The posts can begin on Saturday 8th March - not before!
and will end on Wednesday 12th March - 5 days of rpg posting!

When you post - please put your position and team (eg. Gryffindor Beater) in brackets before you begin the RPG post - otherwise your post will be void of any points!

Concentrate on building your points up and please read how the matches are scored!

Remember to observe the new Quidditch rules: day one is for arriving to the pitch, after which the referee will post and the game can properly begin and chasers can no longer immediately state that they have scored. They must wait for the Keeper to post. See this post for more info.

(Slytherin Seeker)
Violet sneered. Not only was she late, she was acting weird to. Violet turned back, grabbing her ponytail.'Where is it?Where is the snitch?' Violet kept asking herself. Violet flew around the pitch but saw nothing.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Dorothy had been sent off course by beeing squished by the birdie chasers, and now regained her bearings. Hearing Kaylee whistle, she sped forwards and re-joined her fellow chasers. "So, we got a plan?" Dorothy asked.
But when she looked around she saw a ravenclaw chaser flying full-pelt towards them, she decided to think quickly. "Shadow, Woollongong Shimmy!" She said to Shadow. The woollongong shimmy included high-speed zig-zagging to throw off opposing chasers.

(Ravenclaw keeper)

Polly's face lit up at the sight of another Ravenclaw player. As slytherin's and Ravenclaw's flew around the pitch Polly felt quiet relieved that there was no action on her end of the pitch. After a few dismal attemts Polly was hoping that the snitch would be caught and the match over and done with.

Polly saw the slytherin chasers begin to head in her way after a shout from Dorothy which made little sense to her. Moving backwards and forwards across the scoring area Polly was hopping to make a faint blur of herself by going fast so that the opponing chasers would not know which hoop was open.

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

Rigby watched as the Slytherins moved in for an attack on their goal hoops, but was relieved to see that Polly was preparing for them. She caught sight of the Slytherin seeker, pleased that Slytherin's team was once more fully staffed. Winning at quidditch was, after all, only fun when playing against a strong opponent.

Hoping to break things up again, Rigby dived towards the ground. She kept her eyes open for the snitch, weaving effortlessly thru the players on her way to the bottom of the pitch. She pulled up in plenty of time, and started to circle her way up. The snitch had to make an appearance soon. As she was making her third circle, still well under the game play area, she caught sight of the snitch.

Heart in throat, Rigby went full throtal after the snitch. The golden orb zoomed off, Rigby giving chase. It dashed over to the Ravenclaw goal hoops, and Rigby forced her body to go loose, in case she got hit by the quaffle. Fortunately the snitch climbed higher and faster, avoiding being in the middle of the attack on goal. Normally Rigby would have given a shout out to Polly, but both players heads had to be firmly in the game.

Keeping one eye on the snitch, Rigby half glanced around her to see if the Slytherin seeker was nearby. There was no sign of movement from her yet, but she had played too many games to ever count out the opposition's seeker. Well, she would deal with the Slytherin seeker when the time came. Until then she continued to follow the snitch on it's elusive track.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Dorothy saw the ravenclaw seeker shooting past after the snitch. "Violet!" Dorothy cried above the rising wind. "Snitch's over there!" She shouted, pointing.
Dorothy returned her attention to her more immediate problems. Uh-Oh... Dorothy thought as she saw the bludger speeding towards Shadow. "Sloth grip roll, Shadow!" Dorothy said, repeating what Kaylee said.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Shadow heard the shouts from her team mates and quickly tried the sloth grip roll, hanging onto her broom upside down. "Ok, She thought, "This could get a lot worse... I suppose...". The bludger sped over her broomstick and she felt the breeze as it went by. Letting out the breath that she realised that she had been holding, she righted herself on her broom. Glancing at her fellow chasers, she continued on their path.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Polly smiled to herself as she saw Rigby soar past her on the trail of the golden snitch. This could be the end of the match. she thought. A huge grin spread across her face.

Polly still moving backwards and forwards was growing weary, the hand she hand punched the goal post with was held tightly near her stomach. She was leaving her hand there to rest so that when the quaffle did get near her she could use what little stength it had gained from its hand-nap.

As the slytherin chasers continued on their decent Polly breathed heavily. She had been flying backwards and forwards for awhile now. If she stopped now everythign that she had done for the past few minutes would be completly worthless.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Eyes narrowed against the wind, Shadow headed towards the Ravenclaw goal posts. She saw that the keeper was ready, but decided that now was as good a time as any. Once she had entered the scoring area, she drew back her arm, hurling the quaffle towards the goal hoops with all her strength.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Dorothy held her breath as she watched Shadow throw the Quaffle. She hovered on her broom, ready nearby so that when the Quaffle was sent back she would be able to catch it. With a quick glance over her shoulder to check out the position of the ravenclaw seeker. Because if she caught it now... With a little shake, Dorothy calmed herself and turned back to the game. Still plenty of time... Catching the snitch doesn't necessarily mean that they win. She thought.

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

Rigby continued to chase after the snitch. It tried to throw her off course, flying in loops that made her slightly ill, then diving down so fast that her stomach felt like it was falling out. Still she stuck to it, but although she got close to it, the snitch always managed to stay just out of reach. She was dimly aware that it was just her and the snitch, that the Slytherin seeker was still not giving chase.

I should have taken some dramamine, she thought as the snitch began to twist and turn even more violently. Her broom was holding up well under the high speeds and tricky movements, barely shaking with the effort. Rigby bent down further, hugging the broom to her chest, cutting down the wind's resistance and creeping up closer to the snitch. She wanted to make a final push for the snitch, but she sensed that her timing was off. She would know when the snitch was ready to be caught, and obviously this one had been kept boxed up too long, taking pleasure in a long drawn out chase.

[Slytherin Chaser]

Seeing that Shadow had listened and avoided the bludger and still held onto the quaffle Kaylee let out a sigh of relief.

Thank the lucky stars Shadow heard us and got out of the way in time. I'm still trying to figure out how she successfully did a sloth grip roll and managed to hold onto the quaffle at the same time, the girl has obviously got some talent.

Once Shadow made it within the goal range Kaylee watched as she threw the quaffle towards the three rings.

As Kaylee watched the quaffle head towards the goal posts Kaylee started to fly around in different directions, looking like she was possibly losing control of her broom, trying to distract the keeper or even some of the opposing chasers. Even during her erratic flying moments Kaylee continued to stay deep in thought.

If Shadow hadn't moved in time that would have been the second player from the Slytherin team injured from a bludger this game, it would seem that the Ravenclaw beaters are on top of their game today.

Humming a strange tune softly Kaylee continued to fly around like she was about to lose control of her broom. This of course was a trick that she was taught by her uncles while she was still learning to fly. She knew of it's distracting abilities, "everyone loves to watch a potential tragedy" she half giggled half mumbled to herself hoping all of this was having the desired effect.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Kim flew in horror watching the Quaffle zoom from shadow's hands. She looked at polly's face, determination covered it. She knew Polly had it covered. She know's what she's doing. Kim held her breath...

Kim had seen herby blast the Bludger at Shadow, but Shadow flipped and missed it and still managed to shoot it. Dang, that was a good move. She looked at Elana, who was lying next to her. They knew it was too late to stop them, but Kim thought they should head down their. Either way Polly would have the ball, and they would have to be there for the pass.

Kim flew towards the hoops. She saw Rigby finally fly onto the field, but held no anger. She probably had a good reason, it's not a big deal...

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Polly watched as the chaser came near her, now breathing deeply she saw the quaffle release from her opponents hands. Flying quickly after it she was glad she had the speed from moving around in the scoring area. Her left arm was still held in close to her thumping in pain. Taking a deep breath Polly hurtled herself forward, as she felt her broom jerk beneth her she moved her outstreched arm in towards her. Her head connected with something in the air.

Recovering herself Polly looked around for the quaffle it took her awhile before she located it. The quaffle was now flying of towards the left hand side. Laughing loudly she realised that she had actually just head butted the quaffle out of the way. "Good broom" she said petting it lightly before she moved back into the centre of the scoring area. There was still enough time for a rebound but hopefully a Ravenclaw would get the quaffle.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Shadow cursed under her breath as Polly headbutted the quaffle away from the goal. Once it was back in play, Shadow flew forwards, catching it again. She turned to Dorothy, giving her a small nod. Diving under Dorothy, she hoped that her fellow chaser would follow her.

(Ravenclaw keeper)

Polly rubbed her head where she had head butted the quaffle. She was glad that she had deflected it but wished she could have done it in a more elegant way. Shruging to herself she decided it was best to be happy that she had saved another goal for Ravenclaw.

Watching the quaffle fly away towards the side Polly was disapointed when she saw that a slytherin chaser has recieved it instead of a Ravenclaw. Hopeing that Ravenclaw would quickly get back into motion. Polly rested of her broom supporting her minor injuries.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Dorothy cursed under her breath as the quaffle was blocked. But there was no use crying over spilt milk. Dorothy turned back to the game in time to see Shadow nod, quaffle in hand. Dorothy swooped down to meet her. "Shall we call Kaylee?" Dorothy said, before looking around for her. She saw her whizzing around on her broom, as if with no control. "Oh, no... Kaylee!' She shouted, before noticing a small smile on her face, the sort you get with a hidden secret. "A ploy... Thank goodness." Dorothy breathed a sigh of relif.
She whistled as loud as possible to call her over. Three's best to work with. Dorothy thought.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)
Polly watched as the quaffle was passed backwards and forwards between the slytherin chasers. Come on Ravenclaws Polly thought as the whole pitch seemed to be full of slytherins with little Ravenclaw action. Maybe she felt that way because it was only ever slytherin's that would come near her post.

Waiting eagerly for something to happen Polly pulled one of her keeper gloves out of her pocket, her left hand had now swelled up. Pushing it inside her pocket she turned her attention back to the game.

[Slytherin Chaser]

Still playing like she was out of control Kaylee stopped suddenly when she heard someone whistle at her. Looking around she noticed that Shadow was once again in possession of the quaffle.

Man that girl is quick I wonder how she does it, oh wait thats right she probably has an attention span that lasts longer than 5 seconds at a time.

Still smiling at her thoughts and previous actions Kaylee made her way towards Shadow and Dorthy.

"So any ideas on what our next plan of action should be?" Kaylee said as soon as she caught up and started flying in sync with Dorthy and Shadow once again heading straight towards those three beautiful posts on the horizon.

(Slytherin Chaser)

WE have to find a way to get past the keeper so that we can even our score." Shadow said to Kaylee, who had just flown over, "And we have to do it fast before the Ravenclaws get their act together." Shadow thought for a few seconds. "Is there anyway of creating a diversion?" She asked.

[Slytherin Chaser]

"I could always fly closer to Polly and start flying around in strange patterns and see if that might help distract her. Or maybe I could pretend like I've completely lost control of my broom and almost fall off right in front of her, that could always work." Kaylee replied to Shadows question smiling at all the possibilities.

I love creating distractions almost as much as I love flying.

Shrugging her shoulders Kaylee smiled at Shadow and finished off with, "Just let me know what you want to do, I'm up for anything."

(Slytherin Chaser)

"Do what ever you feel comfortable doing, I don't think Slytherin want to lose another chaser." Shadow replied, smiling slightly. Shifting the quaffle slightly under her arm, Shdow began to fly back towards the goal hoops.

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

Flying in waves and loops left Rigby feeling like she was riding a rollar coaster that only she and the snitch could see. Her hair, which she had originally had in a tight ponytail, was now flowing loose behind her, whipping her in the face on her sudden turns. She was careful to keep her mouth closed so that she wouldn't keep getting a mouthful of hair.

The snitch continued to fly just out of reach, teasing her with it's closeness, only to rush away when she reached out her hand. Snitchy-poo, please let me catch you, she sang in her mind.

[Slytherin Chaser]

Nodding towards Shadow Kaylee took of full speed ahead pulling out in front of Shadow and Dorthy towards Polly.

Lets see if I can distract you with this little trick.

Smiling slightly Kaylee sped towards Polly until she was just inside of the scoring range.

I need to make sure I have her full attention before I go flailing around like an idiot this time.

Suddenly the light switched on in Kaylees brain, if light bulbs really appeared over peoples heads as they had brilliant ideas there would be about 20 flashing all around her at this very moment.

"This had better work, normally I just rely on my flying skills - no acting is usually involved when it comes to these things." she mumbled to herself before coming to a sudden stop.

"I think somethings seriously wrong with my broom, is it normal for it to suddenly start shaking?" Kaylee called out to Polly using her best scared voice. "Oo No I think someone has put a hex on my broom!!!" Kaylee screamed out before Polly could even respond.

Looking out of the corner of her eye's she could see the tall tale signs that Polly was paying attention this time. With out even a second thought Kaylee flung her self over the side of her broom, keeping held on with just her hands now.

Shadow better go in for the score quickly, I can only hang here faking like this is real for so long before it starts to look fishy.

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)

Now, Elana wasn't usually one to doze, but pulling an all nighter to work on a project for Transfiguration before a game could easily lead to that, and it had. Jerking out of it, she wiped her eyes with the backs of her hands, and frantically looked around the pitch. She had drifted quite a ways, and was now hovoring just above the ground near the feet of the Hufflepuff stands. Ah, so the game wasn't over - people were still flying about, so obviously they still had a bit of time - and Kate, where was she? How was the Snitch seeking going? Peering around for her as she rose back to playing height, she spotted her racing after the flighty golden sphere, looking to be just out of reach. Knowing it'd be best to simply stay out of her way for now, Elana turned her attention back to the Quaffle. That was what she should be concerned with, anyways. It seemed to, once again, be in the Slytherin's possession, which was something that she couldn't have. And so she spun around to face the Ravenclaw goals and zoomed thataway, hoping to catch up with them before they scored.

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

The snitch continued its tricky chase, Rigby close behind. The wind roared past her ears, causing a stange silence that enabled her to focus on just the snitch. She could almost see it's turns before it moved.

Sensing that the time to catch the snitch was approaching, Rigby inched her way up the broomstick, fighting against the strong wind. She kept her mouth closed, her eyes narrowed, trying to streamline her body as much as possible. Her hand itched to reach for the snitch, but she kept a tight reign on it. She would not be caught empty handed when she went for her final grab.

Patiently, speeding so fast the wind cut like daggers, she followed the snitch, closing in the distance. Then suddenly there was no distance at all and her mind screamed, Now, now!

Reaching out she pushed forward one last time, fingers curling over the snitch like a venus fly trap. The snitch buzzed angerly before settling down in her palm. She raised her fist and triumph. Game over, snitch caught, Ravenclaws victorious.

wooh!!! and darn, i was just about to chase down shadow!!! but, boo ya!!! and we are allowed to post like this right, after it;'s been caught??

Yes, you can post in celebration, but it no longer counts toward posts the judges wiill mark us on.

(actually - I don't think she was allowed to catch the snitch yet - according to the rules posted here she isn't allowed to catch it until the 5th day. Which would be tomorrow - well at least in my time zone it would be. I'm not really sure if there is a time zone that is that far ahead of mine, well other than Australia - but I could be wrong *shrugs*) If I'm mistaken than I'm sorry - Please don't shoot!!

We don't shoot people here on HE. We use cattle prods. No seriously, the snitch can be caught at the stroke of midnight gmt time, which is what I did (which is 6pm my time usually, but because we sprang forward before Europe I had to wait untl 7pm my time). Back when I first started to play, Raisty was a seeker, and brutal, so it was always a race to see who could post straight up at midnight and who had to go back and edit a miss. *sighs* I miss the olden days.

Oh I see - Well I'm glad that no one gets shot - I think I might be able to handle the prodding

But in all seriousness thank you for clearing that up for me - I was very confused there for a couple of minutes

XD Its all cool. I didn't actually sign up for quidditch, I was just kinda of shoved in to it my the old head of Ravenclaw, and I still remember her nudging me on MSN to post the catch NOW! I remember thinking, how does she know that its time? But not all games end like this, if the neither of the seekers post, which on occasion happens with people's busy schedules, then the game just peters off until Amy or Elfie close it. I personally like it to end in catches, as it ties it up neatly. But catching the snitch does not assure any team of winning, it's our posts and gameplaying that count. The snitch catch only ends the game. Meaning, Slytherin has just a good chance as Ravenclaw as winning the extra 50 points. Hope that clears some questions up for you, I know it's hard when you're new asking questions, but don't ever sweat it. XD

aw man! This seemed to go by too fast! *sticks tongue out at Kate*. I suppose it could be worse... at least we turned up this time!

wait its to late to catch the snitch. man that aint fair. i havent even been here i was at the hospital! that sucks, well congrats!
