9th House Quidditch: RAVENCLAW V GRYFFINDOR: 4th - 8th

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber looked and saw prinny.::

"Finally!" ::she called down to her.Then looked around for any bludgers.::

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Jimmy narrowed his eyes. SHE RUINED THE PLAY!

Cursing under his breath, he wheeled his broom around, signalling for Lana to follow him as they screamed down the pitch back to their own goals. He reached the Quaffle first, giving it a thump with his bat to Elana, who thumped it right back at him as he turned. They both began flying down the field, beating it from one to another as they neared the goalposts.

"Go go go!" He shouted, giving it a final whack to her as he veered off.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::Very much angry that their protection hadn't worked in the least (grrr prinny), Elana nodded at Jimmy. Time for a Beater play. Elana quickly rose up and zoomed towards the Ravenclaw goals. Jimmy got to the Quaffle and hit it towards her. She hit it back and together they were across the Pitch before the Gryffindors knew what was going on. They neared the Gryffindor goals and Jimmy passed it to Elana one last time. She hit the Quaffle to Lifey, hoping that her friend would catch it and score.::

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber looked in shock there was no way that move was legal! Beaters weren't suppost to mess with the quaffle. She hoped the judges would catch that. She saw a bludger fly over near her and grinned.::

"Looks like things are looking up after all!" ::she said hitting the bludger strait at the quaffle. She watched as it fell right into a Gryffindor Chaser's hands.::

(gryff chaser)

::prinny watched the ravenclaw beaters, sure that this was cheating she sat back on her broom and hoped the judges would knock off points. until then she decided to wait for a slight break in their defences::

::then prinny saw that amber had managed to hit the quaffle out of ravenclaw play. grabbing she flew down the pitch looking for support, finding none she threw the ball straight threw the middle hoop::

(gryff chaser)

::Amy caught the quaffle that the bludger sent spriralling towards her, and flew towards the goalposts, indicating that amber should fly alongside her to provide a defense.

She neared the goals, and prepared to score.::

Fuming, Jimmy soared into the air, chasing an errant bludger before smashing it in the direction of the Gryffindor chaser who'd picked up their quaffle.

"Stupid quaffle..." he muttered under his breath, as he flew back into the melee.

(gryff chaser)

::Jimmy's bludger got no where near her, so Amy carried on flying forwards and threw the quaffle towards the goal.

It soared through, giving Gryffindor another 10 points.::

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::Elana, fuming, flew after another Bludger and hit it at the Gryffindor Chaser that had the Quaffle. She watched the Bludger zoom towards the Chaser, wishing with all her heart that it would hit her and the Ravens would regain posession of the Quaffle.::

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber who had known what to do was close by Amy, and quickly whacked away the bludger.::

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::Elana decided to use her anger for good.::

::She flew to the Bludger that Amby had hit and using both of her hands on her bat-

CRACK

- she hit it and out it flew towards Amby. It was speeding faster than any other she had hit that game.....she was furious.::

"Darn Gryffindors," she muttered, watching her Bludger.::

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber turned and saw the bluder speeding towards her. She looked with wide eyes at it and tryed to hit it, but she was to late.::

Crack!

::Her broom was now in half and before she knew what was happening she was falling. She let out a high and very loud scream.::

"AHHH!!!!"

(gryff chaser)

::prinny heard a scream and turned around. she saw that amber was falling to the ground, fast. not quite sure what to do she decided to try and catch her. pushing her firebolt toward amber she sped through the air. urging it forward she flew underneath her and just managed to catch her. holding her broom with one hand she steadied herself. looking over at amy she said:: "a little help please amy!"

(Gryffindor Beater)

"Thanks Prinny," ::Amber said.:: "What are we suppose to do now I need to have a broom I can't just be flying around on the back of yours."

"we'll figure something out, but untill then hold tight"

(Gryffindor beater)

::Amber nodded and saw a bluger heading their way, she quickly hit it careful not to hit prinny.::

(gryffindor chaser)

Traci walked out into the pitch rather late but she was carring two extra brooms just in case she didnt know why but something told her too. she walked out into the middle of the pitch and saw a,ber and prinng sharing a broom she kikcked of the ground with the extra broom in hand and flew over yo prinny and amber "whats going on" she asked

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber quickly grabbed the other broom and switched between brooms in mid air.::

"Long story!" ::she said.:: "Watch it!"

::She quickly whacked the oncoming bludger toward a Ravenclaw chaser.::

(Gruffindor Beater)

::WL rushed onto the pitch with her gear flying everywhere and pushed off into the air::

"Hey Amber! Need help?"

"Yeah! WL wher've you been! You're late!!"

"I know! I'm sorry...I had a ton of homeowrk and too long a story...I'm here now"

::WL turned as the back of her hair prickled in warning, just in time to whack a bludger away from her in the nick of time. Fortunately, it didn't go anywhere near a Gryffindor player, but a few of the Ravenclaw chasers were slightly shaken up and daxed when it swished past them::

"C'mon...we need a plan...how about Play 18?"

Amber thought over it and nodded, both of them setting out in different directions towards the bludgers, getting ready for the play::

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber flew off and got to the nearest bludger. She waited for WL to give the signal.::

"Atleast she made it."

(Gryffindor Beater)

::WL grabbed the other bluidger before the ravenclaws could and nodded to Amber. Simultaneuosly, they both charged towards the goalposts, dribbling the bludgers, and swapping over every now and again...Thay Gryffie chasers recognised the play and organised themselves to suit it and get the full benefit fromthe play::

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Stephy flew over to Elana and whispered to her this "Hit the bludger towards the gyrffindor with the quaffle ill flew close by and grab the quaffle if they drop it"

Hoping that the plan would work Stephy flattened herself aganist her broom and quickly flew to the chasers with the quaffle barely dodgeing a bludger.

Stephy slowed down when she was behind Waterlily and waited for the Bludger.

(Ravenclaw reserve Keeper)

*Brunette watched the quaffle go for one of the hoops, but thanks to her agility Brunette saved it just in the nick of time. She smiled nervously at Elana and passed the quaffle to Lily*

(Gryffindor Beater)

::WL saw stephy tailing her, eyeing the bludger that was in her position. Grinning slightly, she quickly performed a Beater's Loop, which took her and the bludger underneath and around stephy so that a good attack position was achieved. Stephy looked around nervously to find WL, but before she could do much, stephy's broom was sent into a spinning Catherine Wheelie, spinning nearly out of controll, as the bludger hit her from behind/side.

Regaining control of the bludger, WL continued forwards, getting nearly neck'n'neck with the Gryffie Chaser in the goal area and Amber...::

Jimmy gunned his broom towards Stephy, holding out his hand to her as she struggled to regain control of her broom. He felt her clutch at it as he streaked on, forcing her broom to follow. He nearly came off at the tug, but held onto his trusty Comet firmly with his left hand, his bat under his arm. Within a few seconds, her spin had been rightened and he let go, arcing round her.

"Everything alright stephy?" He asked, pulling his bat out from under his arm and hitting a passing bludger out of the way as it sailed towards him.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

"Great work Holly!" (correct me if I got your name wrong ) cried Elana before flying over to Stephy. "You ok?"

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber got closer to a near bludger. She quickly was in arms length and used both arms and hit it toward the nearest Ravenclaw.::

::prinny grabbed the quaflle and flew to the other end of the pitch. unfortunately the ravenclaws now had a keeper so she feinted to the left and scored into the right hoop::

::WL went forward with Prinny andhelped her to score once again by being in the scoring area and hitting abludger at the same time as prinny shot...it was the classic do or die position...no-one could ever pull it off without a scratch, so yet another goal was scored!::

Traci grinned at the progress she looked at the score board and got th quaffle before any ravenclaw had a chance she zoomed over to the hopps hid the quaffle and yelled " OI HOLLY" she looked the other way and traci got in another goal before reposying herself and getting other goal in she looked around for somebody to throw the quaffle to

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Jimmy soared upwards, striking a bludger towards WL, who looked to be in a position to threaten Lily's approach. Without waiting to see if it hit home, he pushed his broom back into a dive, curving on his approach to fly straight across his chaser as she moved into the scoring area.

"Don'tlettherebebludgersdon'tlettherebebludgers..." He muttered over and over again as he swooped past, swinging his bat randomly as he went. If all went to plan, he'd have thrown the Beater's aim off balance, and hopefully distracted any incoming chasers, buying time for Lily to fly through his wake and onto the goal.

As he turned his broom sharply, he had to duck his head to one side almost instantly to avoid a collision from a bludger flying past. With instinct born from many practices with the reserve team, his bat-hand immediately shot out, hitting the ball in the direction of the nearest crimson-cloaked player.

To his delight, he realised it was Amber, back on a new broom brought up to her by hear teammates. Even if she swerved to avoid it, it would still throw her off enough for Lily to pass the final layer of defence before the hoops.

Jimmy swung his bat over his head as he soared over the pitch.

"Yeah Ravenclaw!" He yelled, over the noise of the crowd.

(ravenclaw chaser)

::Lifey clapped and cheered for lily as she scored.::

"ten more to ravenclaw...we have a chance!" ::she cried happily::

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber groaned. Darn, but no worrys. She looked around and saw that there was something going on.::

"Wonder what," ::she murmered aloud flying over to see exactly what was going on.::

(ravenclaw chase)

::Lifey grabbed the quaffle as it was tossed in climbed in altitude...a few hundred feet higher than the players usually flew::

(Gryffindor Seeker)

Drake sprinted out onto the Pitch, newly bought Firebolt over his shoulder. He grinned, looking around the Pitch. THe whole team wasn't here yet, but they rarely were. "Good luck everyone." He winked and Elana and Amby as he mounted his broom, kicking off from the ground. Though the November air was chilled, he loved how it felt to be in the air again. Hopefully this match wouldn't end up like the last one almost had...he was still a bit sore around the ribcage after taking that Bludger, but he felt up to playing. He felw high above the Pitch and hoevered there, green eyes darting about.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::Elana gave Drake a quick wave and a smile before flying up to Lifey. Once up, she stayed about level with the Chaser, looking out for oncoming Bludgers.::

::That last hit of hers had helped to get rid of some anger, though now she felt horrible about hurting Amby. I'll appologize after the game, she decided, and her grip tightened on her bat, waiting for a Bludger.::

(gryffindor beater)

::WL zoomed around the pitch and grabbed the bludger...she wanted to get rid of some pent-up frustration so she whacked it hard at the Ravenclaw Chaser formation, so that it swung by close to amber, like one of their plays.

AMby recognised it and with a thumbs up, she gave an extra swing so that it made the chasers scatter like ten pins...::

"STRIKE!"

Traci laughed as she saw the awsome play the chaser that had been carring the quaffle dropped it from being bumped into as people scattereed traci flew underneath and cought it with her finger tips she went over to the4 gaol post was on one sid so the keeper would follow her but thre it to the other side as hard as she could the keeper almost got it but it zoomed past her and went into the hoop.

(Commentator)


"Gryffindor has come back into it and this looks to be a very heated match! There's no way either team is backing down. Ravenclaw has really got it together. Every one of their team members is on the field and they're on fire! Lily is a rough player and she has trained her team so well this season. But Amy's Gryffindors have a good roar as well. And there we see another score! I think we've had so much action out on this field today! Ohhhh and Jimmy is really hitting those bludgers. Good to see such power in this game!! ~Jesse shouted also feeling the rush of excitement~ "And the crowd's on their feet Chants of "Ravenclaw!!! " Are filling the air but there's also a muffled "Gryffindor chant starting up!" ~He took a moment to breathe then conrtinued~ "THIS IS ONE AWESOME GAME! AND I HAVE A FEELING IT'S NOT OVER YET!"

Jimmy flashed a thumbs up at Jesse in the commentator booth, before the sight of his chasers scattering drew his attention. His hand tightened around his bat as he began to fly towards the commotion.

They were up to something, he knew it. Just not what yet.

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber rolled her eyes.::

"Of coarse its not over yet! If it was some one would have won!" ::she yelled before a nearby bludger caught her attention.:: "Now if you'll excuse me I have blugers to chase after."

::She quickly caught up to the bludger and whacked it at Lily.::

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Jimmy veered off at the last second, pushing his Comet to intercept Amber's bludger. With the barest of feet remaining he lunged for the careening ball with his bat, stretching his arm out as far as it would go...

...Only to miss, feeling the buffeting displacement of its wake as his bat stopped short by a couple of inches.

"Dammit," he growled, "LILY! Incoming!"

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber grinned, finally things seemed to be looking up.::

"Now now Jimmy! You can't be swearing there are little first years watching!" ::she said.::

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber saw that Lily had gotten the quaffle.::

"Darn!" ::she said, she looked around for a nearby bludger but there weren't any. She saw one a bit away and taking the distance divided by the time she'd meet it in 5 minutes.::

"Worth a shot!" ::She said, zooming after it. When she finally caught up to it she quickly hit the bludger toward Lily using a tremendous amount of force. She grinned as it sailed toward her a very high speed.::
