3rd House Quidditch: Gryffindor vs Slytherin : 22nd - 26th

(Slytherin Beater)

Jess sang as she danced out into the warm end of summer.. wait that made no sense.. it was almost fall yet it was hotter than the hottest day of spring.. she had no problem with it though, the light hit her face and she smiled from the warmth. She danced her way to the field, skipping and leaping, then hopped on her broom and flew high up in the air, twisting and twirling, and spinning and turning.

She was almost too happy to be in this game. "HEY JUNE!" she called out,zooming over to her, "how are you?"

[Slytherin Chaser]

Ame sat on the bench in the dressing rooms tying her shoes. She was ready for the ensuing game, and only had a few more things to do before she would meet the rest of her team out on the pitch. She stood up and brushed away the wrinkles that had formed in her robes while she was sitting. She looked in the mirror on her locker door and smiled. Her lips felt dry, so she grabbed her cherry lip gloss and smeared some on her lips. Flipping her pony tail over her shoulder she nodded to herself and slammed the locker shut. Picking up her broom and sudden burst of energy erupted from inside. She was more ready to play todays game than she had in a while. She reached outside and it was so bright and cloudless, she wished to herself they were allowed to wear sungalsses. She had just bought 2 new pairs on her shopping trip. Her new Gucci's would go great with her robes...but oh well. She threw a leg over her broom and settled herself before shooting straight into the air. She squinted towards two figures flying around. As she grew closer, she saw the first was Jess, and she shouted out a Hello. The other was June, She shouted hello to her as well. Ame called Jess over to warm up before everyone else got there. "3 laps! GO!" And they were both off in a green blur.

(Gryffindor Beater Alternate)

Izzy tripped down the domority stairs cursing the never ending vertical drop. Running into the locker room, she threw on her robes and tossed her shoes over her shoulder. Izzy grabbed her beater's bat and broom. She was so apprehensive that she was late, because this was her first quidditch match and she didn't want to make June mad. Isabella started to do laps around the field and tried desperately to put on her shoes. After about 5 laps she got them on.

Glancing around the quiddditch pitch she saw Katie, Cris, and June. Quickly, she made a sharp turn and I headed to where June was flying. "Hey June," Isabella yelled.

(gryffindor Chaser)

Becca pulled her way too thick brown hair into a loose bun on the back of her head. A smile formed on her face as she stood up and headed for the Quidditch pitch. Today was going to be a good day, she just knew it. Becca half jogged all the way there, careful to not look to eager as she finally made it there, though. "Hey!" She called out to everyone, scanning the pitch.

June, Izzy, Jess, Katie, Ame, and Tina were already out there. 'yay!' becca thought to herself, glad she wouldn't appear late. She mounted her broom and easily slid on it. She was off to a better start than the last match already! (When she had gotten on her broom last match, she had almost automatically fallen off. Balance had never been a strong point for the young girl.) She kicked off so she was hovering slightly, and then went higher. Becca took a few laps around the Pitch, pushing herself to go faster everytime, but not fall off. That's all I need, she thought sarcastically, to fall off my broom during warm ups.

(Gryffindor Chaser and Co-Captain)

Aliza hurried on to the quidditch pitch clad in her red and gold uniform. She was looking forward to this game - it was the 3rd game of the term and there was a big hype about it, what with it being gryffindor/slytherin. Looking around she saw that the majority of their team had arrived and only 2 slytherins. Smiling she mounted the broom and did a quick lap of the pitch to warm up - greeting everyone along the way.

(Gryffindor Beater Alternate)

Izzy flashed a grin at June and kept doing her warmup laps. She glanced down and saw Becca join their team's ranks. She breathed a sigh of relief as Izzy flew around the pitch trying to stretch as best she could. Izzy concentrated on her warm up laps and all of a sudden let her broom quickly dip and go barreling towards the ground. "Oops, Izzy thought as she regained control of her broom. "Well, that was close."

Izzy worked to perfect some of the moves she had looked over the night before, but she didn't dare try a sloth roll. Izzy chuckled to herself, "If I come barreling off my broom how is that going to help the team."

(Slytherin Beater)

Mick hurried quickly to the quidditch pitch, mounting his broom before he had even reached the edge of te pitch.

He quickly did a circle of the pitch and then flew towards Kitty, his bat held in place as he marked his fellow slytherin in order to protect her from rogue bludgers

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

"Aliza!!! Becca!!!!" June called, waving to her friends. She was getting even more excited now. Almost everyone on the team was here! June hummed to herself as she continued looking for the bludgers. Then, she noticed three green blurs, flying into the air from the ground. More Slytherins… just great… But June grinned and, since the game hadn’t started yet, wouldn’t let her competitive streak get in the way of greeting her friends. “Hey Kitty, Mick, Rai!!!” June called and waved. Suddenly, she noticed Izzy almost fall off her broom. June winced and sighed in relief as her fellow Beater righted herself. Izzy was a beginner, but June had faith that her friend would soon play like a veteran! Hopefully, that would occur during this game against Slytherin. She glanced towards Madam Hooch. When would the game start?

Gryffindor Chaser

Katie did some loop de loops as the rest of the team began to arrive. Slytherin was still missing a few players, and the game still hadn't started. It turned out she didn't need to rush so feircly afterall. Oh well, better safe then sorry. Hopefully Katie would improve since the last game, Slytherin would be a tought team to beat.

Gryffindor Chaser and Co-Captain.

Aliza continued circling the pitch growing more and more bored as she did so. When on earth would the quaffle be thrown into play? With a sigh she hoped that the rest of the game wouldn't be so slowly paced. After a while her thoughts drifted back to the previous game - the team had pulled together well and managed to win their first game. If only they could have as much sucess in this one. Still...Raistlin was't much of a match for their team. (Haha! )

The weather was warm and pleasant and though there was no wind in sight the trees stirred a bit at the edge of the pitch. With all these things to distract her it was a wonder she actually noticed when the red ball was finally thrown into play. With a whoop she flew after it, urging her broom as fast as it would go, hopefully she would reach it first.

Gryffindor Chaser

Aliza was in pursuit of the quaffle when she realised that Kitty was on her tail. Unfortunately they were neck-and-neck and so there could be no way of determining who would get to the ball first.

Thinking fast Aliza decided to use the tactical part of her brain to get the quaffle. Leaning forward she managed to get her broom just a few centimeters ahead of Kitty's and in a fast movement she swung her broom round so that it span - hitting the quaffle with the tail of her broom. As it ricoheted in the opposite direction she flew towards it as fast as she could. Luckily she had hit it away from Kitty giving her the advantage. Eventually she gained on the ball and scooped it up, tucking it safetly under her arm.

Gryffindor Chaser

Aliza sighed when she realised Kitty was still on her tail. As Kitty made attempts to grab the ball she tried to sheild it with her body as much as possible. Luckily she had managed to prevent Kitty from getting the quaffle. At least until Kitty knocked her broom.

She let out a squeal as her broom flew slightly out on control but managed to keep a hold of the quaffle while she steadied herself - no easy feat with Kitty still harassing her!

Well.. Aliza thought If that's how she wants to play. Suddenly Aliza angled her broom so that it pointed downwards at an almost 180 degree angle. She flew downwards trying to get Kitty away from her and then immediately flew directly upwards again. Hopefully she'd managed to shake Kitty off..

Gryffindor Chaser

Aliza sighed, Kitty had managed to get the quaffle? How did that work out?? Still...she was sure she could get it back. If only...where was June??

Seeing June flying overhead she nodded and flew underneath Kitty - June would know exactly what to do. Before long the quaffle would be back in her possession. And Kitty.... She shrugged. This was quidditch, it was different from the real world.

Gryffindor Seeker

Cris just about ready to fall asleep on her broom, when she heard Madam Hooch's whistle. "Oh, yay!", she cried. "I really feel like today is our day!" She looked at the other players and noticed that her two co-captains were already deeply involved in a fierce fight for life... or ..the quaffle (yes, she did happen to chose weird expressions from time to time.. so what? xD). "Gooo mummy and sissy!", she cried before she saw Kitty grab the Quaffle and head straight toward the Gryffindor goalposts. Dearly hoping that her sis would stop her with one fat bludger and the mummy would get the Quaffle instead, she sudden;y decided to help them and flew into Kitty's way, criss-cross-ing in fron of her in an attempt to confuse her and make it difficult for her to see the goalposts well. "... the Snitch has time.. ", she thought, "but my teammates are more important right now!"

(Gryffindor Chaser!)


Becca crisscrossed with Tina, liking the idea instantly. She sighed as she saw it only worked a little. They'd have to think of something else... Becca shot her head sideways to look for what to do as she saw Kitty going to the goalposts. She saw June's nod and smiled slightly evilly. Flying faster toward kitty, Becca swirved slightly, slowing down a tad bit, so it looked like she was going to crash straight into the slytherin player. 'Look out, here the gryffindor's come!' she thought to herself with a mental giggle. Oh God, now she was mentally giggling. There was seriously something wrong with that girl. Becca's bangs flapped back as she speeded toward the slytherin. She smiled sweetly as she came ever closer...

Gryffindor Chaser

Aliza grinned as she saw the bludger and Becca both flying at Kitty. She flew underneath Kitty, patiently waiting until she dropped the quaffle - which she was sure to do. But until then she kept an eye on the bludger that was hurtling toward Kitty - it would do no good if it hit her too.

(Gryffindor Keeper)

Amber ran unto the pitch late with a cringe. Knowing that she was in loads of trouble with her captain. She kicked her up into the air on her broom and headed over to the hoops having no idea what was going on. When she made it over to the Gryffindor hoops she looked around and tried to locate the quaffle, not having any sucess. Seeing June however she yelled to her.

"I'm sorry I'm late!"

Gryffindor Chaser

Aliza looked up when she heard a shout and grinned when she saw Amber. However, in this momentary lapse of concentration something had happened up above. Seeing something red hurtling towards she realised that their play had worked! With a cheer she reached out and grabbed the quaffle, vowing to keep it better than she had last time.

(Gryffindoer Beater Alternate)

"Sweet," Izzy yelled, as she watched the play some of her teamates made to thwart Kitty. Quickly, Izzy returned her attention to her search for bludgers, June had found them momemnts before her, but she was determined to find the next one. "Bludger, bludger, bludger," she muttered under her breath. Suddenly she spotted a bludger near the highest Slytherin goalpost. Izzy sped off in the direction of the bludger, hoping no one would see her. As she came near the bludger, it suddenly veered to the right. "Shoot," she said as she had to slow down and make a hard right turn. Quickly, Izzy picked up speed and returned to chase the bludger.

(Gryffindor Beater Alternate)

Izzy was still chasing the stupid bludger, but she was determined to catch up to it. She swerved slightly to the right and was about to head in a straight line to it when Izzy heard someone call out to her. They said, "Ripping Repercussion?" Easily recognizing June's voice, Izzy grinned and quickly nodded. Izzy aligned herself with the bludger and was ready when it came whizzing at her. June might be small, but she sure can hit a bludger, Izzy chuckled. Focusing on the bludger she quickly spun in a tight circle. As the bludger came in contact with her bat she slammed the bludger back at June and she began to loosen the corkscrew circles into loose circles waiting fo the bludger.She had put a slight curve on the bludger as it was gaining speed. June is a great teacher, I just did that pretty well, Izzy thought, maybe this will work.

"Oh, June," Izzy called, with an evil glint in her eye.

(Gryffindor Beater Alternate)

"Oh shoot, what in the world is he doing?" Izzy thought. Then she watched June zoom through the air and save the Gryffindor keeper from the BLUDGER that the Slytherin SEEKER KICKED. Izzy was well taught by her captains, but they had never touched upon the subject of SEEKERS playing as BEATERS. So naturally, she was just the slightest bit confuzzled. She shot June a very confused look. As she glanced at June she saw a black blur that she immediately identified as a bludger. She was getting ready to hit the bludger doing fast, tight corkscrew turns that her captains had taught her.


As the bludger was a mere couple feet away from her instead of swinging her bat she nosedived. The nosedive though was a short one, she quickly pulled back up doing a 180 degree turn in the process. Izzy quickly sped after the bludger that was aimed at the Slytherin keeper giving it a quick tap which made it burst with speed.

Izzy flashed another evil grin at June as she watched the bludger speed straight at Raistlin.

[Slytherin Chaser]


Ame saw the beating June and the other beaters were trying to release on her fellow teammates and she decided something needed to be done about it. She tightly grabbed her broom and leaned forward to gain speed. She watched as another bludger was hit straight towards Kitty! Luckily Rocky saw it too and yelled out a warning. Kitty was able to thwart the devilish ball's mission and send it soaring away. Ame slowed up as she approached Kitty and she saw that her broom was barely holding up. That last bludger had cracked it almost straight down the middle in two pieces! Ame high-fived Kitty on her great save and they zoomed off to find the quaffle. Aliza had it and she was half-way across the pitch. No worries. They could catch up to her in no time and the ball would then be thier's.

Flying across the pitch Ame had a sudden idea. She looked over towards Kitty and made a hand signal that to the untrained eye looked like Ame might be having a seizure, but to Kitty and the rest of her team, it was an elaborate coded message signaling their next play. Kinda like they use in Baseball. Kitty nodded. Ame had signaled for the head spinner play. This is where 2 or more chaser come up on an opponent with the quaffle and surround the player encircling him until they get disoriented and then they go in for the strike.

Ame sped up to turbo speed and soon they were approaching Aliza. Kitty was right in line with her about 15 feet to her left. Ame would come up on Aliza's right and Kitty on her left. Soon they were at her side and the fun started. At first they were all just flying along in a line, but then every 10 seconds Ame and Kitty would switch places...Ame going in front of Aliza to Kitty's spot and Kitty going to Ame's spot behind her. Soon it was like a never ending circle of distraction. Ame could tell it was working cause they were all slowing down, and they were no longer going in a straight line. Ame glanced over to Kitty and nodded her head. This signaled that they final step was about to be done. Ame was in motion to take Kitty's spot once more, but this time, she flew straight up to Aliza and reached out her hand to where she was holding the quaffle. With a mighty punch, Ame smashed the quaffle into the air trying to aim as best she could to Kitty. She watched as the pretty red ball flew through the air and Kitty tried her best to catch it. Ame held her breath in hope that she would be successful.
