Christmas at Hogwarts

It was Christmas eve


Natalie sat at the Gryffindor table, which was half empty due to people going home for Christmas, but her sister and parents were on an away break in China, so she had decided to stay here. She wanted to play exploding snape with someone, but all her Gryffindor friends were absent.

Violet walked in the great hall, sitting at the table, which was the only one dued to many going home. "Hi" she said to natalie

"Hello," said Natalie politely to Violet, but did not expect her to react....she always got the feelings Violet didn't like her.

"How are you? And you might like your mind to be closed." She said, laughing."My father isnt here neither are the spies."

"Ahhh...so its your father....and his spies that don't like...you know....people like me," said Natalie, "I'm ok.....can't wait till tomorrow...I hope you like your prescent I got you, I expect you'll get it tomorrow at the end of your bed as usual."

"Maybe." Violet said, sipping her pumpkin juice. She was going to surprize her tomorrow with a ticket to go to the best wizard spa in the world, seeing as she didnt want.

Jamie walked in and saw the two girls at the table "hey! how are youse?" he asked the girls as he sat down "you all staying for christamas?"

"Yeah," said Natalie, "I take it your staying too, do you want to sit down here, seeing as there is nobody at the Hufflepuff table," she offered him a seat near her and Violet, "I was just telling Violet about how I sent her a prescent....and I might have sent you one too...you'll have to wait and see..."

Shadow walked in, making her way over to a table, keeping her distance from those already there.

Shadow watched from the far corner as Dorothy walked in, but made no move.

"shad come here" Jamie yelled he hated to see her on her own, even i she did prefere it that way

"yea im staying" jamie said to Natalie taking up her offer on the seat "what is it you sent me? come on tell me, i might tell you what i go you..........." he finished smirking at the though of Natalies face if she found out

Shadow sighed and stood up, making her way over to Jamie.

(doesn't take you long to get started does it?)

Jamie moved over to let Shadow sit between Violet and him, he new Violet and Shadow were good friends

"Thanks, but I'd prefer to stand," Shadow said.

"Come on Shadow, sit. " Violet said, patting the set beside her.

Shadow shook her head again.
"No thanks."

Violet shrugged,"Your loss." and sipped her drink

Shadow pulled her hood over her face so that you could only see her eyes.

"Um, hi Dorothy....I haven't seen you in a while.....whats wrong?" she asked, for it was obvious the other girl was forcing herself to be happy, "I got you something too, Dorothy, and you Shadow...I think you'll get them tomorrow at the end of your beds," she turned to Jamie, "well...I'm not telling you...what? You can't wait 12 hours? Ok, you tell me first...go on...and I promise I'll tell you after!"

Shadow blushed slightly under her hood, thankful that no one could see it.
"I got you all presents as well... but they're from my dimension, so please don't laugh."

"Aww, I won't laugh Shad....you know I won't," said Natalie.

Shadow shrugged.
"You never know what some people think."

"You can always count on me," said Natalie.

"Thanks." Shadow said softly.

"Are you sure you don't want to sit down? Maybe play a couple of games of exploding snap?" asked Natalie

Shadow shook her head.
"No, I prefer to be on alert."

Violet walked back in with the present for her friends.

"Ok...the at least pull a cracker with me, to get you into the holiday spirit," said Natalie hopefully, holding out a large wizards cracker.

"Oh my gosh Violet," said Natalie, "I though Santa Claus was coming tonight."

"i may not be here." Violet siad, handing Nat her ticket and Shadow a purple cloak.

"Oh, where are you going, I thought you were staying at Hogwarts for Christmas," said Natalie in surprise.

"Umm, mission." Violet said."I might be gone in the morning." Violet said

"Oh," said Natalie, sensing the other girl didn't want to talk about it.

"Well, I hate spas so here." Violet siad.

"Oh my goodness," said Natalie in surprise. It was a ticket to Well Witches new spa in Hogsmeade.

"That you so much violet," said Natalie, "and since you won't be here, here's yours."

It was a large selection of sweets from Honeydukes and some skiving snack boxes from Weasleys Wizard Weezes.

Violet smiled."Thanks." She said."Do you like your gift Shadow?"

Shadow gave Violet a rare smile and switched her black cloak for the new one.
"Thank you, here's yours." She produced a thin gold chain with an amethyst pendant.

"You gave me a pendant the same color as my name?Thank you! My father never bought me one, I even asked" Violet siad, slipping the chain on.

"Thank you." Shadow replied, and gave Willow another chain, although this time, the pendant was a mixture of green and silver.

"Yo, I wonder if my owl could make it way here.." S.master waiting while eating some chocolate frogs.

"right then Natalie" Jamie smiled "i want mine too...."

S.master looked around at the students who're opening packages and stuff.
"Hm.. There could be a party in the common rooms.."

Violet grabbed her arm"I have to go.Bye" She siad and walked out the door

"hum, bye" he called after Violet

Shadow pulled a long, thin package from under her cloak, handing it to Jamie.
"Again. it's from my dimension, and I hope it's the right length for you." She said quietly, hoping that he didn't think that her choice of a sword for him wasn't too laughable.

"They really are interesting. " s.master finishing blood flavored lollipop.

Jamie ripped it open "wow," he gasped. he stood up and measured the sword it was the same lenght as his legs, "thats Shad!" he laughed hugging he from behind

"ill show you yours later" he winked "only joking." he handed her a long parcel, soft and silkly material "hope it fits!"
