The Escape

Shadow ran across the Hogwarts grounds to where Merlas was waiting for her patiently, two smaller figures following her as closely as they could. The pegasus nickered gently as she approached and shook her mane. Shadow lifted the two figures onto the horse's back, and the moonlight showed two five-year-old girls. Shadow gathered up the reins, passing them to the child in front, but keeping one hand on Merlas' bridle.
"Remember what I taught you about riding and flying. Merlas will keep you safe."
"But why do we have to go?" One girl said. She had black hair and one white streak at the front, with fearful violet eyes, clinging onto her sister's waist as she sat behind her.
"It's not safe for you here Onyx." Shadow replied soothingly.
"Why not?" Asked Onyx's sister, who had deep violet hair and three white streaks. She seemed to be irritated at having to leave.
"Peace Archangel, if what the messenger said is true, my father, the big demon, is back and it isn't safe for you here. ON top of that, you have demon haters here. I want to keep you safe. Do you understand?" Shadow said.
"But..." Archangel started to say.
"Do you understand?"
"Yes mother..."

Holly collapsed next to her.
"Thanks," she said to Violet, before springing up to help Shadow.

Violet nodded, mumbling some words. "This is good training for Healing Training." She mumbled.

Shadow looked at Holly and smiled tiredly, starting to pull at the silver band around her head.

"I know something that may remove." Voilet said.

Shadow tried to say something, but no sound came out. Her eyes widened and she touched the scar again.

"You wanna be a Healer?" Holly asked confused.

"Shadow...hold on." Violet said, looking around for some potions. "Whats the point of ended in this room if I cant find it." She mumbled

"Accio?" Holly suggested.

"No, wont work." Violet said, running around the room.

Shadow was twitching until she got up and began to pace the room.

"Sit down." Violet said, looking back at her. "Wheres Raven?" She asked.

Holly nodded and looked up at Shadow.
"Holding up?" she asked softly.

Shadow shrugged, not stopping her pacing.

"Thats not helping." Violet said, smiling. "Found them." She said, wlaking in the room.

Holly sighed gently and looked around the room they were in.
"Is this Hogwarts?" she asked, hugging her knees.

Shadow kept pacing, walking in a circle, trying to clear her mind enough to think.

"Yeah!" Violet yelled, grabbing every potion and walking back towards them

Shadow looked up at Violet before staring at the floor again.

"Drink this." She said, handing each of them a potion. "Its to clear your minds of worry." She siad.

Holly took the potion from Violet and nodded in thanks, but she simply looked at the contents doubtfully.
"You sure?" she asked.

Shadow took the potion, sniffed it carefully before drinking it. She tried to say 'thanks', but still no sound came out of her mouth. SHe frowned.

"No, I'm trying to kill you." Violet said sarcasticly, swallow some herself. "I swear to you." She said.

Holly glanced at Shadow and copied her motions.
"Did it work?" she asked out loud.

Shadow tried to talk again, but didn't manage. She nodded instead.

Vilet searched threw the potions, grabbing a healing potion. "Shadow." She said, handing it.

Holly nodded.
"Thanks, that did actually work a little," she said to Violet.

Shadow took the potion, and hoped that it would sort her problem.

"Well?" Holly asked expectantly.

Violet nodded, grabbing at potion without a name on it. She swallowd it quick, shaking her head.

Shadow tried to talk, but nothing happened.

Holly was puzzled.
"Shadow.....? Speak kid speak, and Violet if thats alcohol please give me some."

"Take this. " She whispered. "Its should help." Violet said, passing her a potion. Violet shook her head. "Its not." She mumbled, breathing hard. "It may have been a kill like potion." Violt said, holding her chest. "I needed one." She told them.

Shadow shook her head, trying to say she couldn't.

Holly looked worriedly from Violet to Shadow, wondering what to do.
"Shad you cant talk at all? Man.....um.....here write down whatever you are trying to say."
Holly held out her arm and a biro pen.
"Its a muggle thing, it works good,"

"Then I dont know." Violet said, grabbing her chest tighter. "Take the rest of this potion." She said. "Its a kill like potion. It suppose to start your 'life' back over. It works." She said, beganing to feel better.

Shadow shook her head.
I can speak like this... She said, projecting her thoughts.

Violet's breathing returned normal and she nodded. "Come on." She said, walking to the door.

Holly nodded, hearing the thoughts.
"Good....good....um....well. What should we do now? If we need to move I can KIND of apparate....but im afraid of like splinching one of you...."

Shadow pointed to the silver band around her head and shrugged.

"I'll live." Violet said, twisting her head. "We need to plan what we are doing." She said.

Holly nodded slightly and looked over at Violet by the door.
"Mm," she agreed, "Have we all three wands between us?"

"Did." Violet said, holding her hands up. "Lost it when I was pushed." She said.

Shadow looked at Holly with an 'isn't it obvious' look.

Holly bit her lip.
"Two wands then," she said worriedly, but spotted the look on Shadows face, "Project your thoughts would you i dunno what youre sayin!"

I can't use a wand, and this stupid band stops me using too much magic! Shadow thought aloud.

Violet cleared her throat. "Wait....whose wand did I use then." She said, looking over at the wand on the floor. "Mine now." She said.

"Oh," Holly said, "Well then two. Two wands. Two able bodied witches. One Shadow....um... Plan anyone?"

"I distract him. But I'm not pulling another Violet!" She shouted, looking at the wand

Get this bloody band off my head! Shadow's thoughts roared.

"We're right here," Holly said alarmed, "Dont shout kid. And ok....you distract him I......I sit and be pretty?" she added hopefully.
