so here we are, a masquerade ball


::the great hall was decorated with a spectacular array of lights and tinsel as it awaited the arrival of the students in masks::

::She walked into the hall, mask on her face, wondering whether anyone would recognise her::

~Gets in the Conga Line~

"Everybody Conga!" He shouted and shook his bootie side to side as the line started to form~

:Keelin laughed, she was having a blast!:

"Under the Limbo!!!!" she shouted, bending backwards ans succesfully managing going under the limbo stick without falling! "Wooo Hoo!!"

~bending himself backwards, Jesse went under the limbo stick with no problem~

"Next!" he shouted to the girls~

:Keelin looked around, so she decided to again since nobody wasn't around:

"How low can you go?" she asked, the next peson on line, teasingly when she was done

OC: I go away for one afternoon.....and looks waht happens!

*fireworks explode*

::Elana jumped, coming out of her daze. Where'd everyone go? she thought, realizing that she was alone. Sad! Looking around, she saw her them all in a limbo line, cutting through the middle of the dance floor. She had never been good at limbo, but she decided to join the party anyway. Laughing, she went to the end of the line.::

::The girl that had accidentally spilled punch on herself (I think) had just gone under the limbo stick and called, "Next!" Looking around in suprise, she realized that there was only one person between herself and the stick. She grinned happily, thinking of how wonderfully the night had turned out.::

*Shae's nice chat with Skully was instantly crushed when the same man who had greeted her earlier dragged Skully away and started dancing with her. Shae smiled at the man's bubbly personality and was amazed at the fireworks show he could put on. Once the group started doing the conga line she threw her hands in the hair.

"Aw what the heck." she exclaimed as she joined in. Soon though the conga line was finished and they started doing the limbo, she never was very good at that game so she went back and sat down. Well at least i sort of got to dance like i wanted to, well actually I wanted to do a slow dance, but that was just as fun. Shae took a sip of someones drink that was placed at her table, she could care less who's it was, she drank after people all the time and it wasnt like the person that the drink belonged to would know...or mind for that matter*

:Keelin got bored of the conga line and broke away for some fresh air. She stood alone by the refreshment stand, fanning herself to try and cool down. It was getting way too hot in here!:

~Suddenly slow music came on and Jesse was in the mood to slow dance with someone. His soft blue eyes looked around, wondering if anyone was interested~

:Keelin sat down near the dance floor to watch all the couple who brought dates dance to the slow tune. It was her favorite song, she forgot the words to it and the person who sang it for that matter. So, instead she sipped her drink, humming the tune and noddding her head.:

OC: I think I'm already addicted to this site! LoL

OC: LOL Keel! Doesn't take long, eh?

::Slow music came on. Elana broke away from the limbo line, looking for someone to dance with.::

:Keelin dropped her head on the table, she was getting border by the second! She made a note to ask the Dj to put on the electric slide later, to heat things up:

looks around at the decorations of the Great Hall. It was gorgeous! Dressed in a black dress with white wings and a white face mask, Cher-rae entered the ball room. She wondered what adventures would come with it.

(I hope I did it rite. Im fairly new to the rpg thing.)

(OOC: so like I guess you dont have to be charachters anymore *just read everything thats been happening.. I miss Rping soo much and since no one ever invites me to RPG with them in chat.. you know this is the best I could do and I doooont want to be a guy so *hangs up her blaise mask and becomes Jessica Riddle)

::Jess ran into the great hall a little late... ok alot late she ran into wearing a green satin halter dress that went to her mid thigh her heels killing her feet as she ran in incrediously late she slipped her gold mask on but there was no mistake at who she was you could spot her eyes anywhere... no one elses eyes could go from midnight blue to a light purple when they were upset but hers::

~Jesse raised a brow as he saw a very beautiful girl in a green dress enter the ball in the distance. But as she came closer and more into view, his blue eyes suddenly became fixed on her; unable to tear his gaze from her elegant form. He felt it. his subtle heart beat began speeding up as he admired her~

As he thought he saw her glance his way, he felt his heart began beating with a thunderous pounding that started in his chest and reached down to his feet.~

~ His hands, were now sweaty and butterflies fluttered in his stomach as his breath caught in his throat. He was entranced by her.~

*She slowed her pace when she got inside and sighed happily at finally getting to the ball, she slid over to an empty table and took a seat*

* She slid her fingers through her striaght brown hair and glanced at a tall blonde who looked strangly familier but she couldnt tell*

*she glanced over at him a few more times taking in his form trying to figure out who he happened to be*

~he had to stop himself from carpeting the floor with saliva from his opened mouth~

~He couldn't think where he'd seen her, but he felt something familiar about her~

~Absently he straightened his black mask and decided to get a closer look so he pretended to need a drink and walked over towards the refreshment table.~

~However, he wasn't watching where he was going and tripped over his own feet and clumsily fell face first onto the table of refreshments, ~CRASHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!~~breaking the whole table, covering himself in punch and catching the attention of those who looked around to see what that loud crash was~

~He was utterly embarassed...~

::Jess heard a loud crash and looked up too see the boy she had been inspecting had landed flat on his face crashing into the refreshment table::

"hah had a nice trip?" She giggled.. she was a slytherin after all taunting was her job::

~Jesse lay face down in the punch bowl at first for a moment. But then coughed and sputtered as he lifted his head out of it, punch and deserts of all sorts fell from his features.~

~As he tilted his head up, his blond bangs that were now dripping wet and discolored to a pinkish red- dripped punch down his face and some of it off of his lashes.~

~As he went to hoist himself onto his elbows he groaned seeing his nice jacket and white shirt under it was soaked.~

"Ugh..just great..." he grumbled but the sound of a voice startled him and he looked up seeing the girl in the green satin dress.~

Hearing her taunting teasy comment, he chuckled nervously, and coughed lightly. "Well, this was one trip I hadn't planned on taking..." he replied as he slowly picked his punch and pastry covered body off the broken table that now lay in pieces on the floor~

::Elana, hearing a loud crash, jumped and looked at the refreshment table. The blonde boy in the black mask had just brokent the table. Covering her mouth with her hands, she did't know weather to laugh or go over and help. She was just about to go and see if he was all right when a girl in a green dress walked over to him. He'll be fine, she thought.::

::Elana walked over to the redheaded girl who was still sitting alone at a table. Grinning, stood in front of her and held out her hand to the girl.::

"Wanna dance?" she said, wanting to give the girl a chance to have some fun. The redhead didn't look like she had wanted to come in the first place.

::she lookeed at the boy who was covered in food and wet from the punch::

"scourgify(sp?)" she said sighing and pointing to the broken table and again pointing this time at him. She had felt some sorrow for him I mean even as the Dark Lords daughter she still had a heart.

"Are you ok?" She asked.

~He raised a brow as his clothing was suddenly back to clean and not a trace of the food or drink was left on him~

"Yeah, I'm okay now...um...thanks." he said with a slight nervous smile.~

As Shae sat at her table, she couldnt help but giggle uncontrollably at the man she had seen early crashing onto the floor. how embarrassing she thought, I am sooo glad it wasnt me. She watched as he got up and brushed himself off, but then went back to twirling the loose strand of hair hanging closely by her eye. All the excitement was over so she decided she couldd go back to being bored.

::Lifey glidded into the ball on her tall strapy, almost, matalicy teal heels wearing a georgous satin dress. It was strapless and form fitting to just past her waist, where it became loose and flowing down to the ground. from the bodice, down to her waise and down her sides, there were sparkles scattered over the smooth material. the skirt of the dress formed a slight train in the back. It was a wonderful teal color that brought out her long straight brown hair it and matched her mask.

Her mask was also teal, but was covered in clear crystals, so that it sparkled to match her dress. The mask did not cover her entire face, but only from the top of her eyes to her nose. from the left top side of the mask, two teal feathers trailed down, just brushing her shoulder, on which rested a teal, sheer wrap.::

:She wore her signature jewelry, also her birthstone: pearls.::

(i'm sorry, i know that was a pain to read, but i have this perfect dress pictured in my mind.)

:: She circled the room slowly surveying the events of the ball::

::Caree walked to the Great Hall in her neon pink tux and her neon pink hat covering her eyes mysteriously. She lift her hat slightly and scanned the Hall with her eyes and flashed a million dollar smile before twirling her bling bling cane in her hand and walked towards the drinks. She sat down and rubbed her hands together with a evil grin on her lips, while looking at the drinks in front of her...::

"Whaa?" ::she looked up at skully and lift her hat and made a little bow:: "Ah, hey skully, you look pretty! I never really liked dresses, so mwehh, a neon pink tux..." ::she said smirking.::

::She mumbled randomly under her breathe and took a sip from her glass and looked around in the hall. No one interesting, she thought and started to drum her fingers against the table.::

"Hey, how's everyone doing?" ::she asked, trying to start a conversation with the persons around her.::

"Thanks, you look awesome too....Skully?" ::Lifey hugged her:::

I'm waiting to dance :Lifey said to Caro:

Omg i looove congaing!!

::And lifey was off congaing with skully and caree::

Oh for heavens sake ::Lifey sighed::

I'll just wait to dance withsomeone then

::She huffed and grabbed herself some jessefied punch.::

ew, it's got clumsy brother all over it :she sighed and set it down::

::She smiled and wondered who he was he seemed so familier she studied his eyes and instantly new who it was Jesse::
"Jesse?!?" She asked surprised.

*shae watched as even more people arrived. She recognized Caro in her completely awesome pink tux and she thought that the other one might be Lifey but she wasnt sure. She wished that they would play some of her kind of her music so that she could dance, but she was fine sitting there observing people, she liked to do that. Observe from afar.*

Jess heard the song end only to find promiscouse come up right after it. She was glad the music style chnaged.

OC: Gosh, I forgot Ginny was away! Shouldn't have just asked her to dance....

::Elana saw two girls enter the ball, both familiar looking. Grinning, she turned to the redhead. "I've got to go, but later if you want to dance, just find me!"::

::Happily, she quickly walked over to the girls, lifting her dress slightly so she would be sure not to trip.::

"Skully! Lifey! Carreeeee!" she said, coming up to them. "My, my, my, don't you all look stunning! Recognize me?"

::She grinned, holding out her hand.::

"Anyone want to dance with 'Lana?"

She looked away from Jesse and saw Elana ask a few new people that came in if they wanted to dance. She was irking to dance...her feet were on fire!

::Lifey sat with a group of girls she was fairly sure where Skully, Shae, and Caree.::

::She really wanted to dance, but didn't see anyone particularly interested in her.::

::Suddenly...Elana? it WAS! came and wanted to dance::

Definatly Lana, I LOVE you're outfit by the way!

::and lifey jumped up to dance::

::Caree sat and looked as people danced around her, with a slightly bored expression. She slowly slid down on the floor and crawled under the table with her drink and started to sing like a five year old.::

"If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands ::clap clap!:: If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands ::clap clap!:: If you're happy and you know it, then you really ought to show it, if you're happy and you know it, clap your hands! ::CLAP CLAP!::

"I'm bored!!!" ::she stated loudly and started to pout.::

::Gleefully, Elana grabbed Lifey's hand and led her to the dance floor where the slow dance was still playing.::

::Blonde walks in...just a bit late wearing a pink gown and mask. Then she looks at Shae evily::

::Lifey laughed at how rediculous two girls dancing a slow dance together must look, but brushed it off because she's crazy and doesn't care and loves to joke.::

::Reaching under Caree's table, Lifey and Lana pulled Caree up and out into a strange sort of three way slow dance::

::Lifey sat down where skully used to sit.::

::she had had fun dancing with the girls, but she really wanted to dance with a guy.::

Is my dress now pretty enough? ::she thought to herself::

::suddenly, a boy in a mask walked over to her. He had dark dark hair, light blue eyes, and was tall::

::he reminded her of someone from her old school (haha three guess who? *sighs over her crush*). He asked her to dance::

::Lifey stood and took his hand as he pulled her out to the dance floor::

::After that being pulled from under the table, she watched as her friends danced with some guys. She was bored. Very bored. Very very bored. Very very very bored. Very very... well, you got the point.
A guy suddenly came to her. He offered his hand to her with a light smile. Caree answered the smile and lift her eyebrows curiously.::

"Yes?" ::she questioned.::

"May I have this dance?" ::the guy asked politly.::

"Naah, i don't dance... and i just don't like you!" ::Caree said, not caring how rude she sound. She just didn't want to dance.
When the guy left, she took another sip from her glass and layed down on the bench. Trying to count the stars she saw through the ceiling, she noticed how bored she actually was...::

~Jesse didn't recognize Jess just yet, and so he thanked her for her help and then turned and strolled over to the wall and started climbing up it all to way to the top and sat in the rafters watching everyone below~

*Shae noticed her friend Shelty giving her an evil glare, and she knew what she was planning on doing. She is so totally gonna make them play one of our dance songs! Shae thought with a slight grin as Shelty walked by and sat down.

"I didnt think you would be showing up here." Shae told her. "but i'm glad you did cuz i am bored out of my mind!"*
