Hey, has anyone read these books? The second book, 'New Moon' just came out...anyway, they're REALLY good. Extremely well-written, excellent plot...and just--wow. Just really good.

yeah, i was REALLY angry at edward when he did that but in the third one, at least edward realized that Bella was friends with Jake too, and larned to except that, but Jake on the other hand kept being like, "stop hanging out with the bloodsucker" which I found really annoying because Edward almost never insulted Jake infront of Bella because he knows hou much he means to Bella. Jake on the other hand has no regards for how bella feels about Edward.

I think jake has practically done the same thing to bella because he said he can't be friends with bella if she hangs out with edward which really hurt her, maybe not as much as edward did, but i still think they both left her and at least edward left for "her own good" instead of because he couldn't be friends with her if she was friends with someone he didn't like.

And now that my confusing feelings over which ship I should ship, I can proudly say that I support Team Jacob

I still don't really like Rosalie, but I feel more sympathetic towards her, and I can understand her dislike of Bella a little better after reading Eclipse.

It's nice to have a book to look forward to now that the HP series is over.

YAY! My brother's computer did have it! I didn't think it was as good as it was from Bella's point of view but I still really liked it! Espicially seeing further into their family!

That's really sad! I got to read it and it was interesting...unfortunatley the book isn't the 4th book but a remake of Twilight in Edward's opinion so it's not coming out until after the 4th one does

I thought they gave an official release date of 10th August? I'm sure I read that on the Lexicon...

that's what I thought too...I knew it was some time in August...must start a countdown!

Some book updates:

1) Breaking Dawn is in the editing phase. It it tentatively set for release Fall 2008. It could be later if we hit a snag in editing. Usually editing takes longer than a few months, but both I and my editors will be putting in lots of overtime to make this happen.

2) Midnight Sun is only half-written. It will not be coming out until a while after it’s finished. Don’t expect it anytime soon. I will let you know when the rough draft is finished, and then you can start asking when it is due out. I don’t foresee much chance to work on it until Breaking Dawn is completely finished.

3) Forever Dawn (the early, poorly written sequel to Twilight) is not the "steamy" version of Breaking Dawn; I don’t know how that rumor got started. Forever Dawn is not adult as in "XXX." It is adult as in "not written exclusively for a young adult audience, much like Pride and Prejudice or Gone With the Wind." There is no steam in Forever Dawn that is not also in Breaking Dawn, so please stop begging me for the "ooh la la" version. It does not exist. I may put some small excerpts of Forever Dawn on my website after Breaking Dawn comes out, but then again, maybe not. It’s not that great. All the best stuff is in Breaking Dawn.

I do not have any casting updates. I haven’t heard anything since the Robert Pattinson announcement. I’m waiting on the same pins and needles you all are. When I get home from vacation, I’ll see if I can get some news.

4) In regards to the question, "Is Breaking Dawn the last book in the Twilight Saga?" The answer is, "I don’t know." It’s the last one for a while, at least. Of course there will be Midnight Sun, but that’s covering old material. I’m not sure if I will go forward with the Twilight characters–I’m a little burned out right now. Ask me again in two years.

5) "When are you going to put the first chapter of Breaking Dawn on your website?" I have no idea when or if I will get permission to post that. It may be in the special edition of Eclipse that will come out in June or July. It may never appear until BD is on the shelves.

Oh, I thought of another one!

6) "What does the cover of BD look like?" I don’t know (are you sensing a theme here?). We have not decided on a cover yet–in fact, we are in a very early stage of the process. If we get a cover developed in time, it will probably be released with the Eclipse special edition the way the Eclipse cover was put out with the New Moon special edition. I’ve had a few people ask if images they’ve seen are the BD cover, and I can tell you absolutely that they are NOT.

Yaaay I just reread Twilight and I had forgotten how good it is! It really is just all-around awesome. Looking forward to August and Breaking Dawn! *sigh*

Also, The Host is coming out in May! Maybe I'll buy that for my b-day present. xD

A:Ever since I put up my "craptastic covers" page and included the cover I made for Forever Dawn (the original sequel to Twilight), I've been getting different versions of this question. First of all, here's the reason why Forever Dawn will never be published: it doesn't fall into the young adult genre. I wasn't thinking about my audience yet when I was writing it, I was still just writing for my own amusement. When I knew that I was going to have to write another sequel, with a more YA focus, I went ahead and finished Forever Dawn so I could give it to my big sister for her birthday (how many of your sisters have ever written you a 600+ page book for your birthday?). Now, eventually, in the distant future, I will probably put up sections of Forever Dawn like I did with the Twilight outtakes. The reason I can't do this for a long time is because the plot line of Forever Dawn is still working as a loose skeletal outline for the rest of the series. In other words, it's chockfull of spoilers. So I won't be able to put any of it here on the site until I'm past that point in the story. After Eclipse is out and we get a little closer to the release of Breaking Dawn, I'll be able to reveal the first pieces of Forever Dawn."

This is an interesting observation, because Stephenie created that 'fake cover' herself, for the original draft of Breaking Dawn. Of course, she may have changed the manuscript drastically, but if she did intend to turn Bella into a vampire, that would be a pretty big change from draft to draft!
