"If the demon does take over, she won't BE Shadow any more." Raven said gently. "I don't want to hide the truth from you."

Holly watched the scene confused and scared.
"There must be SOMETHING we can do!" she said desperately, "Think Raven, Think!"

"Please Raven," Natalie pleaded.

"There's only one thing I can think of right now," Raven said. "isolate her."

"How.will.that.help?" Natalie said, trying not to cry.

"Right," Holly said, rolling up the sleves of the dress she had been worrying about earlier. This put things in perspective.
"Tell us what to do Raven,"

"I don't know! This is what I learnt in my dimension!" Raven snapped, pacing. "And I'm not sure that you helping will be a good idea."

Holly cocked her head to the side annoyed.
"Well if you cant do it by yourself, we'll be over here!" Holly snapped back, "And we care about her too you know!"

"Look, have you ever seen her demonic?" Raven asked.

Natalie fell silent, and let tears roll down her face.

She sank to her knees beside the hovering Shadow and placed a hand on her hair.

"This is goodbye then....I'm sorry," said Natalie, trying to swallow her tears, "I'm better off not helping...Raven knows best."

"Mildly," Holly said, remembering when she had pushed her over earlier, "Never fully,"

Shadow looked at Holly, feeling her own tears well up in her eyes.
"I'm sorry." She said softly. Raven turned to Holly.
"We're gonna have to put up with full demon."

Natalie remained beside Shadow.

"Please don't do this Shadow...please," Natalie whispered tears choking her.

Raven put a hand on her shoulder.
"This wasn't her choice."

Holly looked down at Shadow and swallowed. She didnt hold a grudge, and so shrugged off the apology.
"What do you mean?" she whispered to Raven, without taking her eyes off Shadow.

"We are half demon. Shadow's always known that some day, this would come." Raven said.

Natalie sobbed onto the levitating Shadow.

"You can fight it," Holly said, "You can do something that will stop it happening cant you!"
She stared at the two.
"CANT YOU?"

Shadow touched back down to the ground, giving Natalie a hug.
"I'm sorry."
"I can try going into her mind, but I can't promise anything." Raven said.

Holly glanced from one to the other, nodding, hoping desperatly, in her little confused mind, that everything would turn out alright.

Natalie sobbed harder.

"Thank God...thank god," Natalie sobbed, hugging Shadow.

Raven rolled her eyes.

Holly swallowed, thinking the situation over, thinking she wouldnt be able to bear it if Shadow became a full demon.

"Sorry..." said Natalie, letting go of Shadow, and she went and hugged Raven instead.

Raven pulled away.
"Shadow might accept that, but I don't." She threatened.

Holly watched the two bicker, trying to imagine that they were by the black lake, and it was just a normal day.

Natalie jumped backwards.

"Sor-ry....will you accept this complimentary fast pass for increadible hulk rollar coaster in florida," said Natalie, holding it out for Raven.

Shadow stiffened, holding her head and hissing in pain. Raven darted over to her.
"Shadow, listen to me, don't let it though!"

NAtalie kneeled beside Shadow again.

"Shadow...remember me...its Natalie," said Natalie, as though talikng to someone who had just had a bump on the head, "can you hear me?"

Holly looked at Natalie.
"Not a good time," she said, then turned to the twins to watch them, crossing her fingers for a good outcome.

Raven went into efficient mode.
"Nat, keep talking to her, keep her human side focused. I need some one to bind her!"

Natalie got up and watched the twins, also hoping for a good outcome.

"Nat, I need you to keep her focused, and some one needs to bind her in case she does go demon on us." Raven said, starting to panic slightly.

Holly debated between helping Natalie and helping Raven, and eventually decided on neither.
"Raven- what will I do?" she called, approaching.

"You can help...here...kneel beside Shadow with me," said Natalie, "Shadow...its your friends Holly and Nat here...listen...don't go all demonic....don't give in...your a cool person Shad."

"Holly...cover her eyes," said Natalie to Holly.

"Cover her eyes?" Holly repeated, reaching out to do so.

"She needs to be blinded...now Shadow listen....Raven is doing her best for you....you need to stay who we know you are...Shadow....hey Raven?" said natalie suddenly, as she though of something, "if this works do you think Shadow could ever be a full human?"

Raven shook her head.
"No, she will never be fully human, but she may have more control." Raven said. She disappeared for a few seconds before re-appearing with a few potions.

"That would be great!" Holly called over to Raven, but kept a firm grip over Shadow's eyes.
"Keep in the real world Shad.....remember the time you got into the band? And Jamie was there and stuff-"

"Help me...The pain..." Shadow said softly. Raven bit her lip.
"Ok, I need to give her this now..." She said to herself, picking out a greyish potion.

"She can't die...can she...I mean...this could kill her?" asked Natalie, concerned.

"Shadow...your our best friend.....were your weirdos...stay with us Shadow," said Natalie softly in Shadows ear.

Natalie looked at Holly when she said Jamie and smiled.

"I'm afraid that it is very possible." Raven said, giving Shadow the potion. Shadow coughed before swaying slightly.

"Shadow...stay with us...are you ok?" Natalie said softly.

Holly bit her lip and held her breath.

"Shadow...Shadow....has it worked?" Natalie asked.

"It's the potion I gave her. Eliminates all emotion." Raven explained, preparing to go into Shadow's mind.

"Will she never to be able to experience happiness...sadness..anger...anything?" said Natalie desperately.

"Any chance of it....not working?" Holly said, indicating "Is there a chance we'll get neither back?"

"Yes, she will, it's temporary." Raven said. "There's a chance that she dies, or she comes out either in human mind or demon mind."

Natalie bit her lip. Each of the possibilities were divided into equal parts.
