Holly's Fourteenth Birthday

Holly glanced once again in her portable mirror, unconvinced.
"You look fine," Riley said, "Seriously. Can I eat cake now?"
"Not yet doll," Holly said grinning, and examined the landscape, "People will be arriving soon.....THEN you can eat cake,"
She laughed.

Hayley glanced at Tiffany's nails, and then said something she never imagined she would say to a doll. "Where did you get your nail varnish?"

"Creppy Dolls Are Us?" Holly muttered grinning.

"Well sweetface, I...well...I stole it out of my old boyfriend's house after Chucky killed him," said Tiffany, blushing.

"Oh yeah...now that was a cool kill that day...I just pulled his lip stud out, and he sort of bled alot, and then I smuthered him with a pillow," said Chucky, grinning, "my first kill after my reincarnation.

"Oh, well in that case, I'll just buy some at Diagon Alley," said Hayley, slightly horrified at the thought of someone's lip piercing being ripped out.

Natalie smiled.

"Not so happy with the answer, are we Hayley?" Natalie asked, laughing.

"Are we Hayley?" Holly repeated when it took over three years for Hayley to answer.

Natalie helped herself to a hand full of fizzing whizzbies.

"Ooh....me me me," said Chucky, who then started jumping up and down like a child.

"Fine....but just a few....remember earlier?" said Natalie, holding them down low enough so Chucky could nearly reach, but not quite.

"Yes...just gimme some...I swear I won't get hyper or boring this time....just gimme what I want...I want it NOW," said Chucky, jumping desperately.

"You want alot of things.... but fine...here," said Natalie, handing him some, "but stop behaving like a spoilt brat."

"He always does...don't worry about it sweetface," said Tiffany.

Chucky ate the candy.

"Thank you," he said, and this was such a shock for Tiffany that she actually screamed.

Holly "Ahem" 'ed, and took some candy without asking. She loved her some candy that girl.

Hayley took some candy too.

Chucky and Tiffany took a seat in the corner for some alone time to talk, while Natalie ate more candy.

Holly evesdropped on Chucky and Tiffany's disgusting conversatoin, puking when it was appropriate.

"You are so like Chucky sometimes sweetface, it's unbelievable," said Tiffany, smiling at Holly.

"So you think I'm a girl now," said Chucky, trying to look annoyed, but instead looking amused.

"No," said Tiffany, "do you want me to?"

"Maybe...." said Chucky, grinning.

"EW!" Holly said, edging away from the nerds dolls and towards her Riley.

Natalie grinned at Holly.

Holly grinned back, but was still wary of the dolls. She began to dance to "Famous Last Words" by MCR, her new favourite song.

"You change favourite songs like five times a day, don't you?" said Natalie, grinning, amused by Holly's little ways.

Hayley grinned, "She does," she said, also amused.

Natalie smiled in approval.

"Even my brain would go into melt-down trying to remember all Holly's favourite songs for this month," said Natalie, grinning.

Hayley gasped. "Wow," she said, sarcastically.

"Why the sarcasum Hayls?" Natalie asked.

"AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!" Shouted Shadow's voice as two figures appeared before stumbling and falling into a heap on the ground.
"Seriously, Raven, the dungeons, the transfiguration classroom, filch's office, the quidditch pitch, hogsmeade... GET A GRIP ON YOUR NAVIGATION!!!"
"Sorry." Mumbled Raven as they managed to stand up again.
"Sorry we're late." Shadow said, seeing the others. "Raven couldn' t get a hold on where we were going." She handed Holly three packages. She knew that one held a marbled red and gold pendant, an other dress that was red until it hit the light when it turned gold, and the last one a tiara enchanted by their magic to make the wearer seem even more beautiful. All of them were made in their home dimension.

Natalie smiled at Shadow and Raven.

"Hey you guys, whats up?" asked Natalie.

"Hey Nat, we're fine. You?" The twins said in unison.

"I'm ok..." said Natalie, who had pulled out a compact mirror. She frowned at herself, and then decided to change her look a bit. She knew Shadow didn't know about her new-found abilities, so she thought hard of a good way to make herself look. Suddenly, Natalie's hair changed to shoulder length red and gold locks that shimmered beautifully in the light. She made her nose look slightly smaller too. She looked...pretty.

Shadow smiled at her friend.
"Nice."

"Thanks," said Natalie, "I found I had the ability of Metamorphamagi while you were away on your trip...but I have had to be trained to use it properly. Professor McGonagall's done a great job at instructing me...and I got my proper license last month."

"Well done! Looks like everyone's been learning. You being an metaporphamagi, Raven went through intensive battle, I passed my medic training, anyone else?" Shadow said with a bigger smile.

"Oh hello" Holly said dreamily. She had just come out of a very long daze, "Shad, so nice you could come. Thanks kiddo!"

Shadow and Raven bowed to Holly, saying something in demonic, which meant 'happy birthday', but only they knew that.

Holly grinned at the words she did not, and would never, understand. She assumed it meant something demonic, but she did not comment.
"Having a pleasent time?" she asked, looking at the rather lame party.

Shadow and Raven handed Holly the three presents they had brought.

Hayley picked up her fourth butterbeer, getting a tad...tipsy. "Woah there Hayley, enought butterbeer for you," Jake said, taking the bottle from her hand. She frowned, then giggled, and sat on an armchair. "So," she said, in a slightly slurred voice, "Wat's the...criac?"

Natalie took a bottle of butterbeer.

"Why do you even drink firewhiskey when you get drunk on this stuff?" Natalie asked Hayley, giggling at her drunkiness.

Holly grinned and took the presents off of Shadow, thanking her in the process.
"Ri, will you take these to the table dude?"
"Yes your majesty," Riley muttered rolling his eyes.

Shadow pretended to hit him round the head.
"Do as you're told and no lip."

"The girls got spunk," Holly admired and then added, "But I dont know what that is.....,"
Riley backed away from Shadow. They had never OFFICIALLY met, but he had heard good things about her.

Shadow bit her lip, taking Riley's retreat as a bad omen.

Riley noticed the look on her face and stepped forward again looking a little scared.
"RILEY!" Holly yelled, "BE A BIT MORE HOSPITABLE! THE GIRLS TRYING TO BE NICE TO YOU AND ALL YOU DO IS LOOK SCARED?"
She turned to Shadow.
"Oh dont mind him, I think hes drunk,"

Shadow nodded slowly, but made a mental note to watch hil carefully.

"I am not!" Riley said, completely non slurly. Holly on the other hand....
"LIES!" she yelled at him, but then giggled to show she was joking, "Im sorry kiddo. ..... lemons....,"

Shadow shrugged.
"You get used to it." She said emotionlessly.

"Mmmm so. Fish, they are off the CHAIN!" said Holly, the vegetarian if fish count as meat.

Shadow nibbled on a carrot stick, while Raven looked around.

"Someone do something fun," Holly begged, mostly to Riley, "Anythin.......pwead?"
She gave him puppy dog eyes.
"Dont make my party useless," she said, pulling at his cuffs.
"I'll think of something," Riley promised looking helpless. He looked at Shadow and Raven for support.

"Don't look at us." Shadow said. "Fun wasn't allowed where we come from."

Holly nodded solemly.
"Then lets.....lets....SNOG SPIN!"
It was a stupid idea, but it had to be said.
"Yayayyayayayayaya," Holly said, and pranced off to find a bottle.

When Holly did not return Riley assumed she must have taken a wrong turn and accidently wandered into the boys dormitory, but didnt want to come back.
He shuddered at the thought, threw an apologetic look at the Roth's, and hurried after her.

Shadow and Raven shrugged in unison, chattering in demonic.

"So.....," George said balancing from leg to leg, "Thanks for Hollys present....,"
