Thoughts and Opinions Thread

First topic message reminder :

This is the thread where members can post their graphics creations for other people to see, and for thoughts and opinions to be given. Consider it a sort of 'showing off' thread, if you like, but also a place where you can receive constructive criticism for aspects of your graphic making.

Here's my latest graphic, just a simple colourisation, which I'm planning to put on the up for grabs section of my graphics site. My biggest problem with it though is, like always, the text. I'm not sure if it overpowers the image.

Ooh I really like that Marie. Perhaps the writing could be a bit bigger, though thats just a suggestion because I love it

I really like the red riding one...it's all about the hood...lol. But the rapunzel one is sorta unclear and it looks...odd. No offense, but rapunzel looks like her skin is cracking and crumbling...like she's been in the tower for years and she's starting to decay. Which would be true, but in the stories rapunzel always looks pretty even though she's been in the tower for years. Hmm. She also looks like she has a black eye...poor dear. XD

I love the lonely one... it really gives the impression of lonliness without giving off a feeling of overwhelming depression. It seems almost as if the girl in the graphic(s) feels fine about the loneliness of nature... ?

ooo cookie that's really pretty!! The only thing that bothers me is the white font.

hmm I agree with Becca, though its not just the colour that bother me, but the font itself... its too big but not by size, just the font itself, and it doesn't fit with the style of the graphic

That's great cookie, but I have to agree with Marie, the font doesn't fit.

I think, if you put "summer in the city" in a very simple font, something like Optimus Printemps, or Times New Roman, all on one line in a similar place to where it is now, keep it black, and perhaps around size 14 font. Then, put the "waiting for you" in a more fancy font, maybe windsong, jane austen underneath the other text, in a smaller size and a different colour.

Not sure how that would look, but it can't hurt to try. Other than the font, it's a really good blend

I made a new sig last night and I'm quite happy with it ^^

lol actually, the text is a brush, and it was meant to be that small ^^ well I wanted it smaller, but it wasn't large enough if I put it smaller so I went for that size

Well, I recently discovered the genius of Doctor Who Cat Macro's and Motivational Posters. They're hilarious (and I would link to the community, but won't because a) hardly anyone watches dr who so wouldn't get it, and b) there's some unsuitable stuff there)
