The posts can begin on Saturday 1st March - not before!
and will end on Wednesday 5th March - 5 days of rpg posting!

When you post - please put your position and team (eg. Gryffindor Beater) in brackets before you begin the RPG post - otherwise your post will be void of any points!

Remember to observe the new Quidditch rules: day one is for arriving to the pitch, after which the referee will post and the game can properly begin and chasers can no longer immediately state that they have scored. They must wait for the Keeper to post. See this post for more info.

(Gryffindor Chaser and Co-captain)

"Would one hundred thousand galleons be a big enough allowance?" - "Sure, gran!", Cris answered chuckling. "Just happy you're ok again!". She made some ecstatic arm movements to underline her words and -

The Quaffle. She had lost it, probably while trying to hold Ettie. She snapped her fingers, only waited until Ettie flew away, then dashed away. However, her broom seemed to have taken some damage from her last act of bravery, since it wasn't able to fly in a straight line, instead it was hopping up and down, as if something was pulling it down and it was struggling to rise up again - and it made Cris feel ridiculously similar to someone riding a wild bull.

She slowly steered her broom to the ground - almost stumbled on the occasion - then put it safely onto the grass. "What the -", she wondered, "what could have happened? Maybe some kind of anti-gravity spell got damaged? .... but really, the shock wasn't that strong and it could usually carry two persons without any problems... weird...". While she was thinking all of these, not understanding anything, she was gliding her fingers up and down the broom, checking for any physical signs of deterioration. Her finger stuck on a rough spot just at the tail of the broom and she realised a twig must have been on that spot and broken when she bent back.

She brought her nose close to it and read in a barely visible print - "Do not touch! Gravity spell seal!". She rolled her eyes. Old, solid brooms didn't have that, or at least she didn't know of it. They were what her granny used to call, "robust, from ye good olde times". She snorted in a "Hmph, hightech!" kind of way, then dragged her broom off towards the locker rooms, chucking it into a corner.

Wondering what to play on next, she let her eyes drift through the room and her look fell onto something that looked like a Cleansweep 7. She thought about it for a few seconds, trying to find a different option - after all, you could hardly get anything slower than a Cleansweep 7! - but there didn't seem to be any other option. She sighed, blew the dust off her new replacement broom and strode out again.

The time she had wasted with her minor .. well, major! problem also seemed to have brought quite some change on the field and she rubbed her eyes to make sure it wasn't some kind of nightmare - Rose, the Hufflepuff Chaser-who-had-just-been-a-Seeker had just made an attempt at scoring a goal against Gryffindor! Hoping with all of her heart that Emma would catch the Quaffle, she approached the goalhoops in order to be prepared to receive it afterwards.

(Gryffindor seeker)

Pamela saw out of the corner of her eye that Cris was heading toward the lockers. It looked like she had grabbed one of the spare brooms. As Pamela sped toward the ground, neck and neck with Kaitlyn she called out, "Hey Cris! I have a spare broom in my dorm. It's a Nimbus 2001! If you can summon it, you can borrow it! It may be better."

Unfortunately, allowing herself to get distracted from the dive left her behind a bit. She accelerated so she could catch back up again.

( Hufflepuff Seeker)

Kaitlyn looked at Pamela's speed.." Okay.. I know how she plays now." Kaitlyn thought as she pulled out her of dive and speed back up in the air to look for the Snitch again than she saw it.. It was right above the left Gryffindor goal hoop.. Kaitlyn smiled and pushed her broom forward as fast as she could... " Come on white lightning." Kaitlyn said as she soared towards the left goal hoop.

(Gryffindor seeker)

It was a feint. Cursing the Firebolt's speed, Pamela tried to pull up in time. It was no use. At full speed, she hit the ground. She felt all the wind knocked out of her, and her right shoulder was screaming at her. Once some air came back to her lungs, Pamela looked at her broom and a long stream of very unlady like words ran from her mouth. Her beloved Firebolt was out of commission for the rest of the game. "Sorry, Cris," Pamela yelled. "Now I need one." Then she summond her new Nimbus 2001 and waited for it to show up.

When it finally reached her she mounted it. "Thanks, Grampaw," Pamela muttered under her breath. She knew there was no way she would reach the snitch before Kaitlyn. She would sure as heck try. As she chased after Kaitlyn, Pamelahad an idea. It wasn't too mean, and she hoped Kaitlyn wouldn't hate her too much, but it was worth a shot. "Bludger!" Pamela yelled as loud as she could. Maybe it would make Kaitlyn look behind her.

Kaitlyn was tuned into the Snitch right above the goal post and she was close to it when someone yelled bludgers.. She went in a dive and than looked around.. it wasn't anyone from her team for the Hufflepuff beaters where doing there own thing.. Kaitlyn than looked and the Snitch was on the move.. She pointed her broom to it and pushed hard and shot up towards the Snitch which was not flying towards the crowd.

Pamela had hoped that the snitch would be lost if Kaitlyn was distracted. At least for that short time she had looked away, it did move. Pamela had the opportunity to catch up with it while Kaitlyn was searching for the supposed bludger. Pamela's trick helped a bit, even if it didn't do what she'd actually wanted. Now there was a real chase on.

(Gryffindor beater and co-captain)

June smiled as she flew through the air, on the look-out for any bludgers. As she searched, she kept an eye on her team mates, and was shocked for a moment as she watched Pamela spiral downwards, at an ever-increasing pace… It looked as if she was trying to pull up, but… June winced as Pamela crashed, and she flew downwards, wondering if her team mate was alright. Before she could reach her from the height that she had previously hovered, Pamela had already summoned a new broom, and June smiled in relief. Suddenly, the Gryffindor Seeker shouted “Bludger!” and June instantly turned her head, even though the shout had been directed at Kaitlyn. Oh, she exhaled at the sight of a clear sky behind her, and turned to look once more. She assumed it had been a diversionary tactic, but it only worked for a moment and then, the Hufflepuff Seeker was off again.

Oh well… June sighed and began to ascend the sky once more. Suddenly, a flash of shadow crossed her peripheral vision, and June turned her broom, wondering if it was a bludger. There! The shadow of a grin flitted across her face as the bludger had flitted across the sudden, alerting her to its presence, and June jerked up her broom, flying towards it. She flew upwards at a very steep angle, until she was many feet above the bludger. Levelling off, June began trailing the ball from above and waited impatiently for a few minutes, waiting for it to get into position. Finally, it seemed to fly in a path that would lead it above a yellow and black splotch… June grinned, and this time, it was far more than a shadow.

June pushed her broom to an almost vertical angle, and urged it downwards. She was flying at almost a ninety-degree angle, and she fought the urge to closer her eyes against the bitter wind. She had almost reached the bludger! June raised her bat with both hands, clutching her broom tightly with her legs, wondering distantly in her mind how she was able to stay on her broom at all. “WHHEEEEEEEE!!!!!!” June cried and crashed into the bludger with her bat. After hitting it, June quickly pulled out of her dive and slowed down, almost to a crawl.

She wondered what that move had looked like to the spectators… June imagined a red blur practically dropping straight down on a black blur, and then both blurs heading downwards… She giggled at the mental picture, even though it wasn’t even remotely funny. She looked down below her and smiled in delight as the bludger continued on the path that she’d mapped out for it. Look out below, Kaitlyn, June thought, and petted her beloved faithful bat.

Kate sat watching in awe as both seekers battled it out to get to the snitch. This is a good game. She thought to herself. Then, out of nowhere, a bludger started to dart towards Kaitlyn, the Hufflepuff seeker.

Oh no! She thought.

"Kaitlyn! Watch out! There is a bludger coming your way!!" She screemed and though she doubted it would make much difference, she still hoped all the same.

"Lets go Hufflepuff!" Etta cheered reawaking from her enchanted sleep mid flight across the pitch.

Kate's screams for Kaitlyn caught Etta's attention faster then you could say David Tennant running naked through the spectre stands and no-one seems to notice, the Bludger was gainging to much speed and force to quickly, it wouldnt only hurt her Seeker, it would kill her.

"CHARGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" she screamed to her broom, pointing it down in a nose dive. HEr broom, senseing the urgent need to reach the seeker, decided to go slower. "BROOM!" spat Etta whilst fear crawled slowly up her back. "MOVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEE FASTERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"

Etta's pleas to her broom only made it go slower, andwith every passing second, the bludger came closer to killing Kaitlyn.

"RIGHT THATS IT IM BUYING A NEW BROOM!" shouted Etta bitterly.

The broom, hearing those wood splintering words, shot off at the speed of light to where Kaitlyn was and where the Bludger was two seconds off. The now woozy Etta shoved Kaitlyn hard out of the way, and went to raise her beater's bat.

"WHERE IS MY BAT!?" Etta screamed in sudden horror, she had lost her bat, and the bludger was too close.

"BAdger roll," she said to herself as she dropped her body over the side of the broom and hung upside down.

The Bludger smashed into her broom, splitting it clean in two as well as smashing into Etta's left hand, shattering every bone in it...which im told is an awful lot.

"Oh dear," Etta muttered as pain became to much, she passed out and was back in the hands of gravity.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Chelle, wide eyes, looked over at Etta as she began falling to the ground at tremendous speed. Witout a second thought, she flew as quickly as her battered firebolt could take her, heading straight under her falling companion. She could see her eyes closed as she had been knocked out. Taking a gulp of air, she balanced herself onto the broom, holding on with only her feet, but she was going to be too late, Etta was falling too fast!

Thinking quickly, chelle spun her body around until her feet were holding her onto her broom upsidedown, and with a quick move she grabbed into thin air, her fingersgrasping onto Etta's leg.

They looked a sight as both of them dangled upsidedown from the one broom. She didnt know how illegaly it was, but it was a matter of life or death, so with her free hand, she pulled out her wand and pointed it towards her own broom.

"Doppelgang" she muttered.

As soon as she said the words, her broom doubled. With all her might, she pulled etta onto the other broom and guided it towards the ground.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

:Etta came to and found herself being pulled onto Chelle's broom, she smiled with relief as Chelle saved her from impending death, and grinned a smile as big as the Tyne when she saw her fellow badger enhance her broom.

Once on the ground, Etta jumped off the broom and flung her arms around Chelle's neck hugging the life out of her.

"Thank you, thank you thannnkkkkkkk yooouuuuuu," she cooed.

Suddenly hit with a wave of nauseating pain, Etta bowed to her Huffie and made like a badger for the set, over to Madame Pomfrey for some much needed medical attention.

Kate sat gripping her broom. That was close. Etta was very lucky. But they were now another member down. WHERE IS THAT SNITCH!! she thought angrily.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Not waiting to see if she scored, Rose turned her attention over to the seeker battle out. Gryffindor's seeker was trying to distract Kaitlyn, and they continued to dance in the air, both searching for the Snitch.

Rose then herd the loud, bellowing voice of Etta, and sat comfortably back on her broom as she watched to mad beater charge around. Then, of course, Etta was falling.
Again. Rose sighed, but kept a close eye on her teammate. Luckily, the gods seemed to favor Etta, and she was saved from certain doom for the billionth time this game.

Rose noticed that Etta's hand was broken. Her left. How quaint, Rose thought. Mine too. But reminding herself made the pain come back, and she cupped her hand closer to her chest, wondering if she should also go see Madame Pomfrey.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Rose herd Emma, crying out in excitement behind her. The Hufflepuff Chaser turned back around to see the Quaffle come flying back towards her. Rose grabbed it with her good hand quickly, frowning that there was no point out of that. She simply zigzaged her way up to the Gryffindor goals again. She dodged to the left, then held the quaffle up in the air, getting ready to toss it in. Suddenly, her mind changed, giving her a great idea. Rose flipped her broom over to the right, then quick as lighting tossed the quaffle into the goal.

"That's gonna be hard to save", she muttered happily.

(Gryffindor Chaser and Co-captain)

"SAVED!", Cris yelled happily and waved to Emma. "Awesome catch!", she shouted laughing at the way Emma had prevented the Hufflepuff Chaser from scoring - it didn't seem exactly on purpose, but who cared anyway, it had worked and Cris now felt like dancing!

However, her joy was short-lived, since Rose was quicker than herself at catching the Quaffle again and threw it ... OH! Another catch! Emma must be having a good day today, Cris mused with a broad grin on her face. "Might it be because she remembers me telling her, "You're fun, dude!"?".

Hurrying forward, she sped up - not an easy feat with her Cleansweep 7, but doable - stretched her hand out, and secured the Quaffle under her arm. "Finally mine, baby!", she thought and casually started flying toward the Hufflepuff goalposts. She wasn't going to lose this opportunity, come what might.
