| *clears throat* i have pitcures and spoilers. *puts spoiler tags* this is from Saturday's sun, i've trying to find it online for days lol. And i'll post the link to the article because it wont let me steal the pictures - Spoiler:
BILLIE PIPER does her best impression of Sarah Connor in The Terminator as she storms through the streets with a huge gun to battle the Daleks. But things are looking bleak for the Doctor as his lifeless body lays sprawled on the ground. The dramatic scenes are an exclusive glimpse of the new series of Doctor Who, which airs later this year. Call a Doctor ... he's hit Call a Doctor ... he's hit The Doctor (David Tennant) is blasted by a flying Dalek and ex-assistant Rose (Billie) tries to revive him. The spectacular Dalek invasion of Earth was filmed in the early hours of yesterday morning on the streets of Cardiff. Captain Jack (John Barrowman), new assistant Donna (Catherine Tate), old travelling companion Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen) and Rose’s mum Jackie (Camille Coduri) were also on the set. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/tv/article920788.ece

| It airs in the US on the Sci Fi Channel. It's starting series four again in April, the 18th IIRC. It's a programme that's broadcast around the world, not just in the UK I saw those pics the other day, Ettie. You should sign up to the OG forums - there are members who go round Cardiff following the film crews - The Sun gets all their "scoops" from OG (including half-baked rumours!). | |

In 2005 it returned and there's been a series every year since then.
I can't wait for series four!

| Great news for American fans like me XD
Doctor Who season 4 starts here in America on April 18th at 8:30 PM on the Sci-fi network
yes I know later then everywhere else but we've got to live with it XD
And I have no clue it might be different on BBC America but I know that no one in Michigan gets it unless they have satellite XD So that's why I go with the Sci-Fi starting date XD
And on the BBC America website it doesn't say anything in the schedule for the month of April for Season 4, if anyone hears differently be sure to post it for the lucky people who get BBC America XD

I was channel surfing and stuff, and I happened to see something really weird on MTV Sci-Fi - according to the channel information, it said Dr Who - but it was black and white, and it was one of those old movies and stuff...

| (Cross posted to my LJ) 4x01 - Partner's in Crime.- Spoiler:
I loved it! When I first heard that Catherine Tate was becoming the S4 companion last year, I was dead set against the idea. I hated her in The Runaway Bride and was really dreading what she'd do to my favourite TV show...well, having watched her in PiC, I think I was wrong for making such a snap judgement. She did well, they've toned the character down (CT got a better haircut ) - and the banter between Donna and the Doctor was great. The story was a bit silly - and it reminded me of the plot to the Torchwood book I've just read, which had an almost identical set up - a pill that makes you lose weight with unfortunate side-effects. So that jarred with me a bit, but Sarah Lancashire played a great baddy (with none of her nasally screeching from her Corrie days!). The adiposes were so cute! They reminded me a lot of the milk carton from Blur's great Coffee and TV video - and who else thinks they'll make some sort of soft toy out of them? :D The mime scene at the windows was so good - very funny and a great way for the Doctor and Donna to be re-introduced. Donna's mum reminded me a of a slightly posher Jackie, and Donna's grandad was great. Also, did anyone else have to do a double-take at the journalist Penny to begin with - she looked quite a bit like Freema! Then...ZOMGSQUEE ROSE! I'd kind of already been spoiled that she'd appear at the end of this episode (thanks, Bex) but still, when she turned around and the Doomsday music started playing I got chills down my spine. And then she just disappeared! What's going on? Did she know the Doctor was nearby? Was her being there a coincidence? She didn't look too happy...argh, I wonder how long before she'll make another appearance? Only two things I really did not like about this episode - the new title music and the crappy effects on the ending shot with Donna and the Doctor in the TARDIS in the sky. But Wilf doing a little dance made up for that I'm so excited about the rest of the series (and the fact that I get to see the next two episodes as they air and not on a download two days later!)

| I was wondering why the cast someone who looked so much like Freema in the role. Ah well, perhaps it wasn't intentional. - Spoiler:
As for Rose at the end...well, she works for Torchwood in her alternate universe, so perhaps she's using some sort of alien tech to get through like the Doctor did in Doomsday? Now, if the episodes were set in Cardiff, I'd say that she came through the rift Apart from that, I'm all out of ideas...I'm sure whatever it is Rusty has planned will be amazing.
I spoiled myself for last years finale. I really want to be surprised with what happens this series. So, if anyone here posts a theory-rumour-spoiler type spoiler in this thread, please precede it with a note saying that's what it is (as opposed to an episode discussion spoiler). I'm sure most people watching the series who post in this thread will be grateful as well!

So they cast Bernard Cribbins as her grandad instead (he also appeared in the Voyage of the Damned ep.)

I know that it's got its own series, but they introduce it in Dr. Who, correct?

| Yup, Torchwood is introduced as part of the series two arc. Look out for several references to it You should definitely continue to watch even though Rose leaves at the end of series two. Martha's a great companion for the third series, and despite my misgivings at the announcement of Catherine Tate for series four, I thought she was great in the first episode. Series two in my opinion - looking back - is a bit hit and miss. There are several fantastic episodes (for example The Girl in the Fireplace, Doomsday) but there are definitely a few pretty bad eps (Love & Monsters, Fear Her). Series three gets the series back on form with some AMAZING storylines. And from the small spoilers I've read for series four, it looks to be great - well, we've been shown that by the ace series opener. | |

Stephen Moffat's a genius :D Seriously, all of my favourite episodes from all three series so far have been Moffat's episodes. You'll love Blink. And get scared to death by it Anywhoo, shamelss plug time... I wrote a (very!) short fic (well, series of drabbles) on what Mickey was thinking during TGiF, if anyone wants to read :D Five and a Half Hours is a Long Time To ThinkFive and a half hours is a long time to think for Mickey Smith. A series of 100-word drabbles set during The Girl in the Fireplace. Hmm. And I suppose now is as good a time as any to plug the rest of my Who-fics Old FriendsRose bumps into an old friend. Set after School Reunion. The LetterWe can never see each other again, not ever. So please. Don’t show him this. Don’t tell him. Just be there. | Digital Spy's preview of this weeks episode: - Spoiler:
Doctor Who preview: A Sontaran invasionIt's mixed blessings for the Doctor this week as he gets not one, but two blasts from the past. Ah yippy ay ooThe episode begins with Martha Jones calling the Doctor back to Earth for help with her latest case. Now a qualified doctor herself and working for UNIT, Miss Martha is investigating a string of strange deaths relating to Atmos Systems, the new world-wide sat nav system. We learn the identity of Martha's boyfriend fianc?, and here's a hint: it's someone we've met before. The Sontaran StrategemHiding behind the machiavellian machinations are the Sontarans, the self-proclaimed "finest soldiers in the galaxy", but with the unfortunate physical affliction of looking liked baked potatoes. The Doctor has encountered this race before - they featured in the classic series in the 1970s - and knows their weakness, which he exploits to good effect. A hint: it's a trick John Smith would have easily mastered. The Enemy DancesGuest stars this episode include Ryan Sampson as a brainy teenager working for the Sontarans who commits the ultimate act of betrayal; and Christian Cooke, last seen as Jason Donovan's brooding son on Echo Beach, but this time playing a young soldier who gets to be the Doctor's "Assistant" for a short while. Bernard Cribbins is also back as Donna's granddad Wilf after she makes a tough decision. Who Said What? Here are some select quotes from the episode, with the obligatory blanks left in to keep you wondering. Add your guesses at the end of the column! "This is your final ***********." "We do not take orders from ******." "He's like ****: ***** too ***** and people get ******." "You saved my life in so many ways." "Now we begin. Let's *** ** ****." - Spoiler:
The sontarns make me laugh. I felt really bad for Donna when she was in the tardis on her phone, it was really cleaver how he got the message across to her. I felt sorry for Donnas family too except she still gets on my nerves a lot can't wait till Rose is back! I'm glad the real Martha is back, evil Martha was kinda annoying yet cool at the same time. Can't wait until well tomorrow now lol!

| - Spoiler:
I actually squeed when I saw Rose flash up on the monitor for that second :D
Next episode looks good, it'll be interesting to see how the Doctor reacts to finding out he's both the mother and father of his daughter.
And random trivia - the actress playing Jenny (I think I read that's what her name is) is actually Peter Davison's (one of the old Doctor's) daughter. Also - Joe Dempsie (AKA Chris from Skins) is in this ep!
