Oddie walked into her classroom and looked around only to see that it was empty. Well duh, she thought to herself. None of her students would come to class too early she was sure of that. They were all probably gathered out in the halls talking to each other and wouldn't head to class until the last few minutes before the bell rang for the start of class. Oddie was expecting to see her son be the last one to ealk into the classroom. He was always late and now that he was a vampire she was sure he would wait until the last few seconds and run to class with his super human speed. Oddie chuckeled to herself as she thought about her son racing down the halls.

Oddie walked over to her desk and placed a few papers in one of the drawers in her desk. She would attent to them later but for now she had to get ready for a class she was about to have. Oddie looked beside her desk and saw that the elves had brought her what she had asked for. It was a boix with some freash meat in it. Without it she would not get the threstals to appear and to show to her class, well to the few who could see them. Oddie was going to have to ask a few of her students to carry the bos down to the grounds where she planned on having her class. She could just carry it herself but maybe if some of the student volentered she would give them bonus points or something.

Mathew was just about to say "All I want is you" but then quickly stopped when Alice said not to. She just knew him too well and Mathew couldn't help to hide a grin. He wrapped his arms around Alice and pulled her closer to her saying "Well if you don't want me to go and spend that much on you then how much am I allowed to spend? This way we'll both get each other a gift that costs about the same amount. Would that work?" he asked her. He knew she would pick a low price to prevent him from getting her something expensive but he didn't care. No matter how much he could spend he was determined to find her the right present before Christmas.

"Fine." she said grinning as he pulled her close to him.
"20 to 50 dollars that a 30 dollar ranges I think that is good enough... And that counts with tax." She said looking up at him.
He is probably is going to find a way around that. she thought but didn’t feel like making it so he couldn’t find loopholes.
"You still haven’t told me what you wanted though." she said stubbornly. Alice looked around and the thresles were still generally near witch for some reason gave her happiness.
"How long till it starts to snow?" she asked loving the cold crisp air and wished it was more like that.

"Umm... 20-50 dollars." Mathew said trying to think of what he could buy her for that price. He wasn't sure, maybe a necklace? Naw I'll have to get her something better then that he thought but then was snapped away from his thoughts of the perfect present when Alice started speaking again, trying to get Mathew to say what he wanted.

Mathew looked down at Alice smiling, he knew his answer wouldn't be what she wanted. "All I want for Christmas is to spend time with you" he said not saying what he orginally would have said 'All I want for Christmas is you' because of what Alice had said before.

"Umm... I think it's suppose to snow in the nect few days." Mathew said looking at the sky but seeing that it was a clear day. It was cold enough for snow, it just needed to snow.

"Your not helping." she said looking at him slightly annoyed but couldn’t help but laugh by him. When he said stuff like that he meant it and this made her giggle just because it made her slightly giddy.
"If you don’t tell me I am getting you a pair of earrings and we both know you don’t want that." Alice said stubbornly she really needed him to tell her at least something to go off of.
"please just tell me something that isn’t all cute and sappy even if it makes me smile it would make me happier if I got you the perfect gift!" she insisted batting her eye lashes.
Why wont he just tell me something I mean he asks to spend time with me but there has to be something else in this world he wants. Alice thought waiting for his response.

"Well Alice if you really want to get me earrings try to get something that matches with my eyes" Mathew joked. He knew Alice was going to be annoyed by this soon but there wasn't too much he wanted now that he was with Alice. Alice was the love of his life and he wanted to spend an eternity with her, something that she had already given to him.

"Well if you really want me to tell you something let me just think." Mathew said standing there deep in thought for awhile. "Well maybe I could use a broom or something. Qudditch is a fun game but not when you ran run faster then what your broom can travel" he laughed.

"You know if you do a combination of spells on your broom you can get it to go faster than anyone can run including super human powers." she said to him. Although Mathew had said that would be nice she knew that is not what he really wanted.
"Ok your getting earrings." she joked and gave him an Eskimo kiss (rubbing noses together aka) Alice smiled and giggled softly.
"You know it's a real shame." she said in general trying to see what Mathew would say in response probably just asking what and being confused.
"Come on hustle up slow poke!" Alice teased pulling on his arm forward. She smiled and lsightly skipped with joy. she was abnormally happy for a reason.

Mathew grinned when Alice said that with the right spells she could make a broom travel faster then anyone, including someone with super human powers. Mathew was trying to picture that. If he had a broom like that he would be a blur to a few but most probably wouldn't be able to see him. It would make qudditch much more fun if he was playing agianst a whole bunch of others who had super human powers as well. "Having a broom that fast would be awesome!" he exclaimed. "But the earrings would be better" he added returning the eskimo kiss. Mathew smiled when Alice started giggling. He loved to hear her giggle, she was so cute and beatiful when she did.

"What would be a shame?" Mathew asked her a bit confused. He was thinking that she might have been talking about the earrings or maybe the broom but he wasn't sure if that's what she had ment. The next thing he knew it though, Alice was calling him a slow poke and he hurried along as Alice pulled on his arm. "Me a slow poke? Is that possible when I have super human speed?" he asked laughing.

"Earrings huh?" she asked almost sarcastically.
"Well fine on Christmas you can open a pair of earrings it's what every guy wants now days." she joked almost skipping about.
"And yes it is possible for you to be a slow poke because your being one right now!" she insisted.
"Now come on pick up the pace but not too much well I don't suppose it matters anymore there are more vampires here then wizards. But just in case not to fast... does that even make any sense?" she asked going through what she had just said and realized she barley understood it.
"ok forget what I just said ok." she said cutting out what she had said knowing it was confusing.

Mathew chuckled a little. He knew what Alice was saying perfectly even though she would seem to be speaking nonsensely to some. "Alice I understand. You are at least making sense to me. As for others I doubt they'd know what you're talking about" he chuckled as he followed walking beside her. He grabbed ahold of her hand once he had caught up. "Now if I continue walking slow all you have to do is drag me along" he laughed trying to picture it. It would be very comical for many to see.

Alice rolled her head.
"Ya if only it was that simple your too heavy for me to drag you." she said jokingly.
"I mean you know muscle weighs more than fat and as far as I am concerned you have more muscle then Arnold schwartsinager so that must add up to some weight right?" she asked smiling at him.
"What if I break my back or something.... can't you just walk faster... for me?" she asked batting her eye lashes flirtatiously. She tried slowing her pace down to his but she couldn’t stand such a slow moment.
"Come on there are tons of stuff to do and you’re just going to lolly gage around?" she asked wanting to do something for some reason.

Mathew chucled when Alice said about him wieghing so much because of his muscle. "Here I'll solve you're problem of having to walk so slow" Mathew said grinning. He walked up behind Alice and scooped her up into his arms and started to carry her down the corridor. "There now you don't have to worry about me walking so slowly." he chuckled. He knew Alice wasn't going to let him carry her for long.

"Mathew was not a couple back from their wedding crossing the threshold of their first house! Now put me down before people start staring." she protested though she liked him holding her she found it a bit ridiculous.
"Please put me down?" she said nicer so that he would let her walk. She batted her eye lashes though usually with him this didn’t get her any were. And knowing him he would probably keep carrying her just to bug her then she would give in last and he would set her down. Or at least that’s how it all worked out in Alice's head. She glanced about to see if anyone was looking at her funny it wouldn’t be that much of a surprise usually people looked at her funny.

Mathew had to stop himself from laughing when Alice said about how they weren't married and he wasn't carrying her across the threshold. "I know but this will be great pratice for when we do get married" he laughed carring her a little farther down the hall. He noticed there were a few other students looking thier way, some were giving them an annoyed look while others laughed but he didn't care too much about what they thought. After awhile Mathew placed her down onto the ground and said "I think I got enough pratice."

"Thank you." she stated sweetly kissing him on the cheek.
"So what’s next?" Alice asked curious to how the rest of this day will end up. She clasped his hand inside of hers and squeezed it slightly as she smiled up at him.
"Do you realize you are impossible to be mad at?" Alice stated with a crooked smile. She looked around at the people who were staring who were now going back to what they were doing or at least pretending to.
people now a days so shallow where is the joy in their lives? she wondered quietly to herself.

Mathew smiled down at Alice and said "That anti-angry charm I placed on you must be working." Mathew watched as a few of the students still cluttered in the corridors were quickly heading to class while many of them were heading for the Great Hall.

"Well we could go to the Great Hall along with everyone else and spend about half an hour in there watching others eat or we could go do something fun. I don't have class for another two hours." Mathew said as he releashed his hand from her grip and placed his arm around her shoulders. He then gently pushed her closer to his side. "We could go outside or head to the dorms unless you have something better planned. You pick."

Alice giggled at his joke at least she believed it was a joke she doubted that he would place a charm on her.
"Well as tempting it is to watch humans eat I must say it's not in my appetite today and dorms and outside might be included but you know I was thinking we have been out of practice in pranking for a while. Maybe we could come up with something mischievous to do for some fun." she suggested waiting for a. a crooked smile or b a slight laugh or c a complete idea and plan based off the little details she gave him.
"What do ya say in the mood for some harmless wizardly jokes?" she asked wondering if he would even want to but she didn't know him to ever give up a chance for this.

Mathew gave Alice a crooked grin and said "I would love to go pranking with you." He looked around the corridor trying to come up with a good idea. "Umm.. I think I have an idea. Just a few days ago I bought some joke items at the Weasley's store. I've been wanting to test them. We could test them out now if you want. We'll just have to go to my dorm and retrieve them. I have to keep them well hidden from Flich, he's always trying to find me with that stuff" Mathew laughed. "Or do you have something better planned?" Mathew asked

"You know I am not the evil genius in this group so I have no ideas... That sounds great." she said looking around chilantly.
Most couples take walks or picnics how boring I’m glad I have him or maybe I would be pulled into that stuff. Not that that not cool it's just what if that was all you did how annoying it would be nice to do stuff like that it's just I would rather enjoy his company while doing something adventurous and thrilling... Ok maybe doing pranks isn't the most exciting thing in the world but hey it’s ought to be more interesting than sitting around right. she thought for no particular reason.
“How on earth did you manage to smuggle weasley products in here?” Alice asked curious why she had never figured out this secret.
"Ok so let’s go." she stated not in any particular tone just a normal statement. Alice stared up into his eyes only because of her height. And smiled slightly out of pure glee. Today had been a pretty boring day and she was hoping this would stir things up a little.

Mathew lead the way to common room as Alice followed. As he made his way there he reached out for Alice's hand and cupped it into his. He looked down at her to answer the question she had just asked.

"Well it wasn't too easy. I had to buy this pouch that was magicked so that I could fit more into it then one would think. Then I just temporarly transfigured them into odd and boring things like a picture of some women, a pair of smelly shoes, that kind of stuff. I knew Flich would want to look at the pouch so I couldn't just throw them in there. Just as I thought when I was entering the school he found me and had to look through my pouch. All he found was the things I transfigured and he couldn't tell they were joke products." Mathew laughed as he continued on down the corridor and finally they were at the Ravenclaw Common Room.

"What gets wetter the more you dry it?" was the riddle that was asked. Mathew stood there for a moment lost in thought.

"Ummm... what could it be... possibly a towel?" Mathew asked out loud and knew he was correct for the entrance opened and he walked inside and headed to his room

"Your good at those riddles it take me forever to answer them and to be honest most of the time she lets me through because it's been a long time and only I can possibly not get them by that point." Alice said shaking her head. It didn't really make any sense she could get everything else in the world but riddles.
"Oh wow thats alot of work why didn't you just do the whole over the fence thing. You know some one holds it for you tell you are cleared then they toss it to you out of sight and then once there cleared you have your materials and no magic wasted." Alice explained with a smile fallowing after him.
"Um do you have a plan or is the plan make chaos randomly?" Alice asked lastly.

Mathew smiled and said "Well i must thank mom and her useless books she left all over the floor. there were a few riddle books that I had read. Some of them the door asks but with pratice over the year I was able to figure out a few."

Mathew walked up the stairs and into his dorm. he started to look through his trunk for that was where he kept everything he wanted to keep out of site. While he was digging around the items he addressed Alice's second comment saying "I didn't really think about that. Maybe next time I could give the over the fence thing a try. We'll be going to Hogesmead here soon and I'll have to restock up on some things"

Once he found the trick items he laid them out all over his bed covering almost his enter mattress. "Well my only plan would be to set off these tricksters and try not to get caught. I do have this one" he said picking up what looked like a rocket "you just set it on fire and let it go. It multiplies into about fifty firecrackers and for the first ten minuets they keep growing. After that they start to die out. The only thing is we'll have to set them off then get out of there quickly or we might getr caught." Mathew liked taking risks afterall and this seemed like a lot of fun. However if Alice didn't want to take the risk he wasn't going to talk her into it

"Oh that explains a lot." She said referring to his comment about being able to solve the riddles.
"I love fire crackers." Alice stated almost to herself quietly and out of the way. She had liked the idea of controlled fire, and how beautiful dangerous things could be when there focused on a specific thing.
"Hmm sounds like fun but there is a flaw in that if we have to get out of there right after we set them off then we won’t be able to see people’s reactions and the whole point of it. Instead of running why don't we stay around and just act like we were one of the students there who saw it and have no clue that set it off." She told Mathew with a devious smirk it wasn't a very good plan but either way there would be a chance of them getting caught but that is the whole point of pranks is the feeling of we shouldn't be doing this we might be caught.

"I think your idea is a lot better" Mathew laughed. "After all if we were to run away some professors might notice us and be able to put two and two together. If we stay then we can just act like we have no clue what's going on. At least we have a less likely chance of being caught."

Mathew looked down at his bed and at the rest of the joke merchedise he had. He then turned to Alice and said "Is there anything else you'd like to use. Don't worry about using all of my joke stuff up I have means of getting more" he laughed.

Alice giggled.
"That is supposing any teacher can put two and two together." Alice joked though it was partially true if teachers could put two and two together she would have been in more trouble than she was usually.
"Why don't we start with that and then if we manage to survive then we can think about more." she said batting her lashes. She grabbed hold of his hand ready to start all sorts of trouble round the castle.
"What would your means of getting more be?" she asked it was so confusing how he could find little things and little ways to get all sorts of havoc through the walls of Hogwarts without a single person knowing.

Mathew took the joke item and shoved the rest under his bed. Alice then grabbed his hand and he followed her. He started to lead the way out of the common room. At the moment it was empty and Mathew knew it was because everyone was either in class or wondering the corridors which made their plan even better. There would be many students out to witness what they had planned.

Mathew turned to Alice to answer her question. "Well one way I get more is when we go to visit Hogsmead. That's the easiest way for this a secret passage that leads from the castle straight there which means I won't have to walk by Flich. Another way is that I buy it from other kids who smuggled it in too though many don't. Flich can get a lot of the others. The last way I have of getting joke stuff is by ordering it through Wealsey's Wizards. They make it almost impossible for Flich to figure out that it's a firecrackers instead of some cookies from grandma." Mathew laughed.

"Wicked." she stated it was so impressing how people could manage to spend so much thought on how to smugle jokes into hogwarts. It amazed her even.
"Where exactly are we lighting these suckers off at?" she asked him quietly. They got out of the dormitories which led into the hallways and stair which were crouded with 1st year and 7 years alike. If you were lucky you could move but they could barley get through the people.
"Iguess with this many people i supose anywhere would be good" she said with a smile. Alice was pushed closer to him by people around her. This made her giggle slightly.
"Sorry." She appoligized.

Mathew looked around and saw that Alice was right. There were people all over the corridors and there was barely any room to swing a Bludger. When Alice was pushed into him Mathew quickly placed his arms around her incase she fell but she didn't.

"Don't worry" Mathew said when she apologized. He then reached into his pocket and pulled out the firecracker and his wand. He looked around and made sure that the students walking all around them would hide them from the professor who were littering the halls. Mathew looked up at Alice and said "Ready?" He was so excited and could barely contain his excitement.

Alice smiled and if she could have she would have blushed when he wrapped his arm around her. She looked around to make sure there hidden and they were.

"Always." She said kissing him sweetly on the cheek.
"Let’s blow the roof off this place!" Alice added on excited. She had heard of these fire crackers but
Never once had she seen anyone actually light one off. She wasn't sure if that was because she just was never in the right place to see one or if it was because no one could smuggle them in but most likely no one was brave enough to light one off.
I wonder what it will look like or if it will even work. What if it doesn’t work then what will we do. I suppose we could use his other joke products but it would kind of ruin the moment. Would it?

Mathew was grinning as he brought his wand to the firecracker's end and using his wand he light it on fire. He quickly threw the firecracker into the middle of the corridor and grabbing Alice's hand he took about twenty paces before it went off.

A BANG! filled the corridor and Mathew turned around trying to look surprised. He watched as the one firecracker split into many and those split into more. As each second went by the firecrackers grew and soon students were piling into the classrooms to get away from the noise. Just then the firecrackers started to quiet down before a flaming dragon rose from it and started to fly around the hall. As it spit out fire the air was filled with more BANGS and another dragon grew.

Mathew went into the nearest room, still holding Alice's hand and found they were in the Care of Magical Creature's classroom with many other students. He looked over at Alice to see what her face expression was.

Alice was shocked and amazed as the little firecracker turned into more and then a dragon and then two dragons. Her face lit up as the fire circled around turning the air Smokey but it lit up with red lights and blue sparkles. It gave her the same feeling of adrenalin and rush as she got when she was close to Mathew.
"Wow." escaped her mouth. Her cheeks felt burning to her but to the touch they would remain cold. Alice gripped his hand harder and giggled little.
"I think you walked in on a class." she whispered to him to see the other students in seats looking up at them as they ran inside.
"Smooth move out of all the classrooms." she added on with a bright sarcastic smile. Alice pecked him on his cheek.
"We should probably leave." she suggested looking around without moving her head.

When Alice said that they were in a classroom he turned around and saw his mother standing at the front of the room holding what looked like a toad in front of her class. At the moment she wasn't looking happy as she walked over to her desk and placed the frog back into it's container. She looked over at her class and said "Class is now dismissed. Enjoy the extra 20 minuets."

Mathew was about to dash out of the door with Alice and the crowd of other students when his mother shouted his name. He could barely hear it over the student's excitement and the noise from the firecracker.

"Mathew Riddle! Come here!"

"She knows" Mathew whispered to Alice as he turned around to face his mother. Out of all of the rooms he entered he had to enter this one. He was certain that his mother knew it was he who set off the firecrackers. Mathew let go of Alice's hand and said "You can go right on ahead and go to the Common Room. Mom's gonna be super angry."

"Mathew Riddle! Come Here!" Alice herd his mom yell over the kids who were all too excited about everything. Her voice gave it away that she knew and sent a shiver down her spine that you only get once you got caught. It was a mixture of adrenaline and fear.
Crap there is no getting out of this one. She thought crinkling her nose then relaxing it.

"I’m not leaving you alone with your mother Mad." she whispered to him letting his hand slid out of hers.
That’s like sending you alone into a snake pit Alice thought to him hoping it would lift his mood a little she moved out of the way of the kids and stayed close to Mathew.

Mathew was a little glad that Alice wanted to stay. This way his mother wouldn't act so mean towards him if Alice had gone with the other students who were leavign the room. Once the room was empty Mathew slowly made his way to the front of the room. He made sure to keep his eyes glued to the floor.

"Mathew I know you did this. After all I watched you buy those firecrackers" Oddie said. "I should have made you leave them at home but I thought that maybe you would have lit them outside certainly not in the school."

Mathew remained there not moving just listening to everything his mother had to say. Oddie sighed as she tried to think of a punishment for her son. After was seemed like an entinity of silence Oddie turned to Mathew.

"You will have detention every Tuesday and Thursday for the next three weeks in my room." Oddie said.

"Doing what?" mathew asked her finally looking up. he could see how angry she looked.

"Leave that up to me. Now be gone both of you!" Oddie said Mathew turned around and started walking towards Alice. Lets hurry and leave before she changes her mind Mathew thought hoping that Alice was listening.

Alice nodded and left with Mathew.
"You had to pick that class room?" she asked trying not to laugh she found it so funny that their luck happened to make it so they interrupted her class and not just anyone's class but his moms. Who not only knew he was up to something but knew he had bought the firecrackers.
"I am sorry about the detentions though." She apologized her smile disappearing a little bit.
"It’s not really fair is it, it was my idea and somehow you are the one who gets the punishment but it's only six you could have done a lot worse right?" Alice asked finally directing something at him because mainly she was talking to herself just out loud. She pecked him on the cheek softly
"It'll be ok." she reassured him though at the moment it seemed that she was reassuring herself.

Mathew quickly left the classroom with Alice who was saying how it wasn't fair that he got in trouble when it was her idea. Mathew turned to her and said "Don't worry. If you didn't want to set them off in the corridor then than later I would have set them off myself. Then I would have walked into my mom's room and received a detention without you there to watch. At least this way we have a fun and exciting story to tell everyone" Mathew smiled to show her that he wasn't mad at all. He returned the kiss and grabbed her hand as he continued walking down the hall.

"Don't worry though I have been in many detentions already" Mathew said smiling. "I've had to wash the floor with a toothbrush once without magic. Flinch's idea." Mathew laughed thinking back to the time. He had to clean the Great Hall and he was there for what seemed like weeks. "It can't be any worse then that. At least I hope not."

"I'm positive that she will come up with something completely devious for you to do." Alice said with a slight smirk of relief.
"I mean she looked like she was about to blow a gasket so I’m sure she is weighting down the worst things to do in the whole school for you." Alice joked.
"Ok now what?" She asked walking backwards in front of him holding his hand out in front of him.
"So got anymore brilliant plans because I only get one a day and I already used it today so it's your turn." Alice stated giggling slightly.

Mathew looked down at his watch and saw that it was soon for dinner. "Well i think we should head outside while everyone heads to dinner. Maybe we can sneak out into the forbidden forest. I think it would be fun to walk around the woods for awhile. I like walking in them, you never know what you might run into. Hagrid has some pretty interesting animals in there" Mathew laughed. He remembered seeing giant spiders that were trying to eat him. There didn't seem to be many there though and he was wondering if they had a leader of some sort.

"Ya we probably should leave I mean unless you’re in the mood to watch everyone eat stuff you can't eat its like braces all over again." Alice joked walking towards the doors when someone put their hand on her shoulder Alice grabbed it turning around twisting the arm nearly breaking it when she saw who it was. Alice immediately let go and let the arm untwist.
"Sorry professor it's an immediate response you know." She said trying to explain this to her professor.
"It’s ok but can I see you in my office?" Her potion teacher asked. She was confused she had done nothing and she didn't even have that class today so it didn't make much sense because she couldn't have done something in class to day. Alice wondered if it was because of the fireworks but decided against it.
"Um ya what have I done?" Alice asked looking up at her.
"Oh nothing I just need to talk to you." She looked at Mathew then back to Alice. She turned around to face Mathew who her back was to this whole time.
"I guess I will be back in a few?" Alice told him not sure about what was going on.

As soon as Alice stopped walking Mathew stopped in his tracks and turned to look to his side only to see Alice facing the opposite direction. Wondering what she was looking at, Mathew turned on his heels only to see the Potion's Professor standing there. He was wondering what the teacher wanted with Alice. She didn't do anything and he was almost certain that he was the only one who got in trouble for the firecrackers. After all if Alice was in trouble then his mom would have given her detention as well.

Mathew stood there trying to think of possibilities for what the Professor could want Alice for but nothing made sense. He was snapped out of his thoughts when Alice turned to him and said about being back in a few. Mathew smiled and said "I will be waiting for you here then. Don't hurry things" he added. He was sure it wasn't anything bad and Alice could be receiving an award for all he knew.

Alice peeked him on the cheek before turning and following the professor to her office. Were they both took a seat.
"What’s this all about professor?" Alice asked still confused about what this could be about.
"Are you planning on leaving Hogwarts after this year?" She asked not answering her question.
"Well yes I believe so." She responded skeptical.
"And what do you presume to do after that?" the professor asked messing with a glass globe on her desk.
"To be honest professor I don't think I should be telling you that what does any of this have to do with anything?" She asked looking over at the clock it seemed like this meeting was dragging on too long.
"Well there had been rumors that you were just staying here for protection not an education which basically breaks the rules and procedures for vampires if that was your intent. So some of the teachers here would still like you to stay but you can’t be a student forever. So they were wondering if you would like a job here.” She asked Alice looked up at her in shock what teachers wanted her to stay?
“Um no offense but isn’t that the headmasters job?” She asked wondering why she would be asking her this.
“Well you would be taking my job so it seems fitting.” Her professor explained.
“If you don’t mind me asking where would you be going?” Still refusing to answer the question.
“Just retiring deary.” She nodded setting the glass globe down on the table. Alice stood up and shook her hand.
“I’ll let you know when I decide.” She said heading down the hall towards Mathew.
“They wanted to offer me a job but I’m not sure if I want to though.” She said hugging Mathew once she spotted him.
(ugh bad post.)

(No it wasn't bad at all)

Mathew was pacing up and down the hall waiting for Alice to return. He was wondering what they could be discussing upstairs. Mathew was almost certain that she was receiving some kind of reward. She wasn't in trouble for anything, Mathew was sure of that. If she was in trouble the Potion's Professor would have had a much angrier look on her face. Mathew knew that look only too well because many times before he had received detention from that very same professor.

When Alice returned Mathew almost ran to her and asked "So what did she want?" Once she mentioned the job Mathew smiled brightly. "That's great news! You would be a great teacher but you should only do it if you want. After all since your a vampire the student's parents might give you a hard time over that. I know my mom receives hate mail everyday just because she's a werewolf but I'm sure it wouldn't have any affect over you. What are you thinking?" Mathew asked her. He wanted to hear her thoughts about it

"Well for starters I’m thinking how on earth that ended up happening I’m still surprised." She said with a smile at his response.
"Second I’m thinking this is great I mean I don't think I would be a good even though my students would be the same age as me and that would be odd but I never really was good enough to do many of the jobs in the wizard world. On the other hand however I am a good teacher and potions yikes and I would be taking her job when she retires like pressure much. I don't know I’ll have to sleep on it not literally but think about it you know?" Alice asked fitteling with her thumbs deciding on whether to take the job or not.
"Do you think I should take it?" she asked still curious of why out of all students they would pick her she wasn't the only vampire and not the only good one either so why her what was so special about her?

Mathew listened closely to Alice as she discussed her thoughts. He knew she would be perfect for the job despite her worries.

"Alice" Mathew said grabbing her hands. "You would be the perfect person to take her job. I'm sure the students would love you and you would do a fantastic job at it. Teaching can be a difficult profession but I know if you dedicate yourself to it that you could be the best Professor Hogwarts has ever seen. If you want to take this job then I would encourage you to do so. Think about it first." he added giving her a warm smile

"Ok." She said twisting her lips in thought she looked up at him.
"Ok so where were we going the forest or something like that?" Alice asked trying to remember what they were previously doing.
Why on earth would they pick me though there has to be something more to the story then just they needed a position to fill. And of course he would support me he knows what it is like.
“You really think so?” she asked thinking through what he said he thought she would be a great teacher.
Alice was so confused what to do but agreed she would think about it to herself.

"Yes you would be a great teacher." Mathew said. "But just think about it first before you decide."

"Yes we were heading to the Forrest until everyone was done with Dinner" Mathew said turning to face the Great Hall doors. "It'll be fun. You never know what you'll find in there. Mom had told me a few stories about the creatures she has seen in the woods but I think there's more in there than what she lets in on. I know she has said there were unicorns and centaurs but I believe there's more...Unless you want to go do something else?" Mathew asked her.

Alice laughed at his enthusiasm for the forest and his reasons behind it.
"Yes because that all that we need is to go into a dark mysterious forest and run into something we don't know about that sounds brilliant." She said smiling all the time she said it.
"And you wonder how dangerous things happen to you." Alice added on taking his hand in hers.
"Come on lets go Tarzan." she said walking slowly towards the door Mathew didn't walk fast so she wasn't going to bother trying to drag him when he easily was bigger and stronger then her.

Mathew embraced Alice's hand and with enthusiasm said "Lets go!" He made his way out the Great doors and headed straight to the forest. As they made their way there Mathew looked over at Alice.

"What exactly is Tarzan?" he asked her. He was guessing it was a muggle thing for he had never heard of Tarzan before. Judging how she used it he was certain it had to be a person. [i]If it's a person than they have such a strange name.[i] he thought to himself. He looked what was ahead of him and could see the trees nearing with every step they took. He was ready to start exploring but he wanted to know who this Tarzan was before the entered the woods.

Alice followed Mathew as they reached the seam of where the forest began and where everything else ended. She assumed that this was because he wanted to know who Tarzan was.
"Tarzan is a fictional character in children stories in the muggle world. He was raised by apes and is completely wild swinging on veins wrestling lions etc." She said with a smile for some reason explaining muggle things gave her a sense of happiness.
"And he falls in love with a city girl but instead of conforming for her she conforms for him. It really is a sweat story once you get past the whole ape man thing," She added on looking up at him hoping that answered his question.
"So can we go into the forest now?" She asked nodding her head slightly toward the forest looking over towards it.

Mathew grinned at the thought of someone being raised by monkeys. He liked listening to muggles tales, they seemed so unreal and far-fetched to him every time he heard one. It was as if a wizard was being raised by a hippogrift or a bowtruckle. It was just something that didn't happen.

"Well if I'm Tarzan than you must be the city girl" Mathew joked. "Yes city girl we may enter the forest now." he chuckled as he grabbed Alice's hand and lead her into the forest. As they got farther into the woods he had to watch the many roots that were growing up out of the ground. Even though he was more agile he was still afraid of falling. He gazed up and could barely see the dusk lights peering through the leeves and was glade for his improved vision. If he was still human there was no way he would be able to see what was in front of him.

"What do you think we're going to find in here?" Mathew asked Alice as a unicorn jumped out in front of them but than trotted away.

"Yes I would be the city girl." she stated with a forced smile. Alice was in fact from the city but hated it she would much rather be in the country or suburbs.
"Oh I don't know we seem to have a habit of running into dangerous thing unexpectedly." she said watching the unicorn it was beautiful it showed that not all things are evil that’s why she came out to the forest to see things you normally couldn't. She squeezed Mathews hand as the flowers and leaves swayed in the wind. Why was it the people weren't suppose to be out in the forest she wondered seeing no harm in the area they were in.
