| First topic message reminder :So we really dont know a lot about this movie yet But we do know that Kristen Stewart has been cast as Bella. And Im super excited I love her- though shes not my perfect Bella Im sure she can pull it off. I was debating earlier with Amby and Racey who would be the perfect Edward... (and the perfect Jacob)So If anyone has any thoughts.. slip them in. I cant wait for this movie hehe.

| Okay, I rented the movie Penelope today mostly because it has a new sneak preview of Twilight. I was a bit disappointed b/c I had seen the first minute or two online already. But I hadn't seen the actual movie scenes. It's the scene of Bella and Edward in the Cullen house, but it's a bit disjointed. And I really don't like the camera work. It's too... ametuer? But I liked the movie trailers, so I'm hoping that it's not the final, final cut. I watched it twice, and I did like it better the second time. I'm sure by the 5th or 6th viewing I'll be singing it's praises. But at the moment I feel like I'm watching a made for tv movie, that while it has a big budget, is still for the small screen.... Of course, it's already on youtube, so here's the linkI think both Pattison and Stewart are great in the scene... I'm just hoping it's the unpolished version, because at the moment it looks a bit Sweded. | |

| I agree, the whole scene looks a little awkward and unpolished, though I'm sure it will fit in much better once we see the rest of the movie with it. It seems like that fieldtrip scene we saw, not quite finished yet we know it will be wonderful in the actual movie. I've liked Rob and Kristin in other scenes, but this scene doesnt really seem to me like it shows them at their best...I adore that they kept Clair de Lune, though at the wrong spot. It's those little things that stick out the most and will make me start randomly sqee-ing in the movie theater. :D
I'm still trying to figure out whether I agree with them making a movie or not. On one hand, I think Catherine Hardwicke is doing as best as she can considering the fanbase and the movie itself will be really good, on the other hand I don't think the movie will be able to capture everything the book is and might butcher it slightly. Though I'm hoping it's just the first one. I hate when they make books into movies then completely ruin it and nobody ever finds out that the book was much much better.

| Well my feeling is that a person who isn't going to bother trying to read the book doesn't deserve to know the glory that it Twilight. Most books are better than the movie.. just one exception I can think of off the top of my head is Last of the Mohicans, movie great, book detestable.
People who are going to go see the movie without reading the book first probably don't read much to begin with, so they already suck. It's just like there are a few scenes in HP movies (Aberforth and the goat inn OotP) that are just for the book fans, because the movie fans have no idea of the background. I love that. It's like finally being rewarded for being a nerd!

| I saw it last night and...- Spoiler:
EPIC FAIL!
I honestly think it was awful. The acting really bothered me, Bella and Edward seemed to have no connection whatsoever except for in the couple cute scenes they kept in...I liked the minor characters SO much better than the leads! Bella's school friends were great, as were most of the Cullens. I don't know, it just didn't feel right at all.
And they took out so much, and added the most random stuff! Just stick to the book! So much better than what they came up with!
But I loved how Stephenie randomly showed up in the diner XD
And what was up with the ending?! Victoria doesn't show up at the prom...that's just...*headdesk*
*sigh*
Sorry, still upset about it and needed a mini-ranting place XD

| I saw it opening day and I was tackled by fellow Team Alice and Seth fans (I was e=wearing my Alice/Seth shirt) and I think- - Spoiler:
The is was not good at all. I agree almost 100% with you, Elana. I knew since the moment they casted Robert pattison that the movie would suck. I mean look at him *barfs* But the other vamps where good, and Jasper and Alice where the highlight of the movie. Bella was ehhh...and I think they did a great job with the other regualr humans, but I don't like Charlie or Jacob's fellow pack members, whoever those 2 where. Jacob was way to happy and nice. Stephanie Meyer's cameo roll was so cool! I loved it! And wtf what was Victoria doing at the prom? WEIRD! I just want them to pic someone cute to be Seth for the next movies, that's all I ask.

| I saw it Saturday and - Spoiler:
I was *really* disappointed. I did think Rob or Kristin was good at ALL and they didn't show any emotion throughout the entire movie.
I agree with Rose about the leads vs. the minor characters and Jacob being too nice. Bleck. Over all, I think that the movie was not worth seeing and one more thing: I don't think Rob is hot at all...though I must compliment him on his American accent cause there were only a few parts where it sounded a bit off.

| I saw it opening day and went to school.... that was a bad idea. I also saw it saturday and sunday, bringing me to a total of three veiwings. I absolutely loved it!- Spoiler:
Of course there were a few things I didn't like, but overall, I believe it was amazing and deserves the four stars that it got. One of my favorite parts was when Bella tells Charlie that she has a date with Edward. Charlie was cleaning his shotgun. He snapped the barrel back into place and said, "Alright, bring him in." I almost choked on my popcorn!
Yes, they took out alot, yes they added new stuff, but Twilight was, in my opinion, a better movie adaptation of a book than four out of the five HP movies. The HP movies suck, but Twilight was awesome. "Epic!" critics say. End of story.

I still say the movie sucked. Yes, it could have been way better, and yes, it could have been WAY worse. I stilol stand strong on what I said about the actors, though I do agree that one part was funny Emma XD Just.....no chemistry! I mean really! I felt nothing from it. Alice and Jasper had better chemistry then Bella and Ed! Which brings me to my favorite scene. THE BASEBALL SCENE. OMG baseball bats are now on my sexy list <3
And what is this about Hparry Potter movies sucking?
Please keep voicing your opinions!

| Finland premiere was yesterday - it was my fourth time seeing Twilight xD Anyway, I just wanted to let Team Jacob say that APPARENTLY there's not a huuuuuuge fanbase over here for poor Jake - only one person went "WOO!" when Jake came on the screen.
Sad.
Oh, and teenage girls (I mean, they were not older than 14 :D) went all weepy and angsty when they saw Edward. I don't really know why, because... he's hot xD Anyway, maybe they didn't like Rob.
Oh well...
OH! One more thing; I only YESTERDAY realized how FUNNY Twilight is :D I laughed, even if it wasn't supposed to be funny xD
Like when Edward gets turned into a vampire - his expression was just priceless! :D ANd then all the evil glaring, and all that... I didn't pay much attention to the lines this time, jsut watched the expressions - so much fun! xD

| I've been having mixed feelings about it. I think I was just so excited that I was finally seeing scenes I'd envisioned in my head that I liked it more than I would have otherwise. I haven't seen it a second time, because of how afraid I was that I would hate it. A couple days after I saw it, several of my friends were talking about it. They were all talking about it in a less than good light. It made me kind of think back to how truly bad the movie actually was. The glistening bit? Yeah, he just looked sweaty. One good thing I can say is that after having seen it, my friend Nikki finally read the series. They've now topped Anne Rice's vampire novels for her. That's an impressive feat. I'm just hoping the next three movies will be better. If the next one isn't, I don't think I'll bother with the other two. | |

All I can say is Edward is aweosme, but to me lost his charm after the first book. I liked him when he had the, like, mutipersonality disorder thing going on. THAT is hot.
Robert Pattinson.....I can't really get talking about that thing on here or I'll be kicked off *shifts eyes* The point is, it's a piece of lowlife that belongs in the crack of my combat boots, that can't act worth a bleep, and makes a hidious Edward. *runs and hides from fangirls*
And Jacob! Why does everyone hate him? Just because Edward appeared in the series first? Becuase his poor heart couldn't help but love Bella too? And may I say FIRST? I will never understand Jacob haters, I love the crap outa him!

| But Seth's rooting for Edward/Bella, so shouldn't you, too? :D
But honestly, what else could describe that moment better? BLING BLING :D That was my reaction in the book too; Bella described his skin to glitter like diamonds - BLING.

| hmmmm, you'd think. I don't hate Edward in the book, but I do hate Bella. And it's not like I'm a Bella/Jacob fan either. I feel the series would be better off if Bella just died or was never born. If Ed goes insaine, well, that's his fault. If jacob jumps off a cliff, I'm not stopping him. That's how I see it.
Well, when James bit Bella in the movie, I stood up and yelled NOM NOM NOM and got a lot of weird looks but thats how I feel every time they bite someone. lol nom nom nom....

| I AGREE! These books would be so much better if Bella just didn't exist. She whines too much. and, yes, I also believe she is too much of a Mary Sue.
I want her to die. But in a nice way. xD
I personally like Jake much better than Edward, but that's mostly because Edward is just too stalkerish and borderline abusive for my liking. But if you guys like it..whatever. Team Mike ftw. Because Mike would never try to eat her.
.... and for the record. the 'Bling Bling' makes me think of this jacka...i mean. jerk, in my class who goes all BLINGBLING whenever anyone tries to talk to him. Just in case you were wondering. I personally describe Edwards sparkliness with 'TWINKLE TWINKLE' but bling works the same. :D

| Okay, Bella is whiny. But she didn't really get whiny until the second book and third book when she was all angsty about the Jacob/Edward love triangle crud.
So, if Jacob didn't exist, Bella wouldn't have become whiny! XD
Plus, Edward was a bit stalkerish, but I think its only viewed as stalking if the "victim" of the stalking doesn't want the attention. Bella looooooooved being stalked by Edward (as I would). And abusive? It's Jacob manhandling her in the third book! Not that I hate Jacob- but, oh, how I wish he had just imprinted on Angela!
And let's face it, there would be no Twilight series without Bella- she's Stephenie Meyer's fantasy.
