Weekend Wanderings

Clafin woke up and looked out the window.
It was a bright sunny day.
Exactly the kind of day she needed.
She quickly got dressed and rushed out of the Gryffindor Common Room.
Once outside she found her way to the her favorite tree,
and started soaking in the sunlight.

Luke laughed at her, shaking his head. "You are a weird on, Clafin." He told her softly.

Clafin looked up at Luke. "Why thank you." she replied as she bent over awkwardly curtsying while still sitting.

Luke laughed again, walking into the room and sitting down on a green pillow.

"Hey Luke?" Clafin asked cautiously as she scooted towards him.

"Yes, Clafin?" He asked her, looking over at her.

"What do you think about..." she started as she moved even closer.

Luke looked down at her, before asking. "What do you mean?"

"when your alone." she finished. Her voice cracking on the last word.

"I think about rather or not life is worth living." he told her.

Clafin looked at him with her face horror stricken. He cant possibly mean that. she thought to herself. Clafin remained silent.

Luke played with the edge of the pillow he was sitting at, not sure of what to say.

Clafin put her arms out and hugged him softly as a tear crept down her cheek.

"Hey..why are you crying?" He asked her softly.

Clafin looked up at him, wiping away her tears. "Why would you think something like that?" she asked

"Because I really dont have much to live for...except maybe you now." He told her, looking away.

Clafin blushed at his response. "Im sure you have something..." she said softly.

"No, I dont." He told her, shrugging.

Clafin raised an eyebrow at him, but said nothing.

"What?" He asked her, eyebrow raised.

"Nothing" she whispered as she pulled away from him.

LUke sighed, laying back on the pillows.

Clafin pushed some hair out of her hair as she laid her head down on his lap. She looked up at him and smiled.

"You go from crying to smiling...are you bi polar?" He asked her, jokingly.

"No" clafin giggled as she flicked his stomach. "I was just thinking about what you said."

Luke nodded, smiling a bit down at her.

"So.." she started, but didn't finish for a loss of words.

"So...so?" He asked her, not sure of what to talk about.

"Whats it like? Being a werewolf?" she asked cautiously.

"Boring...just like a human...with doggie needs." He said, nodding.

Clafin giggled at his reply. "Doggy needs?" she asked curiously.

"Belly rubs, food, water...stuff like that." he told her.

She giggled at the first answer. Awwww! That is the cutest thing ever. she tought to herself as her cheeks burnt with embarrassment.

"And she giggles!" he said, smiling down at her.

Clafin looked up at him trying her hardest to stop blushing.

"You look cute when you blush..:" he told her softly, laying his hand on her cheek.

"Well, your just good at making me blush" she stated in matter-of-fact sort of manner. "So, Im going to have a Birthday party." she started to say as she trailed off.

"Really? When?" He asked her, running his thumb lightly over her lips.

Clafin was almost shaking from being nervous. "Well, uh Im not quite sure yet, but I'd really like for you to come" she said. Then looked up at him and cautiously said, "...but I have to warn you." she started

He was about to say yes until she said she had to warn him. Of what? "Um...why?" He asked her softly.

"Well, erm...um. What I'm trying to say is...Agh! Just ask Violet with your little mind thingy majig." she said abruptly.

Luke looked down at her confused. "What am I asking Violet..." he asked her.

"Sinister" she replied. "I dont know why but he seemed upset. Ugh, Violet probably knows more than I." she said quickly trying to get it all out.

Luke stopped what he was doing but nodded, letting his mind find Violet.

She looked up at him as his face concentrated.

After talking to Violet for a few seconds, he felt a soft growl rise in him. "That...no...I..." He started before looking down at her.

She reached up, let her palm rest gently on his cheek before a moment, and kissed him.

LUke kissed her back for a few seconds before pulling back. "I care for you Clafin..." he told her softly.

Clafin felt the blood in her cheeks once again. "Well, your not to shabby." she said through a giggle as she let herself drop back into his lap.

Luke smiled at her, letting his hand play with her hair.

"So, will you come?" she asked quietly.
