Christmas at Hogwarts

It was Christmas eve


Natalie sat at the Gryffindor table, which was half empty due to people going home for Christmas, but her sister and parents were on an away break in China, so she had decided to stay here. She wanted to play exploding snape with someone, but all her Gryffindor friends were absent.

Eliza looked over at Jamie fussing over Shadow and sighed. She wished someone cared for her like that. But then her ermine appeared and she smiled. She didn't need that. Not while she had her ice-spr--
Don't think it! Someone may be an Occlumens here, or able to read minds... Her ermine thought to her. She agreed, realising that it was a valuable piece of information against her.

"What has happened here?!" exclaimed Natalie as she approached.

"Raven lost control." Shadow explained. "And that's rare, and normally mortal."

"Yeah, but you probably just postponed her anger." Shadow warned.

"If you're gonna say it, please just say it!" Shadow said, exasperated. "I've got half of my sides trying to work it out, and it's giving me a headache."

"Yeah, Knowledge just worked it out." Shadow said, sitting down with her back to the wall. Although she was trying not to show it, she was having a really hard time with her emotions and demonic side, which was threatening to break out again.

"It's a sprite of some sort, and given your magic, I'm suspecting water or ice." Shadow said, rubbing the gem embedded between her eyebrows as she always did when stressed or trying to calm down.

Shadow smiled slightly at the sprite, not noticing that her her eyes had once again been replaced by four blood red ones.

Jamie felt each snowflake touch his face,

"thats so wierd, so the snow has a animagus form.... wicked!"

Shadow smiled slightly before she stood up,walking over to her now calmed down sister.

"I don't think I'd like to be part-demon," said Natalie.

"doesn't it look all fun-and-games?" Jamie asked scarcastically laughing

Shadow rolled her eyes shaking her head. Raven was now standing up, looking around.

"You ok?" Natalie asked Raven quietly.

Raven nodded slowly.
"What's your name?" She asked.

"I'm Natalie....you're sister Shadow knows me," said Natalie uncertainly, she had though Raven knew her name.

Raven nodded, and Shadow smiled slightly.
"Raven tends to be a bit... odd after something like that." She explained.

"Oh, that's ok," said Natalie, looking at Raven and Shadow together, and she smiled.

"I wish my sister could come here," she said, "but she hasn't got a drop of magical blood in her, like my parents."

"Well, er... we're twins, you see, we're both half demon..." Shadow said hesitating.

"So together, your basically one whole human, and one whole demon," said Natalie, smiling slightly.

"Together? Yes. Although we prefer not to be referred to as one person, even though we practically live in each other's minds." Shadow said, shrugging.

"Oh, sorry," said Natalie apologetically. She didn't like affending people.

"S'ok, that's by far not the worst we've heard." Shadow said, smiling slightly.

Shadow glanced over at Eliza.
"Except that you can hide it, and you're not considered as dangerous."

Jamie looked up, he'd been lost in many thoughts for a while,

"calmed down now Raven?" he asked her not being rude but feeling in a nice mood with her now he'd let out all of his frustration

Raven nodded, looking a bit sheepish.
"Sorry about that..."

"no-matter, im sure you feel better now.." Jamie nudged her on the side

Raven swatted his hand away, staring to walk off.
"I'm going to the common room. I need to meditate."

"Um....whats up Shad?" asked Natalie.

"Let's see, my sister has just turned up and she's already getting on my nerves." Shadow said, rubbing the circular scar around her eye.

"Aww.....but you know, you and Raven are always so great together...what happened?" asked Natalie.

"Raven isn't supposed to be in this dimension, we were supposed to be kept apart. Raven's has defied that rule, and is afraid that the High Priestess of our dimension will turn up as well, even though she doesn't show it." Shadow explained.

Shadow glanced up, seeing Eliza watching them.
"What?"

Jamie looked up,

"please can you all give this a rest, your giving me a migrain(sp)"

(Migrain)

"If you wish." Shadow said.

"whats up?" he tone was sort of moody

"Nothing." Shadow replied. "I had better go. I'll see you all tomorrow." Shadow said, starting to walk off.

"girls" he whispered under his breath

"I heard that." Shadow said, turning round.

"That's true." Shadow said.
