FINAL House Quidditch : RAVENCLAW V SLYTHERIN: 12th-16th

(Ravenclaw Beater)
After helping Anthony make that last goal, Stephy flew up into the sky so that she would get a better view of the field. Looking out of the corner of her eye she saw Cat flying towards something. Stopping in the middle of the air, Stephy scanned the area in front of her and saw that she was after a Bludger. Stephy flattened herself against her broom and raced over to where Cat was at. She had a feeling that she was going to try to knock Anthony off his broom again and after seeing her hit the ball she saw that her suspicions where right.

Once she caught up to it she saw that the Bludger was only a few feet in front of Cat. Well I might as well as give it back to her Stephy thought as she flew in front of the ball. She made sure that she was facing with her back towards Cat so as to throw her off as to what she was planning. Stephy held her bat up in front of her face and swinging back she heard a thwack and looking back she saw that black ball soaring right towards Cat.

(Ravenclaw Beater)
Stephy started to fly away from the Slytherin Beater until she heard a crack behind her. Looking behind her she saw the Bludger inches behind her. She knew there was no way she could dodge it so she braced herself for the hit. She held her bat in front of her hoping that it would absorb some of the impact. With a bang and a twinge of pain, Stephy felt the Bludger make contact with her. It had hit her right in the stomach but luckily her bat took some of the damage but she still had the wind knocked out of her.

Stephy tried with all of her might to stay on her broom but as she tried to get her breath back her grip had started to slip. She slipped off the side of her broom but she was able to grab hold of the broom’s handle before falling down. She hanged there for a few minutes until she caught her breath. Once she got her breath she pulled herself back onto her broom and started to look for a Bludger to send back at Cat. She flinched as she felt the pain shoot up through her body and moaned in pain. She was just going to have to take it easy until the game was over.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

As he prepared speed after the quaffle once more Anthony noticed that their Keeper Holly had made her way onto the pitch. A smile hit his features, it would be twice as difficult for the Slytherins to score now. However his attention was quickly pulled away from her when he suddenly heard the loud smack of a beaters bat. Turning his attention towards the source of the noise his green eyes widened as he saw yet again that another bludger had been hit his way. It came flying towards him with a frightening speed and in the next moment he was off, barrel rolling trying to evade the dangerous ball. As he sped along and he took a quick glance over his left shoulder and saw that Stephy had come to his aid and with another loud whack, she sent the bludger back towards Cat.

His nerves calmed slightly after seeing this and his attention was brought back onto the red glint soaring through the air above. Reacting with cat like reflex he took off in a fury, heading high into the air straight towards the sphere. Higher and higher he soared closing in on his target fast, and then the sharp pain in his chest struck again. This time it was even worse, and he had no choice but to slow down and allow it to pass. Hovering in spot one hand massaging the area with one hand, Anthony berated himself as his eyes followed the quaffle as it flew overhead. Finally able to push the pain aside he angled his direction to where he last saw the red sparkle of the quaffle. Zooming off he looked all around for any sign of it, eyes darting back and forth, the faint blurs flying past every so often.

(Slytherin Keeper)

Gemma watched the game for a while when it seemed as if there wasn't any reason for here to be especially careful, but obviously her decision awarded her with both embarassment and - quite more distracting - a sharp pain running up her right arm. Due to her not paying attention, one of the Ravenclaw beaters, Stephy, hadn't had any difficulties aiming one of the bludgers straight at her. She hadn't even had the time to react in whatever desperate way, and be it a Starfish and Stick move which usually wasn't even used to escape an oncoming bludger.
The black ball had hit her somewhere close to the wrist, but strangely enough the pain seemed to spread quickly. She could only hope that she'd be able to play the rest of the game, though it seemed that she wouldn't be the only one to do so. As long as she would stay alert this time, there couldn't possibly be so much that might go wrong, or could there? Besides, of course, the fact that the hand she normally caught saved the quaffle with was somewhat damaged now...

Gemma decided that she would manage well without further distractions, so she did her best to keep her thoughts reduced to the game and not think about how she felt about having to play with only one teammate in the most important game of the season. Hadn't there been something about true friends to be found in Slytherin? But oh well, she could do better now than to think about that. Just concentrate, Gems. Miserably, the Slytherin girl looked for any sign of a Ravenclaw carrying a quaffle towards her position.

[Slytherin Chaser]


Ame opened her eyes...she was lying on the ground. She was staring straight up at the heavens...Am I dead she thought to herself...in the next second she realized that a. she wasn't dead...and b. she had been knocked out for a large portion of the most important game of the season!!! With a cry she sat shtraight up looked around...her team..or rather Cat and Gemma...were doing their best to keep us in the game. Ame hopped up and grabbed her broom, and in a split second she was off. She headed straight up towards the action. About halfway across the pitch Ame stopped. She couldn't believe her eyes...she saw flying straught towards Anthony....HER quaffle!!!! She squinted her eyes and narrowed in on her target. "Oh no you don't!" She took of with a mighty powerful launch and headed straigh for the beautiful ball of red. As she approached, she watched as Anthony slowed down a bit reach his hand out...but just as he did, Ame going full speed, flew parralell to him and snatch the ball away. She tucked it tightly into her abdomend and jetted off towards the ravenclaw goals. Knowing this may be her only chance...Ame couldn't wait for the rest of the seekers. She hunkered down and darted as fast as she could towards the golden hoops. Making it there in what seemed like 2.3 seconds...Ame reached underneath her and pulled out the ball. As she approached the goals, she decided to go for the tallest one there was...she continued on full speed and as she was just passing over, she dropped her arm and easily tossed the quaffle in the hoop. Hearing the wonderful ding...she high fived Cat and Gemma as they headed back for the quaffle to be thrown in again.

(Ravenclaw Beater)
After being hit by that Bludger, Stephy was finding it a bit hard to keep concentrating on game. She heard a distance crack and looking up she saw that Cat had sent another Bludger at Anthony. Stephy flattened herself against her broom but she felt a shearing pain shoot up from her stomach which caused her to slow down a lot. She knew that she wasn’t going to reach him in time. She sat back up on her broom and cupped her hands around her mouth shouting “Anthony, watch out”. She hoped that he would hear her and dodge out of the way. As she watched she saw that she had shouted out too late and the Bludger did in fact hit him.

Growing angry, Stephy chased after it throwing her bat into the air. As she drew closer to it, Stephy maneuvered her broom so that it would cause her to start spinning around in circles. She looked as everything past by her in a blur of colors. Then she looked up into the air and saw her bat falling right towards her. She held up her hand and caught it with she was still spinning. Looking out around her again she saw a ball blur and throwing back her arm she heard a loud crack as the Bludger made contact with her bat. Stephy quickly stopped spinning, seeing as how it was causing her pain to keep it up and saw to her delight that the Bludger was heading straight for Cat with alarming speed. She knew there was no way she could get away from it now.

[Slytherin Chaser]


Ame's eyes were glued to Madame Hooch...she was just about to release the quaffle. Ame knew she had to be the one to catch it...no matter what. They were already behind and didn't need to add anymore. As soon as the quaffle left the tips of her fingers...like lightening through a stormy sky...Ame flew straight for it. Bumping a few Ravenclaws out of her way in order to do so was the least of her worries. She wormed her way around the other team and succeeded in reaching the quaffle first. She quickly tucked it away safely and started her trek to the ravenclaw goals.

It was a hot day and this proved to be most inconvenient. Ame was sweating profusely and it was falling on her broomstick...right where she had to have the firmest grip possible. Her hair was matted against her head and was getting in her eyes..obstructing her visoin. This was no good. Ame tried wiping it with her gloves, but this only spread it further. So she tried to pull up part of her robes...and wipe it away with that...no good. She finally decided to just let it be...if she flew to Japan cause she couldn't see where she was going...oh well...she just didn't ahev time to worry about it now... with a wipe of her forhead she continued on.

She turned her head every so quickly to see who was in pursuit. She saw Cat...her trusty beater....and she also saw Stephy...a ravenclaw beater. Stephy had just whacked a bludger straight towards Cat. All Ame could do was gasp...she couldn't let this happen! She she put two fingers in her mouth and make a whistling sound...that to the untrained ear sounded like a dog whistle...but to her slytherin teammates...meant heads up!! She turned quickly to watch as Cat riased her bat defensively...but she was too late. The bludger side swept the bat and made full on contact with her hip. Ame grimmaced at the sound the collision made. In horror...Ame realized that Cat was losing altitude! She was plumeting downwards...for a second Ame thought seriously about abandoning her quest for the goals and going to rescue her friend. But Cat leveled out and held up a thumbs up sign to signal she would be ok. Her beater's bat on the other hand had seen better days...new bat in hand...Cat seemed to have a revived sense of drive in her now.

Ame shuddered to think of the pain she would be sending towards the ravenclaw team. Onwards to the goal she went after her brief delay. Once again she couldn't afford to waste time with tricky plays. She needed to get down to business. With the quaffle safe and sound and the ravenclaw goals fastly approaching...Ame gritted her teeth and went in for the score. She went straigh for the left side hoop full speed...then just before she would need to veer off to the left to avoid going through the hoop herself...Ame pulled her broom straight to the left and did a quick 180. She darted straight towards the right hand goal and managed to tip in the quaffle before colliding with the metal. Relieved that her manuever had worked...Ame flashed a quick smile to Cat and all the Slytherin fans and headed back to the middle of the pitch to do it all again.

(Ravenlaw Chasers)


The pitch had gotten a lot more crowded and the action had seemingly picked up nicely. Only to his suprise a few Slytherins had appeared in just a short time, and whats more Ame had made quick work in making a few scores. She was his friend but his competitive side took over and with squinted eyes he shot off through the air at blinding speed. So focused on snatching the quaffle he was unaware of the bludger Cat smacked towards him moments ago. With all his focus trained onto the crimson sphere Anthony had seemingly forgotten there were possible dangers to him and his teammates. However he was quickly reminded of them when he felt yet another agonizing shot of pain, only this time it came from the small of his back. The force of Cat's bludger hit slammed into him, she had finally hit her mark. The air was pushed from his lungs, and with a few desperate gasps, he hovered there hunched over on his Firebolt, trying to catch his breath.

Finally able to do so Anthony pushed himself upright, scanning the pitch while ignoring the pain. He would definately not be getting out of bed tomorrow, but right now that was the least of his worries. Straight ahead only a few feet in front of him he saw his target, and in an instant he was off. The speed that he had taken off with nearly knocked himself from his broom, his mind focusing on nothing but retrieving the quaffle. He blocked out the pain, it seemed impossibe to do, but he managed. Closing in, he swept his arm out, his fingertips closing tightly around the ball, bringing it in and securing it. Without stopping he speed on. Pulling up he ascended high into the air until gave another pull back, he then angled toward the Slytherin end of the pitch and began his march flying upside down.

High enough to avoid any danger at the moment he would keep his Emerald stare trained on the three hoops in the distance. Rolling to set himself upright as he zigged and zagged his way down the pitch, he gave a quick glance over his shoulder seeing an opponet Chaser right on his trail. A grin now hit his lips, and his eyes became slits. Barrel rolling and darting back and forth he took to all kinds of evading maneuvers, he wasn't giving up the quaffle. The chase continued all the way down the pitch, both of them seemed to be determined, question was which of them was more determined. With that Anthony pushed forward angling the nose of his broom straight down, entering into a steep dive he hurtled straight towards the earth. The wind whipping his body as he continued on. His broom began shaking and one mishap could cause him to lose control. But he kept diving.

Closer and closer the ground came into view, and with once last glance over his shoulder Anthony saw his opponet had pulled out of their chase. Returning his focus to the front Anthony's eyes widened as the ground was perilously close. Tossing the quaffle into the air he would wrap both hands around the broom and heave up with all his strength causing the pain in his back and chest to let themselves be known. Inches from the ground, he had manage to evade disaster and possibly death, though the way he felt at that moment could easily be described as a form of it. Looking up he saw he had thrown the his item a little higher than expected, so he held a hand out until he had caught it once more. Securing it, he sped off again, making his way to the goals in a short amount of time, he had been so close to the ground that he was below the Keeper and the hoops, and staring up he would time his attack with their movement. "Keep it steady now." He would tell himself and when the Keeper had swayed the farthest from him he took off. Straight up he flew, gaining speed, quaffle in his left hand as he would be aiming for the left hoop. Within seconds he reached his target and with a toss he threw it straight through the left hoop. The faint dinging confirmed his score and Anthony mentally celebrated as he kept flying straight up into the air.

{Ravenclaw Seeker}

"Yes!" Rigby yelled as Anthony scored another much needed goal against Slytherin. She pumped her right arm up in celebration, only to feel something flutter against her wrist.

Snitch! she thought. Her broom was in motion before she knew it, following the golden ball closely. She had never seen such a beautiful sight! Of all the games where she needed to catch the snitch, this was the most important one. She shot past her teammates and her opponents so fast that they were just faint blue and green blurs; the snitch was all she could see.

"Come on, come on!" she crooned to her broom. As if sensing her urgency the broom picked up speed. The snitch dipped beneath her and Rigby flew lower, reaching downwards with her right hand. She needed to go faster! She quickly jettisoned the bandages and tubes of muscle ointment, and it seemed to make a difference. Rigby was now almost equal with the snitch. She made one final push, and thrust her hand forward.

The snitch stop flying immediatly, curling up all cute and docile in her hand. The cheers of the crowd seemed to blast Rigby with it's sudden intensity. She hugged the snitch close to her body and flew to meet her teammates. She was so proud of them, and she hoped that the work they had put in would bring home the quidditch cup. But cup or no cup, her fellow housemates and quidditch players were the very best in the world. Now it was time to celebrate!
