Yule Ball

Jamie walked in hoping he wasn't the first there, he wanted someone to talk to before his date came

"hey El, how are you these days?" he asked her throwing out his hand to shake hers

Shadow and Raven walked into the Great Hall, wearing the medievil-like formal dress of their dimension. They looked almost identical, apart from their slight differences, their hair done elaborately in small, intertwined plaits. Shadow was smiling slightly, whereas Raven remained impassive.

Jamie turned around from talking to Eliza, and smiled. He thought for a moment

"wow" and then realised he couldn't tell the difference from the two,
he just waited for th one that was his date to come to him..

Shadow stepped forwards, and Raven watched her.
"Don't forget to leave by ten."
"Raven!"
"Just joking." Shadow shook her head.

Violet walked in. Her red Victorain dress flowling below her. Spotting her friends, she walked over to them. "Hello guys." She said.

"hey!" Jamie yelled at her

"doesn't someone scrub up well" he laughed

Shadow smiled slightly.
"Hello Violet."

"ahh, shadow and Raven" he pointed out "took me a while to figure out which one was which"

"It normally does. Only our mother and teachers could truly tell us apart." Shadow and Raven said in unison.

"ohhh! haven't i told you that that freaks me out!" he squeaked

"You told..." Shadow started.
"Us that..."
"Doing this..."
"Freaked you..."
"Out..."
But not..."
"Speaking in..."
"Unison." They said together.

"ohhhhhh! shut up!!!!" he yelled covering his ears, "it takes alot to scare a demon and your doing that now!" he yelled not knowing how loud he was being

Shadow flinched at the noise, cursing her soul self form of a wolf for sensitive hearing.
"Sorry." Raven said, shrugging.

"huh! it's okay just don't do it again.... it's not only Shadow that blows things up!" he warned

"For once, you don't have to worry about that happening." Shadow said, pulling back one sleeve to show the same metal vambraces she had worn to Zelda's funeral.

"that was not pointed at you, I think its quiet ermm..." Jamie blushed "when you do stuff like that" his cheeks going more red at each word

"Scary, odd?" Shadow suggested.
2"Most people are freaked out by the whole twin thing." Raven said, laughing quietly.

"not quite what i ws going to say but... yano" Jamie thought that Shadow was only playing with him I hate it when she plays with my head

"Sorry about that." Shadow said, before she hit herself in the head. "I shouldn't have read you mind! I'm sorry!"

"you tried but you still haven't read it right" jamie laughed

Shadow nodded, thankful.

" okay then, Santas coming tonight so its time we all went to bed..... how about we all open our presents in the great hall?"

( I wanna open some pressies, i miss christmas!)

Violet walked off. "They love each other."She said to herself. looking for someone to stand with, she sipped her butterbeer.

"Its it to ealier for presents?" Violet asked. Violet grabbed hers and shook it. "Sounds like socks." She said and unwrapped it to see a pair of socks. "This is a joke right?"

Suddenly music started to play and the wierd sisters jumped about on the stage

Shadow jumped slightly as the music began to play, having not been expecting it.

Jamie walked on to the dance floor, beckoning for the others to join him,

"come on guys!" he yelled over the loud music....

(long lunch?)

Shadow smiled and joined Jamie on the dance floor.

(I always have 3 and 1/2 hours on fridays.)

(only 3 1/2 hours at school?)

The hall was beginning to fill now because the music had started, even some chapions had made it

(No, I'm in at 8 and back out again at 1/2 11, only to go back at 3... whew...)

Shadow began to dance.

Jamie joined her dancing to the beat of the music, some of the instruments the band was playing Jamie hadn't seen before, that was something as he did study magical music

Jamie waved over to Emmalyn as he danced

Raven joined the dance floor, mirroring Shadow's moves.

Emmalynn waved at Jaime and looked up at Eliza when she came over to the table.

"Yeah, I'm more concerned with the food, than the 'dancing' concept of this ball... Dancing's never been my forte. Too klutzy..." she said, with a grin.

Jamie stopped dancing as Eliza did at the end of the song....

"lets go over to one of the tables so we can get a good view of the wierd sisters as we eat the feast" he yelled to Shadow loudly over the music

Shadow heard, and bowed her head, walking over to one of the tables.

Emmalynn got up and retrieved some punch before meandering her way over to Shadow.

"Hey Shadow, how're you?" she asked.

"Fine, you?" Shadow asked, smiling at Emmalynn.

Jamie walked over and sat down at the table closest to the stage, he knew that his friend Natalie liked the wierd sisters and thought he would save her a seat

Shadow bowed her head to Emmalynn before joining Jamie again.

"So!" Jamie said to Shadow, "anything new?" he asked her

"Not much." Shadow said, keeping her mind firmly shielded from prying people in case Jamie suspected her not really saying the truth. "How about you?"

"eh... spend two hours getting ready... the guys in the dorm were very freaked out by that..." he smiled "but it was all worth it in the end..."
