The Black Lake

"Lucky you," Replied Shadow.

"I am sorry, I am just a bit on edge right now. If you wish it, I will stay."

"I don't think so."

Shadow hugged her knees to her chest, looking out over the water.
"I don't know."

Shadow yawned quietly, hiding her over long canines with her hand.

Under the water of the Black Lake, Elladora was swimming swiftly. She was moving slower than usual because she had forgotton her bathing suit, but nevertheless she stayed underwater, searching for something.

'It had to be somewhere on the grounds of Hogwarts...' she thought. Suddenly a merman was in front of her. It's eyes screamed "get away from here", glaring viciously at her. For a few seconds there was only silence, then he left.

Elladora thought no less of it, but figured on leaving soon. Her air supply was fine, but if she stayed, more may come to attack her. Moving at double her speed, she quickly scanned the floor of the lake, picked up a rather pointy rock, and placed it back where it was before making her way up to the surface.

She broke the surface of the water nearest Hogwarts School and pushed herself out of the water. Her sea of black hair resembled a waterfall, her silvered tips acting like the white water. She sat herself down on a rock and sighed, gently moving the water with her feet. She thought quietly to herself, "Perhaps I could go to the Forbidden Forest next... or possibly the Quidditch field. No, it wouldn't be there..."

Emmalynn noticed Elladora climb out of the water.

"Wierd... Ella's a Ravenclaw... She doesn't skive off classes...." she mumbled, mainly to herself.

Shadow also raised an eyebrow at Elladora, thinking that something was up with her. She placed two fingers on her temple and gently probed the other girl's mind.

Emmalynn, sensing what Shadow was doing, quickly took the girl's hand away from her temple.

"Ella will probably kill you if you do that. She's a Seer, and when it comes to the mind.... well just don't mess with her. She probably lost something. She's really clumsy sometimes..." Emmalynn said in warning, releasing Shadow's hand.

Shadow pulled her hand out of Emmalynn's grip, glaring at her.
"I owe her." She put her hand back to her head and continued.

"That doesn't really matter to me." Said Shadow firmly.

Shadow smiled slightly at Emmalynn. Shadow knew things that not many others did.

Emmalynn smiled at her friend.

"Yup. But McGonagall and Flitwick hate me right now.... and I don't have Potions or Defence today."

She noticed her friend look at Shadow and caught her eye. She slightly nodded to confirm her friends suspicions.

Once Elladora had started to swim over to them, Shadow had let her hand drop from her head, but didn't stop trying to get through Elladora's defenses.

Shadow ignored Dorothy, still battling with Elladora's defences.

Shadow closed her eyes, concentrating even harder.

Shadow frowned, keeping up her efforts.
"I can break my father's defences." Shadow put a hand up to her head, focusing harder.

"I can always try." Shadow replied.

Shadow doubled her efforts o break Elladora's defenses and sensed that she was getting somewhere.

Hunter sat over to the far side and just listened to them speak.

Emmalynn sighed and looked at Dorothy.

"That's what Shadow was trying to do," she said, indicating what Elladora had just told Shadow. She turned to Elladora.

What were you looking for, Ella? she thought.

Hunter walked to emma and asked "who is shadow....im Hunter by the way.*sticks out hand to shake*

Who is Shadow?asked hunter persuasively.

Emmalynn looked at the piece of paper Elladora had given her and smiled.

"So that's what she was looking for..." she mumbled. She then lit the paper on fire withher wand and Vanished it. Then she turned her attention to the boy who was next to her.

"Shadow is the one with the cloak..... if that's what you wanted to know..." Emmalynn took his hand and shook it. "Emmalynn Malfoy," she said, smirking.

Shadow watched as Elladora left and rested her mind slightly.

So your kin to the Malfoy's?Hunter asked curiously.

Shadow raised an eyebrow at Hunter. Since when did your heritage matter? She thought to herself.

Hunter standing there waiting for Emmas Response.

torren walked down to the lake, she thought it would be a nice quite place to relax after a hard day. she sat down under the shade of a tree. she looked up and jumped a little, she just noticed she wasn't the only one there.

Shadow sensed some one else's presence and looked round. Seeing that it was Torren, she got up and went to sit next to her.
"Hello."
