Dinner Then A Gift (Alice + Mathew)

Alice was in a hurry trying to get everything ready before Mathew came but before she knew it there was a knock at her door. She quickly threw her spiral curls into a simple bun. She walked down the stairs to get the door. Turning the handle she saw Mathew.
"You look Handsome." she stated emidiatly after opening the door.
"Hey um can you do me a favor sense your here what shoes should I wear?" she asked holding up a pair of simple red stilettos she had stole from Jona had never returned and a pair of strappy purple sandals. She smiled brightly not sure which ones were better she had always had troubles deciding on things for herself but never had problems choosing things for others. It took her hours to come up with the black pencil skirt and a lace top that had a tan satin underneath the lace. Jona had said that this shirt looked more like lingerie so Alice had covered it up with a cotton sweater and hoped she didn't looked over dressed. She had a tendency to do that.

"Ok." she said slipping the strappy sandals on quickly.
"Hold on one sec." Alice stated and ran up stairs and grabbed a jacket and her purse. After this fast motion she ran back down stairs before a word could be uttered.
"How come you always have better complements then me?" she asked stepping through the door.
"It's unfair how much you spoil me." Alice added on blinking slowly.
"Any way where are we off to you have yet to tell me remember?" she asked curious to where they could possibly be heading
"I mean were we can go is limited considering... so I am lost at the idea of where we could be heading." she said playing with her charm bracelet. Alice had it since she became a vampire it was around 200 years old and she hardly ever took it off.

"United states now why were you there in the first placing to find this place?" she asked her teeth almost gritting as the word united states escaped her lips. Alice took his arm gently and air like.
"Ok we can aperate as long as we don't like leave an ear behind or something." she said with a smile. She trusted him.
"Ok and at this little retraunt what are we suppose to eat?" Alice asked confused on what they were suppose to do at this resturant considering their special diet.
"You probibly have something in mind though so i will let you surprise me and stop asking questions about it." She admited kissing him on the cheek and then moving over to his lipd pecking him softly.

"I suppose I could just go there instead of asking questions so I will be patient." She said leaning her head against his shoulder.
"Ok I’m ready you can whisk me off my feet not literally of course that would be odd or well there is a word for it I just can't think of it right now." She said grinding her teeth a bit at the end she hated apperating it made her natiouse and constantly wrecked her heals when landing. But for him she would do anything.
"What state is this place in out of curiosity." as well as concern there were certain places she would never go again and she thought she would never go back to the united states but hear she is, love could cause you to do anything.
Not New York! Not New York! she pleaded to herself she was hoping that it wouldn't be there but with her luck it probably was.
At least if I am there with him I will be safe right? she thought trying not to find everything negative in this evening.

They arrived in a beautiful restaurant all done up for the holidays. They were seated next to a tree and she was still marveling before all the decoration that was set up. They were seated next to the sparkling tree. When the waiter gave them their menus she whispered Thank you softly.
"It's magnificent but how do they keep it hidden from muggles or non vampire folks from wandering in here?" Alice asked still rather confused over how this place could exist and she would not know where it was and how they could keep this place so secretive.
"And the people who work here are they?.." she asked cutting off Alice figure that he got the point but she swore she could smell human blood around them. Maybe it was because she had spent so much time around humans that it had infected her sense of smell or something like that.

"It's creative all right." Alice said taking everything in.
"The waiter annoys me but I will put up with him for you." She said with a smile as she reached across the table and grabbed his hand.
blood thirsty creatures really were not that savage and I can't believe that he would call his own species blood thirst though it's true still it's not very nice. She thought but pushing it off to the side because it wasn't important.
"Thank you for taking me here." Alice said sweetly.
"Now are you going to tell me why you were Cali because I can only wait so long before I start bugging you about it ever three seconds." she said with a smile she looked down at the menu which had some interesting names for their meals.

"No its fine I bet it just irritates him to work here and can't eat the food." She said trying to give the waiter the benefit of the doubt.
"Oh ya him I think we have met." Alice said remembering having to get him to stop drinking then taking him on the night bus and how after all that he turned out to be so rude.
"So why did you have to wait till we were here to tell me?" she asked curiously.
"Is there more to the story that I don't know about?" she asked batting her eye lashes wondering if there was more interesting part of the story.
"what did he say that made you come all the way to California to watch him drink?" she asked he could be stubborn when he wanted to be but most of the time you could get him to cave.
"The decorations really are beautiful. Thank you." She finished looking at the warm colors once again.

"He called you names?" She asked appalled by the idea that a drunken man was yelling at him.
I hope he broke a few bones in that fist fight. It wasn't like Alice to wish bad thing upon people but there were a few people she did. Anybody who was rude or acted ghastly towards anyone close to her and certain specific people.
"What kind of a fight like fist fight or just a shouting match?" she wondered out loud.
"Ok well if that is all then I suppose I should stop asking questions and move on." Alice said doubting that it was all but didn't have anything important to ask. She looked longingly into his eyes.

“A salamander like the lizard like the newt thing?” She asked only really hearing that one name but realized he was calling him animals
Alice giggled at the idea of Mathew braking Marks arm. "I don't have any more questions on that subject…. For now." she corrected him hearing the shock in his voice. She wasn't very patient to let things explain their selves so she was always bugging people to explain it in full depth.
"Cheer up your getting paid right?" she told him with a bright bubbly smile.
“Um what do you suggest?” she asked both Mathew and the waiter it was weird to be ordering food for once. It had been century’s so it was odd and even then she never went to nice restraints so she just tried to act like she saw people be like in movies when they went to restaurants and order.

Alice chocked once he started talking about human blood.
"What?" she coughed out taking a few deep breaths. She took a long blink re collecting herself.
"Where do you get... the human blood?" She asked really not wanting to know but maybe it wasn't as bad as she thought.
Wow we really are beasts or at least some of us. How could someone just wow. She thought to herself trying to think through everything the waiter had said combined with what Mathew had said. Alice set her menu down waiting for what he said. Her hand shook slightly and she hid it under the table hoping no one would notice. She was concerned for what the waiter was going to say but she had to know just had to.

"Ok” Alice said with a sigh of relief though she couldn't help worry even if it was human but this was just in her nature however.
"I haven't been here before so whatever Mathew decides will be fine for me." Alice said with a faked friendly smile setting the menu down on the table in front of her.
Now I really don't like the waiter. Number one he called me little girl I didn't think I looked that young today and he says those precious creatures you love as if there nothing but gum on his shoe getting in the way and a mess to deal with. It's like no one has any respect for other creatures anymore. Alice though in Mathews direction though it wasn't exactly meant for him she was just ranting to herself in her head.
Onto of that I thought he was lying until you chimed in and pointed the same thing out. She thought actually thinking to him this time.

Alice bit her lip she felt bad for the waiter he was clearly having a bad day and she wondered how he felt about being asked to have another waiter. This is where Jonas powers would come in handy. Alice looked over to him longingly her head leaning on her hand.
"Maybe he was just having a bad day today I mean I doubt someone could be that nasty on a regular basis I mean besides psycho killer people but that’s a different story." She said giving him the benefit of the doubt. Alice looked down at her shoes and then up to him again she had nothing to say for the first time.
"Why don't you talk for right now?" She suddgested not sure what to do. Alice traced her fingers over the carving in the table waiting for him to talk. She didn’t have a clue of what to do when on a real date.

"No it's fine. I'm fine and I’m having a great time I’m just a little puzzled I suppose. I don't think that’s the right word but you get the point right?" She said biting her lip she didn't know what to say she didn't want to ruin his dinner and yet here she was for some odd reason not excited. She shot him a bright smile.
"Lets not leave I’m having a great time and its hard being bubbly and perky all the time you know you should try it its more work than you think." She added on with a slight giggle at the end.
"Stop worrying about me and enjoy yourself for once Mathew is you having a good time?" She asked him looking at him with questioning eyes.
"Probably not because you’re trying too hard to make me happy so just chill ok." Alice finished smiling at him.

"I doubt that we will need to." She said blinking slowly at him.
Alice giggled when the new waiter appeared he was such an opposite it amused her she tried not to laugh to hard in the idea it might offend him but she couldn't help but let out a little bit of a laugh.
"Um same I suppose." She said with a nod handing her menu to him. She thought he came on strong but would you rather have someone annoyed and not happy or someone loud and overly happy though Alice found this true to her as well to be loud and overly happy at points. She fixed stray hairs coming out of her bun and quickly re did her hair into a tighter bun.

"Oh a surprise yey!" She said excited she loved surprises well only if they were good and she doubted he would have something bad planned for her.
"Oh and lets apperate I’m sure drunken homeless men are worse than apperating." She said with a smile he was perfect and he had done everything perfect again.
"Thank you so much for this Mathew it's great." She stated blinking her lashes a few times out of nervous habit.
"So where are we apperating to?" She asked not patient enough to wait.
"You don't have to tell me what just where please?" Alice practically begged him looking into his eyes with her once blue now bright yellow eyes.

Alice eyes widened as she saw the giant cup she could only eat or drink so much how big they thought she was. Her head rose as he asked her a question.
"Oh no I have him." She said looking over to Mathew.
"I'll be fine thank you." Alice clarified for the waiter.
"Near home?" She asked to herself trying to figure out where it was.
"Can I have a more specific answer please?" Alice asked pleading.

Alice took a sip as well and smiled trying to think of where this place could be it was close to home and they had been there before it was like a riddle which she was so obviously bad at.
"Oh well that narrows it down." She stated sarcastically rolling her eyes along with the remark.
"You and your mysteries." She said looking over at his clothes and then to his eyes.
"Do you remember when we first met?" Alice asked recalling the day they had run into each other for the first time. It had seemed like yesterday but it had been a long time since then.
"As I recall it Stephaine tried to flirt with you first." She said thinking or maybe that was a different time and a different time after being alive for so long it's hard to tell the difference between each memories.

"Ya that day is a bit difficult to forget." She said giggling slightly.
"As I recall the first day we met you had your leg stuck in a stair and I and Stephaine had to help you out only she was more then willing to help at the moment." Alice added on thinking about it.
"Mathew why is it that you remember when we first dated more then when we first met?" She asked tilting her head slightly to the left in a sweet manner. She was curious she had reasons for remembering that night but why had he remembered it? She presumed he had other reasons to remember things that would be different then hers or she would remember the exact same thing the exact same way.

"I remember you being embarrassed because that was when you blushed." She said giggling at the thought of him sleeping in the stairs because no one would be able to help him.
"Ok so now I know why you don't remember that day so well but why do you remember when we first started dating so clearly or are you just making that up to fill space?" she asked taking a sip of the pigs blood it was ok she preferred polar bears but they were going instinct so it was better to cut back on that.
"And what day exactly did we start dating because you could argue several different points were that day." she said thinking through all the times they had together someone could make an argument for everyone of those days.

"Oh I think we started dating the day after that because that day had so much going on I couldn't count that as the day we first started dating because my brain would explode from the sheer idea of so much happening." Alice explained with a slight smile but there was a feeling of nerves bobbling about. It annoyed her all of her happy memories seemed to always be ruined by something. She looked down at her ring. Marriage proposal Scelestus, day we started dating ministry, 16th birthday ruined by a different thing every time. It just isn't fair this doesn't happen to other people Alice thought to her biting her tongue so not to ruin his date he tried so hard to make everything perfect she wasn't going to ruin his efforts.
“Mathew isn’t how are relationship develop strange I mean how many people do you know that have such a weird connection and yet such a close bond?” She asked smiling brightly.
“When did you know you loved me?” she asked knowing the specific moment she figured out she loved him.

Alice smiled how you respond to the perfect response. Mathew made it hard to speak sometimes always saying everything that fit perfectly most of the time it left Alice speechless which is a hard thing to achieve.
"Mathew I have one more question." she added on squeezing his hand a bit.
"I was told when I was little that when you found your true love that the moment you saw him you would know that was who you were going to marry... I didn’t have that moment I found out that I loved you when I bit you... so I guess my question is if I didn't have that moment then does that not make us like... true loves?" she asked nearly struggling to say it she was mostly positive that she knew the answers and she was probably over thinking things but she had been meaning to ask him this and for some odd reason it came up now.

Alice’s eyes closed as she kissed him back. She was glad to be with him and never wanted to leave his side. She pulled away gently in fear of falling into her drink when as she pulled away that’s what happened. Blood spilled all over her and she looked down at her dress to see how wrecked it was. Alice burst out into laughter.
"Talk about ruining moments." she said whipping the blood off her face with her hands.
"Do you want a kiss now?" Alice asked sarcastically looking around at the mess she had made.
"I think I should I go clean up." she stared blankly trying to wipe most of it up with the napkin but it was no use it was already stained red by the blood it had soaked up. She gave a slight smirk towards Mathew at his reaction.

"Mathew this isn't your fault I am a cults and that would be the real culprit in this situation.
"By the way don't worry about cleaning my dress I have been around forever I know how to get stains out how do you think I still have tons of clothes?" She joked setting the napkin down it wasn't that big of a deal she hardly ever wore this dress anyway so the little blood stain was not going to be a problem.
"I guess now I don't have to worry about eating all of the blood in the cup." Alice joked joyfully she was always in a better mood around Mathew. He always lit up her mood even when they were fighting against who knows what this would be one of the many reasons she is marrying.

Alice’s eyes widened.
"Mathew you got me another gift?!" she asked crossing her arms in disapproval. She placed her hand on her forehead.
"What am I going to do with you?" she asked with a smirk though.
"Well I am defiantly done." she stated with a small giggle at the end "can you excuse me for a minute?" she asked getting up and walking to the bathroom. She pulled out her wand and quickly did a cleaning spell on her dress. Taking a deep breath she walked back out into the floor of the busy restaurant. Walking over to Mathew and giving him a soft kiss on the cheek she grabbed her bag.
"Let’s get going then." Alice stated waiting for what he was going to say.

"Ok" she said with a deep breath she hated apperating the queasy feeling of your limbs ripping apart and being squeezed through a small whole it was terrible but she agreed that the night bus was worse drunken homeless wizards was much more unpleasant. Alice took another deep breath.

"Ok ready." Alice said with a pained expression. Her eyes squinted and her nose wrinkled at the idea of it but her face returned back to its original look after a few second of scowling. She looked up into his eyes they were so gentle so kind it was worth losing your mind if you could look up into his eyes every day. Alice had reasonably accepted however that she could not have been sane if she bit Mathew thus concluded that she lost her mind to be with him.
