Thoughts and Opinions Thread

First topic message reminder :

This is the thread where members can post their graphics creations for other people to see, and for thoughts and opinions to be given. Consider it a sort of 'showing off' thread, if you like, but also a place where you can receive constructive criticism for aspects of your graphic making.

Here's my latest graphic, just a simple colourisation, which I'm planning to put on the up for grabs section of my graphics site. My biggest problem with it though is, like always, the text. I'm not sure if it overpowers the image.

Preeeettyyy...but on the first one...the green near her eyes look weird..and on the second one...the picture of Selena looks a bit streached...the first image. But the thrid one looks perfect!

I made last night to a song that was stuck in my head.

I know it looks weird on Kat's banner but I tried to get it off on every layer of the textures that were added and it wouldn't come off :/ I think her face ish just discolored there XD

I dun really see what you mean about the Selena pictures but then maybeh it's cause I know that's how they naturally looked XD

So this is probably one of the simpler banners that I've made but somehow I like it quite a bit XD

Those are great, Amy! I especially like the "a human child" one ^^

And that looks awesome, Amby! Love the font! One thing I would suggest is blurring the texture over the girls

Aaaand...I've been making lots of "book covers" lately XD Jenn's getting some of our stories on textnovel and asked me to make them and...it's been fun :D They're each going to have one more detailed one that I originally made before realizing that they get shrunken on the site, heh. So simpler, smaller ones that look more like real book covers are being made now, will edit this as they come!

love the works Vi, Amy and Amby. Though for Amy I'm attracted to your first 4 more than the others. Wehe. The 4th one is so well put together.

I love the book covers Elana, they're the types that I would've put on the top of my cart pronto. :D Well, we all know that aside from the plot, a clever title and an awesome cover would make a book a best-seller. Hehe. :D

Any thoughts for these banners? I know there are lots to be changed in these, but kinda cannot figure hem out all. So, help,please?

Hmm Sashi on the top one with Luna the picture on the right looks a little blurry, is it supposed to? I think the second one looks pretty okay as it is as for the third one the blurriness again for the picture on the left this time.

Ooooh Amby, I especially love the last one! The text on that is the best, I think...and he's adorable ^^ All I would say is to maybe erase the lines on him

And that picture of Summer and Thomas is so cute!

And Sash, I really like the pictures you used in your banners! The only thing I would suggest is to have the repeated text (ex: the light purple cormac mclaggan) a bit faded so it's easier to read

So...I stayed home sick today and finally made some new sets for Jenn and myself to shamelessly promote our stuff XD Thoughts?

I meant for the lines to be there Elana XD I didn't really like it so much without them, though maybe I could make them a bit lighter.

I like the one with Chace and Brittany a bit better than the second one though they're both really good ^.^ However maybe change the black text on the first one? closer to Chace it gets a little bit harder to read.

And of course all I ever have is more character stuff XD

lol well I just thought that you meant it to be like she was sitting and he was standing behind her or something XD so I think that it looks fine XD

and I know, I love the Selena pictures too ^.^ I had a whole banner made before and then I found those and switched out the pictures cause I liked them so much XD

It looks okay, though I should say, I am not that fond of paralleled stuffs in that way. Uhm, maybe if there were at least something else that separates the other cuts from the other would be more pleasing for me. But anyway, that's just me. xD And as I have said, it looks good, Lana.

I myself, is trying something regarding making siggies. Well, not that good, but...this could be a good start right?

lol, totally fine ^^ That's really cool Sash! The only things I would do is take out the footprints and put the text above the thin black line below the Luna on the left's chin.

And...I've been making book covers like crazy lately XD I'm on TextNovel and have some friends on there, and I told them I could make them covers...and heeeeere they are, along with one of mine and some of Jenn's, hehe.

So I haven't done many graphics lately but I did make a photography header for GPA last night XD Marie did add the border and put the smokey texture on the bottom but otherwise the rest was done by me XD

wow Elana XD Those are all great XD Though I'd have to say my favorite is the Andy one just because I like how it was done XD

So I've got another new character myself, which means a new header and a new banner so... XD

@Amby&Lana: Do you two still need opinions? Well, you're both already good at this stuff. xDD I actually cannot think of a time where your graphics will be disappoint me.

You're welcome, and thanks for thinking that I am adorable even though I used the word "you're" in that last post instead of "your". Haha!! [[And a lot of my friends say that I am a genius when it comes to English. How dumb. xDD]]

Anyway, "The Wonders of a Robot Voice" is so intriguing. xDD The title, plus that graphic! The child looks so innocent (well, as if there is one that is not), and along with the title, they matched really well. Perfect. I want to read it. :D

lol, lots of people who have English as their first language (you spoke Filipino first I'm assuming ^^) mess that up, no trouble hehe. Click here to read the story!

I made a Selena set for use around here, cause she's my favorite XD


And I've had a little issue with Holly's banner XD See at first I wasn't sure which positioning I liked the best but then I ended up making two different banners XD The second one has a third one with it because there was a slight variation in one of the layers that I couldn't be sure I liked or not so, it's not that different but it matters to me XD

Wow! I love the background colors! :]
I say it's good, although maybe changing her ph0t0s textures? Just to have the oily lookish parts not too n0ticeable. And the texts' font? I just f0und the "laughing" text different. But maybe its just that i found it not good looking at all unlike before. But aside from those t'was all good.

I really like the Selena Gomez one! The colors scheme is fantastic
The second one looks kinda funky to me. I can't really figure out what it is though. It might be the framed section.
Maybe try tying in some of the colors on her shirt into he background?
Besides that, it looks really good! Is that the daughter on Castle?

I think it looks funky a little cause I had some minor problems with the blending and whatnot but maybe that's it too.

And it is Molly Quinn, aka Alexis Castle. I loooooove her so much XD

Ooh, I like it. The only thing I'm unsure of is the blots on the face on the faded image. I dunno, I'm just not a fan of that but otherwise I think it's very nice.
