Hey, has anyone read these books? The second book, 'New Moon' just came out...anyway, they're REALLY good. Extremely well-written, excellent plot...and just--wow. Just really good.

Elly told me about that lol. I had some suggestions but she kept rebuffing them. But whatever you do, you have to have Rachel Leigh Cook as Alice - she just looks perfect for the part.

And Jonathon Rhys-Meyers should be James. Apart from that, I'm not fussed. To be honest, I'm kind of going off the idea of whatsername being used for Bella (no really, what is her name???) - she's becoming overused and I can't really see her as Bella anymore :/

Yeah...but I think it's a case of over exposure, even though she's not even connected to the role really. Everyone uses her in Twilight graphics, she's always Bella on cast lists, and I don't know...

It's like when you hear a song that you like, then the radio station overplays it and you start to hate it.

and about james...i'm check out the guy you said but right now we've got jake gyllenhall. i know what your thinking...he's so not james...but he is! if you see donnie darko you'll know he can play freaks. and also he's hot, especially when he's rugged.

EDIT: oh! johnathon whatshisname is that dude? hmm..i'll think about it but currently i prefer jake. and also whatshisface is stuck too strongly in my head as the coach from bend it like beckham. and he's not even hot! all vampires are hot!

hmmm...well we're still debating edward. we're thinking either drew fuller or ian somerhalder....you know boone from lost? but then again we're still deciding and this is uuuber hard.

and for bella...we had alexis bledel for a while but i dont think so anymore. i reckon we're gonna ditch her but i'm not sure who for.

Carlisle – Originally we said Charlie Hunnam but he’s uber hot…possibly too hot when we put him next to all the other vampires. Also…he’s kinda young. We thought about him for Jasper but we’re still undecided.
Esme – Michelle Williams
Rosalie – well right now we have Emily de Ravin, she’s also from Lost. The one with the baby…her and Charlie were kind of an item. Can’t remember her name now. But anyway…I think we’re gonna ditch her. We’ve been looking for some models so we’ll see…one of the models we found is anna lita. we think she'll be good.
Emmett – Tom Welling but we’ll have to beef him up a bit.
Jasper – He is one of the hardest ones to cast. STILL LOOKING
Alice – Rachel Leigh Cook. Alexis Bledel as our back-up.
Charlie – Dennis Quaid, the dad in Day After Tomorrow.
Jessica – Still unsure. Maybe Sophia Bush.
Mike –
Taylor – we did have Jesse Bradford (Cliff – Bring it On) but then we realized that he’s too old now. So we have ANOTHER undecided one.

Victoria – Danielle Panbaker, she’s too pretty as she is but we have the wonders of creepy make up.
Laurent – Keanu Reeves. This is one of my favouritest choices. He’d be perfect.

Wooo not long (4 months) til Eclipse is out!

Well, if you're anything like me, when you start reading it you won't be able to put it down, so make sure you have some free time!

I'm almost at the end of my current run of books (i.e. I've almost finished reading all the new books I'd bought), so I may have to re-read Twilight again. I've had a nagging idea for a fanfiction these past couple of weeks, so I'll need to refresh my memory a bit.

I cannot believe I haven't posted here yet! I love these books, and I cannot wait for Eclipse. Tomorrow I am going to get Agatha Black hooked on them too. I read New Moon in less than 24hrs, because I just had to get to the end. And I am most firmly on Team Edward. Don't get Team Jacob members at all.

There even exists a team Jacob? Nahhhh I can't believe it! *giggles*

Cristina! You need to read New Moon now, or I simple cannot duel with you again! *g* And okay, Jacob does have a larger role in the second book, and I do like the kid. But Edward is Edward, he's Mr. Darcy, he's Romeo, he's Rhett Butler...I know that Stephenie Meyers is supposed to release the first chapter of Eclipse in May on her website...where you can also read the first meeting of Bella and Edward from his point of view. Plus she has tons of extras, like little snippets that got cut from the books, playlists that she listened to while writing (most of it is really good- she's a fan of Coldplay like me). There is even a website called Twilight Lexicon that posts timelines and indepth, chapter by chapter discussion.

Well I actually like Team Jacob just as much as Team Edward XD

I'm undecided I'm leaning a bit more toward Edward though XD

If there was no Edward than I would be on Team Jacob, but because there is and Edward, Team Jacob is just not an option. Plus, for her safety, Bella needs to become a vampire.
I gave Ame (Agatha Black) the book today, so she should start reading it tonight...at least she better! She was nominated for the Edward Cullen award and had no clue who he was.

So it happened....I got the book on Friday night and started reading it Saturday morning...and by dinner...I wanted to be a vampire...or atleast be in love with one!! I am going to look at houses tonight...but I will be starting New Moon...so hopefully I will finish it soon.

Ok...so I read for about 2 hours last night...and I had never felt so many emotions at once! I cried...I wanted to throw the book across the room and break something! I am determined to finish this book today! I have finished all my work for the day...so I shall start very soon...

aww well then at least you have something to look forward to that you will be getting soon...the third book is MONTHS away and the second book also ends with a tremendous cliffie so you will be dying for the third when you're done XD

The first chapter of the third book will be avaible to read in May- in the paperback edition of New Moon- probably on Stephenie's site as well.

And I'm not saying that Jacob isn't a great guy, but lets face it, he's no Edward. Jacob is Paris, Edward is Romeo -as the book points out.

incidentally, I just read on eric d. snider's site that he thinks Twilight is one of the best books he read in 2006...and he's a 30 year old guy...lol.

Shush, some of us are older! It's not my fault! The cover of the book looked interesting and it was about vampires, I didn't know I would actually end up as obsessed with the series as I am Harry Potter. Plus, I would like to point out, that Stephenie Myers actually wrote the story of Edward and Bella for her sister, but it was an adult novel, and I guess it blends things from New Moon and things that haven't even happened yet. Sadly, it was just a gift to her sister, and it will never be published. And most of the main characters are hundreds of years older than me!

For most book, I don't believe in them being refered as children or adult books lol. Okay there are some that has to be, but books like Harry Potter and Twilight and Anne of Green Gables, etc... there isn't any age to read those books. And for that matter, even fairy tales shouldn't be categorized as children book (and not only for the fact that, in the begining, they definitely weren't suitable for children to read *shudders*), I think anybody can enjoy Twilight even if they're older.

She choose death for herself, just as prince jerk realizes that he really loves her, but he's too late to save her.

Back on subject- how are all the New Moon people coming along? Don't forget to visit Stephenie Meyers website - she has the first part of Twilight told through the eyes of Edward, plus extra little parts that didn't make either of the books!

Actually, I hope I'll still be reading YA books in ten years from now. I'm pretty sure I will, because the YA books are usually the best. Adult books tend to veer towards the same direction usually...it's the YA authors that usually experiment and end up with something outstanding and original instead of something just good.

Not that there aren't a few really good adult books. But most of the GREAT, FANTASTIC books I've read over the past few years were YA.

I remember being a little embarressed buying my first Harry Potter novel, I couldn't wait any longer for my friend to smuggle her little brother's copies to me because he was a slow reader. Then I read The Series of Unfortuante Events, sadly I'm also hooked on Gossip Girl- but I would never let my 15 year old niece read the series, it's Jackie Collins for teens, and now Twilight. It gets easier. When I was buying New Moon the store clerk could see my embaressment, and he reassured me that it was on several top seller lists and that he loved the books and he was around my age, so it helped. I still buy the Gossip Girl books with more serious works of literture, in hopes that the clerk will assume the gg book is for someone else and that I myself have very refined taste in liteture. I mean, I read Les Miserables- twice! I read a lot, mostly adult books at that but Twilight is pure escapism. I love it!

Aliza told me to buy them - when I was in Birmingham - and I loved them SO MUCH and I borrowed them to all my friends and now we're working on a portuguese translation even though we think it must be coming here soon. I mean, it's a Best Seller!

Okay, so i didn't get it in English, becaus eit was SOLD OUT (*glares*) but i had to choose between Swedish and Finnish, and i took Finnish, because i don't get all the Swedish words, even if i do go in a Swedish school and stuff xD

...Finnish is more natural for me...

Anyway, so far, i'm enjoying it :D I'm not gonna go all crazed about it, afterall, HP is my one and true love xD
