Rose's 17th -Time to Party

Rose walked into the dorm, frowning. Streamers everywhere, the whole place littered with decorations. Rose looked around to see if anyone was there. "Hello? Did you do this, Skie? I told you not too...." Rose sat her books down on the bed and noticed a small piece of paper. She picked it up and read it.

"For those wonderus friends of Rosalie Vain, come join the Birthday fun at her dorm tonight."

Rose sat back down on the bed, laughing as Nat and Holly danced.

Holly shook her head at Natalie's moves and break-danced.

Natalie couldn't breakdance, but continued doing a hand-jive kind of dance.

Rose clapped and cheered Holly on.

Holly winked at Rose and continued.

"Who wants cake?" Rose asked, turning the music down some.

Holly stopped dancing abruptly.
"CAKE!" she yelled, "Thats my middle name!.....actually it rhymes with the first part of my middle name....never mind. Yeah cake!"

Rose laughed. "Cool. Lucky for use, whoever started this party left a big on right over here." Rose picked up the box carefully, huffing under it's weight. "Geeesh! It's heavy!" She sat it down on a table and pulled the strings on the box so that it fell off and revealed a beautiful, colorful cake. The writing on it read:

Happy Birthday Rosie!
Daddy loves you <3

Rose teared up a little. "Dad..." The edges of the cake had eatable roses of every color. It looked like it was 1/3 chocolate, 1/3 vanilla, and 1/3.....strawberry? Yes, strawberry. Rose began to cut the cake. "Who wants what?"

Holly glanced at the writing on the cake and smiled.
"You wait a moment babe," Holly said and with a flick of her wand ignited a tiny part of the cake, "Make a wish...."

"Oh, right, I nearly forgot...." Rose closed her eyes and thought hard. She smiled, and without opening her eyes, blew the flame out.

Holly grinned.
"Granted." she said, hoping Rose's wish would indeed, be granted.

Natalie gave Rose a round of applause.

Rose blushed, hoping she would get her wish too. "So, who wants what flavor? We have chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry."

"STRAWBERRY!" Holly yelled grinning.

Rose cut a big slice of strawberry cake out and handed it to Holly. "Would you like any toppings on that?" Rose said, revealing the massive box of sprinkles, chocolate syrup, and everything else to make a cake yummy.

Holly's mouth fell open.
"I love you Rose." she said, which is a quote from Titanic.

Rose chuckled. "What can I say, my dad's the bomb." Rose grabbed a few dozen different kinds of sprinkles and gummy worms, spreading them on the table. "Hmmm, I wonder what fire sprinkles taste like..."

Natalie grinned.
"I'd love to be able to say that about my dad....he thinks the jokes on the back of peguin wrappers are hillarious," said Natalie, shrugging.

Rose laughed. "Nice."

Matthew walked up and scared Rose,
"hey wolf!" he laughed

Rose jumped. "Ack!" She punched Mat playfully in the side. "Stop doing that! Oh, what flavor cake do you want, by the way. We've got strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla."

"Vanilla.." he smiled... "Anywho, having a good day?" he asked her

Natalie smiled politely at Matthew.

Rose cut a part of the cake and handed it to Matthew. She pointed to the counter. "Toppings are over there. And yes, I have to say even though I hate surprises, it had been a lovely day."

Matthew smiled
"Good, thanks!" he said when she handed him the cake. Matthew smiled back to Natalie

Rose cut a chocolate piece out fore herself.

Matthew smiled at her,
"well who organised this?" he asked Rose

"I guess my dad did. He sent the giant cake and 50 pounds off toppings."

Matthew raised his eyebrow
"Cool.." he exclaimed smiling now...

Rose swallowed and sat down on her bed. "Yeah..."

Holly stared at Matthew, cause that's what Holly does.

Rose grabbed more chocolate syrup and dumped it on her cake.

"S'it nice dude?" Holly asked.

"Partaaay," said Natalie absently.

"No," Holly said, "Dont do that Nat."
She laughed at her.

Matthew stared back at Holly, cus thats what he does.

"Partaay," said Natalie again.

Holly stared at Matthew, cause thats what Holly always does.

"Partaay," said Natalie once again.

"STOP SAYING THAT!" Holly yelled.

"Partaay," said Natalie, grinning slightly.

"Doy!" Holly said.

"You don't get alot of 'doy' nowadays," commented Natalie.

"I know....DOY!" Holly yelled.

"Um," said Natalie.

"Sorry," Holly said.

Natalie smiled slightly.

Holly tossed cake in Natalie's direction.

Matthew stood back a little not wanting to be hit by flying cake.

"I wouldnt hit you Matt," Holly promised
