Yule Ball

"One in three chance of being alright then?" Holly said, debating whether this was good or not.

Raven nodded.
"Keep talking to her. I'm going to try and get into her mind."

"Shadow....Ravens going to help you...you'll be ok," said Natalie, trusting Raven fully with what she was abou to do.

Raven bit her lip and went into Shadow's mind.

"Um Shadow," Holly said, "Think of all the people that love you....Nat.....Eliza.....Jamie.....me.....other....pople....,"

Raven pulled out of her mind, biting her lip.

"Think of Hogwarts...your life....all you have to gain...and all you have to lose," said Natalie.

She looked at Raven

"What happened?" she asked.

"It's done." Raven said.

"Will she be the way she was?" Natalie asked.

"We have to wait until the potion wears off." Raven said.

"Ahhh...we'll all stay here with her then....or should we take her to her room to rest?" Natalie asked.

"It better have worked" Holly murmured, and looked at Raven.
"Well done," she said.

"It will have, Raven knows her stuff," said Natalie quietly.

"Good job," she said.

Raven picked up a rope that she had brought with her and bound Shadow's hands.
"We had better leave her alone for now, but stay here to keep an eye on her." She also tied a strip of material around her eyes before retreating to sit a few meters away, watching Shadow carefully.

Holly followed her and sunk onto the ground next to her sighing.
"This isnt how i planned to spend the yule ball," she said.

"Me either," replied Hayley who although had been completely silent through the comotion, had been quietly hoping Shadow would be okay. She sat down next to Holly, and sighed.

"I found Gareth...but I can't lose I friend just to go gallavanting with my boyfriends," Natalie pointed out.

"Yeah," Hayley agreed, and then felt guilty that Jake was there, and her focus wasn't entirely on Shadow's well being.

Natalie looked at Shadow.

"She'll be ok...its Shadow...of course she will," said Natalie, "I know she will."

"She better be," Holly muttered, thinking of Riley, whom she had probably stood up.
She whipped out her wand, muttered something, and sent a patronus to Riley as best she could. She had never done it before, but it was successful.

"Nice patronus....is that a monkey?" Natalie asked.

"Spider monkey," Holly said nodding, and George settled himself on her knee, ready for a long night of waiting.

"We'll probably have to make camp here...you know...till we know she's ok," said Natalie, "it might be fun"

"Yeah," Holly said doubtfully.
She glanced up sharply, as there had been a rustling in the bushes.
For a moment she panicked, but then realised, it was Riley.

"Oh...hey Riley," said Natalie, drawing breathe.

Raven watched the others silently, lost in her own thoughts. She glanced over at Shadow, who was beginning to stir.

"Is she waking?" Holly asked enthusiastically, as Riley came to her side.
"Hi," he said, out of breath, "I got your message, is Shadow alright?"

Raven nodded, frowning.

Holly sighed a breath of relief.
"Thank goodness," she said.

"But I don't know how she's going to act." Raven warned.

Holly furrowed her brow and Riley looked confused.
"Whats going on?" he asked.

"Hi Riley," said Hayley, she tried to answer his question, but wasn't sure what to say.

"Hi Hayley," he said.
"Um, basically Shadow was going to become a full demon, but shes alright now....sorry I kinda stood you up,"
"Not a problem," Riley said quickly, "This was more important,"

Shadow woke to find herself blinded and tied. She panicked, not knowing what was going on.

Holly's eyes widened and she made her way over to Shadow warily, wandering if this kid was demon or not.
She crouched by her side.
"Shadow...," she said, as Riley joined her, "Shadow....this is Holly....do you remember me?"

Shadow struggled against the bonds. She heard a voice, not quite able to pin point who it was.
"Help!"

Holly panicked a little, wandering whether it would be safe to let a possible demon run around school.
She raised her wrist to point her wand at Shadow, but Riley grabbed it quickly.
"What is shes demon?" he whispered.
Holly shrugged half heartedly and cast the spell anyway.
The ropes came away.

Shadow looked around.
"Where am I?"

Hayley drew breath, and wondered wether Shadow would be demon or not.

"Not demon." Raven explained, "If she was, she'd be killing everything in sight."

Hayley sighed with relief. "Thank God," she said, half smiling.

"Thank Raven," Holly corrected, and Riley and George nodded.

"Who are you?" Shadow asked. "And where am I?"

((yup lol))

"Yeah," said Hayley. "I know Shadow and I...aren't really....friends you could say, but I'm really glad she's okay,"
Jake nodded, not knowing what to say,so agreeing with Hayley.

"Um...Holly," Holly said, quite scared, "You remember Holly right?"
"And George?" George piped up.

Shadow looked at them with a blank look on her face.

Holly looked at Raven.
"What happened?" she asked her.

Shadow followed Holly's gaze and saw Raven.
"Rae!" She said.
"Shadow, you know I hate that name."
"Sorry, Raven, Arella's dead..." A tear fell from Shadow's eye.

Raven nodded, understanding.
"The demonic battle has had an effect on her memory."

"She....she doesnt remember me?" Holly asked.
Riley bit his lip.

"Give her time." Raven said softly. "It's a bit like anemisia, she'll recover eventually."
