Hogwarts Years: FIRST YEAR

First topic message reminder :

For any one and everyone no matter the age. This is the first time your characters goes to Hogwarts.

Zelda had just gotten off the train and was on the boat headed towards to grand castle.. "This is magnificent!" Zelda said to the other students on the boat...

Shadow walked into Transfiguration and sat down at the back.

Shadow put her head down on the desk as she waited for the teacher to arrive. She kept one eye on the other girl in the room, as she had been taught that not all people have good intentions.

It wasn't long before Rista and Zelda had arrived at the classroom for transfiguration. Rista headed automatically to a seat in the front of the room. "Want to join me?" She asked Zelda as she sat down to wait for the teacher to arrive.

Shadow watched the other two girls walk into the room and sit down. She was feeling very wary now...

Rista stood up and walked to the back. "You want to come join us?" She said to the Slytherin who seemed a bit timid. "I'm sure Zelda won't mind," she added.

Shadow shook her head, knowing that they would never accept her.

"Well fine, if you wanna be that way," Rista joked.

Shadow lay her head down on her arms again. She didn't know whether Rista was joking or not.

"I'm sorry," Rista said to Shadow. "I was just joking. Ignore me; I have a tendency to say things without thinking. If you want to join us, feel free." She turned to the other girl in the room. "Same to you," she said.

"Hey Rista!" Cassie says as she walks into the room, nodding at the other students and taking a seat next to her.

(I don't think our characters have technically met yet, but I'm assuming I would know you since you'd likely be in Gryffindor)

"Hi there," Rista said, smiling. "It's Cassie, right?"

(Oh! Woopsies! My bad!)

"Yeah." Cassie said turning red. She'd forgotten Rista and her hadn't talked much. "Ummm...so how are you today?"

"I'm doing great. I'm sitting up here at the front of the room if you want to join me. I'm trying to get these two to join me too," Rista said. She really just wanted to make as many friends as she could, but she also didn't want to be too over-bearing.

"Sure, Ill join you!" Cassie said as she sat down. "Are you guys sure you don't want to sit up here?" she asks the other kids. Cassie too wanted to make as many friends but was always too shy to just go up and say hi to someone unless they showed themselves as being friendly too.
"I wonder what we'll be learning today." Cassie says.

Rista sat back down in the seat she'd initially chosen. She began to wonder when the teacher would show up. While she was waiting, she doodled absent-mindedly on a spare bit of parchment.

(Does anyone want to be Prof. McGonagall? I would, but I'm still not very comfortable with RPing; I'm not sure if I could manage two characters at once.)

Cassie flipped through her Transfiguartion Notebook abesntmindley while waiting for Professor McGonagall to show up. She'd heard she's never late so she was wondering what could have been big enough to delay her.

(I would, but I'm really bad at RP and think I would be horrible at two at once!)

(I'll go ahead and give it a shot, if Cass doesn't mind).

Professor McGonagall walked into the room. Her lips were drawn in a thin line. "Good morning, I am Professor McGonagall," she said curtly. "Transfiguration is a vastly complicated subject. However, I trust that each of you will come out of here with sufficient knowlege in the field. Who can tell me what transfiguration is?"

Rista's hand began to shake. This teacher seemed nearly as strict as her previous one. She hoped she would be able to maintain focus. Professor McGonagall didn't seem like someone she wanted to cross.

(I won't be able to do her long. I won't be online for the next two days, but I'll do it for now)

Rista decided that someone would have to answer the question. Fortunately she had skimmed her book a little last night. She put up her hand.

"Yes, Miss Sintala?" Professor McGonagall prompted.


"Transfiguration," Rista began, "is the magical principle behind changing one object, either living or not, into some other form.

"Good, that is the basic idea. Ten points to Gryffindor. Now, can someone else name an area in life where knowlege in this field would be beneficial?"

Shadow was still at the back of the class, hoping the teacher wouldn't notice her.

Cassie sat there being nervous and shaking. This teacher looked sticter than everyone had told her. She hoped she wouldn't get called on and would be allowed to sit there throughout the class unnoticed. Cassie thought Pamela was pretty brave to speak to a teacher who was so strict.

Zelda walked into the room with Rista and waited for the teacher to enter.

Once the teacher entered she looked at the woman. She seamed to be a strict woman.

( I think you might have forgotten the rest of your sentence lol!)

( Thank you! oh and who is playing the teacher?)

(I'll play the teacher if n one else wants to)

(I was but then I had to be gone for a couple days...I can resume)

(You had better do it, I'm not very good...)

( Okay.. How about Shadow.. you can do the next class that comes along.)

(Ok, I don't mind.)

Shadow pulled the hood on her cloak over her hair, hoping to hide her white-streaked purple hair.

( Maybe Shadow can be a substitute teacher for this one when Rista cant be here.)

Zelda opened her book and started to read.

(Ok)
Shadow saw Zelda open her book and start to read. She followed her example.

Zelda waited for the teacher to say something.

"Welcome to Transfiguration, class. I am Professor Mcgonnagle. Please open your books to page 4 and begin to read." Said the teacher.
Shadow opened her book, saw the length of the text and groaned inwardly.

Zelda flipped to page 4 and started to read.

Professor Mcgonnagle looked up.
"Riddle, we are supposed to be reading."

(The other one was to crowded i hope its alright to make a new one!)

Mike stepped off the hogwarts express and looked around him in utter awe.
"wow i never thought i'd get here!" he exclaimed to another student who ignored him and walked off.
Oh. ok he thought to himself a little put off. not everybody can be like that, surely?

Suddenly he heard a loud booming voice flowing over the heads of all the other students announcing that all first years had to go towards the voice. Mike wondered what the castle would look like.

(I think it'll be ok...)

Shadow strode off the train, her cloak billowing out behind her. Turning to the person calling for first years, she sighed. This was going to be a hard year.

( I think this is a great Idea ,but instead of maybe having two topics that are the same we could have one be just the sorting ceremony and getting to hogwarts and the other be everything else such as classes and dorms. )

Zelda looked at Oddie and hoped that she wasn't in to much trouble.

Shadow also looked at Oddie.

Mike slowly turned towards the voice and started walking. I wonder what it'll be like. He wondered.

''Hello. My name is Mike. Whats yours?'' He asked another first year girl (Shadow).

"Shadow Roth." She replied. She wanted to be left alone at that point, but her previous teaching had made her realise that you couldn't wear your emotions on your sleeves. To most people, she appeared to be emotionless.
