masquerade ball

I pm'd elfie and asked and she said it was fine as it will get people into the spirit for the big masquerade event later on.

so here we are, a masquerade ball


::the great hall was decorated with a spectacular array of lights and tinsel as it awaited the arrival of the students in masks::

::She walked into the hall, mask on her face, wondering whether anyone would recognise her::

"I'm psychic!" ::Ginny laughed, her brown eyes dancing.::

"Oh yes how could I forget?" ::Amber joked.::

He placed his hnads on her waist carefully and smiled back, black hair hanging lazily in his eyes now. "Looks like this could go on forever." He chuckled, though he wouldn't object to the idea in anyway.

::She laughed softly, swaying to the music.::

"So true," Elana replied. If only it would....::

(lol, but now there's the Halloween Dance :D )

He held her close (but not too close under the eyes of GInny) and smiled. "Wish it would." He chuckled a bit and swayed along with her. "No more classes. Ha ha." He looked down into her eyes. "Even better is that I could just be here with you forever."

~Jesse had fallen asleep on top of a table and was covered up with the tablecloth~ He was dreaming a nice dream that was random and weird~

::Elana gazed back into his eyes, smiling.::

"There's nothing I would want more," Elana whispered truthfully. She realized just after she had whispered it that she hadn't kept that inside her thoughts like she had meant to. Her eyes widened to their full extent as the thought dawned on her.::

"Oh- God- I'm sorry," she said, blushing a bright beet red. How embarrassing...I barely even know him! You hopeless romantic, Lannie, she thought. Nice going...::

::Ginny glared at Boggy and Elana but turned away none the lest.::

"Oh well...I should allow it...this...once..." ::she mumbled before looking sadly at Jesse and shaking her head and then walking over to a table to make faces with the food.::

::Amber looked around.::

"I thinnk I may just leave, again," ::she said to herself.::

He smiled, a slight blush rising to his cheeks. He hadn't quite expected her to say anything back, but he was glad that she did. "Don't worry about it." He minded the glare that they recieved from her mother, frowning slightly before he looked back to her. "Its alright. Why not speak your mind, right?"

"So true," Elana said in a voice slightly louder than before. Thankfully, the bright blush had faded to soft pink, but she still couldn't believe she had said that. But he wasn't freaked out about it, well, he didn't look it anyway. She pushed it out of her mind, and concentrated again on dancing, hoping that the awkward moment wouldn't come back to haunt her and yet knowing that it would.::

He smiled and twirled her around once, then bringing her back to him. "You don't need to worry about that with me. Say whatever you want to me as long as you mean it." He pulled his leather gloves off one at a time, keeping on hand on her waist at a time, stuffing them into his pockets...they were growing quite annoying.

"Well..." Elana said, a small smile appearing on her face and spreading as the seconds passed, "Anything as long as I mean it? Alright then." She cleared her throat, and said, "I despise apple juice, but love cider and red apples. Blue is my favorite color. My patronus and animagus form would probably be a labrador. I love reading fantasy and Transfiguration is my favorite subject. And," she said, pausing for effect as she twirled around, royal blue dress flowing just under her knees, "I do believe I'm beginning to like this guy I've been dancing with as more than just a friend..."

~Suddenly Jesse awoke from his sleep and as he sat up he fell right off the table and onto the floor. He quickly got up, brushed himself off and realized it was time for him to leave so he staggered towards the door. But on his way there he bumped into a familiar red head and rubbed his eyes flashing her a warm smile. "Hey Ginny, I didn't know you were still here." He then looked around to see the place wasn't quite as crowded as before.~

~He then turned his blue eyes back to her. And without a word, took her hand, led her to the dancefloor then turned to face her.~

"I would like a dance with you, before this night ends." He said rather gentlemanly-well as gentlemanly as he could get~)

~And not giving her a chance to say no he put his hand on her waist as his other hand clasped with hers and started to dance slowly with her as a slow song played.~

"This has been one long and crazy night...it's gone from wild to romantic to nuts to party central to...romantic again." he sighed with a half smile.~

::Ginny blinked up at Jesse and laughed::

"Well, you seem to have had a more interesting time here than I have. I've mostly been watching Elana and Boggy." ::she snuck a peak over Jesse's shoulder to make sure they were still behaving. The red head then faced him again and rolled her eyes.::

"By the way, I absolutely love how you waited for me to answer you when you asked me to dance. It was very nice of you." ::She said all of this....somewhat sarcastically but was actually glad she had someone to dance with and was also glad that it was Jesse.::

"So...this is like the Ball that never ends, huh?"

"It seems that way" He replied as he spun her around slowly then back again.~

~He glanced back at the newlyweds Elana and Drake~ "Seems like those two are happy" then he leaned in and whispered "but if Drake messes up can i crucio him?" he asked~

Seamus wandered into the hall, only haveing just caught wind of the masquerade ball. He figured it would be a complete waste of time...unless he could find Drake that was. His eye first fell upon Drake, dancing with Elana, but then he heard the unmistakable voice of his oh so loving father, Jesse who was dancing with Ginny, of course. "Now dad, don't go Crucioing Drkae," he would smirk and looked over at the other dancing couple, "let me do it."

::She grinned::

"But of course, you wouldn't be a proper father if you didn't, and I wouldn't be a proper mother if I didn't let you." ::Ginny said. The red head turned to Seamus and sighed. He had just called Jesse 'Dad'::

"My goodness...another one, Jesse? You really ought to set a limit for yourself kids wise."

Seamus blinked and looked to Ginny. "You must be Ginny!" He smiled broadly, dark eyes flickering. "My soon-to-be-mother I've heard so much about! Don't you look lovely!" Seamus would twirl his wand in his fingers, eyeing Drake. "Why have a limit? Then you have more little spies to keep an eye on that one." He pointed at Drake with his wand, grinnind wickedly.

"H-heard so much about?" ::the red head asked, surprised. Ginny rounded on Jesse and whack him on the shoulder.::

"Have you been saying embarassing things about me to your kids?" ::she asked accusingly. Ginny grinned over at Seamus::

"Well, you see, I think that around 35 little spies are a good enough number...but you tell that to him."

~Jesse smiled proudly~ "Yes Seamus, this lovely redhead is the one I was telling you about. She's got a fiery temper but she is absolutely stunning"

~he got whacked by ginny and looked to her~ "Don't worry, I was simply saying what a lucky man I am to have a fiance` like you" he then kissed her hand. "But...you may have a point...perhaps I should stop adopting?" He mumbled though it was more of a question.~

"Nothing bad, I assure you." His eyes flicked back from Drake to Ginny and Jesse. "I've heard nothing but good things, trust me." He leaned in a bit closer. "Though Drake did tell me that you're a bit scary and he'd rather avoid you." Seamus said with another evil grin.

"Indeed, she can be but that's just cuz she's a great mother to all of her kids" Jesse replied. "She watches out for them and once we're married we'll combine all of our kids together. I do hope you attend our wedding once we can figure out when to have it." He said to Seamus~

"Anything." He nodded, smiling as he spied Seamus out of the corner of his eye. He listened to her tell him each thing and a light blush came to his face at the last bit. "Well, I happen to love apple juice and cider and I prefer golden apples. My favorite color is orange and my Patronus happens to be a wolf. My Animagus form would probably be a white fox. My favorite subject is probably Potions even though I don't fancy the teacher very much and Quidditch happens to be one of my passions." He pasued and dipped her back a bit, ignoring the presence of his brother. "And I believe that I feel the same way."

"I can tell." Seamus pointed his wand at Drake warningly and smirked. "So once you combine your children I'll be one of how many?" He chuckled a bit, turning his eyes back to Jesse. "Of course I'll come to the wedding! What kind of son would I be if I didn't?"

"Well my son, you have 36 siblings from just my side and I think another 10 something once I marry her." He then handed him the keys to his new porshe. "Here you go son, for your birthday, sorry I couldn't get you a private jet but they were all pink. Hope you forgive me son." ~He also handed him his own stack of credit cards." That should tide you over for a week." ~he said

::Ginny rolled her eyes and sighed.::

"No, I think it's only one that you're not the father of from me...and that's Clair." ::she reminded him. She couldn't resist laughing, so she clapped her hand over her mouth to muffle the sound.::

"Oh no, not a private jet? Why I think Seamus will plan to disown you, Jesse."

~Jesse laughed~ "If he disowns me then I'm cutting him out of my will." Then he turned to Ginny, waved his hand and a white rose with a green stem appeared in his hand. He stepped closer to her and gently slid the rose into her hair over her ear.~ "Now you can't say that I never gave you anything nice." He winked with a chuckle as his cheeks turned red~

::Ginny smiled and touched the rose in her hair gently.::

"Now whatever makes you think I'd say that?" ::she said as she hugged him tightly.:: "Hm..you're blushing." ::she said with a slight laugh.::

~He hugged her and then whispered in her ear~"Well uh you have moments where you would say that just to whack me." Then he laughed lightly and motioned to the floor.~ "Do you want to dance?"

"Ah, well, I'm still going to have to whack you occasionally. It's part of my job description." ::she grinned.::

"Hm..it depends...you going to 'behave'?"

"Well that's good," Elana said with a smile, "if you didn't I'd have to leave right this minute and you'd soon be Crucio'd by my dad, mum too, probably."

::She looked over at her parents, who were dancing, and spotted Seamus talking to them.::

"You think he's going to start trouble?" she asked.

"Yes!" Seamus' eyes widened as he took the car keys and the credit cards. "Who needs a jet...I have credit." He laughed mischievously and stuffed the cards into his pockets, wandering away from his father. "Thanks, dad." His eyes gave a wild flicker as he turned his attention back to Drake.

~Jesse smiled proudly~ "Have fun son!" Then he turned back to Ginny and smiled. She looked so ravishing that he just couldn't take his eyes off of her. But he then noticed people staring at him so trying to hide the redness in his cheeks he chuckled and then cleared his throat." Uh..s-so Gin, great ball huh? I like your dress." He shuffled his feet looking a tiny bit shy.~

(~has just watched a cutesy romantic movie~)

::Ginny tried to stifle her giggle but couldn't.::

"Why, thank you Jesse. I'm glad you like it. Since I obviously live to please you, maybe I'll wear it more often." ::she said with a mischievous grin.:: "Come on, let's dance." ::she pulled him back over to the dance floor-they had slowly migrated away from Elana and Boggy and that distance had made Ginny uncomfortable.::

~Jesse laughed then went back to the dancefloor making sure that he and Gin were purposefully close enough to Elana and Drake and started dancing again~

::Elana rolled her eyes, not believing her parents. At least they were dancing together, that was a good thing.::

"Having a nice night Mum? Dad?" she said, making sure they knew she knew they were there.::

~Jesse smiled to his daughter~ "Of course my daughter are you and your hubby having a good time?"

~He then smiled~ "It's really great that your mother and I are married and finally together." He sighed happily as he lightly kissed Ginny's cheek and wrapped his arms around her contently~ "I'm the luckiest guy in the world" he said. Then he looked to his daughter and son-in-law. "So, I take it you two are having a happy marriage?" He raised a brow~

::Ginny blushed and hugged Jesse. She laughed at Elana and Boggy.::

"Yes, you better be having a happy marriage. Or else I will have to take drastic motherly measures!" ::she winked and jerked her head at her wand, which was tucked into the sash of her dress.::

"Yes, listen to your mother Elana and your mother in law, drake"

~Jesse laughed and then also knew that he himself would need to be on good behavior to avoid getting a good whack from both her and her mother. ~

::She laughed slightly.::

"Ah, so you do know a thing or two. Come on, we stopped dancing. And that's not fun." ::Ginny grinned and spun Jesse in a circle.::

::Elana laughed, grinning, and said, "Of course, it's going well...But," she continued in a whisper, "this is the thread where we met....and in this thread we haven't gotten married."

::She made a shushing gesture, giggling.::

"And yes, it is wonderful that you two have finally gotten married."

~He got turned in a circle and chuckled at Ginny as he spun her around."Heh, my dear, I was giving you a moment to catch your breath but if you insist; now is this better?" He grinned as they broke into the tango~

::Ginny smiled as she was spun around and leaned towards Jesse, whispering.::

"Take it easy, the kids are watching you know." ::she winked at him and jerked her head at Elana and Boggy::

~He chuckled~ "Oh you know me" He grinned as he glanced to his daughter and son in law~

::Rolling her eyes, she nonchalantly replied.::

"Unfortunately I suppose..."

"Unfortunately?" He blinked. "And just what does that supposed to mean?" He asked raising a brow.~

"Hmm...I don't know." ::Ginny said with a grin as she looked up at him.:: "I didn't really mean it."

::Kitty giggled then sighed happily at the romance between the couples and then looked around.This was a wonderful ball::
