Weekend Wanderings

Clafin woke up and looked out the window.
It was a bright sunny day.
Exactly the kind of day she needed.
She quickly got dressed and rushed out of the Gryffindor Common Room.
Once outside she found her way to the her favorite tree,
and started soaking in the sunlight.

Luke tapped his fingers against the table for a while until what he wanted appeared infront of him.

Clafin looked around the kitchen some more. She was in awe of everything happening around her.

When the elf bought Clafin what she had wanted, Luke started eating his. "Hows it feel to be a Potter?" He asked her.

Clafin digged into her slice of chocolate cake. She looked up at Luke when he asked her a question that seemed odd to her. "What do you mean?" she asked quietly

"Surely you have everyone in the wizarding world wanting to know about your uncle." he told her.

"Well, yea. It can get annoying sometimes, but I mean he's my uncle. That's all Ive really known him as. When I was younger, my parents were um...well they had to be hospitalized at St. Mungos, and I went to live with him and Aunt Ginny for about a year. When my parents got out, I went back to live with them. Then well...yea." Clafin cut herself off. She didnt want to think about her parents. "I've lived by myself since then. I mean reporters come by less often, as the years go by, but I deal with it."

Luke nodded, taking in what she said. "I would say I know how that feels...but I really dont." he told her.

Clafin felt somewhat uncomfortable. She had never really talked to anyone about her parents, and even coming close to the topic had her feeling unnerved. Clafin looked up and flashed her smile but said nothing.

"Whats wrong?" He asked her softly, not wanting her to feel sad.

"Nothing." she quickly replied through a forced grin.

Luke didnt believe her but nodded

"would you like some of my cake?" she offered to change the subject.

"Oh...sure." he said, reached over and pulling off a small peice.

She grinned at him as he ate the cake.

"Hmm...chocolate. I prefer lemon though." He told her.

"Lemon? Really?" she asked. "I cant stand it! Its just weird to me because I love how sour real lemons are."

Luke laughed, nodding. "I like sour lemons too." he told her.

"You know, its getting kind of late..." she said softly.

Luke looked suprised but nodding, standing up. "Night then.." He mumbled, walking from the kitchen.

Clafin looked up surprised as Luke left the room. She scurried after him. His legs were much longer than hers though so she couldnt catch up. "Wait up!" she called towards him.

Luke stopped, turning around to face her. "You said it was late,." He told her.

"That doesnt mean I want you to go" she said softly as she pulled his hand toward her.

Luke nodded, letting his hand settled in hers.

She got up on her tiptoes and kissed his cheek.

Luke smiled, turning his head at the last second and kissing her on the lips.

Clafin dropped back on her feet and looked at the floor. Color rising to her cheeks once again.

Luke laughed softly again, pulling her down the hall with him.

"Where are we going?" she asked curiously as she looked up at his face.

"I dont know." he told her, going up the stairs.

"Hmmm, alrighty then." she said slowly as she remained looking up at him.

"Have you been to the ROR?" He asked her.

"The Room of Requirments? Oh yes, well only for mee-" she cut herself of. Had she said to much? "...Meeting up with some of my favorite fictional characters. I like to make them come alive, you know...off the pages." She finished quickly with confidence not knowing if he'd buy it.

Luke raised an eyebrow but didnt say anything.

Clafin looked up at Luke with a grin as he looked at her in suspision. "Anyways" she said, letting the s drag on. "What about it?"

"I was going to take you there...but it seems you already found.." he told her.

Clafin waited for him to finish, but when he didn't she softly asked, "Found what?"

"Sorry....heard something." He mumbled, looking over at her.

Clafin remained silent but raised an eyebrow at him. Heard something? "Is someone following us?" she whispered as quietly as she possibly could.

LUke shook his head. "Maybe just another student on another floor." he told her.

"Another floor? How could you possib-" she cut herself of as she remember what he was. "Oh yea..." she finished. "Well, I'd still like to go." she said squeezong his hand softly.

Luke smiled and nodded, walking up some stairs towards the ROR.

She looked up at his face as his lips relaxed. Even though it was dark, his face was still dazzling. She followed him up the stairs.

Luke stopped infront of the wall after a few minutes of walking. He paces three times before hearing a pop and looked up at the door.

Clafin had been so distracted by Luke that she hadn't realized they'd already arrived. "Well, come on." she said as she pushed through the doors.

Luke nodded and followed her.

Clafin stopped and looked up at Luke.

"Well are you going?" He asked her, putting his hand on the small of her back and pushing her forward.

Clafin jumped at his touch. She closed her eyes and walked forward. She didnt want to see the room.

Luke had made the room appear to be cozy and inviting with nice cushion pillows to sit on and a book case in the corner. He just walked to either sit and talk or atleast read some.

Clafin slowly peaked open her left eye and skipped to a big purple pillow. She sat down and pushed some hair out of her face.
