10 years later. Shadow and Jamies house.

Jamie ran down the stairs in a hurry, pulling on his sweater.
"hey..." he said to the person sitting on the stool in the kitchen...

Jamie looked at her
"come on that was a joke!" he yelled

"Thats my daughter and she hates me! Do you think its funny! When you and Shadow have you're children, how would you feel if tey hated you?" Violet asked, crying.

Shadow strode off out into the garden.

Jamie looked at Violet...
"okay ill talk to your daughter thingy and then you talk to Shadow..." Jamie told her...
"i am a whitelighter magical... she'll love me!" he said smiling at her and hugged her, then he walked over to her daughter

"MY daughter isnt a thingy." Violet said. "And no, you're not talking to her until Shaeman is finished teaching her whatever." She said.

"what's he teaching her? manners?" he asked

Shaeman glowered at Jamie.

"Her magic was blocked or something. She is most likely a muggle to say the least. She has not magic at all." Violet said, looking in Sakens room.

Shadow sat outside on the grass, thinking.

Shaeman nodded.

Violet knocked on the door. "Can we come in real quick?" She asked.

jamie watched the goings on...
"muggle? whats so bad about that?" he asked

"She cant be a witch or demon." Violet said threw gritted teeth.

Shadow heard a soft twang and a flash of pain shot up her arm. Looking down, she saw an arrow sticking out her arm. Trying hard not to cry out, she turned round, and saw three archers aiming at her. She leapt to her feet and ran back inside.

Violet heard the door shut. "Shadow?" She asked, walking back down stairs.

Shadow quickly ran to her room, shutting the door and taking out her medic kit.
"No point giving them any more reason..." She muttered.

Volet knocked on the door. "I know your in there." She said, walking in. "What happen?" She asked.

Shadow opened the door partly, only allowing half her face to show.
"It's ok, nothing's wrong." She said.

"Shadow, you cant lie to me when you run in door slamming it. Now what happe, are they here?" Violet asked.

Shadow closed the door quickly, and snapped the arrow shaft, wincing at the head buried itself deeper into her skin before dropping it and opening the door fully, hiding her arm inder her cloak.

Violet looked at Shadow, narrowing her eyes. "Who was it??" She asked. "Are you hurt, if so, it could harm your children." Violet asked. "Feeling sick or something?""

"Look, it's nothing serious." Shadow said quickly.

"Your tone says otherwise." She said, looking at the kit on the bed. "Where are you hurt at?" She asked.

Alyssa glared. "What am I suppose to call her? Woman?" She asled

"Treat her with respect!" Shaeman said.

"It's nothing." Shadow said again.

Alyssa coward back. "But...but she is...is a human." She said, holding her head down.

"Shadow, if your hurt, it could affect your children." Violet said.

Shadow sighed, and showed Violet the snapped arrow shaft.

"Human, demon, creature, all deserve to be respected." Shaeman said.

"Shadow, that could get infected." Violet said, looking at it. "You need to get that out, who did this?" She asked, grabbing something to clean the blood off her skin with.


"Not if you dont like them" She mumbled. "I want to go home." She said, pulling the covers back over her head.

"Someone." Shadow said, starting to sort through her medic kit and taking out some disinfectant and gauze.

"It doesn't matter who they are." Shaeman said, "And where, for you, is home?"

'Back whereI was when you and that other person kidnapped me. I'm telling on you." She said, which was muffled by the covers.

"You dont know who?" Violet asked. "I think they are trying to kill you. You two need to go ahead and plan." She said.

"I'm just thankful that they missed." Shadow muttered. She hissed in pain as she used a pair of tweezers to pull out the arrow head before cleaning it out.

"Why is that your home? Those people told you you were stupid." Shaeman said.

"Atleast I wasnt yelled at for speaking the truth about humans!" She yelled, crying. "They are all stupid and not worth anything!"

"No, they're not. You yourself, are two thirds human." Shaeman said.

Shadow carefully put two stitches in the would before cleaning up the kit and putting it away.
"Don't tell Jamie about this."

"I wont." Violet said, picking up the stuff on the bed. "But have you two firgured out something, cause next time, they may not miss." Violet said.

"No I'm not." Alyssa said. "You're lying to me."

"I'm not lying to you." Shaeman assured her. He gently took one of her hairs, one of Violet's that he had found, and one of his. Muttering a spell under his breath, he surrounded them in magic. His hair and VIolet's combined, forming one identical to Alyssa's.

"The Eldars are going to help." Shadow said.

"What are you doing?" Aylssa asked, peeking from under the covers.


Violet nodded. "What are they going to do?" She asked. "And what if they dont listen?" Violet said, thinking of something horrible. "No, I shouldnt thin that." She mubled shaking her head

"I don't know." Shadow said, lying down on her bed.

"Proving that you are my and Violet's daughter." Shaeman said.

"That proves nothing." She mumbled, looking at him.

Violet sat beside her, "Shadow, what if they dont listen and before they tell you what happens. The Senate comes and takes them away?" Violet whispered.

"It will." Shaeman affirmed.

Shadow began to cry silently.
"I don't want to go through this."

Violet nodded. "Im sorry." She said, rubbing her back.

"How will it prove anything? You could fake it." Aylssa said, sitting up on the bed.

"If you want, I'll do it again and you can watch to see if I fake it." Shaeman said.

Shadow tried to stop crying, but couldn't.

Alyssa shook her head. "I dont beleive you. And you can fake magic when somene is looking." She said.

Violet felt tears rolled down her face, seeing her best friend cry. "Please dont cry." Violet said, wipping her own away.

"Then you try." Shaeman said.

Shadow wiped her tears away and tried again to stop them coming.
"It's like Kar's after us all over again."

"Sh, I know." Violet whispered, playing with her hair. "Come on someone needs to sleep." Violet said. "Maybe you will feel a bit better then." Violet whispered.

"I cant." Alyssa said. "And you cant make me. Cause your a stranger." She said.

Shaeman looked up at the ceiling and slowly counted to ten.
"Look, you don't want me to lose my temper, do you?"

Shadow nodded, but she tensed as someone knocked on the door.

"I'll get it." Violet said. Getting up, she looked out the window. "Shadow....it's that....woman who married my father at one time. I forgot her name." Violet said, looking over at her. Thinking about something. "Dam." She said running out of the room into Saken's room. "Hurry, get her and take her somewhere, now." VIolet said, grabbing stuff and fixing it. Violet walked down stairs. Opening the door, she looked at her. "What do you want, ma'am?" She asked, panting.

Alyssa looked at him. "You dont scare me." She said, right as Violet ran in.

Shaeman quickly grabbed Alyssa, running outside and using his magic to disguise her as one of the yearling pegasui Shadow had to train.

Jamie ran outside
"whats happening?" he yelled

Arais glared at Violet. "I remeber you." She said. "I to do, what was it. I was saving you wasnt it?" Violet asked smartly. Arais pushed herself in, pushing Violet down. "You could say excuse me." Violet said, dusting off her brown dress. "Going somewhere?" She asked, talking about the jacket she had on. Violet looked and said "No, I fell asleep with it." She mumbled

Shaeman ran back into the house, having left Alyssa with strict instructiions not to leave Merlas' side. He saw Jamie there and pulled him aside.
"We have to protect Shadow and Alyssa." He hissed.

Arias nodded. "I came to talk to Shadow." She said. "Where is she?" She asked. Violet looked up. "I'll go get her." Violet said. Arais nodded adn sat down. "Shadow, she wants to see you. I have a feeling she isnt along for right now." Violet said, tears in her eyes.
