Weather: Bright sunny day on the quidditch pitch. Temperature in the low 70s, a strong wind picking up from the east and slightly cloudy, not a raindrop in the sky.

Notes: Welcome to the first match of the Quidditch Cup! Good luck to all players!

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

At last, the three of them had reached the respective hoops. In unison, they all pulled their arms back, and fired, as if they all had a quaffle in their hands. But, in reality-only she was the one who had it. The Quaffle whistled as it zoomed through the air and through the far right goal post. With a grin she flew over to Jenn and Marie, giving them each a high five. "Very nice, ladies. That was some excellent Chaser-ship. What's next?"

(Hufflepuff Beater and annoyed Captain)

:Etta screamed and threw her bat to one side, she braced for impact and...

"Weeeeeeeeeeeee!" Etta squealed as she bounced back into the air having landed on the trampoline and back down she went. "STuck, Pike, Straddle, seat drop, back drop front drop half twist, swiell hips, weeeeeeeeeeee!"

Finally Etta stopped her tramopline routine to land with a soft bounce. Looking relieved at streamies, she climbed off the trampoline and GLARED at June of gryffindor. Grabbing her bat she waited for her broom and began to think of reasons for why the gryffindor wanted her dead.

"What have i done now Streamies?" Etta shouted at her team mate and fellow head of house.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

"Oh dear," streams murmured, Ettie was yelling something or other on the ground and she couldn't quite hear her...but at once she banished Ettie's broom to the ground so that Ettie could get it, and then drew her arm back as a Bludger nearly hit her head. Her bat whacked satisfyingly into the bludger and the dangerous ball hurtled straight for June...

Gryffindor Chaser.

Aliza hurried on to the pitch, swearing slightly under her breath for being so late. She quickly mounted her broom and soared into the air. While doing a quick warm-up lap of the pitch she waved to the rest of her team mates and mouthed apologies for being late.

She quickly looked around the pitch for the red ball. (Red, for Gryffindor - see? Everyone wants us to win!) She saw it was in Ginny's hands and the three chasers were implementing a very weird play - for some reason they were all aiming to shoot despite the fact that it was only Ginny who had the quaffle. She imagined the play would have been more impressive at full-speed but now... Dragging her thoughts back to the quaffle she sighed when she realised they had scored. Launching her broom back into action she flew towards the quaffle, hoping to get it before one of the Hufflepuff Chasers did.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

:Etta was on her broom and racinf for June, many idea's of how to hurt the gryffindor flashed trough her mind when she spotted Aliza step onto the pitch. Grinning, Etta turned and hurtled towards the Gryffindor Chaser, knowing fine Well June had to either take a bludger and save aliza or save herself.

Grabbing the second bludger enroute Etta, bounced it on her bat as she raced withing inches of aliza.

"Sorry honey," said Etta sweetly as she performed the Hufflepuff Bully. She allowed the Bludger to fly up into the air an inch, pulling her arm back and swinging hard, she smashed the bludger directly at Aliza's face before doing the Badger drop, she was too close for the riccoshey and knew if she didn't drop and roll she's be injured also.:

June glared as Ginny, Marie, and Jenn scored. Grrrr.... She looked around for a bludger to hit at them, when she suddenly saw a bludger whizzing towards... her! Eek! Bat in hand, June brought it up to hit the ball away from her, when she suddenly noticed Etta hitting a bludger right at Aliza's face. She suddenly got an idea and June smashed the Bludger towards Aliza... or rather, where the bludger would be (which was a few inches from Aliza's face) in a few seconds.

June smiled contentedly as her bludger smashed into Etta's bludger but she bit her lip as the two bludgers flew away from Aliza, but just brushed her nose. Oh well... it could have been MUCH worse... June nodded towards her friend and raced past her, after the two bludgers that would soon go off in opposite directions. June reached them with seconds to spare, and hit the first at Marie and the second at Jenn.

Katie was relieve when Aliza showed up, she was starting to worry about her Mommy. Anyway, she joined Aliza in the chase for the Quaffle so that Hufflepuff wouldn't get it. She was on the other end of the pitch so she was anticipating Aliza getting there before her.[/b]

(Gryffindor Seeker)

After the incident when she had accidentally kicked the Snitch away from her, Cris was being more attentive but also got bored, as her target was nowhere in sight... again. She watched the game with interest though, and noticed that the Hufflepuffs had a new player, obviously a Seeker, because she didn't chase the quaffle, nor did she carry a bat or stay in range of the goalhoops. "Oh dear," she thought as she saw her struggle against a bludger. "Let's hope we can race soemtime!", she then shouted over to her and winked.

Making a mental notice to try to avoid bludgers as much as possible, Cris flew down into the midst of the players, imagining that maybe the snitch was hidden there - somewhere. She was flying using her new technique - oh well, maybe not so new - the Seeker Zig-Zag. She kept her head down while also trying to avoid the players in her way and even manage to look under some brooms, but it didn't seem to be hidden there. She grumpily slowed down and prepared to rise again, when she spotted a glitering object some 50 m away from her. "Holy cow!" she muttered and accelerated, lying almost flat on her broom. All she could hear was loud whoosh and all she could see around her was a blur - but fortunately, the snitch was still in front of her and getting closer. "Arghhh!", she yelled as a small fly came into her eye and made her blink. She feared that she had lost the snitch and looked closely at the spot in front of her where it was supposed to be flying. She squinted her eyes and - yes, there it was - even if rather farther away than before, as she had slowed down a bit, without even noticing it. Determined not to lose it, she went on turbo - and hoped nothing and no one would stand in her way.

(Hufflepuff Reserve Seeker)

Jazmo quickly scanned the field to make sure there were no more crazy flying bludgers heading her way. A bit of relief overcame her as she finally had the chance to search for the snitch.

A sparkle of gold caught her eye and she quickly focused her vision onto it to see it was a whizzing ball: the snitch.

"Yes!" and before it was even said she was already urging her broom to fly towards it; faster faster!

She was just a few mere meters away, and out of the corner of her eye she even saw the opposing teams' seeker flying at it with the speed of light.

Jazmo took the risk of letting her broom go with her left hand and started reaching for the snitch...

And out of nowhere a butterfly was suddenly in front of her; "What the heck are you doing here?!" She asked loudly. The butterfly gave a strange shake of it's head and then flapped away, heading towards the stands.

"Oh no!" And searching around frantically, the snitch was no where to be seen, "Dang it!"

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June scanned the Quidditch Pitch, wondering what to do. The Bludgers that she had hit were on their correct paths… and now there were no more bludgers left. June rolled her eyes. Jazmo seemed to have evaded the bludger June had aimed at her… sneaky sneaky little Hufflepuff. The Gryffindor decided to be weird and crazy and (hopefully) distracting, so when she saw Jazmo and Cris going after the snitch, June put her plan into action. She surreptitiously signaled to her fellow Gryffie team members (They were all on the field!!!) to let them know that they should ignore what she would do next. Taking a deep breath, June tightened her ponytail and quickly pulled up the nose of her broom and flew almost vertically up. Then, she immediately changed directions and flew directly down again.

Starting at one end of the pitch and going to the other, June performed the Roaring Rollercoaster and flew up and down at sharp angles, from the Hufflepuff goals to the Gryffindor ones, and back again. As she flew at her very fast speed (and getting faster and faster), June also added in some corkscrews and barrel rolls at random times. When she had flown across the pitch and back again a few times, June then did the Lion Bound and ‘bounded’ in large and small circles through the air, around the center of the pitch. She would go from near the ground to high up in the air, and then come down again forming semi-circles in midair. June did this for a few more moments and then quickly stopped. She was out of breath and felt dizzy… the girl rubbed her forehead and blinked rapidly before looking around for more bludgers. Hopefully, the Hufflepuffs had been confused, with the Gryffindors knowing exactly what she had been doing.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Jenn glanced around the quidditch pitch for a brief moment. She did a double take and glanced back to the right again just in time to see a bludger heading for her at top speed. Throwing her body forward, she was just narrowly able to miss the bludger as it went right over her head, catching the last few strands from her ponytail. Jenn winced as a few strands of her hair was yanked out.

With her head down, she glanced upwards just in time to see the quaffle being tossed into play. Seeing that she was the closest one to it at the moment as her teammates seemed a bit occupied, Jenn gripped her broomstick tightly with her hands and pushed it down as she sped forward. She rapidly blinked to keep her vision clear as she approached the fallen quaffle even more. Reaching outwards, she managed to grasp the ball with her fingertips.

Straightening on her broomstick, Jenn flew toward the goalposts with the quaffle tightly in her grasp, not taking notice of the opposing players. As she approached it closer and closer, she held on tightly. Right before she went through one of the hoops, Jenn pulled her broomstick upwards and to the left, flying away from the intended goalpost. Stretching upwards, her medium height frame managed to toss the quaffle into the far left hoop without any problems.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

Mmmmm… June glared at Jenn and stewed over the fact that she hadn’t even been affected by June’s moves… Mmmmm….. June sighed. And she had just scored. Just wonderful… June tilted her head back and closed her eyes. What was with Hufflepuffs and evading bludgers??!?! Grr…. She sighed disappointedly. It was as if they were impervious or something… always ducking just in time. June rolled her eyes and moved her head down, a determined look in her eyes. Oh well… if the Hufflepuffs were in a miss-that-bludger mood, then June would do everything in her power to make it harder for them. The Gryffindor flew upwards and found the bludger that had just missed Jenn. ‘You won’t be so lucky this time,’ June thought viciously and with her bat above her head, slammed it down, putting all her anger and frustration into it, and SMACK! The bludger zoomed downwards, heading directly for Jenn. That done, June flew to the other end of the pitch, looking around for the 2nd bludger, wondering if Ginny had been hit by it or not.

(Hufflepuff Reserve Chaser)

Ingrid hurried to the pitch right after hearing etta's message about needing a reseve. Blinking at the bright light, she swung her right leg over her broomstick and quickly rose up into the air.

Glancing around she saw that Jenn had just scored. Flying towards her fellow chaser, Ingrid saw that June, the gryffindor beater had a bludger right at Jenn.

Ingrid pushed her broom towards Jenn while yelling "Look out!"

//Wait... how are you the reserve chaser if there are already three Hufflepuff Chasers in the air? MarieC, Just_Ginny, and jennifer williams?\\

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June looked down at the sound of the shout. Oh just great, another person clad in black and yellow… Hufflepuff. Pfft. June rolled her eyes and glanced behind her, wondering if Jenn had heard the warning. Glancing back down at Ingrid, June cursed the fact that she didn’t have any bludgers on hand at the moment. One was going towards Jenn and the other towards Ginny. Oh well… she’d use her broom. June flew down towards Ingrid and began flying loops around the Hufflepuff. The Lion Loop was supposed to confuse the person you were looping… although it often confused the loop-er as well. After looping the Chaser a few times, June stopped and flew up higher into the air, looking for a bludger.

(Hufflepuff Reserve Chaser)

Slightly dizzy Ingrid quickly shook her head to clear it from the Lion Loop that June had did. Rubbing her eyes Ingrid sighed in relief when she saw that Jenn had avoided the bludger. She then flew higher up and circled around to see if she could spot any quaffles. It seemed that the pitch was strangely empty with any balls.

(Gryffindor Chaser)

Katie watched as Jenn had scored and was upset she had beaten her to the quaffle. Then when Ingird entered the pitch and exchanged some words with June. That was a little odd. But she couldn't dwell on it. She needed to get the quaffle. Katie flew towards her end of the pitch waiting for it to be put back in play. And when it was, she was the first one there and hastened to grab it.

She was zooming off towards the Hufflepuff goal posts when a bludger came soaring at her. Katie panicked and threw the quaffle at Aliza, hoping her teammate would catch it, as she rolled over in midair to avoid a collision with the bludger

Jenn was delighted with her current score when she turned around and was immediately hit with a bludger. Having the wind knocked out of her for a moment, she doubled over in pain. Moments passed as she took slow deep breaths to herself. As she placed a firm hand on the broom, Jenn grimanced and sat upwards. 'Maybe if I just stretched a bit,' she thought to herself as she started to turn to the right. 'Oh, Merlin! Moving is certainly not a good idea...' Moving as little possible, she turned her broomstick to the direction of the Hospital Wing for a moment.

As though she read her mind, or perhaps Etta's, Ingrid appeared out of the blue with her quidditch uniform on and broomstick in her hand waiting for action. Prompt as she always was. Jenn smiled and waved to her new replacement as she wished her luck on the rest of the game. As she hobbled toward the Hospital Wing, she wondered if the Oliver Wood look alike was working in there today...xD

Gryffindor Chaser and Co-Captain

Aliza was watching Jenn and no longer paying any attention to the quaffle - she seemed pretty badly injured. But then suddenly the quaffle came flying at her from nowhere. Thinking she grabbed by the tips of her fingers. She was just in time - any later and it would have fallen to the ground. Quickly tucking the ball under her arm she looked around to see where it could have come from - seeing Katie narrowly dodge a bludger she assumed it might have been her. Aliza quickly signalled to Katie - and Katie flew underneath her. The two flew towards the goalposts and Aliza aimed as if to shoot then she deliberately dropped the ball and Katie flew upwards to retrieve it. In a lightening fast movement she put the ball through the middle hoop.

Aliza cheered and high-fived Katie. Smiling she waited for the ball to be put back in to play.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

“Good job!” June called to Aliza and Katie. That had been great teamwork. Elated, June flew around randomly on cloud nine when suddenly, she heard a whish of air go right past her ear. Huh? The Gryffindor turned her head. What had that been? A bludger! June smirked wickedly and turned her broom. She raced after it, her bat clutched tightly in her hand. She was almost caught up with the black ball when she noticed a glint of gold directly in front of it… had someone decided it’d be fun to paint the bludgers? June had never noticed it before… Increasing her speed, June flew faster until she was side by side with the painted bludger. .. It was then that she noticed that the bludger wasn’t painted. Nope, not at all. That glint of gold had been the elusive snitch! And the bludger had been chasing it.

June scanned the pitch with her peripheral vision, while keeping up with the bludger and snitch. Cris… Cris… where was Cris? There she was! June saw her sister some feet away from her and signaled to her, getting her attention. She held her bat out, ready to swing. “Catch Cris!!!” June cried, hitting the bludger with her bat, which caused the bludger to hit the snitch, propelling the tiny golden ball towards the Gryffindor Seeker. Oops… the snitch was heading towards Cris… but so was the bludger! June smacked herself on the forehead. How could she have been so stupid?! Rolling her eyes, the Beater raced after both bludger and snitch. When June was parallel with the bludger once more, she twisted her body so she was facing the ball and brought her bat up so it was perpendicular to the bludger. “You are NOT going to hurt my sister!” June muttered and brought her bat down. She had expected it to hit the bludger, knocking it towards the ground… but at the last moment, the bludger slowed down and June’s bat just caught the edge of it, sending it spinning upwards.

“Oh brother…” June groaned. She stopped her broom and prepared to race after it, but before she did so, June glanced back at the Snitch. Yep, it had been undisturbed and was still heading towards Cris. Hoping her sister would get the ball, June looked back up towards the corkscrewing bludger. Steeling herself for the force of gravity, June pushed her broom and it instantly shot upwards, heading straight for the bludger. Flying faster and faster as she flew closer and closer towards the bludger, June raised her bat once more, determined to actually get the bludger this time. “Gotcha!” June cried and smashed the bludger towards Ginny, one of the Hufflepuff Chasers. Now, that girl had two bludgers racing after her, though June had hit the first one quite a while ago.

Gryffindor Chaser

Katie was happy she scored again and this time with Aliza. They really worked great together. As they were waiting for the quaffle to come back into play she hugged Aliza and did some loop-de-loops to vent some of her excietment. This was turning out to be a great game.

(Gryffindor Chaser)

Becca clapped happily, taking her grip off her room and immediently feeling the pain in her side increase. Yay! Aliza had scored...and Katie dodged the bludger! Her smile returned and the pain in her side was forgotten for the time being. She quick glanced around, turning her head quickly so that she wouldnt miss the moment when the quaffle to be put back in play. She almost let out a laugh as her eyes turned back to Katie, who was doing loops.

Becca's breath caught in her throat as she saw the bludger that was heading for Tina, but sighed in relief as she saw June fight it off. Good work, she thought to herself. She turned her attention back to getting ready for the quaffle.

(Gyffindor Seeker)

After the little snitch race with the Hufflepuff Seeker, Cris felt, yet again, slightly upset about losing the snitch, although she wasn't complaining - at least the Huffie hadn't got it. "It seems like the snitchy-snitch will be wearing Gryffie colours this time!", she thought gleefully and giggled. She was lucky to stop giggling in the right moment, because she had almost missed June's cry of “Catch Cris!!!”. Turning her head, she noticed a golden thing - the snitch! Oh god, the snitch! - flying towards her, from June. "Thanks, Juney, dear sis!", she called back, just before noticing a big fat bludger right behind the snitch. "Help?!", she exclaimed in a small, panicked voice but - against all reason - didn't fly away in hope that she would catch the snitch and escape the bludger nevertheless. However, she didn't neither have the courage to fly towards the snitch and bludger because, oh well, maybe some part of her wasn't yet so suicidal. Just as she was starting to say her prayers, she noticed that June had just knocked the bludger off to the sky. "I love you, Juney!", she thought and flew towards the snitch, which was still on its track and, if it didn't somehow turn again, would soon be in her arms. And then - she couldn't believe her eyes - she could nearly touch it - only a a spilt of a second really, then glory would belong to Gryffindor! She reached out her arm but the snitch had obviously decided something else, as it changed direction all of a sudden and flew downwards. "Merlin's beard, cut me some slack!", she yelled to the snitch, rolled her eyes, braked and turned her broom to face the ground. She was circling around her own axe while semi-falling (it was hard to keep control of the broom at that kind of angle) and trying not to lose track of the snitch, which was pretty tricky. "Ah, there you are!", she exclaimed and tried to steer her broom to the right, but she had unfortunately miscalculated the time it would take her to get to the ground becuase, as she tried to turn her broom, all that happened was that the nose of her broom bit into the ground, then skidded about a meter until it finally got stuck in the earth and threw her on the back, facing the sky. She brutally hit the ground and all she could feel was a great packpain and annoyment towards herself for being so foolish. She clenched her teeth in pain but then relxed them again and everything went black and she lay unconscious on the warm ground.

Smiling satisfied, June watched as her two bludgers neared Ginny. Then she looked down. And gasped. In horror. “CRIS!!!!!!!!!” June screamed agape at what she saw. Her sister was lying on the ground, apparently unconscious. June signaled to Swiftie, letting her know that she was going down to look after Cris. “I’ll be right back!” June told her fellow beater. Then, she turned her broom around and flew down to the ground. “Madam Pomfrey!” June called once she’d dismounted, “Help!” The mediwitch came bustling over and tut tutted at the sight of Cris on the ground. “Quidditch… I don’t know why the Headmistress allows it,” Madam Pomfrey muttered as she waved her wand and levitated the Gryffindor Seeker onto a portable Hospital bed from the Hospital Wing. June watched nervously as Pomfrey waved her wand in complicated figure eights over Cristina. “Ummm… Cris?” June asked softly as Madam Pomfrey finished her spells. She raised her worried eyes to look at Madam Pomfrey. “Madam Pomfrey, is… is she going to be okay?” June asked. The witch nodded absently, scanning the skies, wondering if she’d soon have another patient. “She’ll be fine dear,” Pomfrey replied, looking at Cristina. “She’ll probably wake up in a few minutes.” June smiled and breathed a sigh of relief. That was great news. “Now, you’d better get up and flying again,” Pomfrey continued, “I’ll watch over her, don’t you worry.” June nodded. “Okay.” She mounted her broom once more and kicked off, flying towards Swiftie. “She’ll be okay!” She said, laughing giddily. With that, June zoomed around, feeling as if she’d just gotten a boost of energy, and looked around for bludgers.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Ginny dodged two-or was it three?-bludgers before finally finding herself in the clear. June seemed to be out for vengeance or something. She couldn't quite spot the Quaffle yet, so she decided to remain low until an opportune moment presented itself-and when it did, she was sure to be ready and prepared. No one got past Ginny!! She was...good at...winny...ing? Okay, maybe that needed to be rethought.

Focusing back on the match, Ginny turned her eyes to the pitch and watched carefully.

(Hufflepuff Reserve Chaser)

Ingrid did a little twirl in the air scanning the sky for the quaffle. Suddenly out of the corner of her eye she spotted it. Making a sharp turn Ingrid raced after it and did a Badger Shuffe made by etta that helps the player get a better grasp at a ball. Holding it, Ingrid flew towards the hoops as she glanced down and saw the Gryffindor Team had their attention on their Seeker on the ground. With a wave she motioned Ginny to come to help her do a move called the Hufflepuff Reverse Swerve

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Oh goodness...the Seeker's hurt! she squeaked to herself, craning her neck to see what was happening on the ground below. However, it seemed as though the Gryffindor team had everything under control, so she turned back to face what was going on in front of her.

Upon seeing Ingrid's wave, Ginny flew over to her, ready to perform whatever move she had in mind."What's the plan?" she asked cheerfully, making sure to pay attention to whatever was happening out of the corners of her eyes.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

Ingrid had the quaffle!!! June twirled her bat in her hand and searched around for a bludger. The Hufflepuffs couldn't be allowed to score. Ah hah! There! And there were two of them! Grinning, June flew after them, twirling her bat as she went... twirling a wand was much easier. The gryffindor reached one of the bludgers and twirled her bat, giving the bludger a slight spin as it smashed into it. The bludger spun towards the general vicinity of the Hufflepuffs... It didn't look like it was heading for the Hufflepuff, but that was the beauty of this move... the Chaser wouldn't know what hit her, when the spin caused the bludger to slam into the quaffle at the last moment.

June flew to the other bludger and, raising her bat, performed the Random Lion once more, only this time, June's target was Ginny. She had evaded June's bludgers so far... and June was determined for that not to happen again... atleast not until June had gotten a hit in. The 2nd bludger hurtled upwards, away from Ginny, but June knew, from her many hours of practice, that at the last moment, the spin in the bludger would take effect and it would smash into Ginny.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

A whistling noise caused her to turn around quickly, just in time to see a lovely bludger come shooting at her. "HOLY MEEP!" she squeaked, "Badger DROP!" Flattening herself against her broom and flipping upside down, she allowed herself to lower a bit...which, unfortunately, due to the bludger's spin, ended up being right in its path. A sickening crunch and a spasm of pain in her right shin-she had been dangling that leg slightly by accident-alerted her to the injury. "Oh sweet muffins..." she whispered faintly. She could hear Madam Pomfrey swearing as she flew up now:
"Twice in the first game! I swear I'm going to speak to the Head Mistress about this..."Apologetically, as she attempted to right herself, Ginny said to Ingrid, "Sorry..."

June winced. Yes, she'd wanted to hit Ginny with the bludger... but not that hard! As Madam Pomfrey flew up, June drifted over to her friend. "Sorry Ginny," June said, biting her lip. "I'm sure Madam Pomfrey'll make you as good as new." At that moment, June realized that she was near Ingrid... whom she had just hit a bludger at. "Bye!" June said quickly and flew away, looking for the bludger that had hit Ginny.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Ginny winced as Madam Pomfrey began healing her-for some reason this time was taking longer and stung a bit more than the last time. "It's okay, June. All part of the game, right?" she responded with a slight smile as she finished off the blueberry potion Madam Pomfrey had stuffed in her hands. From the way she was muttering, Ginny could guess that Madam P didn't like how the injury she had just sustained was 'all part of the game'. "We done, PomPom?" Madam P seemed unable to speak, she just nodded and flew back down to the ground. Turning to Ingrid, Ginny asked cheerfully, "Okay, teammate, what's the plan?"

(Hufflepuff Reserve Chaser)

Hearing the sound when the bludger hit Ginny, Ingrid looked at her as she sat back on her broom and apologized. After making sure Ginny was alright, Ingrid quickly told her about the plan of scoring with the Hufflepuff Reverse Swerve.

Aproaching the hoops with the quaffle, Ingrid pretended to throw it in while actually throwing it behind her to Ginny. Flying out of the way, she gave Ginny a perfect change to score since the Gryffindor Keeper was now confused

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

As she listened intently to Ingrid's plan, Ginny's smile grew wider and wider and then turned into a full-fledged joyful grin. She hadn't used the Hufflepuff Reverse Swerve in quite some time, at least not since Flissy had been one of the Chasers, so hopefully the Gryffindors hadn't remembered the simple yet effective move. Getting into the correct position behind Ingrid, she flew at top speed as they swerved towards the Gryffindor goal posts and their keeper-her Charmed Chica Amber. She kept her eyes on Ingrid's arms, knowing she'd have ot be able to make the catch if the move was going to play out just right. Seeing movement, she tensed, ready to catch the Quaffle-which she then did with ease.

"Yippee!" she shouted, chucking the red ball full force into the center hoop, which was to her left.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

What had happened to the bludger she had hit at Ingrid?!?! June rolled her eyes, frustrated, but was now keeping tabs on her first bludger. It was trying to escape the cage that June had created by constantly moving her bat around it. Ingrid and Ginny were at the goals... grrr... And... just as she was about to hit the bludger at Ginny, she scored!!! Gag... June muttered angrily to herself and settled for hitting her bludger at Ingrid. That Hufflepuff was really getting on her nerves...

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"LOOK OUT YOU TWO! IM NOT PATCHING YOU UP AGAIN, MISS GINNY!

"What?" Turning around, Ginny saw just what. Heading straight for her was yet another bludger. Not this time she thought with gritted teeth as she did a loop-di-loop to avoid the deadly ball, pulling Ingrid into the loop with her so that the bludger wouldn't harm her either. It zoomed past the two of them, causing their robes to whistle slightly, and headed towards Amber, whom Ginny had been hovering straight in front of. Conflict gripped her heart. Ohhh no....not my flatthead!! Not caring that she was showing some slight team disloyalty, she shouted,

"AMBY! WATCH OUT!"

(Gryff Beater)

::Swift, almost 30 feet from Amber and Ginny, dived quickly, swerving a few Chasers on the way and almost colliding with Cris on her look for the Snitch. Muttering under her breath for not paying enough attention in the game, she reached the Bludger almost inches from Amber, getting ready to hit it without whacking Amber with her elbow.

With a crunch, Swift whacked the Bludger out of Amber's way, and, coincidentally, back towards Ginny, where it was heading before she moved. She cringed, not wanting her daughter to be hit or, at least, seriously hurt.

Avoiding what could happen, Swift flew away, finding June and giving her an apologetic look before going off to defend the Gryffindor team from more Bludgers.::

(Hufflepuff Reserve Chaser)

Realizing that she had spaced out, Ingrid quickly thanked Ginny for pulling her out of the way of the bludger. Glacing around Ingrid twirled around keeping one eye on June the Gryffindor Beater who was glaring at her for some reason..

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June gasped as Ginny ducked and the bludger meant for her was heading straight towards Amby! "Amber!" June shouted and spurred her broom faster, trying to reach her friend in time, but it didn't seem that she would. SWIFTY!!! She had gotten there in time! June stopped, relaxed, and let out a sigh of relief. As her friend flew off, June sent her a thankful look and winced as she realized that the bludger had rebounded towards Ginny. Poor poor Madam Pomfrey.

At that moment, June noticed a bludger hovering behind Ingrid... yes! June flew up many many feet, out of Ingrid's following eyesight, and around to her back. Amazingly, the bludger was still there. June took a deep breath, raised her bat, and smashed the bludger towards Ingrid's back.

(Hufflepuff Reserve Chaser)

Glancing back at where June was she realized she hadn't been paying attention. Eyes widening, Ingrid realized that another bludger was heading towards Ginny. Flying towards her Ingrid yelled "WATCH OUT!" and unknowningly made June miss her target.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June mentally screamed a long string of very colorful words... like green, yellow, and red. Only elaborated. The gryffindor then spied two bludgers out of the corner of her eye. Huh. Those gave her an idea... Shooting a glare at Ingrid's back, June flew up towards the bludgers. She waited in patient frustration until the circling bludgers got into alignment with each other. At that second, June was ready. She raised her bat and WHAM!!! Of course, the sound effects only occurred in her mind... but... whatever....

June watched strangely dispassionately as the bludger she'd hit smashed into the bludger in front of it and both of them with the added force were spiralling towards Ingrid. She hoped the play would be a success... she always loved using the Cub Compound... It usually worked well in practice, so June hoped it would work well in the game as well.

Gryffindor Chaser

Katie was watching the game with interest and also fear, she was still worried about Cris even with Madam Pomfrey's many reassurances. But she was getting all distracted... she should be getting the quaffle. Katie went towards the Gryffie goal posts where she had seen it last and saw as Madam Hooch Tossed it back into the air. Katie grabbed it and streaked off in the opposite direction. Careful to avoid the bludgers that June was so elaboratly hitting

(Hufflepuff Beater and Captain)

:Fed up with all the injuries her team was receiving and June's ability to bend time and space, Etta flipped.

Flying hard towards the Gryffindor goals, she swung her bat around her head, approaching a bludger at such high speeds should not be allowed as Etta brought her bat crashing on top of a Bludger.

The Bludger rocketted downwards in a quick straight line heading directly for Aliza. As the bludger hit the unawre Gryffindor Etta did something she hadn't done in along time. She crashed. Into Amber.

"Oh Huffle WIpe Out," she cried meekly as both she the gryffindor fell to the ground.:

(Hufflepuff Reserve Keeper)

Chelle ran onto the pitch, not daring to look at her watch as she made hurried appoligies to her team. Mounting her broom, he quickly positioned herself in front of the middle hoops and glanced around the pitch, taking in where everyone and every ball was.

(Gryffindor Chaser)

Katie watched as Etta and Amber crashed and fell to the ground. And as the bludger plowed straight into Aliza. Thankfully, her fellow chaser looked okay and was at least still on her broom. Amber and Etta, however were still flying through the air towards the ground. It was all so slow becasue Madam Pomfrey had slowed their falls from below. Katie hoped they would be okay. She turned around, the quaffle still in her hand towards Aliza to see if she was okay.

Gryffindor Chaser and Co-Captain

Aliza was sat on her broom her eyes on the quaffle totally unaware of the bludger that was hurtling towards her. When she finally realised it was much to late to avoid it and so it hit her straight in the stomach - knocking all the air out of her. As the bludger flew away she steadied herself on her broom and moved a little to check nothing was broken - luckily all was ok. She smiled slightly in spite of the pain and then gathered her thoughts.

Looking arond her she saw that Amber and Etta were falling to the ground and Katie had the quaffle. Thinking fast she decided that catching Amber would be more important than scoring another goal and so pressing herself flat against the broom she pushied it as fast as it would go and managed to get herself underneath Amber. Thanks to Madam Pomfrey's spell and a bit of quick manuvering from herself the catch was easy and relatively simple. She grinned and asked Amber "Are you alright?" while keeping an eye out for Amber's broom.

Gryffindor Chaser

Katie rushed over to where Aliza and Amber were huddled in mid-air the quaggle still tucked under her arm. She helped Aliza support Amber, and once Amber was safely on the co-captains broom, Katie streaked off in search of Ambers broom when she spotted it blowing off towards the Hufflepuff goal posts. She grabbed it, handed it to Amber, who climbed on, and went back to the match.

(Gryfifndor Seeker)

Cris blinked slowly and light protruded to her eyes. "So the world is not just an infinity of black ... sumfin'?", she though and turned her head, half-opening her eyes. She could see a blurry figure, that got closer. "Oh, already awake?", the figure said. Cris mumbled something like "Mmmmh who're you?", then opened her eyes wide and recognised Madam Pomfrey. "Oh... ". "You should still lie down a bit," Madam Pomfrey said, a worried tone in her voice, "that sport is still too dangerous for you in this state...". The word "sport" somehow rang a bell in Cris' mind, who suddenly remembered - "Quidditch! - We're in the middle of a Quidditch game and I'm lying here! That's - it's - it's ... outrageous! Ahhh, how could I have been so - stupid to injure myself like that?", she stuttered and got up, jumping off her bed. "Now missy, where do you think you're going?", Madam Pomfrey asked and reached out to grab her arm and force her to stay in bed, but Cris ignored her and quickly ran away. At the exit to the Quidditch pitch, she stopped in the doorframe and asked: "Oh by the way, who rescued me?" "It was your sister, June," Madam Pomfrey, her face lightening up a bit. "Such a sweet girl, worried herself half sick over you when she called me to take care of you." Cris smiled, but Madam Pomfrey continued. "At least for her sake, please stay here a bit more." "Err, no, but thanks!", Cris shouted and ran out, thinking about how lucky she was to have such a caring sister as June. She jumped onto her broom and straight into the air, first looking for June to thank her - then continiung her snitch-chase.

(Gryffindor Chaser)

Katie was relived when she saw Cris coming back on to the pitch. She waved to her fellow Gryffie who looked really happy considering she had been knocked uncosicous (sp?) When she saw Cris heading to June, katie resumed her mission of going to the Hufflepuff goal posts, after all she still was in possession of the quaffle.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

It all seemed to be happening in slow motion... There were Etta and Amber, falling to the ground... June knew that as Co-Captain, she should be doing something, rescuing her friends, catching them, alerting Madam Pomfrey... SOMETHING! Something more than sitting and staring on her broom, as if frozen in time. But why were things happening so slowly? She watched as Aliza swooped down to get Amber... and there was Katie, next to them... Glancing around, wondering what she should do, June saw Madam Pomfrey. She breathed a sigh of relief, and suddenly, everything clicked. Of course! As a Healer used to Quidditch games, of course Madam Pomfrey could slow the descent of the two players.

June grinned as Katie and Aliza helped Amber back onto her broom. She nodded at the Keeper and gave her a reassuring smile. Then, June jumped slightly one her broom when a blur of red and gold approached her. She flew backwards slightly, but stopped and hugged the figure when she stopped and June realized it was Cris. "You're awake!" June cried happily. From the corner of her eye, June saw Katie flying towards the Hufflepuff goals, the quaffle in her arms. Catching the Chaser's eye, June motioned to her, letting her know to incorporate Aliza into a play. Grinning giddily, June scanned the skies, looking for any free bludgers.
