The Final Battle

Sky smiled. She knew this question would come up.

"Well, I thought I knew. I have been just protecting myself and a few friends so far by using some spells and hexes, but earlier today a deatheater tried to attack me and my friend Dani. I hit him with an expelliarmus charm but he regained his wand. I was a little sloppy and didn't act quick enough."
Sky sighed.
"Anyway, my friend is an animagus, a wolf. She went after the deatheater in her wolf form and I screamed to her to kill him. She got really angry with me and started yelling that we shouldn't kill our enemies, that we should just attack them, she said that killing goes against everything the DA stands for, but that's not how I feel. It's me or them. I am out for myself. I do not want to end up dead and if I have to kill someone, so be it."
Sky looked at Fated.
"So, what does that make me?"

~He raised a brow~

"It makes you like me...out for your own gain." He replied. "I'm supposed to be following the orders of the Dark Lord and his annoying daughter, but I have my own mission." He looked around then continued.~ "I am on the side that benefits me."

Sky looked at Fated. She understood what he was talking about. She didn't want to see people dying around her she loved but she was going to be damned if she was going to let anyone kill her in the process.

Sky looked into his eyes. "Come with me, in here, so we can talk." She said while pointing to the door of the room she had just come out of.
"I have a few questions for you."

"Look," Dani said puching off from the wall she was standing at. "I wouldn't have killed him, I'm not like that. I wouldn't stoop to their level. Benefit always leads to downfall." she muttered that last bit

~His blue eyes twinkled, slightly narrowing as he looked into hers.He then nodded to Sky and walked into the room ~

"Ask away." He shrugged as he stopped twirling his wand and slid it into his pocket. He walked over and sat down on a desk top, looking to Sky giving her his full attention~

Dani frowned, 'what was so important that she couldn't say infront of her?' but sighing she picked up her bag, wand out and walked down the hall.

~As he sat there he wondered just what Sky had to say to him.~

Sky returned Fated's look and entered the room with him.

"The first thing I want to ask you is why did you become a deatheater?"

~He had not been prepared for that particular question and his gaze fell to the floor~

"Well...after an auror- a supposed order member- killed my family, I had no one left so... I was given the chance to join the Death Eaters -the sworn enemies of the Order. The Dark Lord and the others took me in, trained me, and gave me a place to belong in exchange for my loyalty. " He paused then sighed deeply. "To kill aurors and order members-that was my only focus and has been because the more of them I kill, the more likely I will find the one who killed my family. Though, being a Death Eater has taken its toll on me, I only joined them to benefit myself, and my own mission."

~He looked back to her~ "That's why..."

Sky stood there frozen in her spot.
"An auror killed you family....why?"

She couldn't believe it, but if this was true she could see why he would turn to the side who was against the ones who had killed his family.

She tried looking into his eyes but he was still looking at the floor.

~He shrugged~" I really don't know why...all I can guess is they mistook my father for being a Death Eater because he did meet with a guy who he thought was a friend and he didn't know his friend was a Death Eater until he was offered a chance to join the dark lord." His blue eyes darkened. "And even if he were a death eater, my mother and baby sister were also killed. And the guy said that "It was all for the good of the Ministry!" He slammed his fist on the desk. "So...I won't stop until I find him and kill him myself!" He sneered~

Sky was shoked to hear what was being told to her. No wonder he was so against the Aurors. To kill someone without even knowing wether or not they were even deatheaters? To kill his Mother and sister?

Sky walked over to Fated.

"I am so sorry. I shouldn't have asked." She saw how upset he was.
She bent down so she was level with him.
"I would have probably done the same thing if that had happened to my family."

(Gahhhhhhhhhhh no more hot water!! ~returns shivering~ I'm b-b-back!)

~He sighed then frowned~ "But..I am sort of stuck now between what I want to do and what I am supposed to do," He added bitterly.~

"Well, do what you think is right. That is what everyone should do, right? You are a stong person from what I can see and you know what you are all about."

Sky looked at him.

"Fated, are you questioning your loyalty to him? Do you think you made the wrong decision?

"Sky, lately I've become confused as to why I even bother to put up with him. There was a time where I wanted to join the aurors but that was before my family was killed. I was always hoping to become one of the Order members but now...now I despise them...but I also despise my own collegues."

~He frowned and then looked to her with his eyes beginning to water.~ "I have no intention of killing innocent beings. I just want...answers..."

Sky saw Fated's emotions and she could feel his torment. She put her hand on his back and sighed. Even if he wanted to leave Voldemort, there was no way he would ever get out of it alive.

"What do you know about this auror who killed you family? Do you know who he is? Have you ever thought he may have not been who he appeared to be?" She looked deeply into his eyes.

"You need to be careful. As do I." She sighed again.

"I have questions I would love to ask Voldemort, but I am afraid of what the answers would be."

~He sighed and then folded his hands and rested his chin on them~ "Well the man was taller than my father and had silvery gray hair..."

~He stopped as his mind suddenly went blank~

"I will be careful." He mumbled.

"I was wondering. Who can I talk to about having these memories about Voldemort when I was really young? I have flashes about him quite often but I can never make them out. I know there is a conection there somewhere, but I really don't know if I want to know the answers or not."

Sky looked at Fated.

"I was the first one ever to be sorted into Slytherin in my entire pureblood's family history. I can speak parceltongue and no one in my family, as far as I know has been able to. My family doesn't know, and I have these images of Voldemort. I know it is all conected somehow."

~He looked to Sky with a slow nod~ "I wouldn't be surprised if there is a connection. But in dealing with Voldemort, I advise you to be careful." He warned.~

Sky looked at Fated.
"I know I need to be careful, that's why I haven't asked anyone about it. You are really the only one I have mentioned it to. For some reason, I feel I can trust you. Why do you think that is?"

~He gave her a thoughtful look then shrugged~ "I'm not sure, but don't put too much trust in others." He advised as he slowly stood up and paced slowly~

"There's a lot more about me that you don't know...and for the time being, it is best to keep things that way."

~He ran a hand through his blond hair as he sighed.~ "I have a bad feeling that something terrible is going to happen soon."

Sky looked at Fated. She wondered what others secrets he had.

"There are things about myself that I would rather not let anyone know, so I know what you are saying. Don't worry, I wont ask you about them. I am grateful that you have told me all that you have."

She frowned. "What kind of things do you think are going to happen?"

~He shook his head, glanced to the door and then looked to Sky~

"I think that the balance of power in the Wizarding World is going to shift and not in a good way. Statistically, when that happens, the chance of survival for this school may be..." ~He looked down. "...close to zero."

Sky stepped back away from Fated.
"Yes, I think you may be right. I have been seeing more and more Deatheaters as the days go by. We need to be extra careful."

She looked at Fated.
"Are you going to be alright? Do you know what you are going to do?" Sky asked in a concered way.

~He nodded slowly.~ "I'll be fine. " He started walking towards the door~ "But as for what I will do...I don't know...I just..."

~His words were cut off by a loud explosion and the whole classroom was engulfed with smoke,and dust~

"Sky, watch out!" He snapped as he pushed her out of the way as part of the ceiling came crashing down on him~

"Aghh!" ~He shouted as he was burried underneath parts of the ceiling, desks, and other broken things~

::Rachel ran from wherever she was and found herself near the Great Hall. She had never seen it this empty before.::

((Jesse where are you, I want my wand!))

(piled under a mountain of debris in a classroom with Sky)

~He winced as more of the ceiling crashed down on top of him now unable to see anything but darkness~

((Err allright))

::She jumped when she heard a crash coming from a room from above her::

"What was that?!"

~Fated coughed~ "Sky...are ...you okay?" ~He called out into the darkness~

Sky was awakining from being knocked out. The last thing she remembered was Fated pushing her and a loud crash. She slowly sat up and was shocked to see the debris all over the room. She looked at Fated and saw that he had debris all over him.

Sky stood up and went over to Fated. "I'm fine. Thanks for saving me." She said kindly to him and she knelt down beside him and started removing what appeared to be peices of the ceiling that were on his legs.

Dani heard a loud crashing sound from behind her, she broke into a run, heading back to the classroom where Fated and Sky were

~He coughed from the dust but was relieved that neither himself or sky were hurt~


"It sounds like the battle is intensifying out there" He said as he slowly got to his feet.~

Dani pushed open the door,

"What the bloody hell happened in here?"

Sky looked up and saw Dani. "Dani, I don't know. Fated pushed me and I heard a loud crash. I was knocked out and Fated had debris all over him."

She turned back to Fated. "I can't believe this is happening. Thank God there was no one else in here. Maybe you should sit down for a few minutes."

Dani looked up to see the hole in the ceiling, "Who dun it?" she asked Fated

~He felt a tiny bit dizzy but he shook his head~ "No, I'm fine but Voldemort and the others are attacking from the inside. " He said weakly.~

Sky sighed.
"I was afraid something like this was going to happen."
She turned to Fated.
"What are you going to do? Go with them, or stay here?"

Dani heard footsteps, ans sharpened her hearing a bit, "Someone's coming," she hissed

~He gasped as he heard someone coming~ He braced himself against the wall~

'What am I going to do?' he mentally questioned himself. 'I could easily capture these two and take them to the dark lord. I'd be back in his good standing...but...should I?' He thought~

Dani's lip curled back in a snarl, and she drew her wand, "I hope you know where you stand Fated."

Sky heard the noise and turned twards Dani. "We better get out of here. I don't want any of the deatheaters seeing us with Fated. They will wonder why he is not harming us."

Dani looked at her, "What happened to them or us?" she asked sarcastically.

~He gave Dani and Sky a push towards the door~

"I..I don't feel like making the Dark Lord happy at the moment so...so you two go! Run! I'll handle my own comrades. Perhaps, we'll meet again."

Dani looked at him, "We'll meet again," she said. "Come on," she pulled sky through the door and hurried her toward the kitchens

Sky looked at Fated and nodded. "Until we meet again." She said and walked out of the room with Dani.
"I know what I said earlier. Them or us, but I don't want Fated to get hurt. He really has been through a lot and I understand where he is coming from. As for any other deatheater, let them try to cross us. They wont know what hit them."

Dani nodded, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have over reacted way back when...But I was just...nevermind, lets get out of here,"

Sky nodded to Dani and followed her down the hallway twards the kitchens. "We really need to get more people together before we even think about trying to take on the deatheathers alone." Sky said to her.

"Actually we don't," Dani said. "All we need is a plan."

"Well, we better think of one and fast because someone is coming now!" Sky whispered and pointed her wand down the hall.

Dani nodded, "Just let me change, I'll get them, I won't kill them but I'll get them down."
