"I don't tend to let people help with those potions, seeing as they're from my dimension, and the fact that you wouldn't be able to read the instructions."

"I know what you are talking about.I just guessing but its about Draco. Im not being betrith to him for nothing."Violet siad with her head down. She was writting her letter to Severus. She wanted to kow if he had a potion for sickness because she couldnt do it,not while she was sick.

Dorothy settled back into her armchair. She was thinking about her parents, and about her dream. The same one, over and over... She thought.

Dorothy sniffed. It smelt like acid pops. She put the cork back and put it away. "Thanks. I'll use it when I go to bed tonight."

Elladora was quite bored now and extremely irritated by the silence.

"Y'know," she said to no one in particular, "I kind of enjoyed my run-in with Shadow, 'specially compared to this dull nonsense." She walked up and down the staircase to the girls' dormitories, half-wishing that it would turn into a slide under her weight.

Violet came back, and looked up only to see the mudblood. Violet sat down before she said something out of order and started fixing her a potion to get rid of the flu.

(i wish there was just thing.the flu is awful)

Ziggy was sitting on the armchair sleepily. Watching the others move about. She smiled, vaugly remembering the quidditch practice she had been to.

Emmalynn watched as Elladora paced up and down the dorm stairs. "Ella, there's a button at the top of the stairs, right next to the first door on the right. Stand on the stairs and press it..." she told her friend.

Shadow flicked through one of her potions books and topped at one page, frowning slightly. She got her potions kit out again, making a start on the long, complicated potion.

Emmalynn watched as Shadow made another potion, but this time she had a rare potions book to keep her busy. She immersed herself behind the book and deciced that Shadow could ask her for help if she needed or wanted it.

Shadow sensed that her potion wasn't going right and quickly cast a shield around the cauldron as the potion exploded.
"Ok..." Shadow muttered to herself. "That wasn't supposed to happen..."

Emmalynn looked up when the potion Shadow was making exploded. "Want some help?" she asked.

Emmalynn got up and cleaned out Shadow's cauldron. She grabbed the book Shadow was getting her instructions from and asked, "What does this potion do?"

"It's a peace draught," Shadow said.

"Okay then," she said, pulling ingredients toward her. "Peace druaghts can be extremely tedious, so I devised a new method of making one, with the help of Severus of course." She started adding ingredients until she came to a stirring instruction. "Here it says stir clockwise 80 times and counter-clockwise 60 times, see? Well, that takes a long time, so I changed it to alternate counter-clockwise and clockwise, in that order, for 38 seconds." She did this as she was talking, and the potion turned the ice blue it was supposed to be at that stage.

Emmalynn continued to add ingredients to the potion and stopped again to explain something. "Okay, now the original directions say to add five frog legs, but through my own experimentin, I discovered that you only need two. You just have to flatten them with your knife, so they... dry out. The juices in the legs make you need to add more, but since the price for them is going up, I did this." She continued with the potion.

Emmalynn reached the last step of the potion. "Last thing, here where it says to sir clockwise 8 times every 24 minutes for two hours? Change it to stir counter-clockwise 12 times every 2 minutes, for six minutes. So you have to stir it for six minutes, then at the end, do one clockwise stir and you're done!" she said, happily, her face wearing a serene expression because she was doing what she loved to do.

Dorothy had been watching this procedure as Violet dealt. "You like potions, huh?" Dorothy called across the room.

Emmalynn looked up at Dorothy.

"Yeah, when I was little, my Godfather would let me help him with potions, and ever since then, I've just loved the subject. It's like a science and an exact art," Emmalynn said dreamily.

"Severus has been teaching me since I was about five. He took me to live with him sometimes when my dad would beat me... At first, I found potions boring, but after a while, I started to love it. I was just attracted to it for some reason, I guess," Emmalynn said, remembering the first potion she ever did on her own.

Violet huffed."Ok.My mom and step-dad had got into a figt and my mom thought it was over.Before she knew she was pregant with Harry,she went to the dark side.And my father,loving her beauty,decided he wanted her.So she went over to the dark side.they well you know and then she just,stop going to meetings when they told him she was a mudblood."Violet said.

Emmalynn watched her leave, thinking to herself that she did not believe a word of it. It sounded more like something Petunia would do... These thoughts were kept firmly behind an unbreakable wall of Occlumecy, for no one else to access.
