Thoughts and Opinions Thread

First topic message reminder :

This is the thread where members can post their graphics creations for other people to see, and for thoughts and opinions to be given. Consider it a sort of 'showing off' thread, if you like, but also a place where you can receive constructive criticism for aspects of your graphic making.

Here's my latest graphic, just a simple colourisation, which I'm planning to put on the up for grabs section of my graphics site. My biggest problem with it though is, like always, the text. I'm not sure if it overpowers the image.

I just made this....but something is missing...besides the writing. Anyone know??

Violet, I think it's colouring and texture that you're missing, as well as the text. At the moment it looks like the base of the graphic - you could experiment with different layer options and textures maybe.

I do have texture on it though.....like 4 of them. I thought you could see them.....but I guess I only can because I know what they look like and all. I can try some more.......and I can try some diffrent fonts on mine.

hmm I agree with Amy on that one Lesley, I mean I can see one of the textures, but it still looks kinda plain.



I just made that out of boredom, any suggestions on what could make it better? XD

Maybe have the picture brighter?

I like it, Cookie! I had to look at it a couple of times to realise that I quite like the 'fizzy' effect. The text and font is perfect!

Speaking of GPA I am guilty of making yet another character, so here's the set I made, thoughts? I didn't put the character name, mostly because I'm still not sure of it yet XD

I love the textures and colors, but regarding the pics of the dude, I dunno, I've kinda gotten bored of that style of outlining. I think that's just me though, cuz I recently saw an ad somewhere using that style. :D

I was looking at all of these and was really amazed at all of you guy's work and a question occurd that i want to ask and that question is, What are ya'll using to make these banners?

I think of bigfoot's wife when I see this. Haha, no offence, cause she is really pretty, but all messed up and like, I think of Bigfoot's wife.

I think maybe you should make the earse a bit bigger like maybe 100 or something and move as far but close as you can to that pic on the left and earse the sides to make it look blended more and maybe some nice colorings

I've made this banner for a Reverse Artathon Challenge at an LJ community (basically, banners get submitted and participating authors claim a banner and write a story from it).

So... opinions on this banner, please? Do you think there's enough in it for an author to be able to get inspiration for a fic out of it? Is the banner on the whole okay?

I like your sig banner, but I'm not sure if I'm too keen on the lines across the text...

I was actually trying to re-inact the bit you do in Primary School about learning to write in joinjt... and you write between the lines... Tried to find something with less lines on it but there wasn't any
