Dinner Then A Gift (Alice + Mathew)

Alice heard a knock and got up to open the door. She was glad it was Mathew and not some other person she didn't want to deal with.
"Hey sweetheart." she said with a smile kissing him on the cheek.
"One second." she said turning around grabbing his present and a blindfold. She then steped out of her house closing the door behind her.
"First off your present." she said handing him a small box wrapped in hot pink paper it was all she had when she wrapped it. It was a knife but not just any knife she had spent about a day charming it to do about a million different things and sent it to many others she knew to add charms she was unable to perform. much like Silvia’s it could track decently but not as well as Silvia’s after all she charmed it ,it could only point in the general direction the person was but it could be found helpful.
"Open it and then you can have a surprise." she said sweetly waiting for what he would think about it and weather he would like it or not.

"Yep got that color just for you." she joked back.
"Well it does a lot of stuff basically anything I could think of it can do." Alice said with a smile.
"That and you can always stab someone with it." she added though in the wizarding world most didn't do this. She reached into the box the knife was in and pulled out a piece of paper.
"It tells you what it does and how to perform each thing." Alice added on holding up the paper so he could see the neat calligraphy on it.

Alice smiled she was excited that he liked it.
"Hey that’s what all the muggles do and it seems to work for most of them." she said with a slight chuckle adding onto his joke.
"Well I am glad you like it because otherwise I would just have to go find some other dangerous object and charm it." Alice stated sarcastically rolling her eyes. She grabbed his hand.
"Are you ready to see your surprise now?" she asked looking up into his eyes the blind fold still in her hand.

[color=blue]Mathew placed the knife back into it's box along with the paper and placed it into his robes pockets.

"I almost forgot about my surprise." Mathew said. He was so amazed by his present the idea of Alice's surprise slipped his mind. "I did however put on my trunks in case I needed them. I'm ready for whatever you got" he laughed.

"I sure hope so." she said placing the blind fold around his eyes.
"Just to add effect." Alice stated kissing him on the cheek. She grabbed his hands turning him around and as she walked backwards she led him to the place. She constantly looked behind her to make sure she wouldn't slip which would be bad for both of them.
"Just up these rocks." she said helping him up the stairs.
"Ready?" she asked removing the blind fold. It was a waterfall but the water had frozen partly. There was water running down the waterfall still but the ice formed a slide like shape.
"Nature made water slid ready to join the polar bear club?" she asked waiting for his response to the situation.

She beamed happy at his expression in her mind it had all worked out differently but then again in her mind she still imagined him human and not a blood sucker like her.
"Well I am glad because you are going first let’s see if you can break the ice." she joked pulling him foreword a bit before walking behind him she didn't want to be the first to try it out though every winter she came out here and every year it froze just like this with a little help of magic through the other seasons. Alice waited wondering if he would even go first or if he would try and make her go first she thought about pushing him in like she used to do to kids at the swimming pool when she was young but figured that to be a bad idea.

"Ok then if you want my help your are going to have to come with Me." she said jumping in as she held his hand pulling him along with her. The ice broke and suddenly she was underwater in the freezing cold it did not bother her but it was still freezing. She looked around it was strange to see it from this view able to see the ice from underneath able to feel the smooth side untouched by anyone. Soon however she bobbed back above the water and this only made the temperature seem colder then it was.
Maybe I should have charmed it first. she thought looking down it would have been easy to make the water warm but make it still look cold.

"I told you to wear something you could get wet." she teased swimming into his arms. She pecked him on the cheek.
"Silly boy." Alice said softly looking up at him as she floated.
"I can only imagine what your mother is going to think when she sees you knife in your hand soaking wet you will look like the rainforest spit you back up." she joked smiling this really was going to be an interesting night. The moon light shown down on them it was a beautiful crescent shape and accompanied the stars like they were just arranged for the two of them.

"I'm concerned about what she would think when she heard that." Alice stated smiling she watched as Mathew tried to stay afloat. She ducked underwater and appeared behind him wrapping her arms around Mathew.
"I would hate for you to drown." she stated rolling her eyes slightly at the idea of a vampire drowning. She leaned her head on his shoulder taking in the scents.
"You smell good." Alice said giggling at what she had just said.
"I must sound like a lunatic half the time I don't understand how you put up with Me." she finished waiting for his response she always felt like she talked too much.

She laughed when he joked about drowning and giggled when he talked about his smell.
"Were is the rest of the pretty little Vampires then must have beat them up before we got here that was the real purpose of the blindfold so you wouldn't see." she joked looking into his eyes.
"And there is no if I am quite positive I went crazy when I turned 18." Alice stated rolling her eyes softly though she was convinced she had lost her mind a while back.
"And that would merely make you a lunatic lover only one of those would charm there selves to attract vampires." she joked pulling her hair behind her ear. She never noticed how he smelt before maybe he wasn't lying.

Mathew slowly started sinking down and she pushed him back up.
"Mathew did you never learn how to tread water?" she asked creasing her eye brow together. She remembered learning how to swim it wasn't the best time but she remebered figuring out how to keep her head above the water.
"Will I have to go bye you water wings?" she joked turning him around so they were facing the wrong direction.
well he has eternity and I’m sure a few more dates involving me and him in water so maybe by the end of this he will be swimming circles around me. Alice thought to herself with a smile she was being awfully mean to him.

"Ahhh I was thinking a unicorn or maybe a princess with sparkles or is that to girlie for you?" she asked sarcastically.
"Maybe I will get you ones with flames and then just bedazzle It." she suddgested Peking him on the cheek. She dove underwater fastly to keep her hair from drying then she was above water again before Mathew could drown. She thought it was cute that he didn't know how to swim very well, she didn't know exactly why but she loved everything about him.

"I would be terrible water wings I am stone you would sink." she said with a smile pecking him on the cheek.
"But I can teach you." she suddgested moving with the slight tide in the cold water. She almost forgot about it if it wasn't for the floating pieces of crystallized ice on the liquid. She placed her arms around his waist and her head on his shoulder looking up at the night sky it was almost like being in the poles and looking at the aurora borealis.

"Ahh I think you would be cute in water wings but I think you would look great in everything... even swim trunk under you robes." she said with a small chuckle teasing him.
"I guess if you don't want my sparkly water wings I could teach you it's not that hard move your legs then arms and try and keep your head above water. That was the important part keep your head above water even though it didn't matter for them if they didn't breathe for a long time she found it to be uncomfortable. At one point keeping your head above water is life or death it was important to know how to resist forces pushing you under and stay afloat is something that should be common knowledge it was for her but then again a lot of things where common knowledge for her that wasn't for most.

Alice laughed watching him flop around the water.
"You look like a drowning kitten." she stated with a giggle. She swam over to him catching him in the water.
"Stroke the water don't attack it." she explained moving his hand in a free style stroke still laughing a bit.
"Ok?" she asked floating away twirling around in the water leaving him to float and such.

"Welcome sweet heart." She stated glad to see him not drowning.
"Now I don't have to get you floaties." Alice said taking off her cover up leaving her in her swim suit. She placed it next to Mathew’s robes along with her shoes and it was a lot easier to move now and she felt light, doing a flip under water.
"Soon you will be an Olympic swimmer." she said a bit sarcastically as she kissed him on the cheek.

"Well as long as you are spending those hundreds of years with me I don't care if you spend it swimming." Alice stated with a bright smile this moment seemed almost to perfect. It seemed as though something would happen most of the time something always did but she tried not to let her mind think about that she was in pure bliss at the moment and didn't want to ruin it with her negative thinking. She wrapped her arms around his shoulder and her legs around his waist.
"When you are in love you can't fall asleep because realities are better than your dreams, doctor sues." she said with a smile kissing him on the lips.

Alice smiled and giggled slightly.
"Unless of course this is all a dream and your entire life is unreal because you are in a coma." she said even though that was completely unrealistic.
"And the key word there is more crazy because we all know that you lost your mind a long time ago." she teased floating around a bit.
"But the important part is that I lost my mind when I met you... wait... that sounded a lot better in my head you are way better at being romantic then I am." she said swimming back over to him with a kiss on the cheek.

"I don't think I need to spend any more time looking at myself in a mirror." Alice joked kissing him on the cheek and hanging her arms around his neck.

"So what do you think better or worse than a hot tub?" she asked motioning to the ice floating in the water. Alice felt at ease in the water relaxed as if this was where she belonged where she had to be. This of course was ridiculous water had been an enemy to her for so long it was odd to think that when it wasn't thrashing you around trying to kill you that it wasn't half bad.

"Oh becoming an adrenalin junkie are we?" Alice asked with a slight giggle about his comment about this being more dangerous because it was bigger and deeper thus if he was human he could possible drown where as drowning in a hot tub was nearly impossible.
"I may be a good teacher but I think that would be too much of a challenge even for Me." she stated looking into his eyes that was the first time she ever said something about being a good teacher. She was always a good learner good note taker but teaching was that even possible? She pondered these things but soon bounce back into realities glad that she was here with him and that nothing had gone horribly wrong so far.

Alice giggled at his comment about it being better than doing drugs.
"That all depends on how far you go with It." she stated watching him swim around her in circles. She watched as he paused as if the ice had frozen him solid.
"Umm... Is there something in the water?" Mathew asked and at that point her smile faded and looked around.
"Um there shouldn't be." she stated feeling something slither across her led and looked over at Mathew who was more than far from her he couldn't even touch her if he wanted to without swimming closer. She swam over to him.
"There never had been before." she whispered being closer to him made it possible to identify that there was anything at all. She wanted to dive under to see what was going on but found that she couldn't pry herself to do it.

Alice watched as Mathew was dragged under unsure of what to do. She dove under after him but it was so dark she couldn't see him too well. She finally reached what had grabbed Mathew and her tryed prying it off his leg but that only made the beast angrier and grabbed her. She reached for her wand only to find she was in her swimming suite and that she didn't have her wand with her. After this she quickly turned to her only ever defense. This was of course biting so she bent down and started knowing on the tough skin of this beast. This was a bad decision because it starts shaking her around and hitting her against the hard ground. Unable to identify the creature she didn't know what to do.
There is no way of fighting this thing if you attack it it just attacks with more force. she thought to him hoping he wouldn't have to go through what she had to.

We could give it a try she thought back to him letting her limbs fall limp as if she had died. For the first time she realized how deep it was because she was slowly being pulled to the bottom.
I don't know what it is doing but I don't think that it's going to let go anytime soon. Alice thought to him as she was nearing where these tentacles where coming from. She couldn't stand to be like this anymore so she tightened up and the monster seemed to notice because it started thrashing her about again. Her head was slammed against a rock.
"Ow!" she let out her hand reaching for the wound and as she did so the creature wrapped around her waist try squeezing her as if it would suffocate her.

The creature tightened its grip not wanting to give up its pray but as Mathew got pass the skin it loosened but not enough to get free. Alice struggled trying to get lose but soon it had her arms and she had nothing to get herself free. She mumbled but couldn't form any words. The grip slacked a bit figuring it had its meal and it was just enough get away a bit. It still had hold of her angle but she could tell the creature was weakening because it couldn't hold on as it did before. She bent down and started attacking it like Mathew had, she hit a nerve and the beast let go and she quickly grabbed Mathew and swam up eventually breaking through the water. She pulled him out of the water and she sat on the bank.
"What on earth was that?!" she asked taking a few deep breaths and coughing out a bit of water.
"Oh my gosh are you ok?" she asked kneeling next to Mathew waiting for his response.

"Mathew what are you talking about?" she asked not even noticing the throbbing pain in her head and the blood streaming down her left cheek. Her hand went to the wound and when she looked at her hand she saw that it was completely covered in blood. She felt light headed but hoped the feeling would pass.
"I don't need to go to saint mungos...I'm a vampire it will be healed anytime now... a few broken ribs and a cracked skull it's nothing trust me." she said trying not to be too loud when she disagreed with going to saint mungos she hated that place it was odd and to clean all the time, there was always other peoples blood that made her go crazy and never once had something gone right there so she was completely against going to any form of hospital. she got up to go see Mathew was he always made it seem better then he really was so she felt the need to go check and make sure how he was doing. Once she got up Alice could feel the blood drain from her face and she fell back down. She figured she should wait for the wound to heal before she made any sudden movements.

"I'm fine Mathew I don't need any help it's just a little cut it honestly can't be that bad." she stated determined not to have to put up with a bunch of people looking at her head as if it was a science experiment.
"I know your worried but I feel fine." she lied she felt terrible and lying didn't help. Alice winced when he put his shirt to her head to soak up the blood. it seemed almost surreal that she was bleeding it didn't make much sense she never really thought about vampires bleeding though as much as she knew about blood she knew it was true. She caught a glance of Mathews arms when he put his shirt to her head she immediately grabbed it to take a look.
"Mathew look at you arm! Please worry about your own injuries before you worry about Me." she insisted though it wasn't that bad she had to distract him somehow. She blinked slowly as it felt like the energy was draining out of her as they spoke.
