Yule Ball

Hayley sat down on the grass, and Jake followed. "Do you remember what happened? When Raven and you fought?" Jake said.

Shadow frowned slightly, before nodding slowly.

Jake bit his lip. "It was really scary," He didn't know why he said it, but he did all the same.

Shadow shrugged.
"It's a bit fuzzy."

"No surprise," said Hayley, "Raven said it would take some time for your memory to come back fully."

Shadow nodded.
"yeah..."

"Do you think that'll happen again?" asked Hayley. "Like what happened last night?"

"I don't know, most probably." Shadow said.

"Good thing Raven came to help," said Hayley, gratefully.

Shadow nodded.
"Yes, other wise, you would probably be dead."

"Nice to know," replied Hayley grinning.

"Just telling the truth." Shadow said.

"Yeah..." replied Hayley. "I'm glad nothing got too...serious. Well it was serious, but I'm glad there were no fatalities."

"So am I." Shadow said, carefully pushing a few memories to the back of her mind.

Hayley frowned. "Are you remembering?" she said carefully.

"I remember a lot, most of which I don't WANT to remember." Shadow said.

Again Hayley frowned, not sure what to say. "I guess, it's...bad?" she said.

"I don't want to talk about it." Shadow said.

"Okay," replied Hayley not wanting to pry any more.

Holly watched the two talk, and sunk onto the grass next to them.
"Glad youre okay," she murmured to Shadow, "And sorry about the stunning spell,"

"Next time, try casting one a little less powerful." Shadow said with a small smile.

"I think you dozed off," said Hayley grinning at Holly.

"Thinking," she said grinning, "ANd yeah....ill TRY"

"Good." Shadow said. She found another memory, which she shoved to the back of her mind as well.

Holly motioned to George not to go a-poking into Shadows thoughts.
She remembered how it had felt when Shadow was inside HER head.

Hayley then cunjured a cup of tea for herself, as it was cold. "Anyone want one?" she asked. "Why don't we go inside?" she stroked Elliott on her shoulder who was shivering also.

George shivered too, and made his way up onto Hollys shoulder.
"Sounds good," she said, "Can you walk alright Shadow?"

Hayley and Jake got up off the ground, ready to go in. They were waiting to see if Shadow could walk okay.

Natalie turned round, realising Shadow was finally awake. She ran and hugged her.

"Thank God....did my Enervate spell wake you...or was it of your own accord?" Natalie asked.

"C'mon Nat," said Hayley, "We're going inside,"

"Come on Nat,"

Hayley and Jake walked forward, Elliott fluttering behind. They then stopped. "Shadow, you coming?"

Natalie walked with them. Gareth was waiting for her at the door.

"Hi Gareth," said Hayley. "I'm wrecked," she said to Jake.

"You look it," said Natalie, looking at Jakes tired face.

Raven pulled her sister's arm around her shoulders and followed the others. Shadow was still only have conscious, and relied on Raven after things like that.

"Let's go," said Hayley and with Jak'es arm around her shoulders, they set off for the Great Hall.

Raven followed them silently, not saying anything.

When they finally got to the Great Hall, the warmth grreted them....warmly. Hayley and Jake sat down, and offered more chairs to the other people. The hall was empty, exceppt for a few late stragglers, and of course, the people who had just entered.

Raven sat Shadow down on a chair and said something in a strange language. Shadow replied softly in the same language.

Hayley didn't know what they were saying, but conjured a hovering tray of hot tea and coffee. "Help yourself," she said to the others, and happily took a steaming mug of tea.

Raven asked Shadow something, but Shadow shook her head.

Hayley was unsure of what they were discussing, and was silently wondering. Jake took a mug of tea, and thanked Hayley. She smiled.

Raven sensed Hayley's emotions, but closed her mind to them.

Hayley felt her eyes closing. "I'm so tired," she said to Jake.

"It's been a long night." Raven pointed out.

Hayley smiled weakly. "Yeah, it has,"

Raven smiled slightly.
"Aye."

"I think I'll head to the common room soon," Hayley said.

Raven nodded.
"We'd better go soon as well."
