Weekend Wanderings

Clafin woke up and looked out the window.
It was a bright sunny day.
Exactly the kind of day she needed.
She quickly got dressed and rushed out of the Gryffindor Common Room.
Once outside she found her way to the her favorite tree,
and started soaking in the sunlight.

Evanna walked down on the school grounds and saw a girl sitting alone under a tree. She walked over and said, "Hi, I'm Evanna, 6th year Ravie. Can I sit with you?"

Luke mumbled under his breath as he made his way outside. Looking around, he saw a girl sitting by herself and walked over to. "You are in my spot." he said.

Clafin opened her eyes to see a boy standing in front of her. "Oh, well maybe you've just been in my spot while I was away." she looked at him for a moment then stood up. "Hello! Im Clafin Potter." she said as she stuck out her hand.

"I think I have been here longer then you, Ms. Potter." He told her, a slight glare on his face.

Realizing that he didn't understand the joke, she quickly covered for herself. "Now now, there's no need to have attitude." she said the a large grin.

"Hm...." Luke said, looking her up and down. "I dont take a liking to jokes..." he told her, crossing his arms.

"Well no your just being plain rude." she said with an upset face. "I didnt do anything to deserve your harshness, unless you count sitting beneath a tree as a great offense?"



*Im going to the lake now, but Ill be back on later tonight (:*

"YOu happen to be sitting near my....terrioty darling." He told her, taking a step towards her. He placed both hands on either side of her head, trapping her between him and the tree.

She thought for a moment and looked into his eyes intensely. "..And what exactly does this territory of yours claim?" she asked with a smirk.

Luke didnt reply but let his hands slide down the tree some. "Watch love, you dont want that smirk to be there forever do you?" He asked, taking a step forward closer to her.

Clafin giggle quietly to herself. "Is that a threat" The boy stepped closer. "...or an invitation?" she asked slyly.

"Neither." He told her, moving one of his hands and grabbing her chin softly. He turned her head some before letting ehr go.

She quickly asked him, "Well since this is your territory and all, would you like me to move..." she curtsied , "your Highness?"

"No...you can stay." he told her before jumping up and catch a limb.

"Why thank you" she said sincerely looking up at his face. "You know, you still haven't introduced yourself..." she stated hopefully. Of course she already knew who he was. She just liked to be difficult.

Luke flipped back on the branch, looking down at her. "Luke Breson." he told her.

"Luke..." she murmered to herself.

"Yes...Clafin..." He said, testing her name on his tongue. He liked the way her name rolled from his tongue and he shivered slightly, pulling himself up.

"So..erm, well Luke, I say you should tell me about yourself." she said cautiously.

"How about I not and say I did?" he asked her.

"Well then that would take all of the fun out of this little run-in, now wouldn't it?" she said as she looked up and grinned.

"Ok....lets see...." He mumbled, not sure what to tell her.

Clafin impatiently waited for his response, practically shaking with curiosity.

"Well...I'm a werewolf?" he said, shrugging. He jumped down from the tree, landing infront of her.

"Really?" she asked in wonder as he leaped in front of her.

"Of course." He told her, taking another step towards her.

"Well then," she said as she took a step closer to him. "I should be glad that there isn't a full moon for weeks." She flashed a smile at him hoping it would dazzle him. She's practiced it everyday for weeks in the mirror so she decided to try it out in person.

"Lucky you huh..." he said to her, eyebrow raised when she smiled at him. "Trying to seduce me?" He asked her jokingly before sitting down.

"Me try to seduce?" she managed to say before throwing herself to the ground in a laughing fit.

Luke smiled, leaning back on the tree. "Nice to see someone laugh..." He said softly.

Clafin inched over to Luke and pinched his cheek. "Maybe you should give it a try Mr. Grumpy Pants." she suggested. Instead of pulling her hand away, she let it rest on his face for a moment. She looked into his eyes.

"Keep that up and I may not laugh at all..." he told her, leaning into her touch.

She looked at him for a second with disappointment darkening her face. She dropped her hand to his lap. "Keep what up?" she said as naive as possible with out cracking a smile.

Luke shook his head, standing up. "Nothing." he said.

"You know, I dont think your as tough as you put off." she blurted out. She was even suprised at herself.

"No one ever said I was tought, beautiful." he said, jumping in the tree again.

"Then, why are you putting yourself off that way?" she asked quietly. She stood up and started pushing her right foot around in the grass.

"Maybe because I like something I cant have?" he asked her, climbing the tree.

"Oh yea, and may I ask what that is?" she asked curiously.

"Ask no question, I tell no lies." Luke told her.

"Luke Benson, you confuse me" she said sounding obviously irritated.

LUke smiled but said nothing. He jumped back down from the tree, landing infront of her.

He jumped back down in front of her. Startled she asked "Do you ever sit still?"

"Nope." he told her, picking her up.

Clafin screamed in a rush of awe as Luke picked her up. "What are you doing?" she asked calmly.

"Picking you up." he said, sitting down on the ground and holding her in his lap.

She giggled at his obvious reply. "Well, thanks for clarifying that one." she said softly as she pressed her cheek onto his shoulder.

Luke smiled at her, laying his head aginst her.

Clafin couldn't believe everything that had just happened. She went from secretly crushing on this werewolf since her arrival at Hogwarts, to sitting in his lap in just a matter of hours. She smiled to herself and began humming.
