Holly's Fourteenth Birthday

Holly glanced once again in her portable mirror, unconvinced.
"You look fine," Riley said, "Seriously. Can I eat cake now?"
"Not yet doll," Holly said grinning, and examined the landscape, "People will be arriving soon.....THEN you can eat cake,"
She laughed.

"Welcome, I hope they're ok. We brought them from our dimension." Shadow said.

"Oh? Awesome!"
Some of Hollys language was starting to rub off on George.
As if on queue, Holly reappeared, Riley at her heels, bottle in hand.
"Wooooo snog spin! I want to change the name though. Holly spin! YAYAYAYAYA!"

Hayley giggled, and got up. "I'll play also," she said slurrily.

"I hate to think." Shadow muttered to Raven.

"Me too," Holly agreed wisely, remembered it was her idea, and shrugged.

"I wanna play too," said Natalie.

"Us too," said Tiffany, but Chucky look unsure.

Natalie grinned.

"Is there point in even asking this....but...is this like spin the bottle?" asked Chucky.

"Yes," said Natalie.

"Then I'll just watch," said Chucky, going over and sitting on Natalie's lap.

"Why?" Tiffany asked.

"Do you remember what happened in high school?" asked Chucky.

"Um....yes....ok....maybe I'd better sit this one too," said Tiffany, going red and also sitting on Natalie lap.

"Ok...let's play," said Natalie to Holly, "what are we waiting for?"

"Um. Just thinking. Riles is the only single guy......I KNOW! Lets get all the Weasleys over!"

"Yeah....but just Fred, George and Ron...and we could invite Harry Potter too...and Ginny Weasley...and Hermione Granger...and need to talk to her about something anyway," said Natalie, grinning.

"Is it about what you tried to get Harry to do last summer? Cause no offence babe, it was TOTALLY obvious he was into ME,"

"Aw babe...you think he was winking at you that day....Ginny Weasley was standing behind you....he was winking at her," said Natalie, "sorry to disappoint you."

Holly laughed.
"I was kidding kiddo," she said.

Shadow and Raven looked at each other before srugging. They had no idea of what was going on.

Holly lost track of the conversation as one of her ex's entered.
"Hello Ryan," Riley said coldly to the new comer.

Natalie scowled. She had managed to forget about that jerk Ryan and what he had done to Holly....until now.

Holly looked at the look on Natalies face, wondering what on earth she was thinking about. She remembered dumping Ryan for Riley, but at this particular moment couldnt remember why.
"Hi," she said, "Guys, Ryan, Ryan, guys,"

"Hey jerk," said Natalie, giving Ryan a sarcastic smile. Then she kicked him in the shins and walk away.

"NEYAHAHAHAHA," Chucky laughed, "that was good Natalie....you're learning.....from moi...the master"

"You can take him down if you want Chucky....he hurt Holly....but I don't really mean that....don't even think about killing him...he just really mean...and since when do you speck french," said Natalie.

Ryan had never hurt Holly. Holly had hurt Ryan, though Holly and Riley both snorted at what had just happened.
"Hey," Ryan said again, "How ya been? Happy birthday,"

"You don't know....but while Ryan was going out with you...I saw him kissing a Slytherin girl under a tree," Natalie whispered to Holly.

"Same day he saw me going with Riley under the same tree two hours before?" Holly asked bitng her lip, "Im a bad person sometimes...,"
She laughed.

"But....you don't understand....he also came onto me at the Christmas party....so I slapped him then too....like he was really coming onto me...like mensioning mistletoe alot." explained NAtalie.

"S'ok I was cheating on him with Riley all along," Holly said non concerned, "Cause Riley's a much better k-"
"Yes?" Riley asked earnestly.
"Hes much nosier," Holly said grinning.

Natalie smacked her head of the wall.

"So...I stood on his foot for nothing?" said Natalie.

"Kinda," Holly said, "But trust me babe, it was worth it,"

"Yes it was," said Chucky, "now that is an art...that guy's foot looks a bit lit an American football now."


And sure enough, Ryan's foot hand swollen to a huge size.

Holly smirked, and Riley practically laughed his head off.
Ryan didnt find anything funny.
"Just came to say .... hi....,"
"Well hi," Holly said simply.
"Are you.....are you seeing somebody?"
Holly shuffled uncomfortably, as she did anytiem someone asked this question. For the simple reason she didnt know.
"Yes," Riley said, "She is,"

"Ryan....sorry about that...I didn't...oh....but I do have an art for it, don't I Chucky," NAtalie sniggered, "sorry Ryan...and about the jerk comment too."

"Thats fine," Ryan said, "I dont think Holly and me were ever meant to be....,"
He looked troubled, which made Riley snort and Holly nudge him.

"No, you weren't..." said Natalie, but not in an unkind way, "but I think that Slytherin girl still likes you though."

"Yeah....well....shes not really my type," Ryan said shrugging, and then glancing and Holly and then Natalie.
"Um. Any particular reason your here?" Holly asked, "Not to be mean, but I wanna spend this day with my best friends only.....sorry buddy. Riley will show you to the door."
Ryan nodded and left.

"Bye," said Natalie blankly.

Holly grinned after him.

((ABOUT HALF TWO! My ma wants me to clean my room a bit))

Natalie sat down.

"Well....whats up with you?" Natalie asked Holly.

"Little," Holly said grinning, it was as if the voices in her head were saying "HALF TWO" and she was frightened. She had simply been asking a question.

Natalie was just having a laugh.

Hayley watched as Ryan left. "Well, he seems nice," she said simply. Jake glared at him as he left. "Wat's wrong Jakers?" Hayley asked him.Jake never took his eyes off the door. "We, um...never really got along," he said coldly. Hayley shrugged. "Okay," she said, glancing at Holly.

"Did you have a fling?" Holly couldnt help asking Jake, "With Ryan I mean,"
Riley snorted but covered it with a cough.

Hayley snorted, as Jake glared at Holly. "No. He went out with my sister, Alex. He hurt her. So," he slammed his fist into his hand, "I hurt him."

Natalie laughed. She was rather impressed.

"VIOLENCE IS NEVER THE ANSWER! THIS IS MY BIRTHDAY JAKE! BE NICE!"

Hatley laughed, and Jake scowled, as Ryan entered the room again, with a sly look on his face. He looked like he wanted to annoy someone. "Jakers! I never saw you, um I was wondering, can I have Alex's number?" he laughed, and ran out, as Jake got up, seething. Hayley garbbed his arm, and pulled him down. "Leave it Jake," she said.

"Yeah Jake," Holly spat at him, then remembered who's side she was on, "Oh. Sorry."

Jake shrugged Hayley's arm off, and walked upstarirs to the boys dorm.

"Reckon their doing stuff?" Holly asked Riley in a mutter.

"Well...I would...if they weren't both straight and attractive," said Natalie, "and if Jakers weren't going out with our wee Hayley."

Natalie sat down and picked up Tiffany.

"So...will you do my nails tonight Tiff?" Natalie asked.

"Yeah, sure sweetface," said Tiffany smiling at Natalie.

"Oh mummy...will you do mine too," said Glen.

"Glenda?" Tiffany asked.

"No...it's still me," said Glen.

"Oh dear lord," said Chucky, "this worse than him being half girl...please say you're kidding Glen...or that you are really Glenda."

"No...I'm still Glen...and it might be fun," said Glen.

Chucky looked as though he had just been slapped in the face.

Shadow chuckled quietly at the scene.

Aura and Lily entered with a ghosty figure of Phoenix next to them.
"Happy birthday!" she exclaime "Here" she said passing a birthday present.

Holly grinned, happy her two friends had joined the party.
"Hey dudes," she said, taking the package off of them and setting it with the others on the table, "Thanks!"

Phoenix smiled "Happy birthday" she said, Aura went staight to the food and Lily stood shyly in the corner.
