Thoughts and Opinions Thread

First topic message reminder :

This is the thread where members can post their graphics creations for other people to see, and for thoughts and opinions to be given. Consider it a sort of 'showing off' thread, if you like, but also a place where you can receive constructive criticism for aspects of your graphic making.

Here's my latest graphic, just a simple colourisation, which I'm planning to put on the up for grabs section of my graphics site. My biggest problem with it though is, like always, the text. I'm not sure if it overpowers the image.

But I think the writing in the bottom left corner is a bit hard to read.
Other than that, its great!

What about this? I tried adding text, but when I saved it aggain it got blurry... so here it is for now. Its my first ever blend too! I am so happy! haha

That's really well blended, Kathrine! I'm terrible at that sort of precision blending, well done!

Perhaps change the colouring a bit, or throw a couple of textures or patterns on the top?

Wow...that's really good katherine! I would never be able to do anything like that! I suck with computers and stuff like that! lol!

How do you do precision blending?

Well, I use the Gimp, so I am not sure if its the same, but I use a lot of layers. I oculd do a tutorial on it, though I am not sure if it could help everyone. I pasted the original image on the first layer, and then opened a new transparent layer, pasted the picutre again.. moved it a bit. Then I erased everything around Emmas head. After that, I openesd another transparent layer, pasted the picture of her head, and cut out everything I didnt want.

Ohhh, I like it. Good blending, and the colors match the mood just right :]
I also think the font placement is very good.
The only thing that annoys me is that his fist is a bit blurry, but maey thats just me.

I love it.... though it makes me so sad.... T_T

I really like Bella Version Three and Lily One! Those are really good! I also like Bella number two but not as much as three and the first one was good but I like it with text better!

Hmmm....I think it looks fine but you might want a "graphic expert" to look at it and not me! *looks embarrassed* not good with graphic stuff

Mabey some black brushes that would just pop agianst those colors... I dont know what of though :/

Some floral brushes around the gap at the top perhaps, with writing nestled in? I agree with Kathrine that black brushes would look good.

I'm planning on writing a tutorial for this signature later.

I like it. The only thing that really sticks out to me is the different coloring of the two people. The first is more red, while the second has a rather green tint. Like, if you know what I mean...

wow love that banner, the dark parts make the whole thing very mysterious like and the flower on the side is a cool touch

the dark space in the middle left seem a bit...empty..or is it okay like that? also the bugs look deformed since i resized them xD

cookiemonster: it's really nice. but you could make it a tad darker (only a little) the font is okay though

Ingrid, I think it's great! I agree about the border, cos the way it is now makes the girl's head go a little odd looking...

This isn't technically a graphic, but I designed it, so...

I got bored earlier so decided to revamp my personal website. I've been meaning to do it for a while, ever since I accidentally deleted the CSS of the old layout :D

Anyway, I'm very proud of this one because I did most of the coding from scratch - though the layout idea I got from my new LJ theme.
