The posts can begin on Saturday 8th March - not before!
and will end on Wednesday 12th March - 5 days of rpg posting!

When you post - please put your position and team (eg. Gryffindor Beater) in brackets before you begin the RPG post - otherwise your post will be void of any points!

Remember to observe the new Quidditch rules: day one is for arriving to the pitch, after which the referee will post and the game can properly begin and chasers can no longer immediately state that they have scored. They must wait for the Keeper to post. See this post for more info.

Dorothy saw her teammates signaling to eachother and flew over so she was nearby. Just in case they drop the quaffle. Dorothy thought. She looked around quickly in case there were any bludgers and to catch up on the game. I hope they pull it off... It's not the easiest of moves. Dorothy thought, running her fingers through her hair in anticipation.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Shadow continued to move forwards and upwards, trying to move away form the opposing chasers before she dropped the quaffle to Kaylee. She then dived alongside it, hoping that her fellow chasers would react quickly enough to catch the quaffle.

(Slytherin Keeper and Captain)

Raistlin had to pay a visit to the healers to get rid of his stomach ache at lest for now "This is only a quick fix, you won't feel pain now but after the game the pain will return stronger." looking grumbly at the healer Raistlin said "Just do it, I'll deal with the pain later."

Once he was ready he returned to the game and noticed Ravenclaw had scored "Those treacherous birds I'll show them."

However he seemed to have an almost full team no "Oh I can't remember the last time this happened." he also noticed chasers were workign together on a pretty hard move in order to score. "Well, well isn't this a lovely surprise." Polly was not as an experienced Keeper as he was so he hoped she wouldn't be able to defend that. He kept watching.

(Ravenclaw Beater and Captain

::Herby bounced back into the game. After their victorious goal thanks to Elana, she seemed to still be dancing near her friends in the stands. Gah, how embarrassing. Honestly she didn't realize how much of a fool she was looking.::

::Acting as if nothing had happened she gripped her broom and continued on her mission in the game, to find the bludger. As she continued her search it became clearer that Slytherin has 3 chasers. This completely caught her off guard as they so far only have one.::

::This didn't bring down her spirits as all for Polly return back into the game and now they were ready to roll. Soring to the Slytherin end a stray bludger was seen off in the distance. She knew what she must do. After a bit of luck came to her as she gently tapped the bludger just enough to change it course and continue on the one that she choose it to.::

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)

Shoot! Why didn't she look back to see? WHY?! She had basically handed the Quaffle right to the snakes! Grumbling angrilly, Elana spun her broom around, headed now towards the Ravenclaw's end of the pitch. As she went, she passed by Herby, who was flying back the way she came, hopefully for a Bludger. Now, if she could only get close enough to the Slytherin Chasers so that if they dropped it when hit by Herby it could once again be hers...She sped up, racing down to the other end of the pitch, determined as ever to claim back what she saw as rightfully her team's.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Shadow spotted a Ravenclaw chaser heading their way, and dived to recuperate the quaffle which her team mate hadn't yet caught, for fear of giving them the ideal opportunity to get that quaffle again and score before the Slytherins had a chance to even the score.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Dorothy flew behind Shadow. Dorothy signaled at Shadow to pass it behind her to Dorothy, therefore performing the reverse pass. Looking around so's to check if a ravenclaw beater were whacking a bludger towards them, she signaled again, hoping that Shadow would notice.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Shadow saw Dorothy's signals, and quickly looked around for anything that would put a safe pass at risk. Seeing nothing, she gave Dorothy a sharp nod with her head. She threw the quaffle over her shoulder, hoping that Dorothy would catch it. Once the quaffle was out of her hands, she pulled her broom handle up, performing a backwards loop to place herself behind her team mate.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Dorothy caught the Quaffle, taking both hands of the broom to do so. Dorothy flew in the direction of the ravenclaw goal hoops, indicating for Shadow to follow. She wanted to try a move that she had practiced not to long ago where they pass the Quaffle to each other to throw off opposing chasers while flying towards the goal hoops. With a nod at Shadow to catch it, she threw the Quaffle.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Shadow flew after Dorothy, catching up with her and overtaking her, grabbing the quaffle from the air in the process. She gave a curt nod to Dorothy, slowing down slightly, but still remaining ahead. She readied herself to throw the quaffle back to her, hoping that she would be able to react fast enough to catch it.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Polly watched in anticipation as the slytherin chasers continued to hold posetion of the quaffle. She could do nothing but watch and wait. Hoping that her fellow Ravenclaw's would get the quaffle back Polly watched as the quaffle was passed as though it was a hot potatoe. Though with much more precision than if you were holding a hot potatoe.

Looking to the side of her she noticed she had flew forwards and was now hovering just outside the scoring area. Turing around she quickly got back into her correct position. Adjusting herself on her broom. Her feet that were then held loosly on the golden bars slipped down slightly so that she could quickly remove her foot if it required it.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Dorothy sped forwards to be able to receive the Quaffle. She saw Polly, the ravenclaw keeper watch them carefully. Dorothy concentrated on the Quaffle in Shadow's hands. She nodded at Shadow as if to say: 'Shall I shoot for goal?'. Chancing a quick glance around for the birdy chasers. Good, far behind. Dorothy thought as her attention returned to Shadow with the Quaffle.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Shadow nodded once at Dorothy and threw her the quaffle, wishing her the best of luck mentally. Biting her lip, Shadow stopped, so as not to cross the scoring area line. "Go for it Dorothy!" She thought.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

All the secret noddings and hand signals were making Polly's head hurt. It appeared to her that either dorothy or shadow would go for the goal. 'Hmm great two out of three' she muttered to herself. 'Though of course the 3rd chaser is probably going to be the one who goes for it now.' She said in reply to herself and wondered how strange she must look sitting on a broom stick in the middle of a quidditch match talking to herself.

Shaking her head she tried to focus her qi energy so that she had only eyes for the players and the quaffle.

As she battled with her thoughts Polly watched as the quaffle was passed to Dorothy. 'Eeep' she cried.

Qi - A thing here that refers to a state of mind. Its sort of what Harry was aming to achieve in occulmency. By using the energy flow it would mean focussing the energy of my mind onto the only thing I want it to be on.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Dorothy caught the Quaffle, then entered the scoring area. Dorothy was suddenly aware of all the spectators watching, all of a sudden the center of attention. Dorothy started going through the reasons in her head why she joined the team. It calmed her slightly, and prepared to throw the Quaffle.
She knew she had a big fat 0 chance of scoring, but threw it as hard and as accurate as possible anyway. She held her breath as she watched to she if it would go in or if the Keeper would save it.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

After the quick pass between Shadow and Dorothy, Polly hardly had time to prepair herself. The quaffle was quickly fired at the center hoop. Shooting herself upwards she travelled as fast as she could. The quaffle now almost to the goal was only inches away from her. Polly spread her arms out and felt her fingers brush against the cool leather of the quaffle. Scraping hard against it with her nails she tried desperatly to pull it back towards her. But as her feeble attempt passed she heard a resounding clunk and a roar from the slytherin stands that told her the quaffle had gone through.

As this thought sunk into her head Polly's anger bubbled in her. She had known it was Dorothy who would be going for the goal. In her temper Polly turned around and smacked the hoop much to her dispair. Flying down to collect the quaffle her hand now thumping in pain. 'Stupid hot potatoe' she cried as she pulled the quaffle close to her.

Flying back up to her scoring area Polly threw the quaffle to one of the Ravenclaw chasers, hoping that they could get ahead of the game again.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Dorothy let out a whoop as she saw the Quaffle go through. "Yes!" She cried, and punched the air. But she returned her attention to the game, and saw the Quaffle fly in an arc towards the birdy chasers. Speeding forwards, she urged her firebolt on to catch it. But it was in vain, as she had allowed herself too long a celebration to be able to catch up. She pulled the firebolt to a halt. Damn and blast! She thought. Oh well... There'll be other opportunities.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Although Polly had just allowed the quaffle to go into the hoop she smiled to herself as the slytherin chaser did not manage to obtain the quaffle again.

Polly was now back to her usual position in the middle of the scoring area. Her bottom that was now becomming uncomfortable, her hand bright red and beginning to bruise stared back at her. That was going to hurt her for a few days. Polly often wished that she did not have so much of a temper but she had let an easy goal in.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Shadow spotted the quaffle out of the corner of her eye and darted towards it, managing to catch it again. Turning back round to face the goal hoops, Shadow whistled to Dorothy and Kaylee to get their attention. Signaling quickly to them, she moved forwards in the hawkshead formation, hoping that they would follow her lead.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Dorothy joined the arrow, advancing towards the goal hoops once again. She looked behind her, hoping that Kaylee would follow. The Hawkshead attacking formatiom wouldn't be much with only two Chasers. As they speeded on, Dorothy had to duck a stray bludger with the sloth grip roll. Regaining her sense of balance, she re-joined Shadow.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

As two of the Ravenclaw keepers decended towards her yet again Polly's heart began to thump hard in her chest. She was determined not to let another goal in. The last one had been a foolish mistake. She had not had a chance to use some of the new features on her broomstick something she had been seriously looking forward too.

Polly foccussed her mind again into her qi status totally blanking it. The two chasers coming ever closer all the time.

Kim had been flying, chasing after the Slytherin Chasers with all her might. But she was too late. The Quaffle slipped passed poor Polly. She had thrown the ball towards her but Shadow had got to it first. Kim was now really angry that Slytherin was in much power. She looked at Elana and gestured towards the 3 Chaseers, now heading again for the hoops.

Kim flew off, pushing her whole body against her broom for maximum speed. She had seen Shadow's signals, but hadn't a clue what they meant. She wondered if maybe the Slytherin Quidditch Team took mime clases, thinking of a time when she had lost her voice and too, had to mime. She thought the team probably enjoyed making everyone else on the pitch go crazy. Maybe if i read some of the Quidditch plays, I would have an idea what they meant...
Kim was thinking if only her and Elana would each get a Chaser to trail, they would maybe have a chance of retrieving the ball. If only we had that 3rd Chaser, then there wouldn't be a free player...

She saw the Slytherin plan of action forming and hoped she and her teammates could stop it. Oh, and where are the Seekers, really, what's the point of playing without them..

(Slytherin Chaser)

Glancing behind her, Shadow saw that one of the Ravenclaw chasers were on their tail, and she didn't look happy at all. Shadow made a quick decision. Their formation wasn't going to work, not if the Ravenclaws were going to be as determined as this one seemed to be. Whistling to Dorothy again, she pointed behind to Kim, and then dived beneath Dorothy, coming up just beside her.

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)

Elana nodded and began tailing the snakes alongside Kim. A thought struck her then to better trap the Chasers and get the Quaffle, and so she whispered, "I think it's time to give them a little squeeze, hehehe."

With that, she leaned over to the left and sped up, and was in line with one of the Slytherin Chasers. Hopefully, Kim was doing the same on the other side. She came in closer, bumping against the Chaser. Now at top speed, the four of them were still racing for the Ravenclaw goals, but, with any luck, the Quaffle would be back in Ravenclaw hands before then.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Shadow quickly glanced over her shoulder again to see where the opposing chasers were, when she realised that they weren't there. She looked around wildly, eyes wide, trying to spot them when she saw them closing in on her and Dorothy. In a panic, Shadow dived, so that she was no longer beside Dorothy.

Kim watched as Shadow looked back at her then flew under her fellow Chaser, Dorothy. Probally to discuss a new plan, she thought. It would be terribly rude to inturrupt, but this isn't manners class!!! she thought. She looked again at Elana and knew what to do.

She flew over and was just about to push into Shadow, when she dove down. Kim had now squished Dorothy, with Elana. So they were both there, and the Chaser with the ball was free. Kim halted and dove down, now chasing Shadow. She flew up alongside her and said, "Hello," then fought for the ball with the lonely Chaser[b]

(Slytherin Chaser)

Shadow pulled up from her dive to be met by Kim. Turning a backwards loop in her panic, Shadow tried to change direction.
"Hoi!" She shouted to her fellow chasers, "I could use a hand over here!" Shadow angled herself for the Ravenclaw goal hoops, crossing her fingers that the others would react in time.

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)

Elana dove down after the struggling Chasers to help Kim get the Quaffle. After a little tussle, the Quaffle was in her possession. She immediately sneakily handed it off to Kim and flew down the pitch, getting ready to catch it when it would come her way. They would make it, she knew they would!

(Slytherin Chaser)

Shadow had lost the quaffle and was now fuming. She darted off after the two Ravenclaw chasers, intent on getting her revenge. Gritting her teeth, she narrowed her eyes against the wind as she hunched herself over her broom. She signaled quickly to Dorothy to follow her.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Kim pulled with her might, and hoped Elana was on her way near. She squeezed with all her might between her arms, to grasp the ball. SHe thought of what she had learned in basketball and applied it to Quidditch- shake, squeeze, pull, shake, twist...

And Elana popped up and helped and got the ball!! Elana passed her the ball ad flew for a pass. Kim flew a little ways and then passed the ball back to Elana. She flew up more to line them up, closing in on the hoops and keeper.SHe couldn't hear the other Chasers, and wondered what they were doing, looking back she now saw a horrifying scary face on one of them, both headed their way...

(Slytherin Chaser)

Eyes flashing, Shadow flew between the two Ravenclaw chasers to block any passes that they might try. She matched their pace, her gaze darting between them. She hoped that Dorothy was nearby so that they could make a quick get away.

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)

She caught the Quaffle, and continued down the pitch, trying to not look behind her and just focus on getting to the Slytherin goals. Once they were there, Elana took aim and threw the Quaffle towards, and hopefully into, the right hand goal. Well, they had done all they could - whether it went in or not was out of their hands (literally). She zipped around to give Kimber a high-five, and then turned back to the goals to see if Rai had managed to stop it, or if they had gotten lucky once again.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Shadow pulled her broom to a stop angrily. She hadn't made it in time. All the Slytherin chasers could do now was watch and hope that Raistlin could come up with some sort of amazing way to save the goal, like he always did. Shadow positioned herself ready to get the quaffle once Raistilin threw it back into the game. This time, she wasn't going to give up with out a fight.

(Slytherin Seeker)
Violet was flying around the pitch when she saw it. Speeding down towards, someone screamed and she waited for the other seeker to gang up on her 'Where are they?' She asked herself, as she flew toward the snitch. A bludger flew by her and she lost the snitch. "Dang!" Violet screamed, and flew back up

(Slytherin Keeper and Captain)

Raistlin was truly pleased with the effors his team was doing. The Slytherins Chasers were disturbing the Rav ones long enough for them not be able to make a strong play.

When Elana threw the quaffle Raistlin easily defend the hoop with the end part of his broom sending it spinning towards the other end of the pitch.

"Birdie, birdie, birdie. GO FETCH!" he shouted maliciously.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Shadow sighed with relief as Raistlin saved the goal and darted off up the pitch to get the quaffle before the Ravenclaws got their act together again. Signaling quickly to the other chasers again, Shadow hoped that this time, they would have a decent chance of scoring again. She flew off towards the Ravenclaw goal hoops, eyes narrowd against the wind.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Kim had been happy they fulfilled their plan, but once again Rai blocked it. I hate to say it but, dang! he is good! he should be a ravenclaw with talent like that... Kim was upset they hadn't made it, but wasn't going to quit not, she was by george a ravenclaw!!!

She gave Elana a oh-well-we-tried look, and them zoomed towards Shadow, who had just recieved the ball. She flew full forse towards the Chaser hoping the others wouldn't catch up. She wondered if just trying to grab the ball would be easiest approach..

(Ravenclaw Beater and Captain)

::Herby snapped back to reality. She thought it was ok to gawk a bit but she was unaware that the Slytherin team was acting stronger then usual. It was quite strange how the team that didn't show up last year was started to attack strong and hard.::

::Getting her head back into the game, Herby still had her bludger close by. Herby quickly found Elana and whispered a plan into her ear. Nodding they new what must be done.::

[Slytherin Chaser]

After watching the fiasco that ensued from their failed attempt at pulling off the Porskoff Ploy Kaylee zoned off for a moment in total disbelief that the plan had fallen through. After what seemed like an eternity she snapped back into normal a functioning person and resumed playing.

Looking around she noticed that Shadow was once again in possession of the quaffle. While looking around the pitch she also noticed some whispering going on between Herby and Elana.

I wonder what that's all about, no doubt something that's probably not going to play out in our favor. Hopefully if we keep a sharp eye out we can stop what ever those Ravenclaws are planning.

Seeing that herself, Shadow and Dorthy were now all at different sides of the pitch Kaylee let out the loudest whistle she could muster trying to capture Dorthy's attention as she took off in the direction that Shadow was now flying.

Once she thought she could see Dorthy looking her way Kaylee yelled out, "Lets give Shadow some back up, and keep an eye out for those two." As she finished she motioned towards the whispering Ravenclaws.

"Lets see if we can't give these Ravenclaws something to whisper about." Kaylee mumbled to herself as she leaned down onto her broom trying to catch up to Shadow.

(ravenclaw chaser)

Kim watched in horror as the Slytherin's had the ball again. She hoped whatever Herby and Elana were planning was good. She flew over to them and said quickly,"Hey, sorry but, we kinda need to get the ball!" gesturing to their end of the field.

Kim debated on whether or not to wait for Elana, deciding she must work as a team, and waited. She decided she couldn't risk it and soared towards the chasers.

(Slytherin Chaser)

Shadow let out a sigh of relief as she saw the other two Slytherin chasers. She slowed down slightly to give them a chance to catch up. Signaling to them quickly, she moved forwards in the hawkshead formation, hoping that they would follow her lead and that they would be able to pull it off this time.

(Ravenclaw Beater and Captain)

::Herby bounced back into the game. Here eyes were now watching shadow. It seemed the Slytherins were trying to create a plan and with a small crack of her bat, Herby sent the bludger straight for Shadow. It was only a matter of time before the bludger would hit its target.::

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)

"Quaffle," Elana muttered to herself, eyes rapidly scanning the pitch. "Quaffley, where are you?" she sang. Where had that tricky little bugger gone, she wondered. Couldn't be far off, no no no, the pitch wasn't that big. Spotting a formation of Slytherin Chasers speeding towards the Ravenclaw goals with Kimber close on their tails, she figured that it must be with them. She turned her broom thataway, and proceeded to attempt catching up with them. Once that was done, she pulled up on the handle of her broom to peek down at them from above to try and spot the Quaffle. When she could see who had it, then she'd go in for the take...

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

Rigby slammed into the locker room like a juggernaught. Her muggle clothes flying off as she jumped and wiggled into her quidditch robes. She hopped over to her broomstick, shoving on her shoes over bright blue and bronze striped socks. She pointed her wand to her laces, not having the time to bend and tie them herself. She was beyond late for their first game of the season, and she was going to have to play spectacularly in order to make it up to her team. But first, she had to make it to the field.

Shoes on, wand stowed away in her robes, broomstick in hand, she raced down the tunnel. When she got close to the exit she hopped onto her broom, zooming out to the pitch. The crowd was completely into the game and the noise level was almost unbearable. It set Rigby's heart racing. She soared high in the air, needing to check out the game play from above. Once she was up she began to search for the snitch in earnest.

(Ravenclaw Beater and Captain)

::Herby watched as the bludger still continued down its path towards Shadow, and at the corner of her eye she sees a familiar face. Kate? Herby stops and gives a wave as she continues on her mission. But not before she sees Elana eyeing the quaffle.::

::Flying over to Kate, Herby give her a high five.::

"I missed ya. Thanks goodness you are here."

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

Rigby smiled brilliantly back at Herby, even though her hand stung a bit from the hi-five. Herby might be happy to see her, but she had put an awful lot of force behind that hand slap. That's what I get for being late!

"I apologize for being late, I really could use a rememberall I guess. But I promise to make it up to you by catching the snitch!"

Rigby flew off, investigating a glint of gold over by the Slytherin stands. It would do a lot for her self esteem if she could catch the snitch after just a few minutes on the pitch, but she was no Harry Potter.

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)

Another blue-robed figure had arrived - could it be...Elana gasped. It was!

She turned her head to look over her shoulder to confirm that it was her - their almighty Seeker-Co Captain - and ecstaticly yelled, "KATE!" Overjoyed that she had arrived, Elana had to remind herself to turn back to the task at hand - finding the Quaffle amidst the billowing green robes. She then caught a glimse of red - there it was! How dare it hide from her for so long! She swooped down, trying to break the Slytherin's formation to get at the Quaffle.

(Ravenclaw Beater and Captain)

"I apologize for being late, I really could use a rememberall I guess. But I promise to make it up to you by catching the snitch!"

::Herby giggled as Kate flew off in the distance. A small smirk formed on her face. She new she should get back into the game and hoped that her tap was not to hard to bounce her back into the game.::

::Elana also seemed to be getting back into it as it looked as if she had officially found where the quaffle was hiding.::

"Go, Elana" ::Herby yelled::

::She only wished that she could drop her bat and help her out as Elana was completely out numbered by robes of green. Rolling her eyes, Herby continued to look for the other bludger that was still missing.::

[Slytherin Chaser]

Trying desperately to make it over to Shadow to help her out on her quest for the goal posts Kaylee heard a resounding crack from some where not to far in the distance. With a quick glance she could almost bet she knew exactly what had just occurred.

I'm betting by Herby's outstretched arm with beater in hand that she just sent a bludger on it's way. But where or where could that meddlesome little bludger be?

Before she even had time to give anything a second thought Kaylee found the bludger and it took her even less time to realize that it was headed straight towards Shadow.

Crouching down further on her broom trying to pick up more speed she continued to make her way towards Shadow, not really sure what she was going to do when she got to her.

Taking another glance Kaylee came to the awful realization that the bluger would defiantly reach Shadow before she could. It was only maybe 3 to 5 yards away now.

At the same moment she also noticed the two Ravenclaw chasers who were also making their way towards Shadow.

Maybe everything will work out for the best, especially since the two opposing chasers don't seem to notice the bludger also heading in Shadows direction. If I can make it over their to catch the quaffle while Shadow rolls off that will leave the birds there as the pray for the incoming bludger.

Without even a second thought Kaylee shouted out, "Shadow you need to get rid of the quaffle and sloth grip roll NOW!"

"Man I sure hope this works." Kaylee silently mumbled to herself as she came within range of Shadow.

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-captain}

The gold glint Rigby had seen by the Slytherin stands was no more than a candy bar wrapper. Disappointed as she was that the snitch was not there, she did manage to score some chocolate from a very put- out Slytherin first year.

She heard Elana call her name, and she waved to her, but Elana was already chasing after the heavily Slytherin guarded quaffle. She took a moment to cheer Elana on before returning to her original position high above the game.

Here, high above the play, was the perfect place for a quick seeker. It gave her a chance to avoid most of the bludgers, but also a great vantage point for snitch seeking. Her hazel eyes moved restlessly over the pitch. The snitch was out there somewhere. Craning her neck and tilting her head to the right she listened for it's whisper. If one listened carefully you could almost here the golden voice of the snitch call to you.
