Drabble Challenge: Fire

The challenge here is simple: write a drabble using the prompt given. A drabble is a short, self-contained fiction, which should ideally be exactly 100 words long.

Hermione wondered who would have messaged her at five in the morning. Upon going into the kitchen, she saw she forgot to put her candle out. Screaming for Ron, she ran out of the house. Minutes later, Ron had followed.
“Hermione, what happen?” Ron asked, his shirt wet and burned.
“I forgot to put the candle out. Crookshanks must have knocked over.” Hermione cried into Ron’s shirt, making it more wet.
“Mione, it’s ok. Everyone forget every once in while.” Ron said, patting Hermione on the back.
“I love you Ron.” Hermione said.
Ron smiled at her, “I love you to, Hermione.” and kissed her on the lips.

Ginny took a handful of floo powder anxiously. She wasn’t sure how this was going to turn out.

“Just step into the fire dear,” her mother said encouragingly.

“Are you sure this is a good idea?” asked Ron suddenly from behind her.

“Don’t be afraid Ginny dear, just step right into the fire.” Molly said ignoring her youngest son.

Taking her mother’s lead, she too ignored her older brother. With a gulp, Ginny took a deep breath and stepped into the roaring fire.

“Hey, this isn’t so bad!” she said fallowed by a rush of green flame. She had left the Burrow.

The fire dwindled, then suddenly the flames began to dance around madly searching for a gap between the loggs. The wand moved away from below the loggs,and then was moved up over the head of a dark stranger. the muggle was tied to ropes and was unconsious, the poor thing had fainted when it had heard it's verdict of her trail, she had been sentanced to death by burning because she had trespassed on farmers land. The farmer walked in and the laughter died down
'let her be free' he said camly and it was done. The girl was let free and her memory extracted. (97)

The fire in her heart burned so bright like the crackling
flames of his eyes. When she looked at him, her heart missed a beat. She wanted
to hold his hand, to feel his soft touch, to look into his bright eyes and know
that he wanted her too, yet she knew that it would never happen. Not now. The
words had already been set in stone. Harry married Ginny, JK Rowling told her
so, so now all that was left was for Hermione to take second best, leave the
burning fire for the smoldering orange flame of Ron’s hair..

As Ginny headed for the Gryffindor common room, she heard a pierce scream behind her.
“AHHHHHH! Someone help me! I’m on FIRE!” The scream echoed trough the hallway.
Ginny turned her shoulder and saw Hermione brushing away a torch on her robe. She looked around helplessly until she spotted a bucket of ice right next to her. Pulling with all her strength, Ginny poured the ice onto Hermione’s robe.
“Thank you,” Hermione let out a deep breath.
“It’s ok, but how did the torch get on you anyway?” asked Ginny.
“Draco threw it on me when I was on the stairs,” Hermione said.

Fire escaped from the wand in the long hand. Soon the house had erupted into flames. By the time the family ran out, Voldemort was gone.

The man with the untidy hair and vibrant green eyes tried to extinguish the flames, but to no avail. He stood with his wife and baby boy, staring helplessly as the life he’d finally begun to build burnt to the ground. When they turned to walk away, he found himself facing his only enemy. All he could hear were his own screams. “Harry, wake up!” He heard Ginny yell.

Would the nightmares ever stop?

Harry sat in the old armchair in Gryffindor common room, a room in which he had spent many an hour when he was young, staring into the warm flames of the open fire.

All of a sudden, he saw his face. Sirius, his godfather and good friend in the flames shining so brightly. His eyes opened wide as he stooped
forward.

“Sirius?”

Yet there was no one there, only the burning timbers of the hot wood. Harry sighed and walked away from the fire, knowing that he will one day see him again, for death was just another great adventure.

Alastor Moody arrived at the lonely scene, with his ward out, he is there alone in the mountain with the mission of chasing the remaining death eater, and then an encounter... with a dragon running wild.Their eyes met and the battle started. The dragon quickly breathed a long burning line of fire at Moody. Surround by the fire breathed from the Horntail dragon, Moody quickly cast his trusty fire freezing charm. The dragon lunged forward, and before the dragon touch moody, the dragon was hit in the eye with the killing curse. The battle ended as fast as it had started.

“Fire is a beautiful, flickering object and Fiendfyre is an unstoppable, cursed flame that takes the form of certain, fire associated animals. “ Carrow, told the class, “Crabbe, Goyle, stop making paper birds. And there is only a couple of ways to stop Fiendfyre” Draco mouthed to both Crabbe and Goyle “Bet that’s handy, what do you want to do to annoy Prof. Sprout next lesson?” Both Crabbe and Goyle shrugged and laughed as Susan Bones, did the enchantment and set Carrow’s blonde hair on fire. The class burst out and almost cryed with laughter as Carrow stuck her head in a Gryndalow tank.

Mrs. Weasly was just finishing up dinner, so she walked out of the kitchen to get the kids from outside. When she came back in, she couldn't believe what she saw. In the 45 seconds that she had gone outside, her entire stove had been engulfed in flames. She screamed and grabbed her wand out of her apron, shouting Aquamenti! and quickly doused the flames.She cleaned up the mess and was relieved to see that the food and kitchen area was unharmed.Just as she finished setting the food on the table, the kids walked in. She wondered why they were looking at her so oddly...

“Again?!” Father snarls, “Why can’t you just tell us when you’re mad, son?”

I watch the fire sizzle with the cold water that spouts from the wand. “I’m not mad,” I reply

“Of course you’re feeling good after the fact, Draco.” Pansy says.

I watch them smother the last of the fire into darkness. Father is glaring at me and Mother wears a sad expression.

Pansy sits next to me on the couch, “Draco, this needs to stop,”

“It was my room." She glares at me and I sigh. “I won’t do it again.”

Mother smiles sadly, “That’s what you always say.”
