Willow walked into the Common Room, dropped her bag on the floor, sunk into a green armchair and began to write her Potions essay.

Shadow came in and went directly to a shadowy corner to meditate. She crossed her legs in a lotus position and hovered a few feet off the ground.

As usual, Shadow had one eye slightly open so that she could watch for danger. Willow had been watching her, but turned back to her homework.

Chrystenna walked slowly into the common room. It had been a long day, and all she wanted to do now was relax. But stupid Potter had gotten their whole potions class assigned extra homework. Dumb snape. She didnt need extra work. And slytherins were supposed too be his favorite house. Ah well.... she better get started....

Shadow watched a new girl enter the common room. She seemed to be deep in thought about something. Shadow refused to read her mind to find out what.

Chrystenna was sitting down, trying to concentrate on her homework, but it wasnt working. Parts of the conversation she had just had with the Dark Lord were breaking into her thoughts constantly.

Chrystenna realized a little too late someone was reading hermind. She didnt care though. She needed someone to know, someone to help.

Shadow raised an eyebrow. So this girl wanted help? Then Shadow was willing to, but she had vowed not to get involved in other people's business unless they told her.

Willow sat quietly watching the others. Although not saying anything they appeared to be focus on each other, almost in conversation.

Shadow noticed Willow looking on with some interest and broke the link with Crystenna. She narrowed her eyes at Willow before returning to her meditation.

Shadow bowed her head. As much as she hated turning people away, she had no choice. They would turn her away as soon as they found out.

Shadow shrugged. She wanted to talk, but was in no hurry.

Dorothy walked in. She was about to make her way towards Willow and Shadow when she sensed that they were in the middle of something important.
So instead Dorothy sat dow at an armchair near the roaring fire and pulled out her potions homework.
But every so often she could not help but glance at the pair in the corner.
She would have liked to have met Willow, she seemed nice, but they were busy. She could tell that much from their aura.
It was a gift Dorothy had: to see a persons aura.
It was like seeing someones soul. It was above their heads, Willows flashing and sparkling with curiosity, but dimming out sometimes showing that she was slightly shy and not wanting to offend. It was a sky blue.
However, Shadow's was a deep, rich purple, swirling like a whirlwhind to show that Shadow's mind was in turmoil.
Dorothy looked in the mirror. Hers was like a great fireball above her head, but with every colour under the sky. Rich reds, deep blues, emerald greens...
With a little shake of the head, Dorothy turned back to her homework.

Shadow's head shot up, sensing someone's interest. She glanced around and spotted Dorothy immersed in her potions homework. Shadow relaxed a slight bit, although still very tense.

Emmalynn yawned as she entered her common room. She went straight upstairs, to her dorm, but found the door locked.... again. Oh well... she thought, I'll just do my potions essay in the common room. She walked back down the stairs and made herself comfortable in her favorite leather armchair right in front of the fire. Pulling out her potions essay, she thought about how she would continue to write it, but found her mind blank of information on her favorite subject. Instead, she looked around the room and, seeing no one she knew well enough to talk to, decided to take a nap.

Emmalynn had been sleeping lightly, but still remaining alert. In the Slytherin common room, one had to be careful... She heard Jamoki's greeting, and said, "Hello, Jamoki. How are you?"

Catheryne quietly walked out of the dormitory, noticing the slightly large group of people standing around. She felt as if she had interupted something by the look on one girl's face, but she had been cold so she quickly started for a chair near the fire with a book of unique potions in hand.
