10 years later. Shadow and Jamies house.

Jamie ran down the stairs in a hurry, pulling on his sweater.
"hey..." he said to the person sitting on the stool in the kitchen...

"Whose that?" Someone asked from behind Violet. Violet looked over at Saken. "Shadow and Raven's half brother. And that's Shadow and your uncle." Violet said, pionting to the pictures. "Its something I just keep with me."

"how did she know?" he asked Shadow wondering where Violet got the mother instinct

"She heard me throwing up." Shadow said.

Jamie raised an eyebrow,
"how long have you been throwing up then?" he asked her thinking that he too should have known the signs

Saken turned the page. "Whose that?" She asked, pointing to a baby. "Thats me, why I was little. My dad has loads of pictures of me and I took them." Violet said. "And that's Shadow again. And thats your uncle. And your other uncle." Violet said.

"A week or two." Shadow admitted.

"Here you look at it." Violet said, ahnding it to Saken. Violet looked out the window at Shadow and Jamie. "I hope they work out what they are going to do." She mumbled

Jamies eyes became nothing but a glitter and he asked her
"what are we going to do? Surely the upbringing would be hard?" he asked her thinking that baby demons wouldn't be too friendly. And as he was never a baby demon then he couldn't ask his parents, well the remaining one..

"The Senate will probably force us to let them take them into custody." Shadow said quietly.

Violet walked back outside. "Hey you two." She said. "Have you firgured out what your going to do?" She asked

Shadow shook her head.
"It's gonna take longer than that."

"Look, I love you two. But what are you going to do when they find out?" Violet asked, bending down.

"Find out what?" Shadow asked.

"Find out you are having twins." Violet said. "You know what I'm talking about."

Jamie looked at Shadow,
"there's nothing we can do, but we must try and keep this a secret until we can barricade them out.." Jamie said,
"you must tell Saken not to tell anyone, as i take it she already knows.."

"She does." Violet said.

"well someone needs to tell her not to tell ANYONE under no circumstances..." Jamie told Viuolet thinking she'd be the best one...

"They'll find out eventually." Shadow said.

"well we can hold them off a little...." he said "i want these kids, they belong to us.." he told Shadow smiling

"I will, seeing as I do everything." Voilet said, walking back inside. "You cant tell no one about your aunt and uncle." Violet said. Saken wasnt moving. "Saken?" Violet asked. Violet looked over her shoulder to see her readin a news paper clipping. "Dont read that." Voilet whispered.

Shadow sighed, rubbing her temples.
"This is going to be very hard."

"Whats this about?" She asked Violet. Violet shook her head. "It's nothing." Violet said, putting it in her pocket.

Jamie offered Shadow his hand and then pulled her up
"come on inside now.... no point staying out side all night.." he said

Shadow accepted the hand, standing up.
"The Senate will find out soon, so we have to be ready."

"Who is it about?" Saken said. "It's about no one." Violet said, taking her scrap book back.

"listen... if we can make a deal with them then thats what we'll do.... surely some demons will take money instead of children" he said to her being serious

"They're not demons, Raven and I were the only ones. They're the Synari, a bit like white-lighters." Shadow said.

Jamie nodded his head, well the whitelights only take children away for schgoll hours like normal muggle scholls so maybe they would be okay sending them there if its the education they care about then thats the place for them

Saken snatched the book from her. "Who was it about!" She yelled. Violet glared and turned to the door. "I said no one" Violet sneered and walked out of it to see Jamie adn Shadow. Ignoring them, she walked to the swing.

Shadow shook her head.
"Raven and I were taken to cut us off from society. We were too 'dangerous'."

"listen these kids will do fine, they're not dangerous because they have good in them too.... we should just learn to embrace that, really the more you embrace it in pregnacy the better they will be." he told shadow...

Saken followed Violet. "Who is it about." She sneered. Violet glared. "It's about no one. Ok." Violet said, sitting down.

Shadow nodded slowly.
"Ok."

Jamie smiled then looked over at Violet and Saken
"whats going on?" he asked her

"Her. She wont leave me alone." Violet said.

" what is it shes annoying you with?" he asked her,,,

"About something that about years ago." Violet said.

Shadow strode over to Saken and had a quick talk to her.

"It;s about my aunt and uncle. They burned up in that building, remeber?" Violet asked. "I just dont like talking about it."

Shadow turned back to Violet and Jamie.

"I think I'm just going to go..." Violet said.

Shadow nodded, walking back to the house, one anrm protectivly over her stomach.

"Dont do that!" Violet hissed. "Someone will know." She said. And walked to the tree house.

Shadow nodded, letting her arm hang by her side. She watched Violet climb the tree until she was hit by a black bolt of magic. She fell to the ground, cursing in pain. She looked round, seeing Raven looking sad and a few members of the Senate guard.

"No." Violet whispered. "WHAT DO YALL THINK YOUR DOING!" She yelled, bending by Shadow.

"Strict orders from the Senate." Raven said emotionlessly.

"Leave her alone." Violet said.

"We can't." Raven said, signalling to one of the guards, who bent to pick Shadow up.

"Wait!" Violet yelled. "Can't we have a few more hours. Please. I'm leaving to go and see Shaeman. I want a few hours with her." Violet said.
