Rose's 17th -Time to Party

Rose walked into the dorm, frowning. Streamers everywhere, the whole place littered with decorations. Rose looked around to see if anyone was there. "Hello? Did you do this, Skie? I told you not too...." Rose sat her books down on the bed and noticed a small piece of paper. She picked it up and read it.

"For those wonderus friends of Rosalie Vain, come join the Birthday fun at her dorm tonight."

"Nope," Skie said, as she tackle huggled Rose. "But, I ran over as soon as I heard the word party and Rose. Plus, I brought another cake just in case you needed one." Skie produced a double chocolate triple layer fudge ripple cake from behind her back, as if by magic. "I might have squished it a little when I hugged you, but I think it'll taste the same. And see? It even says 'Bill won't get hit by a car'!" Said Skie proudly.

Rose smiled. "I guess one of my dorm mates did it. I wonder if they'll come..." Rose took the cake happily and sat it on her bed. "It looks great Skie. Thanks. And I'm quite glad Bill won't get hit by a car."

Rose looked over at Violet. "Um, Vi, Skie. Skie, Vi. Not sure if you guys have met..."

"I know her." Violet said, nodding.

"Sweet." Rose turned back to Skie, who seemed to have run off. "Hmm, maybe she went to the bathroom..."

"Hi Violet!" Skie said cheerfully as she came up behind Rose trying to scare the beejesus out of her.

"GYAH!" Rose jumped in the air and spun around quickly. "What is WRONG with you?!"

Violet raised an eyebrow but said nothing.

"I was dropped on my head when I was a baby," Skie said with her most serious face, a smile not even hinted at the edges of her lips.

Rose rolled her eyes. "Thats a surprise."

"Aw, that's so mean!" Skie said indignantly. "I mean I turned out okay didn't I? Ooooh! Look Rose, it's a butterfly!" Losing her train of thought, Skie turned towards the butterfly and then remembered that it probably wasn't helping her case. "I mean, I am totally sane."

Rose tackled her friend. "I bet this is all your way of saying I'm not sane."

Natalie, who had been silent throughout the conversation as she was thinking, stuck a blood-pop in her mouth to satisfy her hunger.

"AM I LATE?" Holly asked loudly, bursting in, "Oh, hello people."

"Yes...very," said NAtalie, grinning.

"Hi Holly!" Chucky yelled from the trunk.

"I SAID BARBIE MODE!" Natalie yelled.

*Silence*

Natalie looked at the trunk approvingly.

Matthew stumbled in
"hey hey hye Rose! Whats the crack in Straiu-Jacket club land?" he said winking at her
"Shh... no= one knows about our little club.."

Natalie gave Matt a look of welcome and humored his joke, smiling, though not laughing.

"Hallo Matthew," Holly said, "Yo Nat man."

"Yo Hol dude," said Natalie, grinning at Holly.

Matthew raised his eyebrow at the girls, they were a little over powering

Holly grinned back.
"So, wheres the birthday girl?" she asked.

"Getting into her straight jacket probibly.." he told Holly

Natalie grinned at Matthew.

Matthew nodded at her
"Are you okay?" he asked hinting to her neck...

"What?" Natalie asked, as she had been daydreaming.

"Fair enough," Holly said, one eyebrow raised, "Hows it goin Matt?"

Matt nodded in her direction
"Its going well yeah you?" he asked her

Natalie looked at Holly expectantly.

Matthew smiled
"Okay then.. were is she?" he asked the girls looking about the room...

Holly shrugged and gave Natalie a quizzical look.
"What?" she asked her.

Matthew raised an eyebrow, clearly confused

"I dunno...it looked as though you were about to speak," said NAtalie, shrugging.

Matthew shook his head, he was now clearly very confused

"Never mind," said Natalie, looking at the floor.

Matthew nodded, thinking it was better that way...

It was better that way...don't just think it...it is...

Matthew walked around the room, thinking of where he set his present for Rose

Natalie sat down on a bed gracefully.

Mathew found where he'd set the parcel and lifted it. Making a mental note not to let it out of his sight again...

"Can that present be from both of us Matt?" Holly asked, "I dunno where my present for her is...."
She shook her head apologetically.
"Never mind thats rude," she said.

"Nah, I don't mind.." Matt said shrugging

"Aw man you sure?" Holly said thankfully, "Dude, I love ya man."

Rose returned from behind the closet. "Found the devil", she said as she dragged her demonic cat out of it's hiding. It quickly hissed and darted under the bed. "Oh, rats...."

The little Huffie girls noticed a few more presents before her. She looked up and spotted Matthew and Holly. "Hey guys!" She hugged Mat around the neck, and smiled happily at Holly. "Thanks for um, coming."

Matthew smiled at her,
"here thats from me and Holly..." he said winking at Holly.
He knew she'd like the straight Jacket he'd bought her

"Aw, you shouldn't have.." Rose blushed. "You guys are all to kind."

Holly winked at Matthew.
"Yeah Happy birthday!" Holly said and squeezed Matthew's hand gratefully.

Natalie grinned.

"I got you this," said Natalie, handing her a package which contained a necklace, which held a charm to protect the wearer.

Holly looked at it interestedly.

Natalie grinned at Rose.

"Open it," she said.

"OPEN IT!" Holly whined, "I WANNA SEE THE NECKLACE THAT HOLDS A CHARM TO PROTECT THE HOLDER!"
She stopped.
"Oops."
