Weather: It's high noon on the quidditch pitch with a warm day for the fall and no wind in sight. Temperature in the high 80s, clear skies as the sun beats down upon the pitch.

Notes: Welcome to the third match of the Quidditch Cup! Good luck to all players!

[Slytherin Chaser]

Ame threw her hands in the air victoriously as she watched the quaffle land safely in Kitty's arms. They both turned on a dime and headed back towards the Gryffindor goals. In no time they were coming up on them and Ame kept an eye on Kitty's back as she knew there were bound to be bludgers thrown to stop their mission. Ame was happy when Kitty made it safely to the golden hoops and managed to score for Slytherin. She sat up on her broom and clapped and whistled for her friend. As Kitty flew to her she high-fived her and they both headed back to the middle of the pitch for the ball to be thrown back in the game.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June raised her eyebrows as she watched Ame and Kitty switching places as they flew around and around Aliza. Huh… what were they doing? She watched placidly for a few more moments… but suddenly, it hit her like a ton of bricks. They were trying to distract Aliza! June looked around herself wildly, searching for a bludger, any bludger. When she needed one the most, the bludgers had deserted her!! June groaned and closed her eyes as the two Slytherins neared the Gryffindor goals. She didn’t want to look… When the bell dinged, June let out the breath she’d been holding.

Her dark brown eyes narrowed and a dangerous glint appeared, as she tracked Ame and Kitty. Balancing her bat on her broom, June reached up with both hands and swiftly tightened her ponytail. She grabbed her bat once more and shot upwards, flying higher and higher until the players below looked like Christmas ornaments. From this height, June had the whole Pitch in view, and… there!!!! Black Christmas ornaments!!! June smiled coldly. Bludgers. And for once, they were actually flying in a pair! June dived down towards them and followed their path, turning when they did, diving when they did… until they were perfectly aligned with her targets. She brought her bat up and first hit one, then the other.

Using Gryffie Illusion, June added a tiny spin to each ball, so small that it was barely noticeable… but of course, that was the whole point of it being an illusion. The bludgers would look as if they were just hit around randomly… but instead, they’d turn at the last moment and catch their targets by surprise. June smirked as the bludgers, specially treated, flew away from Kitty and Ame… But not for long. Soon, they’d turn around and go after the Slytherin Chasers.

(Gryffindor Chaser)

Becca banged her fists down against the air. "Shoot!" she muttered fiercly under her breath. Now they were really going to have to kick it into gear. She sighed and fingered a strand of hair for a moment, thinking hard. What could they do...She tried to think back to all the plays that she had reviewed. Of course, Becca knew that some of the best plays were made up on the spot, but still, going off of one that was already made would be a good base...

Becca readied herself as the quaffle came back into play. She leaned forward on her broom and sped forward, reaching her hands up at the very last second and catching it with her finger tips. She took a quick outward sigh of relief before swirving around and looking straight at the co-captain. Suddenly, a light clicked in Becca's head. WOOT!, she thought enthusasticlly. it was perfect! Becca smiled at June and then gave her a significant look. June would know what to do.

Becca sped a little bit closer to June, chucked the red ball as hard as she could toward her teammate's beater bat, and then kept on flying as fast as she could. She shut her eyes and prayed that it would work as she dropped a good few feet, so that she was not in the way of the speeding demon that was sure to come soon. Hopefully. Becca opened one eye and blew her brown haired bangs out of the seeing range so that she could get a rough vision of the quaffle. "Oh please oh please work" she thought to herself.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

She got the look. Oh yes… she got the look… and she understood it. As June surreptitiously winked at her Becca, she readied her bat and changed course, so she was following her friend towards the Slytherin goals. At that moment, a bludger flew right towards her! Muahahaha! Yes!!! June kept it in line with herself, using her bat. The wind blew gently, the sun was lightly covered by the clouds, and the quaffle was in Gryffindor hands. Everything seemed perfect… except for one thing. June grinned as it came time for her to play her part in this state of utopia. She flew a tad lower, shadowing Becca, as her friend neared Raistlin.

“Let’s do this!” June said to the Chaser. She grinned as everything went according to plan. Becca threw the quaffle towards June’s raised bat, and June, with a swift WHACK!, sent her bludger towards the Quaffle. The black ball sent the red ball spiraling towards Raistlin, the Slytherin Keeper. The topspin added to the quaffle by the bludger made it fly even faster… June waited with bated breath, hoping that they’d score. And... June squealed with happiness and high-fived Becca. The quaffle had gone in!!!!!!!!

(Gryffindor Chaser)

"YES YES YES!" Becca squealed happily, high fiving June happily. She let a breath out that she had been holding since she had been praying for the quaffle to go in. She would've probably turned blue if she had not yelled yes out of her happiness. Thank God for beater bats! she thought to herself with a chuckle.

Becca finally regained her composure, knowing that she'd have to be able to concentrate as the quaffle came back into play. "Let's go gryffindor!" She cheered, punching the air for one last show of her enthusasim toward the goal they'd just scored. She turned her attention back to the game, her eyes narrowing as her competitive streak took over once again. Let's get this show on the road, she thought to herself.

[Slytherin Chaser]

Ame narrowed her eyes towards the gryffindor girls' goal. That was a pretty good move, but they would be sorry. Ame and her team were already back at the middle of the pitch as the quaffle was being released. Ame waited for nothing and flew like a bullet and grabbed her dear ball. She was well on her way to the gryffindor goals when she raised a hand and gave another complex undechiperable signal. Waiting for her team to get in place Ame continued on to the goals, well ahead of anyone else. If the play failed, she would still have a great shot at scoring. She just perfered for it to be a group effort and not dominate things.

(Gryffindor Keeper)

Amber looked around and cheered when she realized that they had scored a goal, she'd been zoning out a bit and wondered exactly what else had happened since she last paid attention. She knew she'd probably get yelled at for letting goals through while she day dreamed but oh well. It could have been worse. She began to circle the hoops once more, keeping her eyes on the quaffle watching to see where it would go next.

Seeing Ame grab the quaffle she kept her eyes on her, watching as she approched the hoops she was guarding. She waited to see which way she'd go, so that she could try and block the goal... and be able to say that she had actually blocked the goal... for once.

[Slytherin Chaser]

Ame watched as Amber seemed to startle awake. It looked as though she was zoming out. Ame smiled to herself at this thought. Amber was normally her friend, but right now all she saw was opponents. After the game they would laugh and carry on. Now, Ame had a goal to score. It looked as though the rest of her team hadn't gotten her play signal, so Ame would have to improvise. Tucking the ball close, she flew straight ahead to where Amby loomed.

(Slytherin beater!)

Jess looked at the chatoic game. She clucked her tongue at all the chaos and smiled soaring towards the bludger that had just ricoshaed off the quaffle... bouncing the bludger on her bat, she hit it once with alarming power towards miss June.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June glared at Jess as her friend aimed the bludger at her. "Not gonna happen!" June called to the Slytherin and she reached her bat out to the side. She flew upwards for some elevation and exhaled as she slammed her faithful bat into the bludger...straight towards Ame. She winced as the leftover energy from the powerfully-hit bludger jarred her arm. June watched the bludger's downward movement, wondering if the Chaser would dodge... or drop the beloved quaffle.

[Slytherin Chaser]

Ame heard the thwack of a bat and spun to see Jess hit a bludger straight towards June. A sly grin crossed Ame's ruby lips as she treked onwards. She heard another thwack and a faint whislting noise. Ame turned just in time to see the bludger coming straight towards her. She immediately raised the end of her broom and easily acceded out of harms way. She was dangeroulsy close to the goals and knew she had to act soon.

(Gryffindor Keeper)

Amber kept her eyes on Ame, watching her closely to be able to pinpoint the exact moment the quaffle left her hands. She swayed slightly to one side as she approched, hoping that she wasn't being faked out. In the corner of her eye she noticed the bludger coming toward Ame. She wondered for a moment who sent it, probably June, but decided that wasn't important. Right now her priority was to make sure that Ame didn't score.

(Gryffindor Chaser)

Becca looked around and noticed that Ame had gotten the quaffle as it came back into play. She swore lightly under her breath and watched as the bludger went towards June. Then, she saw June knock it toward Ame. Becca knew what she needed to do! She flew as fast as she could under Ame, hovering below her just in case she dropped the quaffle. Becca kept her hands on her broom, gripping so tightly her knuckles were white. All she could do was hope that Ame would have to drop the red ball in order to save herself from injury.

Becca sighed after she saw the other player easily avoid injury. Oh well...they'd just have to prevent the goal some other way...

[Slytehrin Chaser]

Ame watched Amby follow her every move, she knew this would be a hard goal to make. She didn't let up on her speed as she approched. She was about to head on crash with Amber, when she pulled her broom to the left and tossed the red ball to the awaiting hoop.

(Gryffindor Keeper)

Amber watched as Ame approched, until the point where she was about to hit her. She didn't back off though, after all she'd gotten injured in quidditch before. She watched as Ame pulled her broom to the left, she moved to the left too as the quaffle headed for the hoop. She ball hit her fingers almost painfully, bending them back slightly. Though the ball didn't go into the hoop much to her joy and surprise, she watched it as it fell doward toward the ground. She felt proud of herself.

"I saved something! I actually saved something!" she said to herself.

(Gryffindor Chaser)

Becca half fell off her broom with joy. "WOOO! GO AMBY!" she screamed out happily. She regained her balance (as best as she possibly could- for she was extremely clumsy,) and got ready as the quaffle came back into play.

Becca sped up and reached out for the read ball, grabbing on to it firmly and pulling it toward her. Tucking it under her arm, she thought quickly. What now? Oh well, she would just fly toward the posts and get ready to shoot. She'd just have to let the play work itself out- there was no time to think a plan out so fully now!

Becca took off toward the slytherin goal posts, bringing the red ball out only slightly so she could shoot when ready. This was seriously going to take some good luck. Too bad she hadn't found that pot of gold when she was looking the other day...

Gryffindor Chaser

Katie awoke from a long long long daydream involving pink ponies and rainbows and cursed herself as she attempted to regain focus in the game. She cheered for Amber when that spectacular save was made, and was now flying around Becca to hopefully distract the other team.

(Gryffindor Beater Alternate)

Izzy was estatic that the goal had been saved. Unfortunately, this made her completely forget again about controlling her broom. She only noticed the chaotic mess she was in when her broom dropped at a sudden 90 degree angle. Izzy was clinging to her broom for dear life when she saw a flash of black right under her feet.

Izzy's mind cleared instantly at the sight of the bludger and she did a tight loop to bring her racing to the Slytherin side of the field and straight toward the Slytherin seeker. Izzy caught up to the bludger and slammed the bludger straight at the Slytherin seeker. As she watched the bludger go whizzing toward him she wondered what part of his body he would use next to keep himself from harm.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

As Izzy whacked a bludger at Rocky, June flew towards Becca and Katie, circling them to protect them from any bludgers. As she shadowed her friends, June smiled as Izzy’s bludger got closer and closer to Rocky… how would he avoid it this time? She scanned the skies, looking for any incoming bludgers that might hit one of the Gryffindor Chasers. Above Becca and Katie, June began doing figure-eights . This way, she would constantly be able to see many areas of the pitch all at the same time.

Slytherin Chaser

:Kitty saw that Becca now had the quaffle and she hurried after her, giving Ame the signal for their next move. She wasn't sure if things would go as planned but she thought why not give it a shot. Kitty swooped down and ended up beside Becca. She reached over and made a grab for the quaffle but missed. She signaled to Ame again, wondering if she knew what move to execute:

(Slytherin Seeker)

Looping lazily over the rest of the players, Rocky watches the action in progress. Suddenly noticing a Bludger screaming towards his head, he turns tail, flying high to keep the blasted thing away from him as he begins to formulate a plan. Grinning at the sheer insanity of his idea, he loops in a wide arc, dropping into a barrel roll nose dive. Yanking hastily on his broomstick, he pulls out of the dive and streaks directly at the Gryffindor Chasers. Smirking as he prays the stunt will work, he sinks ever so slightly, his broom just inches below the Chasers. Looking back, he checks to make sure the Bludger is still chasing him, as it is wont to do. Noticing the black orb closing in, he shifts his weight forward, eyeing the distance as he accelerates.

Mere moments before impact with the Chasers, he slips off his broom, clinging on with just his right hand. Sliding just below them, he loops his body back up and on to his broom once more.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June’s eyes widened as she watched Kitty trying to get the quaffle. So far the Slytherin had missed, but June wasn’t sure if that would last for long. A streak of green suddenly distracted the Gryffindor Beater. What Rocky was in the process of doing? Was he insane?! Was he honestly planning on colliding with Becca and Katie?! She glanced up and noticed the bludger still on his tail. Wait… if he flew away at the last moment, then… wouldn’t the bludger… NO!!!!! June thanked God that she was as close to her friends as she was. It only took her a fraction of a second to dive down next to Katie, ready to intercept the bludger.

June raised her bat, planning on hitting the bludger away randomly… when she got an idea. June grinned wickedly as she remembered Kitty, flying next to Becca. When the bludger reached June, the Gryffindor hit it with her bat, directing it towards Kitty. June was only a short distance away from her, and the bludger sped quickly, rapidly closing the gap between the Gryffindor and the Slytherin.

(Gryffindor Beater Alternate)

Izzy watched June intercept Rocky's wacky plan and breathed a sigh of relief. All of a sudden she got an idea. Quickly, she sped off in the direction of June, Rocky, and Katie. She was twisting her bat aimlessly in hand searching for another bludger. Quickly, she spotted a bludger.

After a few seconds of swift flying she caught up to the bludger and hit it right towards Rocky, just in case he tried to help Kitty.

(Gryffindor Chaser)

Becca tried not to panic as Kitty came up beside her. "Oh great oh great oh great" she thought to herself urgently, trying to think quickly. And then she Rocky coming straight at them! Becca let out a quiet screech and then sucked in her breath, ready for the impact when suddenly Rocky was down below them. Becca let out the breath, letting herself breathe agian, but not easily.

There was still Kitty on her side. Becca thought urgently...what to do? What to do?!? Just then she noticed June hitting the bludger toward the slytherin. YES! Becca felt like shouting "I LOVE YOU JUNE!" but knew now was not the time, so she silently thanked her friend.

Becca flew foward and then up slightly, seeing as Katie was right below her, she took a chance and dropped the quaffle down to her friend. "Catch, Katie!" she called to the girl.

Gryffindor Chaser

Aliza had been paying close attention to the game - cheering and booing along with her team. When Gryffindor gained possession of the quaffle she headed over to her fellow chasers and signalled to them to show that she was there.

(Slytherin Seeker)

Swooping up into the air, Rocky corkscrews higher to get a better view of the field. Shifting into a spiral pattern, he keeps his eyes moving constantly.

Sensing more than seeing the Bludger shooting directly at him, he banks to the left, taking a wide, sweeping turn at high speed. Looking around, he spies his target, and increases speed. Man, I hope this works with a busted hand. Grinning at the adrenaline rush this game's giving him, he aims directly at Izzy.

"Looks like you lost something!"

As he yells out these words, Rocky sees a golden blur streaking behind Izzy, shooting for the ground. Getting within feet of Izzy, he rotates his broom 180 degrees, yanking on the broomstick to execute a dive while upside down. Speeding up, he uses gravity to accelerate even faster, gaining him precious distance to the ever-elusive Snitch. Pulling up on the trail of the Snitch, he starts bobbing and weaving through the field.

Hoping the other Bludger is still occupied, he focuses his attention on the one thing he's out here to accomplish. Looping up as the Snitch begins to climb, he drops his chest onto his broomstick, praying that the reduction in air friction will be just enough to allow him to grab the Snitch. Shaking his broken left hand, he allows his sleeve to dangle from his arm, knowing he needs his right hand to steer his broom.

Closing within inches of the Snitch, he sweeps his left arm out at the Snitch as it begins to change directions, capturing the Snitch. Righting himself quickly, he reaches up and pulls the Snitch out of his sleeve with his good right hand, to hold it up for all the world to see.

Gryffindor Chaser

Katie skreiked as she saw Kitty and then a bludger heading toward her. Thank God for June, Katie thought to herself. She looked up and saw Cris wink at her. She knew what was coming and stretched out her arms to catch the ball as her teammate dropped it. She was about to shoot for the Slyhterin Hoops when....

Katie heard a triumphant whoop coming from the Slytherin Seeker. She let our a groan and turned around to see the opposing Seeker holding the snitch in the air. It didn't matter. Disppointed, Katie headed back to the ground.

(Gryffindor Chaser)

Becca was pumped, ready to scream in victory if Katie made the shot that she was about to take...and then, NO! Her head spun around as she heard Rocky make a noise. He'd gotten the snitch. Becca's face fell and she sighed. She punched the air angerly and started off toward the ground.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

She kept flying above her friends, guarding them from harm. June turned her head, to shout towards Izzy, when she noticed a streak of gold flying past her. Oh no… that COULD NOT be what she thought it was!!! June turned her head in the opposite direction, and saw Cris… who was not near the snitch! Suddenly, June remember Rocky. Perhaps he had seen the snitch as well. Since he was a Seeker, June was pretty sure he HAD seen it. June searched for the Slytherin, but couldn’t discern him from the rest of the green blurs flying through the air… until one of them raced after the Snitch.

She needed a bludger… any bludger… JUST A RANDOM BLUDGER PLEASE GOD!!!! But apparently, God wasn’t smiling on her at the moment… there was no bludger in sight. June was torn between racing after him herself and perhaps stalling him, or staying with the Chasers in case Jess hit a bludger at them or Ame or Kitty tried to steal the quaffle again. She remained undecided for too long. The next thing she knew, Rocky was holding the Snitch aloft and Katie had begun drifting towards the ground. June groaned and sighing, began drifting downwards as well. She motioned for the rest of her team members to gather around her.

“That was a great game!” June said, pasting a smile on her face. “So what if we didn’t get the Snitch, we still played really well, worked in a few plays, and had a full team in the air!” As June tried to raise her team’s morale, she began realizing how true her own words were. Gradually, the forced smile on her lips began changing… until it was a real one. “So everyone, even if Slytherin got the Snitch, WE STILL ROCK!!!” June grinned. Honestly, so what if the snitch had fallen into enemy hands? The Gryffindors had played spectacularly today, and June couldn’t even imagine being prouder and happier to be a part of the Gryffindor Quidditch Team, then she was right now.

(Slytherin Seeker)

Rocky slowly descended the Snitch held firmly in his good hand. He was elated. My first Quidditch game, and I've actually caught the Snitch! It really didn't matter who won, he enjoyed playing for the rush. Quite addictive, actually. Hovering a couple of feet above the ground, he leaps off the broom, grin stretching from ear to ear.

Whooping with joy, he leaps into the air, backflipping in pure excitement.

This game has now ended. Judges please send Elfie Dumbledore your scores as soon as possible.

The next game should start on Saturday September 29th, 2007
