Emmalynn watched her leave, picking up her bookbag from the floor and taking out a fictional book. Part of a series that she had taken a great liking to.

Elladora had watched the recent going-ons until she she became quite bored with it, then preceded to finding the buttom to make the stairs collapse. She ran back down to the common room, grabbed a pillow, and went back up.

Elladora stood on the top stair, with the pillow at her knees, and preshed the button. In an instant, the stairs fell into a slide and Elladora went down on her knees, the pillow shielding her from the possible burn.

"Okay," Elladora stated, "you could charge people for that awesome ride. Is there a button on every story?"

Emmalynn looked up at Elladora with a evil smirk on her face. She grabbed a pillow and said, "Better! Follow me."

Emmalynn raced up every flight of stairs until she reached the first years' landing (first years were at the top because they are lowest in the hierarchy and forced to climb all the way...).

Elladora grabbed onto her pillow and chased after Emmalynn.

Elladora reached the top and stood next to Emmalynn. "Ready when you are."

"Stand on the top step and try not to scream," Emmalynn said, stepping onto the instructed step and waiting for Elladora to do the same.

Elladora follwed suit and got ready to put her pillow underneath her.

Emmalynn smirked. "There are two buttons here, all you have to do is push the black one, and," Emmalynn stopped mid-sentance and pushed the button. The stairs below her feet turned into a slide, along with every flight below. The landing on each of the six floors below them curved to add speed and at the very end, a jump had formed, sending the girls in the air, only to land on the perfectly placed couch.

"Let's do that again!!" Elladora said, very excited now. "It was like mini-Gringotts." She brushed through her hair roughly with her hands. "Anyone else up for it?"

"C'mon, Shadow," Elladora encouraged, "but you have to do it the Muggle way." Elladora genly tossed a pillow at her.

"What is the muggle way?" She asked, confused.

"No magic," Elladora said. "Though I suppose the stairs turning into a slide is magic, but we can let that one go." Elladora began climbing the stairs, gesturing for Shadow to follow.

Shadow nodded and followed Elladora to the top of the stairs.

Once Elladora reached the top, she waiter for Shadow to get up, readying her hand on the buttom Emmalynn had used.

Emmalynn smiled and picked up her book, she was very happy that after all her hard work, people were enjoying the slide. She had tampered just a little and conbined all the flights of stairs. Before shehad done anything, you had to push every button at every landing, taking away the thrill.

Shadow quickly reached the top, watching Elladora carefully.

"Okay," Elladora said, "Get ready to land with the pillow under your knees." Elladora stepped off the flight of stairs, and pressed the button, collapsing the stairs under Shadow's weight.

Elladora handed to book back to Emmalynn without much fuss.

"You know Maly, we make sure our things can't get stolen... though I'm usually pretty good at snatching things."

Elladora looked around. "I'm going down the stairs again," she declared.

Elladora grabbed a pillow and made her way to the top of the stairs, she pressed the button and took a whirl down the slide, spinning as the went, and landed in the floor of the common room on well-place sofa.

Dorothy went up all seven stairs and put the pillow underneath her. "I'll push the button myself." Dorothy stretched and pushed the button. The stairs collapsed into a slide and she went whizzing down, landing on the sofa. "Lucky I didn't hit either of you!" Dorothy said, panting from exilaration.

Shadow had panicked slightly as she went down, morphing into a wolf.

Elladora smiled at Wolf-Shadow and looked to Dorothy who having another go at the slide. She moved onto the floor to lessen her chances of getting hit.

Shadow finished the ride but, unfortunately, missed the couch, landing in a rather ungraceful heap on the ground.
