Oddie walked into her classroom and looked around only to see that it was empty. Well duh, she thought to herself. None of her students would come to class too early she was sure of that. They were all probably gathered out in the halls talking to each other and wouldn't head to class until the last few minutes before the bell rang for the start of class. Oddie was expecting to see her son be the last one to ealk into the classroom. He was always late and now that he was a vampire she was sure he would wait until the last few seconds and run to class with his super human speed. Oddie chuckeled to herself as she thought about her son racing down the halls.

Oddie walked over to her desk and placed a few papers in one of the drawers in her desk. She would attent to them later but for now she had to get ready for a class she was about to have. Oddie looked beside her desk and saw that the elves had brought her what she had asked for. It was a boix with some freash meat in it. Without it she would not get the threstals to appear and to show to her class, well to the few who could see them. Oddie was going to have to ask a few of her students to carry the bos down to the grounds where she planned on having her class. She could just carry it herself but maybe if some of the student volentered she would give them bonus points or something.

"I'll agree with you because I have no clue what time it is right now." Mathew chuckled a little. He wanted to lighten the mood. "Maybe we should head back to the castle so we're not late for out class. We don't want to upset the Professors. I don't need to recieve anymore detentions." Mathew laughed. Detentions never bothered him for if they did he would stop being so mischievous.

Alice giggled.
"Good point you already got extra for your daily quote by the fireworks." she said with a sarcastic smile. Alice grabbed his hand so it was intertwined with hers.

"Why is the forbidden forest called that when everyone stopped listening to that rule about ten years ago?" she asked thinking about all the kids she meets out in the forest when she is taking a stroll no one follows the rules anymore not even the Gryffindor. And yet everyone had a reason for why they were out there so if they got caught they would have an excuse.

"Well I know when the old Care of Magical Creatures was here teaching he just let the animals roam free whereever they wanted in the forest so it was dangerous. However when mom became the teacher she set up boundaries and spells so that certain creatures stayed at certain spots. The most dangerous are in the back where no one will ever run into them and the least dangerous are up front. I want to someday go to the very back of the forrest and see whats back there." Mathew said. "I do think however that since mom put up the boundaries that the Headmaster and the Professors don't care about that rule as much as they did before."

Alice shook her head.
"Of Corse you want to go to the back of the forest and see what dangerous creatures live back there of Corse you of all people want to go see what would happen if you came in contact with a dangerous animals." she said rolling her eyes though she found the barriers a bit primitive like a zoo enclosed to a certain area the only difference is this was for safety and not for amusement.
"I sure hope you never go back there boy maybe in another hundred years I will let you." she said with a smile starting to walk back towards the castle.

Mathew followed Alice as they faced the direction where the castle was.

"I would be fine" Mathew said. "I could take on a basilisk." he added laughing trying to picture himself taking on a giant snake. Than an idea hit him. "We should go and try to find the camber of secrets. Mom said she was in it before. I bet we could find it. She even said there was rumored to be a giant snake in there!" Mathew grew excited at the thought of finding a snake, perhaps even a basilisk. He knew that Alice wouldn't approve

"WHAT!?" she asked shocked by this, what was he thinking.
"Have you completely lost your mind that is totally mental?" Alice said hitting her palm against her forehead she hated this idea and she hated all of this why was he so interested in dangerous activities.
"What is with you and danger...? I used to think it followed you but I think you follow It." she explained with a slight giggle.
"Adrenaline junkie." she said quietly to herself why all of a sudden did he want to get himself killed.
"If you want to go looking for it I will come but I don't think it's a good idea just take a second to realize what you said... Oh there is a giant snake in the castle which is connected to some slytherenen evil stuff lets goes find it and poke it with a stick, you sound like the flipping crocodile hunter." she said rolling her eyes slightly but still smiling.

Mathew chuckled. He knew Alice would act like she was now.

"Alice calm down." he laughed. "Mom also said that the snake was killed down there. It's just empty. So if we did find the chambers all we would find would be the snakes skeleton but mom said something about the headmaster having it removed so it didn't stink up the school."

Alice rolled her eyes.
"You couldn't get down there I thought you had to speak parsle tongue or something like that to get in to it?" she asked thinking she herd that somewhere or maybe it was just a rumor but snake or not the idea of Mathew going into the chamber sent chills down her spine. She thought about it was it possible that they removed the chamber how would they do that without anyone knowing though? She wondered waiting to see what Mathew had to say.

"Yea" Mathew agreed. He knew they had to say the word open in parseltounge in order to get in. Mathew had never spoken Parseltounge before but he knew him mom could do it. "Mom can speak it! I wounder if we could trick her into letting us in." Mathew knew what his mother would say even before he asked her. She would probably act how Alice was now. "Oh well. I guess I could still try to get to the back of the forest." he laughed.

Alice shook her head.
"You are just asking for something bad to happen be you?" she stated playfully though she was worried that he would attempt to even go into the chamber or to the back of the forest where all of the worst creatures lie.
"Mathew please don't pretty please don't try either of those options and tell I am in the ground dead." she said not wanting to see him go after something so dangerous.
"Why can't you just go cliff diving to get an adrenaline rush?" Alice asked with a kind smile.

Mathew laughed. "Cliff diving would be fun! We should go do that sometime." Than he noticed that Alice looked worried. "Don't worry Alice." Mathew said. "I won't go and do something stupid that will end up killing me. I won't go looking for the chamber and I won't go looking for dangerous creatures in the forest. However if they find me that's a different story." he joked.

Alice laughed.
"Ok if you say so and I know the perfect place to go cliff diving." she said with a smile once or twice when she was younger she had gone down to this spot and cliff dove just for the fun of it she was quite good because she could cliff dive whenever because hitting her head against a rock would break the rock and not her head.
"And you better not or I will have a heart attack." Alice said referring to the going and doing something stupid. She kissed him on the cheek.
"I love you." she stated sweetly.

"I love you too Alice" Mathew said smiling. Now Mathew could hear in the distance the bell ringing. "It's getting late. If we don't get to the castle soon we might not be able to get in at all." he added. It wouldn't bother him if they locked the doors to the Great Hall. Mathew knew of other ways of getting into the castle without the Professors knowing.

"Well let’s start running speedy." she said sprinting off grabbing his arm dragging him along behind her. He would be in front of her soon he was younger and thus faster than she was. She could faintly hear everyone scramble in all sorts of directions
"Better hurry don't want to cause more drama do we?" she asked with a wicked smile she knew Mathew had ways of getting into the castle but this would take not only more energy and more work which she wasn't in the mood for.

Mathew smiled and picked up his pace. In no time he was running ahead of Alice but slowed down a bit to let her catch up.

"You're the one who needs to hurry up" Mathew said jokingly. He grabbed Alice hand to help her catch up as he started to run a little faster but not much faster than Alice. Soon the castle doors appeared ahead of them and they made it into the castle two minuets before the doors were to be locked.

"Good thing we made it otherwise we would have to sneak through one of the tunnels" Mathew laughed as he slowed down to a walk

Alice followed after him.
"I liked this lot better when I was faster than you." she joked as he remained ahead of her and the entered the castle.

"Good thing or we could have just jumped over the gates you know." she said looking back it wasn't to high if they got a running start they would have been able to pull that off.

"I didn't think of that." Mathew said with a chuckle. At times he forgot how easy it was to enter the castle when you were a vampire so long as the Headmaster didn't have up protective charms against it. He walked down the corridor with Alice and saw that the halls were almost completely empty except for them two. The students were all either doing their homework for the night or getting ready for sleep. Mathew knew he would have to start his homework but he had all night unlike the other students.

"So you wanna head to the common room or do you have something else planned?" Mathew asked Alice

"Ya not used to how easy it is to get places huh?" she asked though she found it odd that it was so easy there had to be more behind it then she knew but wasn't going to try and figure it out.

"What if I said my plan was going to the common room then what would you say?" she asked knowing he really didn't care what was going on at this exact moment. Alice smiled waiting for his response to both her remarks.

"Nope." Mathew responed to her first question. "I usually take the tunnels. I have to go to Hogsmead and... well it's complicated but I can get into the school." he laughed remembering the one time he was locked out of the castle. He was certain he could have knocked on the doors and got in but he didn't need another detention at the time.

"Umm.. I would say what do you plan on doing in the common room than? Homework?" he asked laughing a little. Even though he was in Ravenclaw he didn't like doing homework at all.

"I think I plan on something a bit more interesting then homework... though you should get yours done eventually before you forget... but I think we could relax tonight instead of worrying about that." she said thoughts buzzing through her head as she tried to organize them. Her head throbbed but this was a normal feeling and was coming more and more often but she figured it was just because of all the stress around her at the moment.
"Come on you will see soon enough." Alice said grabbing his hand and pulling him towards the stairs.

Mathew beamed back. "Don't worry I'll have it done. If not I can pull an all nighter. I don't need the sleep." he chuckled. Alice grabbed his hand and said "Come on you will see soon enough." Mathew followed behind her right up the stairs and towards the dormitories.

Oddie rushed down to her classroom knowing that she might be a little late. She had to run outside and check on some animals before class started. At times Oddie wished that her classroom was outside. It would make teaching so much easier for her than having to rush downstairs and back up after almost all of her classes. She knew she would have to ask the headmaster about changing the classroom location. Oddie looked down at her watch as she rush down the first floor corridor

Alice is always on time its how she is even if she is running late she is always on time. Now this may just be because she has super speed and can run to catch up but she tries no to use that as an advantage over anyone. Only today she was running late, more then usual I would say. So considering you can't apperate inside the school (if they could no one would ever be tardy to a class except the younger ones.) she was bolting down the corridors down the stairs down the halls etcetera. Now she could have been going faster but she didn't want to run into anyone which was a habit of hers so she slowed down when she was indoors to make sure she didn't run over any first years that would be confused by her in the first place. To be honest Alice wasn't that observant and by the time she had bother to look around her again she had been an inch away from her professor and her boyfriend’s mother which wasn't a good idea to run into her so she tried to slow down but there really isn't much you could have done at that point.

Oddie was making her way into the classroom looking forward to teaching that day. Just as she was about to walk through the door something came and rammed into her side. She tumbled a little but the impact wasn't great enough to knock her off of her feet. Looking over she saw that it was Alice who had collided into her. Oddie started to look around for Mathew who was usually with Alice but at the moment he wasn't. Surely he wasn't in class already. He was always walking through the door just as the bell was ringing.

"Alice. I'm glad that you like class so much you had to run here but please do be careful. There's still a little while until the bell rings." Looking at her watch Oddie saw that they had half of a minute left. She stepped away from the door to let Alice enter and just than Mathew appeared around the corner. Oddie gave him a slight frown. Sure enough just as the bell was ringing he was walking through the door. There was nothing she could really do so long as he made it to class on time. So long as he was in the classroom when the bell rang she couldn't say much.

Oddie took her place at the front of the class and looked down at her students. There were a few empty seats of those students who were sick or just felt like skipping. She ignored it. If they didn't want to come to class than they would have to suffer the consequences. Mathew was at the moment pulling out all of his books trying to find his Care of Magical Creatures book amongst the mess and beside him was Alice.

"Hello Class. Today we will be talking about Billywigs." she said

"Sorry." she apologized to Oddie with a slight giggle in her voice. She laughed when she was embarrassed as she said so Mathew appeared around the corner.
"Slow poke." she mumbled to him playfully taking his hand they had just walked inside when the bell rang and sat next to each other. Mathew was digging through his mess of school work it drove her crazy how he could manage to not know where everything was especially when they had magic to help them one simple spell could organize it just one simple spell and yet that’s how everything ended up.

Just summon it. she told him all he had to do was say accio but she doubted his mother and there professor would appreciate that and would probably end up with some form of punishment for using magic because you weren't prepared or something like that. Alice turned her attention to the front just in time to hear that they were going to be learning about billywigs whatever those where. Now she was a smart girl that’s why she was in ravenclaw but care of magical creatures where never her thing. It just never interested her now potions that is a different story.

That's a good idea. Why didn't I think of that before Mathew said as he dug around in his pockets for his wand. He pulled it out and whispered "Accio Care of Magical Creatures book." and the book flew out and landed into his lap. Mathew looked around expecting his mother to say something but she continued on teaching class.

"Now does anyone know what a Billywig is?" Oddie said walking over to teh board beside her desk and drawing a picture on it that looked like a top with a weird fan top. Oddie walked away from the board and looked around the class. No one seemed to raise their hand.

"Well they are found in Australia so you need not worry about running into one of these creatures here. They are a sapphire color. Now if they are a sapphire creature flying around you would think that muggles would notice them but they don't. Anyone know why muggles rarely see this creature?" Oddie asked her class once again.

"Cause they have magical spells on them?" Mathew asked. Most things hidden by muggles are charmed to be that way.

"No not by magic. Any ideas?" Oddie asked looking around the class

"Because of their speed." Alice chimed in to respond to Oddies question.
"The propellers on the top of it spin it so fast that muggles won’t notice it until they have been stung by its long thin stinger." She finished cutting herself off or she would have gone into detail about what happens when you’re stung by it and what potions it is a crucial part of and blah. Now truth be told she did only know about these from potions but she wasn't going to blurt that part out. That and well she was a Lovegood even if not by blood she was and her adoptive father liked to use them for many different uses... she never listened to why of course but she knew just a bit about them.

Find your book? She asked sarcastically looking down at the book that laid on his lap now. She reached for his hand to take it into hers.

"Correct" Oddie said looking at the rest of the class who seemed like they wanted nothing better to do than just sleep. She returned to the chalk board and wrote down the key things they had just talked about. She knew students would only take notes if she wrote it on the board. Oddie turned back to her class and saw that mathew had finally found his book and it was now sitting on his desk open on the wrong page.

"Now once someone is stung by this creature what are the effects of the sting?" Oddie asked the class are large. She picked her wand up off of her desk and with a flick Mathew's book turned to the right page. Mathew cried out in shock and the class started to laugh a little.

"I wasn't expecting that" Mathew muttered under his breath. He looked down at the book and saw there in the side was a list of effects of a Billywig sting. "Umm.. Giddiness, leviatation or even an allergic reaction."

"Very good. Now for this class I want you all to draw a picture of a Billywig and label the major parts. You have half an hour to do it." Oddie said watching as her students all piled into groups. Oddie started walking around the class seeing if anyone needed her help.

"So you know the major parts of a Billywig?" Mathew asked Alice pulling out some paper for her and him to use.

Alice giggled as Mathew shrieked as his mom flicked her wand and the pages flipped. she squeezed his hand, he used to blush beat red and she looked over to see if he did but there wasn't a chance in the world that he was going to now. Mathew asked her if she knew the major parts of the Billy wig but she had no clue.

"Kinda to be honest I only know about the stinger." she said looking through her book and flipping to the right page. She skimmed through it rather fast she had always been a speed reader which helped her in school but something’s you shouldn't skim.

"How do you not know this your mom is the teacher you think you would know like every word of the book memorized." she told him softly watching the groups in the room form and each clique start talking.

Mathew looked down at his book staring right at the picture of the creature in front of him. It looked ugly in his opinion. He was staring at the picture wondering what all was suppose to be labeled on here.

"Well I guess the stinger would be one major part." Mathew said as he started to draw the Billywig. It looked very crude but one could tell it was some animal with a stinger. Mathew drew a line pointing at the stinger and wrote stinger right beside it. "There we got one down."

Alice than said about how he should have every book memorized and he chuckled. He did like reading books but only the ones filled with action and drama. A Magical Creatures book just didn't seem to hold Mathew's attention.

"How about the wings on the top of it's head?" Mathew asked Alice. "I think we should label that too. I think that's about it. That's basically the whole bug." he laughed
