St Paddy's Day Drabble Challenge

Write a drabble related to Ireland or something Irish!

The challenge here is simple: write a drabble using the prompt given. A drabble is a short, self-contained fiction, which should ideally be exactly 100 words long.

DOES NOT have to be Harry Potter related. You can choose another fandom, or write something original, BUT it must be St Paddy's Day/Ireland related!

Prompt: St Patrick's Day/Ireland
Length: Exactly 100 words, or as close as possible (10 words more or less)
Characters: Any
Genre: Any

Points:
1st place: 150 housepoints
2nd place: 120 housepoints
3rd place: 100 housepoints
Everyone who enters: 50 housepoints

Garrett opened his eyes. He had fallen asleep in school, again. He saw a little man dressed in green from head to toe, excpt for his shiney gold belt buckle. It was a leprechaun. Garrett said, "Wh--who are you? What are you doing here? It's schooltime!"

He looked around to see everyone staring at him, all of them were in green, except himself, he was wearing blue. "I am a leprachaun, you see?" said the leprechaun, indicating himself. "And, you there aren't wearing green. You know what happens to people who don't wear green on this day, right?"

Garrett looked up just in time.

“Oh no, I can’t find anything to wear!”

“This green sweater makes me look like a Slytherin!”

“How about…”

“Would this…?”

Hermione gritted her teeth as she tried to concentrate on Advanced Runes Translation over Patil and Lavender’s chattering over what to wear for St. Patrick’s Day. She didn’t know why they were putting so much effort to find something to wear. Especially since the professors were bound to make them change back into their uniforms anyway.

Finally, she couldn’t take it anymore as she whipped out her wand. Within seconds, screams rang throughout the Gryffindor towers. Patil and Lavender stared at each other’s green faces as Hermione walked out.

You don't need to be Irish to walk on Irish soil...
But it does help to be Irish while walking on Irish ground...because when that is so, then you truely know with all your heart and mind, that you are home. You can be short, tall, fat, thin, white, black or anything of the sort...but that doesn't make you any less Irish.
It excited me, in my heart, to know that I am half Irish.
So yes, we may appear as loony's who believe in Leprechans and Banshee's...but Ireland is the place where you will have the best craic (fun) in the world.

“YAY” Stephy screamed as she rushed into the common room

“What are you yaying about?” asked Sashi looking at her as if she was crazy

“It’s St. Pattys day!” Stephy exclaimed jumping up and down. She started to throw green clovers everywhere and started to decorate the Common Room all in green. All of the ravies looked at her as if she was crazy. Stephy stopped and looked at them asking why they were looking at her stranger than usual.

“St. Patricks day was like 3 months ago.” Sashi said rolling her eyes.

“Oo” Stephy said as her face turned red

Being a leprechaun is NOT as easy as you think. Seriously, I’ve got to follow rainbows all day toting this huge pot of gold – but the good thing is, no one ever finds me! The gold is safe! I’m good at my job. But still, I think there’s something more I could be doing – like doing work to earn the gold. My family gets to go wherever they please to make shoes, and I’m stuck babysitting the gold. You’d think it’d be a lot more fun, but it’s not. Maybe I could slip off for just a few hours, get a few pairs made, contribute. Surely nothing bad could happen…

“You… you’re a – a leprechaun!”

The creature stared at her with wide, innocent eyes. “No I’m not.”

Hallie glared. “Well of course you are! You have the pipe and everything. Look – there’s your rainbow, for Larry’s sake!”

The leprechaun gave her a reproachful look, and a puff of smoke curled from the tip of his un-Leprechaun-y wooden pipe. “Larry won’t like you sayin’ things about him behind his back.”

Another puff of smoke. “’Sides, it’s not me who’s the Leprechaun.”

Rolling her eyes, Hallie eyed the little man in distaste. “Oh, then who is?”

“Why,” said Hallie, who had once been the Leprechaun. “You are.”
