Book Seven Timeframe

Previously, in all the books, we've seen it from Harry's birthday until the end of the school year.

But I was thinking, will the timeframe change for book seven? It's pretty much definite that Harry won't be going back to school, and I think it'll take far longer than just under 12 months to destroy the remaining Horcruxes AND defeat Voldemort.

So, what do you think?

I agree that harry wont go back to school but i do think he will return to hogwarts during his mission. Perhaps the timeframe will begin straight after the other book left of, though Im not sure. It might start at his birthday and go longer than the school year?

err well it has to start at his birthday bacuase then he can leave the dursleys house and go off on the mission.

I think it might even start before Harry's birthday... after all, there is Fleur and Bill's wedding, and for all we know it could be before his birthday. As for the end of the book, I'm sure it will last longer because, like Amy said, he won't find all the horcrux left in one year...

I think it'll start right off with Fleur's wedding.

As for the ending...probably at least until the time Ginny graduates from Hogwarts-if she ends up going at all.

I can see it starting at the same time as the others as JK seems to go along that path. As for when in the time frame it will end - probably the same there - at the end of the school year, even though Harry will probably not be at the school.

They will be in school about halfway through the year and then they will leave and it will end and basically Harry will be killed as well as many others so then it will be a dark day for Hogwarts.

yea he wont b able to find the horcruxes in a school year but i wonder how long it will take? i dont think it will go over two years tho. and i think it will start soon after dumbledores funeral cuz of the weding and all.

I think that it will start of at the dursleys at the same point in time as it usually does, then follow on to the wedding (something which im not looking forward to) and then a visit to hogwarts to show the changes and then onto the journey.

I think it will start where the last book left off and then go straight to the wedding, do not pass the dursleys. Then, Harry, Ron, and Hermione, possibly Ginny, will all go to the Dursleys together, then go to Godric's Hollow, like Harry said. After that is a mystery though I have a feeling that throughout the book he will visit Hoggy Hoggy Hogwarts, and Grimmauld Place. I have a feleing it will end on Harry's 18 birthday so it will take a little over a year

soryr but we're talking about the timeline. Everbody seems to be all over the place. I really donmt know anymore. It might start right away it might start at his birthday. But I doubt the birthday theory becasue then the proctection would already be gone before the jouney and we haven't really seen it used yet

Considering the fact that JK said books 6 and 7 pretty much go together as one, I think DH will start nearly when HBP fiinished... maybe just skipping the trip back on the Hogwarts Express, if nothing important happens there. And then we will probably see Harry at the Dursleys and then the wedding and the horcrux.
As to when the book will end - I'm inclined to think they will manage to finsh in one year, otherwise it would be twice as long as OotP! XD But I'm also very curious to find out how exactly they will be so quick - maybe they will be lucky and find some of the horcruxes very quickly

i think that as Katie already said, DH will pick up straight from HBP, i think we'll join Harry at Privet Drive first, most likely with Ron and Hermione dropping in shortly afterwards, unless of course they go straight there with him. I also cant help but think because of the title, we'll see the final battle around Halloween, as an end to the way it started.

i say that it will start close to haryy's birthday the the dursley's house. Harry will probably go to Godric's Hollow.... ya know what i just thought of somthing..... the book is called deathly hallo maybe its refering to Godric's Hollow.... its deathly b/c his parents die there and its hallow b/c its called hollow.... i bet one or maybe both are going yo die there...... thatw ould be ironic.... the book ending where it started.... anyways the book would porbably end at Godric's Hollow it a school year and haryy might go to vost hogwarts.... i couldnt see him not going there
