Rose's 17th -Time to Party

Rose walked into the dorm, frowning. Streamers everywhere, the whole place littered with decorations. Rose looked around to see if anyone was there. "Hello? Did you do this, Skie? I told you not too...." Rose sat her books down on the bed and noticed a small piece of paper. She picked it up and read it.

"For those wonderus friends of Rosalie Vain, come join the Birthday fun at her dorm tonight."

"Where are you from?" Holly asked interestedly.

"Japan."

"Oooh," Holly said, "I didnt know that!"

"Oh, really? Well, you do now!" Rose chuckled.

"Cool," said NAtalie, grinning.

"Did you know that?" Holly asked Natalie.

"No...." said Natalie, "I didn't...I do now though."
Natalie put a blood pop in her mouth.
"I needed that," she muttered.

Rose shivered. "Ewww..."

Natalie grinned at Rose.
"Relax...it could be worse.." she said.
She grinned silently.

"Its gross isnt it?" Holly asked Rose, retching, "Makes me ill Nat...."

Rose smiled. "I'd rather have beef jerky."

"Well," I need it...I can't really eat anything else...." said Natalie.
Which proved that not all vampires are killers.

Rose nodded. "Ok, still think it's gross though..." Shrugging, Rose got another piece of cake.

Holly snorted.
"Hear hear," she agreed, "I like slushies....and I lilke cake. Mm cake..."
She grinned.

Natalie smiled slightly.
She finished her blood pop.

Holly retched.
"Throw it away yeah?" she asked, "Its creeping me out...."

Natalie threw the stick down a well.

"What was that aboout?"
Holly asked looking at the well.

"I CANT SEE!"
Holly opened her eyes.
"Oh, never mind..."

Natalie grinned at this.
"That was funny," she commented.

Holly grinned.
"Im quite silly sometimes."
She prepared for her party trick and took something out of her mouth.
"OH LOOK! ITS HOLLYS TEETH!"

Natalie laughed and grinned.
"Great trick," she grinned.

Rose's eyebrow raised and she paused in mid-bight. "What the...?!"

"Dont ask," Holly said. SHe put her teeth back in. "Long story."
She laughed.
"So Nat, whats the happenings?"

"Not much at all....what about you?" Natalie asked Holly.
She smiled.

Matthew looked at Holly
"How many times are you going to say that today?" he asked her with a raised eyebrow. He was clearly getting bored of the conversations going on.

"I dunno," Holly mumbled, "I dunno what else to say.......hey....whats that?"
She pointed out the window where a shadowy figure had just appeared.

Matthew looked around
"what?" he asked Holly "i don't see anything.."

"THAT!" Holly yelled pointing to the window. There was a moment of silence and then a deafening crash as something bounded in through the window.
Holly yelped and grabbed Natalie and Matt, dragging them around a safe corner.

"Okay Holly, what did you do now? Amit to it then its easier for us to lie with you.." he told her reasonibly

"I didnt do anything!" Holly said bewildered poking her head out from the safety, "I dunno what that is.....it looks like some kind of .... colossal creature!!"

"Meh, we'll live.." Matthew sighed and walked out into the darkness "Come one he might come in peace.."

"Come in peace?" Holly repeated standing, "I doubt it."
The creature (a half bird half horse) looked at them for a moment and then snapped its jaws.

"You don't understand..." said Natalie to Matthew, running to the window.
She looked out.
And there it was....a huge beast, about 20 feet tall.

"oh maybe not... okay run!" Matthew yelled changing his mond at the sight of the creature, he hated birds and horses so this wasn't a fun event.

Natalie took out her wand.
"Impedimenta!" Natalie yelled, and the beast stopped in it's tracks.

Holly nodded earnestly and ran after Matthew.
"What if it kills me?" she yelled.

"Natalie!" Matthew moaned"That's only gona make him more angry when he unfreezes!" Groaning was matthews favourite past time, but he knew he was right this time.

"What is?" Holly asked stupidly, "I dont geddit, explain to me using a detailed diagram with colour and labels please."

"I don't care....you two go...I'll hold it off!" yelled Natalie.

"tuh! Leave you witha big monster like that Natalie, I know your already dead, but do you have a death wish?" he asked her raising an eyebrow at her.

Rose ran over to them, turning the music off. "Hey, whats going on?!"

"big... Bird thing, over there.." Matthew pointed to it a terrified look on his already screwed up face.

Rose blinked. "Um, big bird thing...ok...I can live with that..."

"You sure?" Holly asked sceptically, "Its pretty big...and its really ugly...."

"horse bird thing.." Matthew corrected Rose "Big horsae bord thing..."

"Weird thing," Holly added, "It scares me cause I dont like birds....I think we should like....send it off somewhere. Ideas Matt?"

Rose blinked, still confused. What? "Ahhhhh...." was all she could say.

Holly grabbed Rose from the open and threw a scared look at the beast.
"We should all stay here," she said, indicating behind the food table.
