Yule Ball

In the time-honoured tradition of Hogwarts, we present to you our Yule Ball.

The Great Hall is a resplendant palace of ice, with iridescent lights and sparkling snowflakes all around.

If you participate in the Yule Ball, you can earn housepoints for the following categories, with a maximum of 60 points per person available:
· Outfit: description, picture, doll
· Music Suggestions
· Participation
· RPG style and creativity

Rista walked into the great hall. She had a floor length dress that was blue and green, with the effect that it looked like water. She had her long, raven hair done up in an elaborate style with a comb that had sapphires and diamonds on it and was carrying a handbag that matched her dress.

She walked over to a table and took a glass of punch. Sipping it, she made her way over to some chairs and sat down, watching the crowd.

"Oh, thank you Stephy. I made it myself. Found the fabric in Hogsmeade on sale. You just can't find fabric like this in the muggle world. You look very nice, too, by the way," Rista said. "Oh, Zelda's here too." She waved at Zelda.

Guess what, guess what, guess what!~goosed

"Yeah. My mom taught me. I couldn't bring my sewing machine, because of all the magic in the building. It would have not worked. Someone let me borrow their's, though," Rista said. "I would love to join you guys." Rista drained the remainder of her punch in one drink."

Zelda saw Rista come in and Zelda waved at her... She then came over and Zelda said.. " you look very nice Rista... Where in heavens did you get such a dress?"

Rose clucked her tongue to the roof of her mouth. Bordome was beginning to take over. She glanced around the room for something to do.

Shadow walked into the Great Hall, her black dress swishing behind her. She had gone for the usual formal dress that her people favored. It was medieval-like, with long sleeves edged with silver. She felt very exposed due to the fact that she had left her cloak in the dorm, also, Shadow was very conscious of the fact that her hair was purple with two white streaks at the front. She sighed, and headed for an unoccupied table. Shadow wouldn't even have been here if her guardian hadn't told her to!

Zelda followed Stephy and then she heard a fast pase song come on... She saw Rose being Bord and she said... " come on dance.."

Shadow looked up.
"Hello."

"You know, dancing does sound nice," Rista said to Zelda. "I like this song." Rista then proceeded to the group of others who had already begun dancing.

Shadow picked up a drink and sipped it slowly.

Zelda saw a girl named Shadows and she said.. " Come on dance... " ... " So you like this song Rista... its got a great beat!" Zelda said.

"I don't dance."

" Oh ok... well if you want to you can join us." Zelda said as she danced on.

"I'll think about it."
"Go on!"
"Happy, stay out of this, but I think I'll listen to you for once in my LIFE." Shadow stood up and made her way onto the dance floor where the rest of the girls were dancing.

Zelda smiled at Shadows and danced along.

Shadow smiled back and let Happy take over what she was doing. She danced along with the others.

" Are you having fun?" Zelda asked.

"Yes." Said Shadow, smiling.

" Lets do a circle dance." Zelda said to everyone...

"A what?"

"A circle dance?" Rista asked. "What is that exactly?"

" Everyone joins hands and we dance with our feet... Its a lot of fun.. Its used in pokas.." Zelda said.

"Oh. Okay. That should have been obvious."

" Its Okay." Zelda said with a smile.

"I think that would be cool," Rista said excited.

" Okay.... are you all ready?" Zelda asked as she was ready.

"I'm set," Rista replied.

" Lets begin..." Zelda said as she joined handed ans started to dance... This is fun.

Rista was finding herself having one of the most enjoyable evenings of her life. "I'm so glad I came," she said.

" That is good." Zelda said.

Rose giggles as her and the others girls danced around in a circle. This Yule Ball wasn't so bad. And Trevor had gone to hang with his guy friends, so everything was cool.
"By the way, Shadow, love the dress."

"Thanks," Shadow replied.

Rose smiled at her. "Have you met Skie? She is my soul sister. At least, we get along well and have the same, gothic style."

"I haven't met many people, but I have seen a lot."

"Well, the Yule Ball doesn't come around to often." Rose broke free of the circle. "I'm thirsty. Wanna go get a drink?"

"Ok,"

Rose grabbed Shadow's wrist gently and headed over to the drink stand. Rubbing her chin, Rose said, "Hm, I think I'll have some Firewhisky..."

Shadow quickly pulled her wrist out of Rose's grasp.
"Sorry, uh, I think I'll get a butterbeer." Shadow looked down at the ground.

Rose tilted her head. "Is everything alright?"

"Yes, I'm fine." Shadow forced a smile.

Rose nodded but for some reason she didn't believe her. "well, um..." Rose pushed the hair out of her eyes. "What do you want to do? We could go take a stroll."

"If you want."

"Ok." Rose took her glass and she headed outside. The fresh air was nice, and the flowers planted specially for the Yule Ball where letting off the most wonderful scents. Rose stared up at the night sky. The moon was a deep red in color. "Isn't it beautiful? It reminds of this flower." Rose bent over a plucked a small, black rose. "You see how the inside is red as well?"

"It reminds me of my father."
"Yes, I see."
