The Winter Ball

"I a fan of the horntail myself," Dani said. "But there's only one problem I've have to leave all my friends behind.

"You could come back and visit us, or maybe you can set up a dragon reserve here. I am sure there will be others willing to work with you." Sky said.

"That's true, but that still two+ years away," She sighed

"well, it gives you plenty of time to think about it." Sky said.
"So, do you think I should go for transfiguration or herbology?"

"Herbology, definatly." Dani said smoothing out a crease in her ruby red dress.

"Yes, I think I will go for Herbology. I am sure Sprout will want me to replace her. She told me not too long ago she was thinking about retirment. I love the magical plants and herbs, but I will make sure I keep my robes a little more cleaner." Sky told Dani.

"Nice dress, by the way. Did you get it in Diagon alley?"

"No," She replied easily, "I um...made it." She said, she didn't want Sky to know she was poor and barly making enough money to suport herself, let alone her cousin Sandy.

Sandy looked at the wall confussed, it had kept her there for hours. She glanced around it, to find the hall empty before the wall blocked her veiw. Sandy backed up a bit then tried to jump up and pull herself over the wall. But then it just flunged her off. She landed back on the ground in cat potition, and glared at the menceing wall. Sitting down she closed her eyes and tried to think.

Sky heard a banging from outside the door. "Did you hear that guys. I think something just thumped against a wall over there." Sky pointed her finger in the direction of where she heard the bang.

Dani looked at the wall, sniffing the air. "It's Sandy," She stood up. "I'll be back," She said in a very Arnold Swartsiniger way.

"HELP!" Sandy screamed gettting more frustrated as one more minute passed. "I THINK THE WALL IS STAKING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She calpased once again, wondering if anyone heard her.

Dani sighed and walked into the hall, where Sandy was going crazy. "Pull yourself together!" She yanked her cousin to her feet,

Sky ran to where the girls were. "Did you say the wall was stalking you? Huh?"

"Don't listen to a thing Sandy says, shes...a little unsettled." Dani said

Sandy stared at both at them, then glared at her cousin. "Well you would think that the wall was stalking you too if it wouldn't let you go anywhere for hours on end!" She was still angry, but then sighed then turned to Sky. "It's ok you don't have to believe me." She glared at her cousin again, "Seeing as nobody ever does."

"Fine, I'm done watching out for you, Your on your own."

"Done Watching Out For Me! Done Watching Out For Me!" Sandy snapped, tears began to flow freely from her eyes. "Dani you aren't one to be talking! Ever since that incident i've been watching you like there was no tomarrow! Not only i'm i the sole provider for the both of us, but i make sure that you aren't always getting into things that you shouldn't!" She wiped her tears away fed up of crying. "I promised Dani, but you know what? I don't think i can keep it any longer, mom made me promise. But i just can't live like this anymore." She turned toward Sky, "Sorry, it's sort of family stuff, but hopefully, your 'Friend' will fill you out. I mean that's what 'friends' do right?" Then she walked off.

"Wow, is she always like that Dani? What is wrong with her?" Sky asked with a weird look on her face.

After he had finished eating, Zexi followed Dani and Sky to where they headed, and listened from a distance

"She's depressed..has been like that ever since I broke up with her..From what I've seen anyways, Right, Dani?"

He shakes his head rolling his eyes

"She's being to immature."

(I'M BEING TOO IMUTURE!!!!)

"She's always like that, ever since our folks died and it was me and her. The last Goodsmans left. And she blamed me for it." Dani said smoothing out the creases in her dress, "It didn't help that you two broke up,"

"Hey Zexicon!" Sky said to her friend. "So, that's what's wrong with her. I was starting to wonder what her issue was. Was a bit scarier earlier, she thought she was being stalked by a wall!"

"She's mental," Dani muttered. Looking at her two friends

"Mental..hmm, not quite.."

Glances to Sky, giving a little wave, then faces Dani

"I don't know why I went out with her in the first place.."

Looks to make sure she's gone

"I didn't really like her that much anyways.."

"Shes a good person," She looked over his head, "Have you seen Vale latly?"

Sandy was just behind the wall as she heard Zex, she glared at the wall infront of her, and it melted under her gaze. "So he was messing with me." She said in a calm whisper, "well he's going to wish that he hadn't." she muttered a spell under her breath, then smiled satitsedfied when she heard screams. Zex no longer had any clothing on.

"I'm sure she's nice...yeah."

He shrugs at the mention of Vale

"I don't really care, so I don't pay attention. So I don't know."

Dani covered her eyes, "Um...I'll be back," She said, avvoiding her friend's gaze, "By the way, I'd put some clothing on."

After realizing he's stand naked..He flushes...really unaware of what to do. But doesn't scream.

"Accio, Black Hoodie!, Accio, Black Xome pants!"

A hoodie, and tight black pants fly to him. He walks off, to be away from them and goes to get dressed.

Sandy stood in her Dorm looking over Zex in her crystal ball, then giggled, "Oh i bet he can't wait untili play the next trick up my sleave."

Dani had the feeling of what was going on, she could almost sense it. She changed into her wolf form and ran down the halls to the Hufflepuff Commonroom, where she changed back to normal and ran up the stairs leading to her Dorm.

Sandy heard a noise, hid her crytal ball quickly then pretended to be asleep.

Dani kicked open the door, it was unnesisary of course but it made for the dramtic effect. "Sandy! I know what your up to!" She yelled and wandering over to her cousin's bed she kicked the pretend sleeper, "That was horribly mean!"

Sandy glared at her, "AND AS IF PLAYING AROUND WITH ME WASN'T!" She stormed out of the room, "Our family has been splited, and everyone i try to like only just make my life more of a pain, Dani! I don't know what there is left for me to do!" She almost began to cry, but stopped herself, she was sick and tired of crying. "I'm sick and tired of crying i need to go and do something about it now!
So leave me to my bussines, and i'll leave you to yours."

Dani took a step back, "You hate me don't you?"

"No...I...Don't" Sandy said slowly carefully thinking her words, she loved Dani as a sister, but everything was getting out of hand. "I just need a mirical, and not a boy messing around with my feelings like Zex did. If i hate anyone it's him."

"Okay," Dani said. "I just don't want you to go too." She frowned and straightened up, "I'm going back to the dance."

Sandy sighed, "I'll come with you... i need to get my mind off of things..."

After about two hours or so, He finishes the book.

"No point in staying up here alone. Besides, I don't really care...that much."

Throws the toilet paper out and calmly walks back down to the greathall. He takes a seat at the table him, Vale, Dani and Sandy would usually sit at.

Dani opened the door to the great hall(again) and sat down at the nearest table, the one Zex was sitting at,

Puts his arm down on the table, by accident, wrist facing down. He notices the pain right away, winces, then quickly puts it back on his knee

"Hello."

Sandy came down, then stopped Zex was there, she walked slowly and sat by Dani, and quickly began to put food on her plate. then ate slowly

Dani nodded to Sandy's arival and seeing Zex's look of pain she grabbed his arm and flipped it over. "What happened."

Sandy saw the cuts then dropped her food, oh my gosh he cutted himself! He's trying to kill himself...just like i tryed to...

Glares at her, pulling his arm back away from her

"None of your buisness, Dani..."

Slumps down on the table

"And how are you girls tonight."

"Misrable" Sandy answered slightly, "Maybe i can kill myself in my sleep... do you think that's possitable Dani?"

"You two are crazy, how can you think of killing yourselfs, when out of here, there are innocent people who'd give anything to breath another breath."

"I'd give them mine if i knew how..." Sandy said thinking aloud, "Do you think there is some kind of charm that will do that?"
